The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

The memories of the most recent embarrassing events in her life were still unfolding in her mind as Alexandra was changing her swim suit with a pair of jeans and a tee shirt, all of them more than decent. She really needed the young boy named Dom to focus on what she was saying and nothing else. Her hair was dried up now and pulled into a loose ponytail, her face fresh and without any make up.
Her mind was still working on what the hell could she say to Dominic and coming out with a blank. She was unsure where the sex talk would even start and on a second thought it seemed a bad idea. There were many things the boy needed to find out and besides that… he needed to be convinced about them too. She was quite sure that his current beliefs were strong and certainly not easy to deal with but then again no one had her sign up for this, she did it all by herself. Facepalm for that, Alexandra, she told herself. As if she wasn’t having enough problems already.
Leaving her room with a sigh she headed for the living room, the place where she had set the meeting. She was happy that the room was at least empty, most of the students being out or just doing their own things. It wasn’t like she needed any witnesses for the probably uncomfortable talk she was about to have. Rubbing her temples and closing her eyes, she breathed out loudly as she sat on one of the couches, waiting for Dom to get there. If he would show up, that is. If he didn’t… well, she couldn’t actually blame him either.
So....here was a day that was supposed to be your average day. Just a day to chill and spend time to get to know his older brother who had been out of his life for 13 years. So how the heck did it get to be so twisted? That was what ran through Dominic's mind as he headed from his room and towards the living room to meet Alexandra. Good lord, Alexandra. The mere thought of the girl stirred Dominic up into a nervous frenzy. Was there anyway he'd be able to look at her again after the pool incident? After having seen her exposed and of all things, now she was going to give him 'the talk' and even though Dominic mentioned that he had already had the talk, apparently what he had been told was wrong and Circe was gonna lay the real business down on the table. This would be interesting indeed. He would have been more comfortable getting the talk from Sam but no, let the girl he snoo snooed in the ice cylinder educate him about procreation.
He entered the living room...he saw her actually dressed properly, even still all he could think about was that moment when Sam ripped off her top. He dug into his fresh pair of khaki pants and pulled out some sun glasses to place over his eyes. That way if they were to wander on Alexandra, she wouldn't see it, though he would try his best to avoid staring.
"...Hi." Dominic said quickly placing the shades on and taking a seat on the couch, facing slightly away from Alex.
Alexandra was still rubbing her temples in a circular motion while thinking what on earth could she tell the 16 year old boy about sex. She wasn’t the right one to do this, she thought over and over again, seeing as she didn’t got there with anyone yet. But at least she knew the damn basics and someone needed to enlighten Dom about the fact that he wasn’t going to go to jail or rot in hell for being intimate with someone.
She wondered what kind of parents could tell their son this but knowing that some people liked to go to the extremes and they certainly believed what they were saying, the fact wasn’t much of a shock anymore. The ‘reproduction, reproduction’ lyrics were being played as a highly annoying tune somewhere in the back of her mind. “Get a grip.” she muttered to herself as the circular motion was abruptly ended. Dominic was seeing snoo-snoo in the wrong light but he certainly didn’t need to learn about bees and pollen.
Alexandra raised one of her knees to the level of her chin and let her head rest against it while thinking that Dom was skipping this meeting. Footsteps were heard and Alexandra shifted her eyes from the floor to Dom… Sunglasses? They certainly weren’t there to protect his eyes from the sun, Alexandra couldn’t help to think slightly amused. She also noticed that he wasn’t feeling any ease with this either. That made two of them. Taking a deep breath she shifted her position to watch the slightly facing away from her Dominic. “Hello Dom.” she said in a cool and practiced voice. “You will need to look at me in order to have this discussion properly.” she added with a smile, practiced as well. She cleared her throat again before starting to talk about the matter at hand. “So. Before I start talking, tell me exactly what do you know about-“ Pause. Sex? “snoo-snoo.” Pause. Look.
"Hey," Dominic replied when Alexandra greeted him, though he still kept his head turned to avoid any kind of eye contact. Then he listened as Alexandra speaking. Look.
