The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Fade's idea about the extreme sports class had actually had her mind thinking. After talking with Silver Streak, she decided to take the next step. The Mansion had always been her home, even while she was away for the long year, the Mansion had always been her beacon of hope and she wanted to return the favor. She had devised a few ideas to present to the school, she needed to become more active in the team and she hoped they would allow her back. No matter, she had these ideas and she wanted to share them.
The War Room was always for discussion, but it was more for War, hence the name, duh. However, this time, she had asked Cold Steel to meet her there so she could discuss her plans. Her red hair was loose and hanging limply off her shoulders and she was just in her socks, she hardly ever wore shoes around the Mansion. Although her raptor-like claws were sticking out of the toes of her socks, it looked funny. The light tapping sound that occurred when she'd pace around the room was the only thing to keep her company as she waited to present her ideas.

As he approached the war room with a few things on his mind one of them being why did they have to have a discussion in the war room? Granted there wasn’t a war in this discussion and he never actually thought as the war room as a room strictly for discussing war, it was more about a meeting room than everything. If it was in his power to change the name of the war room he wouldn’t most likely, it rolled off the tongue more than a simple ‘meeting’ room.
As he entered the room of war he inhaled and held a glass full of ice water to his mouth and took a quick sip. Fade or Jenny as her files indicated had called the meeting mentioning she wanted to get more involved and seeing as she called him, Sam was almost sure she wanted back on the X-team. Reading a few files from the war room Sam was made aware of the previous team members and wasn’t really surprised to see Fade on the list.
Taking a sip of his glass of water Sam walked towards the red headed woman with his casual clothing and usual posture. Yawning slightly due to the large amount of paper work, Sam brushed his hands on his jeans as his sandals made a small flip-flop sound. Lowering his glass of water to his side Sam extended his right hand to the woman as he smiled to her, “Hello Jenny,” code names in his opinion were so impersonal they were after all going to be teammates if he suspected the reason of this meeting, “If you prefer Fade let me know, I prefer to use my teammates and friends names instead of the code names, to impersonal, so if you would call me Sam.”
Smiling at her and looking up to the setting his water on the table in the center of the room Sam pointed to the nearest chairs that sat opposite from each other, “Have a seat and let’s start this little meeting shall we?” he asked as he set his glass of water down and sat in a large and rather comfortable chair.
At first, she heard a friendly hello followed by something she had not heard in years: Jenny. Nobody ever called her Jenny and the sound of it sounded unfamiliar as well. Ever since she had run away from her foster family, she had gone by the name Fade out on the streets. Honestly, if the police weren't able to pull up information on her when she was caught shoplifting years ago, she would have never remembered what her name was. It was a nice reminder that she needed to make sure she would never forget where she came from.
"Um, alright, yeah, that sounds fine," she scratched the back of her neck lightly, that way she wouldn't draw blood, but she was still playing the name over in her mind. Jenny, Jenny, Jenny, still did not feel the same as Fade, but she understood. "So then, Sam, I've talked to a few people and I guess everything's alright, but I'd like to get official word. Can I rejoin the team?"
Quite honestly, she never thought she would see the day when she would be asking new X-Men if she could return. Cassiel, Daria, Tricity, Orion, Emerald, Deathstar, Raph and Fade used to make up the X-Men and since now only Tricity, Emerald, and Deathstar remained, she had to make her way back up again. "I mean, I was here a year ago and I apologize for my absence, don't worry, nothing harmful. I know I probably won't be able to just jump right in, but I've got an idea that I spoke with Silver Streak about," she paused. What was Streak's real name? She had forgotten, it seemed she just referred to everyone as their codename, but not everyone had negative memories attached to their name.
"I was thinking a new class, kind of an extreme sports kind of class," she said, sitting down and rubbing her hands together. All of her ideas were flooding around in her mind but she did not know how on Earth she was going to string them together to form any sense. Best to save that for later, for now, she needed to make sure she could be back on the team.
In the door way stood the pure white furred cat girl. Having padded feet helped silence Nika's arrival. It allowed her to catch part of what Sam said and all of Jenny's response. She had caught wind of the little meeting and the idea of extreme sports caught her interest. Nika moved to an open chair and sat down.

