The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Things were getting very active around here. He was having less and less time to just chill out and train or sleep. Sleep was getting rarer and rarer these days also. He been spending more time in the Danger Room also. More and more people were wanting training and he wasn't going to turn them away. Everyone needed to train with their powers every once in a while. Even he had tried to find time to get in some powers training. Anyways the whole reason he was there, sitting in the Danger Room control room was because there were a few people who wanted to all train together. Mainly he was here for supervision to make sure that no one got seriously injured. Injuries weren't a bad thing because you learned what not to do again so that you don't get hurt again. But the more injuries could be avoided the better.
Oddly enough most of the people coming to this training session were people that he didn't know very well. He knew Shin well enough but Dominic was practically new to him and he didn't know the other person that they said they were bringing at all. Streak was busy setting up the first simulation. He was going to probably sit back for the most part and let them fight it out but every now and then he'd jump in and fight a little bit. Just for some practice. Of course there was always the possibility of getting very involved in the fighting and he wouldn't want to leave the simulations. Streak wasn't going to control all the simulations. On the contrary. Streak was going to let them basically choose what they wanted to do for most of the time. However, the silver man was going to start them off with a fun and relatively easy one. Streak flipped buttons and turned knobs this way and that. It was coming alive on the small screen that was displayed before him. Finally he had everything ready for the first simulation. All he needed now were the people that were going to be participating in it. Streak sat back in the chair and waited for the victims...I mean fellow training enthusiasts to arrive.
Alright so it had been nearly 3 months since Dominic had arrived at the institute and it's been...interesting. He can definitely say that coming here had changed his life for the better...uh, that is when he wasn't being hounded by Sam, or making a doof out of himself. Other than that, everything had been great! He had a nice home, food, his brother and other mansion residents he had befriended since he arrived. However, there was another reason why he had come to this place besides Sam. His mutant abilities needed to be controlled. Although he had somewhat decent control over them, he still had his slips...like the other day when he got the urge to chew up and shred one of Sam's shirts, but thank god he managed to put the blame on Bruno, Sam's St Bernard. The dog could get away with it, but is Sam knew that Dom was the one who really did it, well....it wouldn't be a happy scene to think about.
Not only did he want to get more control but he wanted to get stronger as well. Luckily there was a certain room he had been referred to visit just to do that. He was kinda freaked when they called it the Danger Room. He just wanted to train, not get in any danger, but whatever. At least he knew he wouldn't be alone and that he'd have others to share the experience with.
Clothed in a baby blue tank top, a pair of black basket ball shorts and a pair of white and blue sneakers, the blonde teenage took a deep breath as he entered the Danger Room. "Nice..." he smiled looking around, and he noticed someone else was already in there, Streak. Apparently he was going to be the one over looking their session...probably for the best because had it been Sam, he knew that his older sibling would purposely set up the training to kill him. Maybe not intentionally, but he knew it'd be tough as hell. Hopefully Streak won't be as rough. Hopefully.
"Sup Shawn," he waved to the silver eyes mutant as she continued staring around and waited for his training partners to arrive.
Alexandra Kettles has been up before the alarm clock on her night stand even had a chance to ring. This particular night was one of those restless nights. She had barely gotten a few hours of sleep and those have been continuously interrupted by waking up and starring at the ceiling periods of time. What was on her mind? It seemed that her thoughts were under a constant jump from a certain X-Man and her mission inside the mansion. How exactly would her feelings would affect her job here, a job that she had been neglecting in the last week or so, was the main concern inside her troubled mind.
The molecule manipulator slid off from the bed with a frown and letting out a small yawn she made her way into the shower to cool off and focus on something else than her emotions. Today, was, it seemed, a step further into her way inside the mansion. Filming around the mansion had been satisfactory, of course, but it was time to get things rolling. To be precise, rumors of X-Men Trainees try outs have been running around the mansion for some time and this was one particular rumor she was interested in. But to do that, she first needed to prove herself worthy and what better way of doing so than a training session with an X-Man. No, not that X-Man, she wasn’t certain if she wouldn’t loose her head and get herself being defeated if he was involved. This time, it was the mutant known as Silver Streak. She wasn’t very well acquainted with him, well, of course, minus the part of knowing that he also was called: Streaky-boo.
