The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Alexandra paced slowly down the hallways of the Mansion, camera in hand, already filming, headphones in place and singing along with her ipod. "I’m taking it slow Feeding my flame Shuffling the cards of your game And just in time In the right place Suddenly I will play my ace" She smiled as some of the students were looking with interest at her and then quickly began to act goofy as soon as they saw the camera in her hand. Others just smiled then turned around shyly. Now mumbling the rest of the lyrics of Blue Foundation’s Eyes on Fire she stopped at the top of the stairs, filming for a few moments the motion going on in the foyer. Some of them noticed her. Some of them didn’t. After getting bored, she began to descend the stairs, heading to the living room, still humming the song. She was surprised to find Sam there alone, watching tv in what it seemed to be a bored manner. She grinned as she zoomed in on his face then back to normal. She removed her headphones as she paced forward in the room then crashed on the arm of the couch, still filming Sam. “Heya Sammy!” she said cheerfully, waiting for him to look at her, or better said to the camera. “Smile!”

Watching the news was something he normally didn’t do but as of late he noticed more and more small bits of information on the mysterious crime fighter ‘Jack Frost’ he didn’t really like being in the paper but it fed his ego which he needed on occasion mainly he would just read the paper and make small comments on the articles saying things like ‘That’s not what happened’ or ’guy had a gun to his head what was I supposed to do?’ He didn’t start watching the news till he saw a blurry photo of one of his ice minions that turned up after him and the SWAT member took care of those armed guards.
Sighing he laid back in the chair glad that nothing else had surfaced information wise about who he was and where he lived, last thing he wanted was negative attention to the mansion. Turning off the television he laid back and was caught off guard by a smiling Alexandra, “Sammy?” Sam asked, he was never a big fan of that nickname that and Samuel.
Looking at her then the camera Sam grinned and asked, “What’s with the camera?” he stood up and walked closer to her and put his eye right up to the lens then backed up and asked, “You filming for school or something?” he didn’t know what it was for but it was a conversation never the less.
Alexandra just laughed at Sam's reaction. She winked at him as soon as she could stop laughing then decided to take a seat on the couch, legs crossed like in some strange yoga position. She paused the camera and faced Sam. "Well, you call me Al all the time so I've decided to call you Sammy." she said sticking her tongue out at him, all childish like. Geez, this didn't feel like her. But, oh well, it got easier to pretend with every day that passed. "So I guess you gonna have to get used with it." She stretched her arms, carefully putting the camera aside, as she continued. "As for the camera, I'm doing a documentary." she put her hands in her lap, pausing for few seconds "About mutants." She shifted her position, an elbow resting against her leg, and head leaning against one of her arms. "What about you, Sammy? You don't look like this is one of your best days."

Never had he enjoyed being called Sammy, out of everyone in his life he only didn’t mind one person calling him Sammy, this person however died a year and a half after Sam met him. That was the sucky thing with his childhood friends didn’t last long in the line of work he was once in, accidents, missions, nowhere was safe for them.
Shaking his head and getting out of his head and past memories. He caught the wink and grinned slightly trying not to give a big reaction, he was still dating Leila after all, and he wasn’t about to put himself in another situation where it ended badly for him, even if that bad situation involved Alexandra. If it weren’t for Leila he would have jumped on the opportunity to ask her out on a date a while ago.
He grinned at the mention of his nickname for her, “Here I thought you liked me calling you Al, but if you prefer I can call you Alexandra.” He was bluffing of course there was no way he would have stopped calling her Al. sighing and shrugging Sam said, “Guess I am going to have to used to it…”
Grinning at Al he said, “What about mutants, how cool we are?” as he said this his body iced up a little for a pun. The ice faded away as he asked her, but really what’s it about?” he had no idea why someone would make a documentary about mutants, documentaries were supposed to be boring and on the history channel or the Animal planet, “you have a deal with Animal planet or something?” Sam asked jokingly.
It took Sam a second to realize what she was asking then he touched his face and said, “Me?” shrugging he smiled, “Long night,” he paused then waved his hand and smiled, “Long story” he paused then looked back to Alexandra, “What about you? How are you doing today?”
Sadness crossed Sam's face as he seemed to remember something at hearing the nickname Sammy. Alexandra mentally shrugged. The past was meant to be forgotten. At least for her. “Here I thought you liked me calling you Al, but if you prefer I can call you Alexandra. “Guess I am going to have to used to it…” he said grinning at her. Alexandra just sighed, defeated. "Al is good, if you like it." she said biting her lower lip." At least you didn't call me Lexie. " she added, her lips pouting at remembering that nickname. Friends back home used to call her like that. And every time she heard it, she had this slight impression that they were waiting for her to bark and roll over. “What about mutants, how cool we are?” Sam continued, asking about her documentary while his body was covered by a thin layer of ice that faded away as soon as it appeared. She laughed at his Animal Planet reference. She felt way too lazy to explain Sam whole the story about her documentary and instead she sticked with the short one. "Basically, it's a documentary to show people that we're not bad. Yeah, we have special powers but we use them for good, and, oh well, we do human things too." She wasn't sure what Sam would understand from that but she left him to his own conclusions. As he remembered to answer her question, invoking the long night, Alexandra couldn't help but agree with him. She had to snuck out the last night to go and see her sister and spent almost all the time with her. She nodded at Sam, more in acknowledgement to her long night than his, and yawned. "I'm bored." she simply replied. "I can't find anything interesting to do and I've run out of ideas for my documentary, too." she said in a false desperate/disappointed tone. She sighed dramatically and looked hopefully at Sam. "You know something interesting to do around here?"

