The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Saturn set in a stone block with Crystal windows, Zelek had made the building for them, He was all too happy to build him, his brothers and their families homes, conveniently circled around his own, But who was he to complain, He had what would be considered a mansion in the after world.
He found it hard to be sad in this new found world of waste and survival. Things were so much simpler and the air, though radio active seemed easier to breath with the majority of the humans dead and gone. Sure there was the occasional one here or there, but what was that to him? they had used up their bombs and slayed their own populations. They no longer survived on crime but on the fact that they were the strongest, the fittest.
The protected this little slice of civilization and in return, they ate and drank with out too much worry. from time to time they secured food of course, but they weren't starving, like most people were.
Best of all, when his brothers decided that they should all get married and attempt to start raising the next generation, the first generation that would be born into this world. Well the solution was simple, find a woman who wanted as little as he wanted from her. he would give her protection and food, but he simply wasn't a emotional man, he wasn't one to build unnecessary attachments. He had found just the girl. She was enough to stave of f his brothers. She was fun to be around while she was around and then she was off again.
He was almost growing fond of her...at least thats what he thought while she was gone.

Rebecca used to be an emotional girl and a strong advocate of love, but those days were far in the past. Love was a useless relic of the days before. If anything, marriage now more closely resembled the marriages of the Middle Ages; convenient pairings where two sides reach a functional agreement.
There was a red man in The Town named Saturn whose brothers had some crazy marriage pact. Saturn was like her: not looking for the happy ending and kids. He wanted a way to get out of commitment, along with a few other creature comforts she could provide. She wanted a wedding banquet and a place to return to every once and a while for food and a roof. It was a match made in heaven.
Rebecca rested her metal pillars outside of the door to Saturn's stone home. Forgoing knocking, Rebecca opened the door and called out, "Honey, I'm home!"
A smirk came to his lips. ' If you were looking for someone in an apron dear...you came to the right place." He was never good at small talk, but apparently belittling yourself worked fine. "I'll get a fire going, you can pick whatever you like from the pantry.
Things had a certain rhythm with them, she was inevitably starving, He would make sure she got enough to eat. if they talked, they would talk about how it was out there, how it was in here. Rarely sharing anything of real emotional worth. He'd heat some water, she would get clean, if she felt like it. They would consummate their 'marriage' sleep and typically he would wake up alone. thats how things went typically, he always assumed someday she would decided that it was nicer here, and things would get a bit more complicated.
Sometimes, he thought he'd like it, sometimes he sighed with relief when she wasn't there. Perhaps if they had something in common.

>> "If you were looking for someone in an apron dear...you came to the right place. I'll get a fire going, you can pick whatever you like from the pantry."
Rebecca did not smile anymore, but Saturn could at the very least illicit a smirk from her. He was the perfect bachelor, but he could cook, and his house kept food in stock. "Oh darling, ye always know jist how to please me," she joked.
There was part of Rebecca that envied the Town way of life. They had water and food and they did not have to scavenge to survive like she did. Being in the town meant being part of a community, and that was something Rebecca was not ready for. She might never be ready for it, and if she was, she doubted Saturn would be ready to have a full-time wife.
Rebecca looked through the pantry and found potatoes and strawberries. Mashed potatoes and the fruit for dessert? She pulled the food, as well as some other ingredients out of the pantry and on to the table.
Rebecca looked down at her dirty white top; she needed a shower something fierce. "Ugh, Ah feel so grimy." She considered just taking her top off; he was her husband after all, which made the small stone house partially her own home, if she could call anything her home anymore.
“Whatever else is my purpose, but to please you?” Saturn chuckled softly. He built the fire with the practiced efficiency of someone who had done it most every day for years. He set a kettle to heating, it would serve to heat water for the tub. Once it boiled, it mixed in with the water to make a warm bath, though the heat was rarely even.
Saturn certainly didn't mind when Rebecca took anything off, seeing scantily clad women in one’s home had decreased a billion fold with the end of technology. She looked to be in decent shape no obvious cuts or bruises at least from what he could see.
He then set to work on making the food as tasty as he could with what he had to work with, a recent recovery, was one of the best, they found a mutant, that could summon other worldly creatures, one of which produced a milk, that was almost a perfect match for a cow. They were weird and better not thought of, but they had real, milk. Fresh. Those potatoes would be gooooooood. But he wasn’t cooking for himself, he was cooking for this famished woman.
“They came across, some soap recently; I didn’t want to waste it on me.” He kept clean enough. Mars certainly griped enough to make you want to. Cleanliness was healthiness. But he thought she might enjoy being truly clean, and he might enjoy the effect as well. He wanted to say more but didn’t want to make it awkward. He turned and got back to making food.