The corners of her lips turned up to form a smile as she got out of the shower and headed to her dresser, wrapped up in a towel. Picking up her uniform, she smiled a bit at it. She wasn’t sure if the top would be exactly suited as an uniform but then again, it wasn’t the important matter at the time. After dressing herself and getting her hair dried and fixed, she left her room without hurry, first stopping by the kitchen to grab a snack before going to the Danger Room.
Munching on the half of an apple, she entered the Danger Room. It seemed she wasn’t the only one up early, for Streak and Dom were already there chatting. Swallowing the last bit of apple, she stopped next to Dom and Streak with a smile. “Hey there Dom.” she said in a bright tone, meanwhile wondering what he would do now to get himself unto trouble as it seemed to turn out a habit for him. Turning to Streak, her smile turned into a grin. “And you must be Streaky-boo.” she said, unable to resist the urge of calling him that.

Another fine day at the mansion had begun with a morning walk for Thor and a pile of flapjacks for Shin. The night before, he'd bothered to buy a cookbook from Full Circle. This morning was his first chance trying it out. He'd stood over the stove top, brow furrowed in concentration. The book balanced in one hand, a stirring spoon in the other, and he looked frantically between the bowl he was stirring and the step he was to do. Add a few eggs? He'd done that. Flour? That too. But what next... oh right. The thing he forgot. He gruffly snapped the cookbook shut.
"Oh, if only I could turn back time." He massaged his temples, unknowingly drawing little flour circles on his cheeks. "Maybe next time I'll get it right... although, perhaps if I add the ingredient now and do a few steps out of order...?"
It was a bad idea from the get-go, and he knew it. The flapjacks had turned out soggy, and at the same time, incredibly elastic. They bounced around in his stomach as he walked into the danger room, dressed in the black pants he used for training, and a faint gray shirt. He looked around at the people in the room, and swatted a stray streak of flour off his cheek like it was a fly.
"How are we this morning? I hope no one else is feeling particularly... rubbery... today." He gulped and bit back a grimace at the memory of failed breakfast. "I think something I ate was really the Fusionist in disguise, and now he's wriggling around in my stomach, ready to burst chests... oh god." He covered his mouth and ran for the latrine.
A few minutes later, Shin staggered back into the danger room, clutching at the edge of the door. "Reminder to self. Learn. To. Cook. I'll have to get the recipe from you some time, Alex... the pancakes I built today. You wouldn't wish on the Devil himself... oh, hey Streak."

Streak was putting the finishing touches on the simulation that he'd had planned for them when Dominic walked in. He wasn't to familiar with him, except for once in his office when he was talking with Zahira. "Hey Dom glad to see yer here. From what I've seen you could use the practice." Streak said joking with him. There wasn't much time for them to discuss much when a girl he'd seen at the pool party showed up. He hadn't expected her to wear anything like that but it was a refreshing change from what Dominic was wearing and what he was used to with any of the other girl that had been here. "Ya I'm Streak." He said intentionally leaving the 'boo' part off it. He secretly hoped that that didn't become part of his nickname. "And you are?" Streak said fishing for a name.
Shin came in next and Streak had to admit that he wasn't looking very good. "Hey Shin ya alright man?" He asked. "Are you able to train?" He definitely didn't want Shin feeling sick and pushing himself to far with this. His next question was to everyone. "So how hard do yall want to start? I figure we'd start easy and work our way up to really hard depending on what yall want to work on today. Which leads me to my next question... What do yall want to work on?" He'd seen what Shin could do and he thought that Shin should work on stealth and battling with his shards. As for Dom and the girl...he'd never seen use their powers before so it should be interesting.
Dominic stood arms folded waiting for his training partners to arrive. His jaw dropped almost instantly when he saw her outfit. Sure...he had seen her in a bikini a few times...he had seen her topless, but he never quite got used to seeing her in revealing attire. She was just so stunning...and he had absolutely no chance with her. Not as long as Sam was alive...no, killing big brother for a girl is a no no. Especially when your big brother has the ability to turn you into a human ice cube. Rubbing his blonde head, he returned her greeting with the wave of his other hand and also gave a wave to Shin who was talking about his lackluster cooking skills.
"Well, if you want Shin, I can always give you cooking pointers. My foster mother introduced me to it and I kinda experimented a lot in the kitchen, so I know some stuff." he said. Turning his attention back to Streak, Dom pondered on the silver eyed mutant's question. Well the answer for the first question wasn't that difficult. It was always best to start easy and work your way up. As for what he wanted to work on, he didn't really have a specific idea. He just wanted a work out.