The initial shock he got from Fade or Jenny said a lot, for one she wasn’t used to be calling Jenny, and two… well one was enough to justify the shock in his opinion. Code names were for meetings and missions in the mansion however he wanted everyone to be on a name-to-name basis with everyone instead of a name to codename basis. This unfortunately meant that Sam was going to have to start calling Ghost and Streak by there actually names. Something he had always neglected to do seeing as he was introduced to them using their code names.
Kicking of his sandals as he leaned back into the chair now barefoot Sam lifted one leg and set his ankle on his knee creating a small table so when he sipped his water he could casually hold it on his knee as he stared at Jenny who was obviously approaching the topic of discussion. Lifting the glass to his lips as she asked him about rejoing the X-men and her class idea as he blinked and lowed the glass, as he was about to respond to her, “I think….”
Being cut off was something he had gotten used to at the mansion, lots of people lots of opinions that needed to be voiced, however the opinion from this particular voice caught him unawares seeing as the person to this voice had been missing for some time. “Nika?” he asked curiously as his head turned to open to the entrance of the war room. As she sat Sam continued to watch her as she continued to talk to Jenny if her disappearance was nothing really of importance. He quirked his eyebrow in her direction almost expecting for her to explain her absences but shook the thought from his head as he leaned forward and set the glass of water on the table.
This meeting was about Fade, Fade and Jenny and he had every intention to continue the meeting figuring he could ask Nika about her long disappearance. Turning his attention back to Jenny he nodded and said, “To be honest I had every intention of letting you join up with the team with out much thought but seeing as more and more recruits are entering the small sessions Streak and I hold for them I figured I’d actually have you test with them, seeing as you have experience being on the older team I think you would be a great help to the newer recruits, instead of becoming a trainee like them you’d be bumped back up to full X status…” he smiled slightly and asked directing the question to both Nika and jenny, “Does that sound alright to you?”
After waiting a moment or two he quickly added, “I to am curious about this Extreme Sport Class,” he paused and took a sip of his water and then continued, “Would it be more of a team building type deal or more of a control your self type class?”
The sound of Nika's voice startled Fade. She had not seen that girl in ages, but during her time as an X-Man, Nika was part of the team and it was good to see a familiar face among the ranks. It was not a time for sitting, although Sam was quite welcome to have a seat, Fade was perfectly content standing. "It's good to see you, Nika," she nodded. The two had never really had a chance to get to know each other, but they had met and spoken before. No matter, Nika was a great aid in putting in her two cents, Fade really wanted back on the team.
Apparently, she was pretty much already accepted back in. Quite frankly, she did not think that rejoining was going to be much of a problem, but she did not want to rush things, best that everyone got acquanted to her. "Thank you, and training in the Danger Room is my favorite thing to do, I would be very happy to train with the new recruits," she smiled. She'd done it before, quite a time ago and she had been in charge of setting it up and choosing who was admitted into the X-Men and who was not. It was a tough task, but Neena, Tricity and Deathstar were all helping her in her decision. Honestly, she had not felt a part of anything except the X-Men, they were her life.
Moving along to the next topic, she readdressed the extreme sport class. "Well, it's kinda weird for me to explain it, but basically, I was thinking that we could have a class that would take the students out to some interesting places. Take for example, free diving, when you dive without a mask. I mean, not only in class would the students be able to see coral reefs underwater and all, but what if they were actually placed in a serious situation, they could use the lesson to help them survive under water until it was safe to resurface. Not saying that we'd put them in that sort of situation, of course. Then other lessons like sky diving, bungee jumping, fun stuff like that that just might help the students out in the future. There would be some teamwork stuff and some individual work. Like white water rafting as team work and bungee jumping as individual," she paused, trying to gather her thoughts. She could not answer all of their questions if she did not give them any time to ask them, so she ended it and waited for their thoughts.
When she entered the room Sam called out her name in the form of a question. She knew why he said it like he did, but she wasn't going to discuss her absense right now. Fade had a little more to say to the catgirl. It had been a long time since their little meeting in the hallway, but she remembered the girl's face and scent. Nika simply smiled and gave one of her typical cheerful little waves.
It was very pleasing to hear Sam agree to letting Fade back on the X-Men team. Not that Nika thought or knew Sam had any position of importance, but it was still good that everyone agreed to let Fade return. She would be a great teammate.
The topic quickly changed from Nika's surprise entrance to accepting Fade back on the team and ended up with the extreme training. Fade's description of some of the events sounded fun to Nika while others...not so much. She did make a good point in that by doing these events it would also help teach survival tactics or aid in physical performance and stamina.
"Sounds like a blast for the most part. You can count me out of any water sports though."

As Jenny explained her idea for a class more and more it started to sound more and more like an after school club then anything else. Even if it couldn’t get full class approval Sam would be more than willing to try and set it up as a club. ”I like the idea Jenny,” the more he thought about students learning how to scuba dive sky dive and things similar to the like the more he thought of his child hood. ”Frankly I just love the idea of some of the students getting out and seeing the world, I personally would be more than happy to fly the students to their location with the Jet when needed.”
Taking a sip of his water Sam looked to Nika and let out a small chuckle, ”Not a big fan of swimming with the fish?” joked Sam as his eyes darted up to Nika’s cat ears and then he looked back down to her, ”By the way, I think we need to talk after this meeting…” he gave her a reassuring smile letting her know he had no intentions of making it a bad meeting.
Eyes shifting back to the vanishing red head Sam said, ”I’ll bring up the idea at the next staff meeting but, to me it sounds like they would like it more as a club seeing as we would have to find a teacher, and while I wouldn’t mind teaching the extreme class myself, the only problem is the school is more liable if something was to go wrong but as a club, I am almost certain they would be more enthused at the idea of it.” smiling Sam imagining some of the kids faces when mention of the word field trip comes up. Looking between the two he was curious if the main topic for the meeting was at an end so he could discuss the idea with a few of the teachers.
