The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

History Of Your Character
Bentley Mae Lewis was the second child of Peggy and Don Lewis of a small, friendly town in Georgia. Her father worked as a mechanic for the only garage in the town. Her mother was a school teacher at the elementary school. Bentley’s older brother, Markus, and she were very close. They shared secrets with one another. Bentley Mae was the first to know that Markus had finally kissed Mary Lou down at the grocery, before any of his guy friends even. It was when Bentley was six years old that they discovered her talent for dance. She had begged to be put in tap lessons. After three months of continuous pleading, Don finally caved and saved up the entry fee and the cost of tap shoes. After the first week of lessons, Bentley’s instructor called a meeting with the young girl’s parents. They were both pleasantly shocked to hear of Bentley’s gift. Peggy and Don were so proud that they worked hard to keep her in dance lessons. She began ballet at the age of seven and excelled at it. Her love only grew as she continued on. Markus was a whole seven years older than Bentley not that either minded the age gap, if anything it only made their friendship stronger. Markus was Bentley’s hero; he was the person she looked up to. She wanted to be as confident and caring and strong as he was when she grew up. It was extremely devastating when Markus didn’t return home from a friend’s house one night. Marty Dorval, the sheriff, arrived at the Lewis home to give the news of Markus’ death. The boy died in a horrific car wreck at the young age of seventeen. It was, of course, hard for the family to move on. Peggy Lewis was unable to cope with her loss and took her own life on the second anniversary of her son’s death. It was just Bentley and her father from then on. Julliard became interested in Bentley in her junior year of high school. Don was nervous about his daughter going off so far for school. However, he understood how much this meant to Bentley. So, Bentley is on her way to the big city to begin her dreams.
Roleplay Where did you learn about this site?: An ad on xgen. Do you have any other characters on MRO, if so who: no. Sample RP:
Her calf muscles warmed as they stretched out. Bentley enjoyed the feeling and a quiet moan of pleasure escaped her lips as she reached toward her toes. After finishing her cool down stretches, the young woman sat on the wooden floor and began untying the ribbons on her pointe ballet shoes. As Bentley unwrapped the medical tape from her toes Don, her father, stepped inside her improvised practice room. “There’s someone on the phone for you, Mae.” A cheesy grin was spread across her father’s face. His playful mood only made her stomach gurgle.
She hurried to her feet, forgetting to remove the tape from her other foot. Feeling the tape pull at her skin Bentley glanced down and groaned. She hopped toward Don and the door as she yanked the tape loose. Don stepped aside as his daughter rushed past him. Don Lewis followed excitedly behind Bentley and came to a halt as she snatched to cordless phone up from the dining room table. She answered breathlessly, “Hello?” Her father attempted to decipher the girl’s facial expressions. Her eyes cut over to his and she rolled her eyes. Bentley turned on her heel and hurried to her bedroom, Don right behind her. He was anxious to know what the woman with the funny accent was telling his baby girl.
Bentley turned in her doorway and shot an annoyed look at her dad. She shut him off by closing the door. The hot pink lettering that read Bentley swayed on the door. Don reached up to steady it absentmindedly. He sighed; trying to prepare himself to comfort Bentley’s broken heart. He wasn’t sure exactly how he would manage it. He knew she loved ice cream. Maybe he’d take her to the ice cream shop across town. No, no. That won’t do. Worry clouded the old man’s mind as he waited and tried to listen through the white, wooden door.
Suddenly, the door flew open. Don’s mouth hung open in surprise. There were tears in his daughter’s eyes. “Oh, baby. I’m sorry.” His arms opened wide for her to fall into.
Instead a smile tugged at Bentley’s lips. “Sorry for what?” She launched herself into the air and wrapped her father in a tight hug. “I’m going to New York, Daddy!”
Don Lewis held his grown child to him. Relief mixed with fear. He wasn’t sure how well he would do with his baby all the way in New York. He was relieved and happy for her. She could make it. He knew she could. But he was scared as well. New York was a big, scary city; so different from small town, Georgia. A tear fell, warm and wet, down his wrinkled cheeks. “I’m so proud of you, baby.”