"I think we can start easy....and I'm game for whatever you guys want to work on. I don't have anything particular in mind at the moment."
There wasn’t much time to answer the two boys that already were in the Danger Room as Shin walked in, not looking very healthy. Her mouth opened to speak but before she could ask if Shin was ok he was already rushing to fulfill the request of an unsatisfied stomach. Shaking her head slightly as he got back and asked for the pancake recipe.
“Sure Shin. You know, we could all go and make some lunch after the training.” She gave a half smile as she turned back to Streak.”If we live trough. And I’m Alexandra Kettler. Nice to meet you… Streaky.” she spoke, extending her hand to Streak.
After finishing with the introductions, she placed a hand on her hip and shifted her weight on one foot as she put on a thoughtful look. So what exactly could she train for? As far as she was concerned, there were few the materials she couldn’t manipulate and since the danger room was made from metal and she had already tested that she could manipulate it with no problems… sure, as long as it wasn’t set to protect her.
“Well, I’d say I want to test my reaction speed.” she finally said after she ran the details of her powers trough her mind. She had tested her reaction speed a few times before but practice made everything perfect, or so it was said.

“Yeah…” Shin wiped at his mouth and stumbled towards the group. “I’m fine, Streak. I should be able to tough it out. I’ve handled worse… then again, this may be one of your training simulations.” A smirk slipped onto his face. He turned to aim the smirk Dominic’s way for the follow-up. “And thanks, pal. I’d appreciate that. I just don’t seem to have any luck with pancakes these days…”
He made his way to the center of the group with heavy footsteps, as if every step counted down the ticker to the grave. Like a shambling corpse, he staggered. He nodded at Alexandra when she mentioned training her reactions. "I've got to train some things too. Stealth, mainly."

Streak was glad that they were able to answer his question. He shook Alexandra's hand, "Nice to meet you Alexandra." After he shook her hand he turned back to controls. There were a few adjustments that he'd need to make before they could start. "Just give me a sec and we can start. You should live. I'm sure no one here will let ya die. Maybe a few bruises but hey that's part of the fun." Streak said smiling. After flipping a few more switches and dialing some other things in he said, "Ok we're all ready to go. So yall can make yall's way down there."
The simulation was similar to that which Streak had used for Shin. "Look familiar Shin?" He said as a forest popped up where the metal Danger Room used to be. "There's a little twist to it this time. There's more orbs than when I put ya through it last time. There's no other bots other than the orbs and none of them are trying to kill you. All they want to do is find you. If they find ya, that's when your reflexes come in. They wont stop chasing you until they give ya a small jolt of electricity. Nothing dangerous just a little 'caught ya sucker' jolt as they fly by ya." Streak explained to them. "It should be fun, then we'll get harder later on. consider this a warm up. Oh ya, one last thing. Yall can destroy them." He hoped he didn't miss anything but if he did they'd figure it out while the simulation was going on.
"So.." Dominic began to make sure he had heard everything clearly. "You're telling me, that we have to sneak around and avoid getting shocked ny those little things? Well, that seems easy enough I guess. Though, I'm not to thrilled about the shocking part... he sighed rubbing his blond head.
There always had to be a catch some how. On the other hand, smashing the little buggers after getting zapped, now that seemed like hella fun. He was kind of worried about how well he'd do in this course compared to the others. He didn't exactly have awesome glass shards to attack with, nor could he manipulate molecules. All he had was the abilities of the animals he acquired so far. A dog, a cat, a squirrel and a jumping spider. Not the most impressive list of animals, but he'd just have to make do.
"Alright, I guess it's now or never. ready when you guys are.."
Orbs and robots? Heh. Alexandra sighed quite happy at the idea of finally being able to break something. After months of restraints this training session would not only help her with perfecting her mutation but also vent out some stress and emotions. Watching with interest as the Danger Room buzzed to life, soon the boring greyish room being replaced by another scenario.
Taking a small step forward while her blue eyes turned more intense with each second that passed, she gave a small shrug as she watched her training partners with the corner of her eyes. "I'm good to go boys."

