Who let the dogs out? <Gabe's Room>(Shard/Open)

"Yeah, guess so." Shin smiled, slinging his coat over one shoulder and turning to the door. The tour around the mansion had been easy enough to finish with just two people. He'd showed Gabe the pool, the garden, the classrooms, the danger room, and hey, even the library and the kitchen. Finally, they'd stopped at Gabe's assigned room.

"Take it easy. If you want to do a simulation in the danger room with someone some time, give me a call man. I'm sure we can set something cool up. Later." And with that, Shin walked out to leave Gabe in his room all alone. He whistled off down the hall with his hands thrust casually into his pockets. Today was a good day~

It was a weird feeling, waking up from a nap in the middle of the afternoon. It seemed to the thirteen year old like she had been asleep for hours, but her clock told her that it had been closer to one. The sleepy illusionist wandered out her door the the restroom down the hall. She was not one of the fortunate few to have her own bathroom. Maybe in a few years, when she was old enough to live in the adult hallway she'd have her own. Although, by that time she'd be going to college or possibly even living on her own.

On the way back from the bathroom, Katrina heard a scratch on the inside of one of the bedroom doors. It sounded like a dog was trapped inside. Did Bruce accidentally get stuck in someone's bedroom without their noticing?

“Bruce? Is that you?” Katrina whispered quietly to the door, then listened to see if everyone's favorite Rottweiler was actually inside. A moment after her question, there was a small answering whine from the other side of the door. The poor thing was trapped! That was easily fixed, if only someone with opposable thumbs came along and operated doorknobs for those unfortunate animals who did not possess such remarkable digits.

Katrina turned the door handle and one second too late realized her mistake when not one large dog, but four rapidly growing dogs erupted from the doorway, knocking her over in their exuberance and excitement at being free. There were flashes of various browns, blacks, and white furs as four puppies flashed past (and over) her and each ran a different direction.

Katrina stared after them from her seat on the floor, wide eyed with surprise on her face, “Oops.”

A tabby kitten emerged from the door, tail held high with perfect dignity, as she waltzed out of the room after her rambunctious young siblings.

Toothbrush in hand Sam heard small barks as he started to brush his teeth, “Gingivitis is the number one cause of all tooth decay!” Sam said mocking the toothpaste commercials. Looking over to the door Sam saw his small pack of pups and his lone kitten sitting at the door. Looking back to the mirror Sam spit his toothpaste from his mouth and said, “Wait a sec we can go for a walk in a second!” brushing his toothbrush under the water to get the extra toothpaste out of it Sam noticed he heard the door opening and then the barks disappeared. Setting his toothbrush in his cup by the sink Sam tightened the towel around his waist that trailed down to his knees.

Running from his bathroom to his front door Sam spotted a familiar thirteen-year-old blonde who looked like she was just tackled by the pups. “Kat?” Sam asked a little surprised that she just opened the door, “Ahh did the pups get out again?” Sam asked as he looked back to his pillow on his made bed, “CAMMIE?” Sam asked as he looked from her usual spot on his pillow to his windowsill.

Extending his hand down to Kat and then pulling her up right Sam asked, “Was there a small tabby that ran off?” Cammie only got out once and it was difficult to find her, she had a knack for finding the most obscure spots and waiting till dinnertime for the residents just to pig out on what ever was left over.

Knowing his dogs personalities somewhat he knew that Bruno and Mackenzie would stop to play with the first people they saw, both were very friendly and loved attention. Thor and Roxxie on the other hand, they had there own way at looking at everything. They loved attention but preferred to be difficult, mainly running form someone who chases or chasing something that runs.

Looking down one direction of the hall way then the other Sam sighed slightly then in a calm voice he asked, “Which way did they go Kat?”

Gabe jogged after the girl and the St. Bernard pup. When she stopped in front of an open door, and next to Sam standing in a towel, he shook his head, confused.

"Um, I'm Gabe. Your Bernard decided I needed to bathe. I figured I'd try and find out where he belonged. If it's any help, a Shepherd and a tabby kitten went down the hall past my room."

He looked at the girl pulling on the dog's 'leash', and laughed. He grabbed the collar, and pulled the dog into the room. Then he looked at the toweled Sam.

"Dude, I'll help you find your other pets, but you might wanna get dressed before you go running through the mansion to find them."