Rebecca folded her shirt neatly on a nearby chair. It was oddly liberating to feel the warm air on her tanned, freckled body. Of the men and women who had partaken of the sight in the past years, Saturn ranked high on the eyes she felt almost comfortable with. Getting past his red skin and giant frame, he was a tolerable man, and he did his best to be gentle... well, gentle enough to only keep her stuck in bed for a day or so.
The bath water was heating up, and Saturn was working on dinner for his starving spouse. Sham-wedding aside, he certainly helped her with huge favors, and she was no fan of being indebted without having some way to return the favors.
Rebecca sauntered over to Saturn, wrapping her arms around his colossal bicep, pressing her body firmly against him. (She would have put her arms around his neck from behind, but with a six-foot-nine husband, a seductive gesture like that would require a ladder. "Thanks for putting me up for a night or two, hubby." She tugged his arm to bring him closer to her level and kissed his cheek. "Ah hope th' Town ain't too boring without me around." After living the vagabond life for years, it was hard to imagine being tied down to one place again; frankly, she wondered why Saturn did it at all.
It might have helped that Saturn didn’t look at her out of hunger, he wasn’t a wolf out in the world that hoped to prey on the petite woman never mind the metal columns, It was easy to fool ones self when looking at something you’ve gone with out. vagabonds and drifters after his petite and oh so dangerous wife. He wasn’t truly worried about her, not when she could handle herself like she did
Her warm and bare body against his and he was ready to keep her in town again, It was somewhat like being on a boat in the ocean, his indecisiveness ebbed and flowed, She was good, great, suffocating. It was odd but at the moment. “You know, you are welcome to stay as long as you like.” He turned and kissed her lightly on her cheek as well. “ The current situation works for us, I need you to know though ,if you ever want to stay more than you want to go. Then you should stay, we could make it work.” He didn’t know if he loved her exactly, but he cared about her, and would gladly see that she was comfortable, even if it proved they weren’t the couple that his brothers believed them to be.
“That said, you know this town isn’t nearly as interesting without you in it, Bec.” His finger twisted a curl into her hair and then back out again.
He turned to the food and started back up cooking, mashing potatoes wasn’t exactly a hard task for someone who could mash a potato with a gentle squeeze. The milk was taken from the crazy double vase refrigeration system Mars and Zelek had worked out something about the sand between the vases removing heat, he didn’t understand it, but it worked , so that was all that mattered to him.