"Huh? They aren't out to -hic-... kill us this time? Well, that's a let-down." Shin covered his mouth with the back of his hand and took a step forward into the forest. The familiar sounds came to his ears. The danger room was at it again with the high quality illusions, it seemed. He turned to smile at Streak. He blinked. Yeah. So this was all about stealth. "And stealth? No forest-tipping from me this time, I suppose... Should be fun, though! Hit them before they hit us. Bring on the ... tiny little jolt-zapping inconvenient little happy non-death orbs... I guess."
Yeah.
He raised his right hand up to chest level, forming a claw. His eyes snuck shut in concentration as a set of nine yellow shards formed three larger triangles, which in turn made up the body of a very large equilateral about two feet tall. It hovered in the air above them, reflecting the forest lightly as it turned. A 3 inch tall cube of shards formed in his left hand, ready for action.

“Ok if everyone’s ready to go then we can start.” He hit the start button on the control panel and watched his creation come to life. Whoever said that playing God was unnatural just needs to go into a simulation room. The wind started to come to life. It was a ‘windy’ day in the Danger Room’s forest. The trees were swaying and the wind had to have been going at least twenty miles an hour. The wind would add a level of difficulty because the orbs would be going a lot faster than normal. Even the birds were having trouble flying around the forest from the winds. Streak took his time walking down the steps to join them. He wasn’t planning on doing much but he definitely would be having some fun with them. Mostly Streak was there to watch them and make sure no one got hurt. But fun was usually required whenever he was working in the Danger Room. "So have fun guys."
The simulation had begun and Dominic stared in awe at the room's transformation into a forest. Really, a forest? This...was the perfect environment for him to train in when he considered his abilities. To be bale to hop from tree to tree and move freely like a true animal. Just one thing...the wind was kind of blowing strong. Even the birds had difficulty maneuvering through the sky. Dominic shrugged and leaping over to one of the trees and climbing up. Once far enough, he perched himself on a branch, bringing a hand above his brows to shield his eyes from the wind while he tried to take a look around at the land scape.
"So uh....where are the bots?" he asked looking down at the others. He got his answer a moment later when he felt a jolt go through his body and found himself falling back onto the ground with a loud thud between Shin and Alex.
Forest was bad. This simulation reminded Alexandra of all those school trips to forests and all kinds of dirty places… sure, she didn’t mind getting dirty to train, but to spend precious days in such a place doing nothing… complete waste of time. Alexandra sighed in remembrance of those days.
It was until Streak added the wind… Windy forest. Bleah. Trees were bending under the might of this simulated wind. A look thrown above the trees and even the simulated birds were having difficulties to fly around. Poor virtual avian creatures.
A few leaves started slapping uncovered areas of her body and Alexandra found herself frowning. Man, one heck of a simulation. Now all it needs is rain. Forcing herself to ignore the stinging those stupid leaves provided, she shifted eyes to the coming Silver Streak then to Shin and Dom, who seemed to be focusing on their abilities. Well, at least Shin seemed to.
Her blue eyes increased in the intensity of color as she focused her mutation on the floor beneath them. Natural landscape was harder to manipulate but since this was a simulation, therefore she was stepping on cold hard metal, it was easier. The earth in front of her rippled as she tested her powers and with a satisfied sigh she watched her surroundings with interest.
Dom seemed to be fine with this environment and had already climbing up a tree, anxious to see all those metal thingies set up against them… Probably until one of them zapped him and seconds later he was resting flat against the ground between her and Shin.
Shaking her head for a moment as she looked at Dom, she shifted her eyes to the tree where Dom had been zapped, searching for the orb thing that did it. The orb wasn’t late to appear, its reflecting surface giving away its location. It seemed that the sphere was aiming again toward them, but with a quick manipulation of molecules and the small device that was doing the shooting was covered by the same metal that was protecting it.
Watching for a few seconds how the orb buzzed around until it hit a tree and fell to the ground giving its final electric breath, Alexandra turned her eyes back to Dom. “Dom, we need to stick into formation and watch each others back.” Although she had addressed only Dom, her eyes moved to Shin to look for approval. She gave a look to Streak, unsure if he was going to be fighting by their side or just be their supervisor.
Another orb decided to appear, just behind Shin, ready to zap any of them. This time, Alexandra ripped a part of the floor apart and shot it upwards, engulfing the orb. For their eyes, it seemed like a chunk of mud was forced upwards. Watching as the new orb had the same fate as the first, she turned shifted her eyes back to her teammates, unaware that behind her, another two orbs were levitating toward them.