Kasumi could not sleep that night she lets out a grone as she gets up out of her bed. Soon she slips on a green silk robe with a gold dragon on the back. She ties the sash as she soon walks out of her room closing the door behind her. Her bear feet makes no sound on the floor that is under her. She rolls her shoulders as she wonders anyone is up. She is not sure what time it is. Kasumi soon shakes her head she does not care she can always find something to do on her own.
Soon she stops hearing people talk it is the voice of Sam and Alexandra. Kasumi shrugs her shoulders and thinks what the hell maybe make new friends this night. She soon wonders into the room were the other two is at. She looks at them with her eyes. Soon Kasumi has no idea what to say as she stands there some what a deer in the head light look.
Soon Kasumi gets out "Hello I am Kasumi." she soon bows her head as a strand of her hair falls over her cheek. She knows this is not Japan but her father kind of had her do the bow all of her life so it was a rather hard habit to brake. Soon she stands back up as she smiles to Sam and Alexandra. She is happy right now that her spots can not be seen for the sleeves of her robe is long to her wrists but they are belled out so if she lifts her hands up her spots can be seen. Yet with others like her she does not mind showing them off.

“Long night…” Shin yawned, stretching out in the kitchen. A cutting board lay out in front of the Asian, with two slices of bread, a jar of mayo, some sandwich pickles, a sliced tomato, ham, and mustard. Picking up the butter knife and dipping it in the mayo, he spread the sauce on the sandwich. Scooping all the ingredients together on a paper plate and snagging a napkin, Shin walked out the door. All night long, he couldn’t get his mind to rest. Try as he might, he couldn’t sleep. The plan quickly changed from racing the clock to see whose batteries ran out first, to making a late night snack and watching Animal Planet on the television in the lounge area. Taking a bite, he stepped into the lounge, stopping in the doorway. Red hair and a golden dragon greeted him in the room.
“Seems some other people can’t get to sleep tonight either… sup, Kasumi, Sam, Alex…” Steering himself around Kasumi, he plopped down on an armchair next to the couch. Shin shot Kasumi a smile. “I was just going to watch Animal Planet and eat my sandwich here. Hope nobody minds.”
The television flicked on with a press of the remote, revealing a poison dart frog leaping from the side of the tree onto a leaf by a small pond. It croaked happily where it stood. Shin glanced back at Kasumi, pointing to the screen with a childish smirk.