For the titan he was, Saturn had a softer side he would never admit to. It had been a long time since she felt a soft kiss on her cheek or the careful touch of a thick red finger playing with her hair. He was a good friend, and that was as much as she wanted in a husband.
Saturn left the option open for her to stay if she ever made the choice, which was not something she was used to hearing. The offer was tempting in its own ways; constant food and a man over a foot taller than her to treat her well. The Town was too comfortable and consistent though, and she was far too broken to fit there. "Maybe someday. If Ah stay here, ye damn better not put a giant red baby in mah belly!" she teased.
Rebecca gave Saturn's hand a tight squeeze before she walked away to the bath. Her hands pulled down on the hem of her skirt until it fell off her wide hips, dropping to the floor.
Rebecca eased her body into the hot water, resisting the urge to moan at the rare feeling of caked-on dirt being soaked away from her figure. She spotted the soap Saturn mentioned and quickly took advantage of the gift. The bar glided across her skin, and the more it mixed with the water, the more her skin began to soften, enjoying a covering of soapy bubbles along her arms, chest and legs.
Rebecca dipped her hair into the water, running her fingers through the wet strands. "You know, keep gifts like this coming, and there might be a loving marriage for us yet." She had never actually gone so far to use the words "I love you" with Saturn, because she knew she could not manage a feeling like that. Thankfully, she knew him just well enough to know he was not going to lose any sleep over it.
Saturn let out a loud laugh. “ fair enough, I just wanted you to know, as far as big red babies go, You know my brothers havn’t managed to produce a big and red baby yet.” Big yes, red, yes, big and red nope. He shook his head, if he didn’t think he could handle the fiery woman before him, what was to make her think he could handle a red headed, red skinned spit fire of a kid they were sure to produce.
Saturn’s jaw dropped with the skirt, He was lucky she was walking away, once she realized she was torturing him, she enjoyed it all the more. His eyes couldn’t help but watch her walk away. An unconscious sigh escaped his lips.
“ You know its not fair to tell me things like that without your clothes on. Is there anything you need? I’m sure I could work something out over at celest’s.” It was as good a time as any to make sure she was faring well out there. Maybe a fresh shirt or shoes. He could talk Zelek into summoning some metal for her. “besides, what could be more loving than mashed potatoes and strawberries?” Saturn finished up cooking between catching a glimpse of whatever happened to be above the water line of the tub at the moment.

Rebecca took water in her cupped palm to pour it over her body, rinsing off the bubbles to reveal clean, pleasant smelling skin. She listened as Saturn gave her a overview of the new babies in the Abyss family. So far there had been no big, red babies, but with her luck, she would have the first.
Saturn asked if she needed anything; despite everything, he looked out for her, which she appreciated, and she would repay in kind. "Ah wouldnae mind some clean new clothes." She hoisted her now fresh, inviting body out of the water. "Clothes for later, of course."
She found a towel to wrap around her body and returned to Saturn, who had made good progress on her much-needed dinner. She wrapped her arms around his wide, muscular waist from behind, kissing the spot between his broad shoulder blades. "Ah could think of one or two more loving things."
But seriously. She really wanted that food. "Of course, dinner comes first," she teased, taking a seat at the table, still wrapped in nothing but a towel.
“that seems feasible. I’ll take care of it.” a smirk came to his lips as he added the word. ‘later.” Probably after she was sound asleep, she slept well in his bed, he imagined not having to watch your back for a night coupled with a comfortable mattress, pillows and a cover, would do that for someone used to sleeping with out any of those things.”
“oh? I might have to explore these other loving things I have over looked.” Saturn said as his tail casually twined around her legs and released them. goose bumps went up his back as the woman hid from his view and began to kiss him near his spine. “Dinner before dessert is only proper.”
He set the bowl of mashed potatoes down next to the bowl of freshly washed strawberries. “ “but then I have already had my dinner.” He knelt behind and put his lips gently to her bare shoulders. After a few light kisses he began to massage her shoulders with absolute care, with ease he could break the woman if he wasn’t. as it was he managed to find several spots that could use messaging and tended to them.