"Great" Dominic thought to himself. As if this situation wasn't uncomfortable enough, she wanted the very thing Dominic tried to avoid. He figured he'd have to get over today's eventually because he couldn't just turn the other way every time she was around. Or could he? Naw, he'd have to be a man. If Sam had the guts to face Alex after ripping off her top, he could too.
"First of all, I really want to apologize for...um, smacking you. That wasn't right at all...it was just an attempt to look cool that ended up being an epic fail..." he said and looked to her. " As for what I know...I know...a man gets....you know....boing! And he....the girl...you know, they get close and the...they...and....then he's like oh! and she's like ah!....and then she gets pregnant, but if she isn't married, she dies when the child is born and the man is thrown in jail for murder..." he said twiddling his thumbs nervously and blushing deeply. What had he gotten himself into?
There was something about Dominic and his way to see things that made Alexandra feel the urge to roll on the floor and laugh to dead, no matter how mad she was at him. Because even after smacking her behind, it was impossible for her to be upset. She kept herself composed and instead of laughing she just smiled and nodded until he finished speaking.
As soon as he was finished, Alexandra cleared her throat and put on a serious face. At least as serious as she could, the hint of amusement still being there. "Okay, we're not going to talk about the oh's and the ah's involved, okay?" Alexandra extended her leg and took a deep breath. "Uhmm...se- snoo-snoo, besides being used for reproduction, it's a way to express your love." Blush. "You know, if you love a girl and she loves you back, snoo snoo it's the ultimate act of love-" Cough. Okay so she was lame at explaining this misleaded boy what sex meant in a relationship. Or at least the bright side of it anyways. "Of course, some don't do it because of love." she muttered shifting her eyes for a second. "It's your decision why you do it." Alexandra shrugged and took a long breath before continuing. "But it's not a deathly sin." At least, it wasn't in her perception as she wasn't that much of a God person. She had lost faith in any deities ever since she found out she was a step higher on the evolutionary scale than most of the humans. "And the girl doesn't get pregnant if you use protection, but that's another subject to be discussed."Another cough. Really, she wasn't going to tell Dom about condoms or birth control pills... "And if she does, that's the reproduction part of sex. It's normal, it's how you and me came to life and it's not gonna kill anyone as far as I know, married or not." She looked at Dom and waited to see if he was following anything she has been blabbering for the past minutes.
Awkward in deed. While Dominic tried to concentrate of Alexandra, it was just nearly impossible. I mean, the girl was too damn hot. It would have been more effective if he heard this speech from Sam. At least his eyes wouldn't be wandering a oogling the speaker like they were with Alexandra. Even though all he could think about was a soak and wet topless Alexandra, he still got some knowledge out of it. People snoo snoo to show their love. It's not a deathly sin and people do not die from having premarital snoo snoo.
"I know people have snoo snoo to earn a living, and I know people do die from snoo snoo because of HIV and AIDS also..." Dominic spoke up. Sure his adoptive parents messed with his head on the subject but he did learn a few things from television, magazine and the internet. "And I know the internet is built of videos and pictures of people having snoo snoo. The things I have seen, it makes me want to cry. Seriously. The things they do out there with snoo snoo...I can seriously believe that those acts are worthy of eternal damnation." he said blushing with embarrassment.
Blank face. Alexandra starred at Dominic for a second then blinked rapidly. “Errrr…” Cough. Clear throat. “Okay… Pornography gives a really nasty image to snoo snoo.” Rub temples. Stare. “So. When you …errr… do snoo snoo with someone you like it’s not like in those videos. I mean the basics are the same, I suppose, but… argh, you’ll have to do it to see what I mean.”
Blank face again. Stare. Blink. Frown. “But you don’t die and you don’t get any unwanted babies if you use protection.” Alexandra sighed hating Dominic’s sunglasses with a passion at that particular moment. She hated not seeing the eyes of the people she was talking with. “And not everytime a boy and a girl are alone or touch they snoo snoo…” A deep breath as she was about to get into a touchy subject. “Like what happened with me and your brother earlier. That was an accident… we didn’t-” swallow. “snoo-snoo.”