With headphones on and her ipod's volume set on full blast and her hands folded behind her head, Arielle laid on her bed, bobbing her head to the beat of a couple new Beyonce' songs, freshly downloaded illegally from the internet. Today seemed like it was going to be just another chill day with no excitement whats so ever, which was odd considering the building she lived in were inhabited by gifted people who could break hell loose on the world if they chose to. Her door was cracked only slightly, but it suddenly moved into a more opened position. At least it looked like it moved by itself from Ari's position on her bed.

Investigating further, she looked down and saw the behind of a little husky puppy poking from her opened closet.

"Aurora," she called her husky puppy's name. She removed her headphones and hopped off her bed. She smiled as she neared the pup and remembered when she and Sam first found the litter, though she chose more to focus on the time they've spent here at the mansion whether than the heartbreak of finding them left for dead in the forest. As she grew closer she heard aggressive growling and the sound of ripping fabric, not to mention the jerks of the puppy's head. Arielle's eyes widened as she saw her favorite silk blouse in the jaws of the little beast.

It was a good thing Arielle never developed a sonic scream or Canary cry ability because the shriek of shock from her mouth could be heard from outside the mansion.

"Bad dog! Bad dog Aurora!" she said grabbing on to the Husky pup and raising her to her eye level. At least...Arielle thought it was a her. She noticed the puppy's face was slightly different from Aurora's and upon looking down, Arielle found a little something extra that females lack in their anatomy.

"Thor!!!" Arielle shouted with a scowl on her face. This husky didn't belong to her, it was Sam's. She should have known because Aurora usually behaved herself. Thor was just a little monster at times and the evidence of it was a piece of her yellow blouse still trapped by his jaws. A moment later, Arielle felt something warm and wet on white tank top.

"AHHHHHHH!!!" she screamed again seeing Thor's urine hit her abdomen. She immediately placed the pup down and looked at the yellow stain with horror. Thor let out a playful bark and another one causing Arielle's Husky, Aurora and her Shiba Inu, Belle to scurry from under the Brazilian's bed where they had apparently been resting. One last bark from Thor and the male husky dashed from Ari's room, followed by Aurora and Belle who decided they wanted in on the canine break out.

"Belle! Aurora!" Arielle called, but the puppies had disappeared down the hall with Thor.

"Meow...." a tabby cat meowed at Arielle walking past her room as well.

"Cammie?! Arielle reached to catch the cat, but it dashed off in the direction Thor and her pups had taken off. "Great..." Arielle let out an aggravated sigh and ran off down the hall in search of the pets.

Gabe watched as Katrina and Sam took off after the Shepherd pup, not at all amused by the fact the Sam froze his towel to his waist. Gabe shook his head. Going after your pups was one thing, but you should at least do it fully clothed. Gabe jogged down the hall, and saw two huskie pups and a shinu ibu pup run off down the hall followed by a South American woman. Gabe shook his head, and turned around. He was just about to follow the 'parade' when he heard another bark. He looked down the hall, and saw a golden tail wagging at almost warp speed. He jogged down the hall, and sure enough, there was a golden retriever pup digging into a potted plant.

"Hey you! Are you one of the missing pups?"

The dog turned and faced at him, dirt on her paws and nose. She wagged her tail as her tongue lolled out of the left side of her mouth. He walked up to him, and nuzzled his leg. Dirt turned into mud by dog snot was stuck to his jeans now. He definitely needed to buy more clothes. Gabe reached down to pet the dog, but she bolted out of his grasp, heading the opposite direction of the other dogs. Gabe took off at a run, following her as best he could.

"Why couldn't I be some type of mutant tracker or something?"

((OOC: If you've ever read Twilight, and seen the movie, you'll get the joke.))

"What he said," Arielle spoke to Katrina jerking a thumb at Sam as he ran pass them in his towel. "I got two puppies. A female husky and shiba inu. And apparently Sam's husky is a bad influence on them! They never act this way! And he pissed on my shirt!" Arielle sighed frustratedly and followed Sam on the chase. Though she halted at the top of the stairs glancing down at the view below of Sam's behind.

"And so, the day has not been completely ruined. There is a god in heaven. Glory be his name for crafting one of the finest asses I have ever seen. Thank you Jesus!" she said waving a hand in the sky as if she was in church worshiping even though ironically the comment she just made was littered with sinful thoughts. Skittering down the steps she stopped beside the ice elemental with a wide grin.

"So if your done flashing your posterior, we've got a couple of puppies to catch! By the way, you better thank Thor later because you owe me a new blouse now!" she said jetting off after the puppies and their feline companion.