Rebecca could indeed have done worse for a husband than Saturn. Truthfully, there was a day when she assumed she might have had a happy life with a happy wife of her own, but things were different, and having a strong man who could provide for her and even massage her while she ate. She was not meant for Town life, but it was a great place to enjoy a vacation. "How convenient... Ah'll eat quick."
It was not much of a stretch for her to get through her food faster; she was famished. She took large scoops of creamy potatoes from the bowl to her mouth, savoring the taste. As she enjoyed her food, all the while, she felt her tension being kneaded away by strong red hands. He was careful with her, but her body still recognized how much fine pressure he was exerting, and welcomed it.
The potatoes quickly vanished, replaced with a clean bowl, leaving behind only strawberries. They were her favorite fruit, and some would even say an aphrodisiac. She took a sweet berry in her hand. "Time for desert."
Rebecca placed the fruit between her teeth and turned around, inviting Saturn into a flavored kiss. Even a cold woman like her needed the occasional warm affection.
“You eat however fast or slow you like.” The words fell on deaf ears, whether she was hungry or as interested in desert as much as he was he didn’t know. He knew that they had been referring to relations as dessert but there was something absolutely fascinating about the sassy little ginger turning to him in nothing more than a towel referring to herself as desert with a strawberry between her teeth.
“I think I might have to savor desert, a bit more than diner.” His hands went to her hips and lifted her into a kiss. He nibbled the strawberry and would let her take the rest, that little farm always had more. She wouldn’t have access to them as often if at all. Now that the strawberry was out of the way, He might have to let her come back for the rest later.
Being indomitably strong made him hesitant to initiate things, he certainly didn’t want anything to feel forced, not that they had ever had that issue. And she might even be interested in a show of strength, but he was hesitant.
That said, this towel wasn’t doing either of them any good. His tail curled around and knocked the little part of the towel tucked into its out and let gravity do the rest. Three steps and a turn and they were standing near the edge of the bed. She was only wearing the remnants of their strawberry kiss around her lips and he was in leather armor.” It seems somehow you’ve managed to be undressed before me again? How does that keep happening?”

The kiss was expected and enjoyable, but not quite as pleasing as being vaulted by strong hands at her waist. Rebecca's legs did their best to wrap themselves around Saturn's thick waist, and her arms draped themselves over his broad shoulders as she continued to enjoy the kiss. Emotionally, Rebecca was cold and distant, but physically, she had the same needs as any young woman in her twenties. Sex was a weapon, a tool, a release, and a form of exercise, so if she was going to use it, there was no reason not to enjoy herself.
Rebecca noticed Saturn's tail curling around his waist and up to the place near her chest where the towel was tucked into itself. She allowed the intruder to undo the tuck and the towel slid down her body, revealing her breasts, then waist, then everything else before falling to the floor, unwanted.
While Rebecca was losing herself in heer partner's tongue, Saturn relocated himself to the edge of the bed, which left Rebecca's bottom hovering feet above the mattress.
Removing himself from the kissing (against Rebecca's wishes,) Saturn noted the clothing differential between the two. Rebecca sighed, having no desire to leave from her spot against Saturn's chest. She found all the metal clasps and buckles around Saturn's armor and tried to avoid letting her boiling blood affect her powers, lest she tear everything off of his armor, ruining it; her sex was good, but possibly not good enough to value over good armor.
Rebecca undid all the metal fixtures on the chest harness and belt quickly and accurately. Tightening her left leg around Saturn's waist and her left arm around his neck, she used her free foot to pull his waist-piece down and her free hand to slide his arm-piece and harness away, leaving her red husband in his red glory.
(Minus the strap boots. She was too lazy to deal with them, so they would remain until he kicked them off.)
Rebecca kissed Saturn's neck, wondering if he felt much through his stone-like skin and muscle. "There, now we're even. So if you dornt throw me down on that bed and till me like a field, we're gettin' divorced." The threat did not carry much weight in a sham marriage, but she wanted to be crystal clear with the urgency of her desires.
She looked good in a towel, but she looked better out of it. if he didn’t get her new clothes, and got rid of the old ones, he wondered momentarily if she would stay with him just like that.
Saturn would have helped with the armor if she needed it, but any assistance he might have given would have gotten in the way of the woman’s hunger. Besides his hands hand better things to do. Tangling loosely in her strawberry locks, exploring her freshly washed flesh, holding her close even as she clung closer.
He had an idea of what the mashed potatoes might have felt like, and for a moment he was envious of them, standing before her, he felt like he was the one to be devoured, right up until the moment she made her demand. He tilted his head away from her to allow her the length of his neck. “You won’t need to file those papers.”
He didn’t throw her down on the bed, but moved with her in one fluid motion, why separate when they were so delightfully close. When he exhausted her, she’d stay for an extra day. His eyes devoured the lithe freckled form before him and he was determined to keep her for a week.