She looked at Dominic again, hopefully, he would get the last part right. NOTHING happened in the pool. Absolutely nothing. “You know Dom, the reason I’m saying all these… it’s that if you ever like a girl and feel like you should do this snoo snoo thing… i don’t want reasons like dieing because having premarital sex stop you. Worry about protection, about feelings, about getting the girl to do that with you… but not for rotting in hell.”
"I suppose...everything I learned was a lie then," Dominic sighed rubbing his own temples. Having been vulnerable and in a state of depression when his parents had died, the younger Dominic sought out the reasons why everything had turned out the way they did. Why he lost Sam 13 years ago and then his parents only 2 years past. His foster parents turned him onto religion for the answers and the whole while in the process warping his mind into believing their harsh and judgmental out look on sins.
"I get it now..." he said slightly ashamed and completely embarrassed by his accusations and pretty much everything that happened earlier that day. "Sorry..." he apologized again as he felt he owed her another one for saying that she snooed his brother. Still he couldn't help but be curious. Nah....that wouldn't be right to ask. Then again, why not? She's the one lecturing him, he assume she would have some experience in the subject and so, the question came.
"Have you ever had snoo snoo?" his face turned a bright red from embarrassment. Silly question. I mean, she was gorgeous so maybe she had but then again...maybe not? "Errr, ignore I asked that. You don't have to answer. That's a rude thing to ask...but I mean, if you don't care about answering it....yeah...."
Alexandra sighed in relief as Dominic appeared to understand what she has been saying. That meant her mission was accomplished. She felt the urge to grin, after all she didn’t believe this talk will take them anywhere but it was surprising how bright this kid was and how quickly he got it instead of lingering on his previous religious beliefs. Her guess was that Dominic wasn’t so deep into them anyway, so that’s why all he needed was someone to tell him they weren’t true. However, she resisted and her face remained serious.
At hearing his excuses once again, Alexandra gave the boy a slight pat on the shoulder and a smile to convince him it was okay. As long as it didn’t happen again, of course, but if the boy truly understood then that shouldn’t be a problem. She had the slight impression that Dominic wanted to ask something, however, he seemed pretty troubled about it.
While Alexandra was wondering what that could be, when Dominic finally got the courage to speak it out loud, her own face began to turn red once again. Surely, she should have expected that and in one way she was but that didn’t mean she was prepared to give an answer.
Of course, she could bail out of it and say she won’t tell, it was her right to keep private life a secret but that didn’t work very well with the fact that she had summoned the boy to the meeting. So there were the other two options remaining: one, tell the truth and say no, but would Dominic trust her words if he found out she was speaking from books, magazines and what she heard from friends? Or two, lie and tell that yes, hoping that the boy will stop the questioning about this subject at this particular question. Her mind battled on which of the answers she should choose and moments later she decided.
"Um....." Dominic sat stiffly giving a shift look to his left and then his right. He didn't really think she's answer the question, especially when he gave her the option of not having to do so. She chose to, her answer was yes, which was just great. This really was the most awkward conversation he had ever had in his 16 years of existence. Even more embarassing that when his foster parents taught him about snoo snoo. The difference between that talk and Circe's talk was, Circe was very attractive. "I wonder if I can snoo snoo with her..." he questioned in his mind, his face turning red at the thought. Yeah right. It was obvious she had eyes for his older brother. Dominic was just a kid in her eyes most likely.
"This was nice, but I have to go..." not really. He had nothing else to do today, he just wanted to get the heck out of there. He got up from the couch and headed towards the door. "By the way..." he said turning back to look at her. "Thanks for the talk."
“Your welcome.” Alexandra simply said as her eyes followed Dominic’s moving frame out of the room. After waiting for him to leave the room, her eyes shifted to the couch and banged her head against it. “God, that was embarrassing.” she muttered under her breath, eyes closing as she let her head rest against the soft fabric for a few more seconds.
Bright blue eyes opened again and Alexandra went back to the sitting position she had before. Her eyes trailed to the window as she watched the sun going down behind the horizon line. Shaking her head slightly, not really believing that she talked about sex with a 16 year old, she got up with the intention to go back to her room and sleep till the sun came out again.