Leila was cheerfully walking the halls of the Mansion, trying desperately to find something to calm her boredom. She'd eaten dinner a long while ago, she'd gone for a WereDolphin swim earlier that evening... and she'd visited the Sanctuary all morning... but even the sanctuary wasn't as appealing tonight. Where was Sam when she needed him? She turned the corner, passing the Danger Room. Practicing her abilities... could be something useful... She quickly shifted in her WereDolphin form, turning back on her heels. After nearly a month, she still wasn't all that used to being able to shift into a half-dolphin half-human. Plus, she wasn't at all used to shifting at will.
Half an hour later, the danger room had gotten boring too. She climbed up the stairs leading to the main floor, and, her tail flicking exitedly as she heard voices from a few rooms away, the WereDolphin rushed towards the doorway of the Living Room. She didn't realize that maybe the Mutants in the room had never seen her WereDolphin shape before, as far as she knew... Only Sam, Aura, Giant's Bane, Arielle and Calley had seen her transformation. She didn't care. She walked straight in, waving. "Hey guys, whatcha up too?" her smile was genuine as she scanned the faces in this room. Only two of them she reconized. Shin and Sam. It was getting rather late though, what were they all doing here? She plopped herself on the arm rest of the nearest chair, yawning slightly.
Then she saw the camera, and her eyebrow raised, a questioning look on her face. "What's that fort?" she asked, "If we're doing a movie, why didn't I get a script?"

Smiling to Alexandra Sam said, “That is truly a noble cause the world does seem to have a rather bad impression of us.” Looking from the camera back to Alex’s eyes with a big smile on his face Sam said, “there is always something to do here, meeting new people, running barefoot in the snow, Danger room… the list goes on and on,” pausing and getting a sly grin on his face, “Didn’t you hear all this when you first came here? Think I might need to fire those guys that showed you around if they didn’t tell you all the cool stuff the mansion has to offer.”
About to continue Sam paused and looked to the new girl that entered the room, noticing the bow Sam turned to her and bowed back trying to make her feel welcome as possible, “Hey Kasumi, My name is Sam and that,” Sam raised his hand to Al and said, “is Alexandra.” He smiled to Kasumi and said, “You must be knew to the mansion, haven’t seen you around here before.”
“Certainly more and more people coming in here aren’t there?” Sam asked as he waved to Shin and then waving to Leila who was in her weredolphn form. “What are you guys doing up so late?” Sam asked everyone who just arrived in the room, even though he had little room to talk.
A moment ago she was alone with Sam and now an abundance of people just entered the living room, not even giving her enough time to greet any of them. Shin was the only one she knew. The first girl that entered the room introduced herself as Kasumi. Alexandra kept a polite smile and waved as Sam introduced her. It seemed that she wasn't the only one with insomnia. She wondered if this would be a good time to apply her truth or dare plan. Mutants: check. Camera: check. Now, what else she would need more? "Well guys, if everyone lacks the will to sleep right now, what do you think about a game?" she asked, a grin on her face as her hand automatically reached the camera.

Kasumi smiles as she nods then she looks at Shin as she shakes her head. She knows that is all fun with him. Soon Kasumi sits on the arm of the chair that Shin is sitting in as she crosses her slider legs. Kasumi shakes her head "I have no idea. I have not played alot games in my life."
Kasumi looks at Shin as she smiles "You know I am not frogs I do not eat bugs." She makes a face as she smiles again. Soon she pokes Shin in the side softly "Can't sleep like the rest of us?" Kasumi is happy that Shin is with her if not she would feel alone and out of palce.

"A game, huh?" Was she thinking what he thought she was thinking. She'd mentioned truth or dare the last time they'd talked, and looking at the set up right here... perfect situation. He set his sandwich on the table in front of him as Kasumi plopped down on the arm of the chair, and laughed when she commented on the 'bug-eating' thing. Cute. She was teasing him. He'd tease her right back.
"The thought never even crossed my mind... although, there's nothing wrong with eating bugs, Kasumi." He adopted a jokingly-serious face, holding up one finger to pontificate. "Why, some cultures get the protein they need from insects, and in some countries, chocolate covered grasshoppers are a delicacy. In fact..." He looked her in the eye with a smirk. "The thought keeps me up at night, which is why I couldn't sleep..." Hold it. Hold that serious look for five more seconds. Got iiiiiit... daw. The serious look slipped off into a grin.
"Actually, that isn't the reason. I'm not sure why I'm up this late, but it's nice having company for it." He glanced at Alexandra, adding with a laugh. "Are you thinking what I think you're thinking?" He looked to Sam, clearing it up with another addition. "Truth or dare?"
