The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Meld paced back and forth in her room nervously in anticipation of the activities planned for the night. Was she actually seriously considering doing this? Was she actually going out with the plan of committing cold blooded murder? Of cops no less? Not that the killing of humans was really considered murder, they were nothing more than animals after all, but a part of her still recoiled from the fact. She had killed before in self defense but this was different, this was going out and actively pursuing the death of others. The idea was to to raid a store, cause a whole bunch of damage and chaos, maybe get away with a bit of cash, and the murder any cops who happened to arrive on the scene. She assumed they would probably flee back to Sanctuary after that, hopefully with cop bones or cop corpses that could be turned into bones in hand.
This was really happening. Meld was really going to kill in cold blood. She looked at her watch. It was time to go meet the others. As Meld made her way down the hallway she continued thinking about what the three of them were about to do. She didn't feel guilty, exactly, that wasn't the right word. Its not like they were going out to kill innocents. That why she had insisted upon this plan, in order to avoid the killing of innocents. Even if not all cops hated mutants, all cops were guilty due to what they did and how they did it. They were no more than rabid dogs that needed to be put down. So what was her problem then? What exactly was making her feel so nervous?
Meld stood anxiously just inside the foyer waiting for Aura and Isabel to show up, knowing that they wouldn't be more than a few minutes. Aura, she knew, was never late and she just didn't know Isabel well enough to gauge how time conscious the woman tended to be. Meld, as per usual, was early. She went back to her musings. Maybe it had to do with the conversation she had had with Bear regarding The Order far to recently. It still weighed heavily on her mind heavily upon her mind, the questions about some of the actions The Order may have taken and how their morality in fighting for mutant rights. Meld reaffirmed her determination to watch and observe carefully this night and many nights to come. She wouldn't allow second hand information to color her views to harshly until she had seen things for herself. And even if they were true...Meld let the thought hang in her head, not entirely sure, yet what she would do if they proved to be true. All she knew is that she would not give up the fight for mutant rights.
Aura was excited about the day, not becuse she would be gathering bones, no that she did normally as Humans somhow kept triggering her responce to defend herself. This time however she would have freinds to go with her. A girl's night out so to speak, one that Aura was very sure Meld and Isabel could defend themselfs against the cops. Aura agtherd her hair behind her head, and tied it back with a small silk ribben, the white of it almost hidden by the stray hairs that had escaped her grasp. Aura ahd no qualms about hurting humans or mutants if she had to or was orderd to. Ones orders and loyelty came before what she wanted.
Their target was spaciffic this night however, cops and vandelism. Aura ahd no need for money but destruction and killing of the humans were enough of a reason to go in itself. Aura was happy isabel was comming as well, she felt Meld meeting her would be a good experince and a good way to meet a high ranking order member. Aura looked down at some of the useless bones she still had laying around and smiled, their was somthing intresting about going bone hunting with a woman who could manipulate her own.
Thrwing on a knee length black skirt and amatching top, Aura kneeled down and pet her skunk on the head. Checking the time, she smiled, loading and packing the police revolver she had obtained into her handbag, about the only reasons he even used one. Exiting the room she made her way to the Foyer. Aura figured this would be an enjoyable time as she looked arounf spotting meld easily and walking over to her. "Should be a fun night out" Aura said as she brought her aura into veiw and hardened it over each of her fingers, one to the next without looking at them, an old habit but one she onsiderd useful to maintaining her level of control over her gift.
A little bonding time over spilled blood was always a treat, and Isabel just couldn't bring herself to pass it up, no matter what she'd promised Seizure about her behavior. He wanted her to play out of the spotlight. She could be careful. It wasn't any huge scale mission or anything. A little property damage and some fun with the responding officers. She could always have her companions retreat if need be. It was strange to be accompanying two junior Order members without the rest of the group tagging along. It was almost like she was a big sister following after a pair of younger siblings and coaching them in some lesson they'd need to know. She had an advantage in the situation, being both a senior Order member as well as a manipulator of the material they were out to get. It was just a matter of seeing if she could effectively handle the responsibility of her position without becoming completely absorbed in her own fun.
Not wanting to keep the other two waiting, she didn't wait long before setting out to head toward the Foyer, where she'd been told they'd be waiting. She was looking forward to seeing Aura again. The girl shared many of the same interests as Isabel did, namely her fondness for carnage. Meld was one of the newer members that she didn't know much about. They'd only interacted once before and she was looking forward to getting to know her a little better, particularly under the current circumstances. Casually she stepped out into the Foyer, giving Lisa a nod in passing, giving a smile to the two she was to accompany when she spotted them. "Well, first thing's first, I suppose. Is there anywhere in particular you had in mind for looting, Aura?" she asked, slowing to a stop a short distance from the pair. "Or are we just going out and finding the first place that looks promising?

Meld was looking forward to this night, not only because it meant she would be able to gather materials for her latest Flesh Meld but also because it meant spending some valuable time getting to know her fellow Order members. She hadn't yet had a chance to speak to many of them, aside from Aura, and planned to make the best of this trip. With a little luck she would hopefully be able to make a good impression to Isable, one of the senior Order members and that could only mean good things for her future.
"Should be a fun night out" Meld grinned. "That is should." Upon Isabel's arrival Meld inclined her head respectfully, knowing that a little respect could go a long way. She wasn't a soldier to blindly follow any order given her or look up to her superiors as infallible, but she knew how to deal with superiors in a manner that would encourage them to look positively upon her. It would ultimately come down to how she performed, of course, but it never hurt to start from a positive place rather than a negative one. Even something as seemingly simple as showing a little respect could go a surprising way and she knew all ready that, sooner or later, she wanted to be where Isabel was right at the moment. She didn't want to take the woman's job, necessarily, but she did want to be among the top ranking members of The Order. She knew it would be a long and difficult road to get there, starting at the very bottom as she was, but get there she would.
Aura was happy Isabel had decided to come a long, Aura ahd wanted to spend time with her for a number of reasons, not the least of which a sshe was high ranking order member and Aura liked to prove she was useful to those she served. "Actually i did have an idea, theirs a jewelery store, run by a prominent and somewhat wealthy man, who sends a lot of cash to Various anti-Mutant groups. By striking their, we should attract the attention of the police and even some friendly looting to off set their previous....mis-use of their wealth" Aura said, having looked into various targets before they had decided to meet up. The store was also not to far a way, but in a run down section of town. Reaching into her hand bag she picked out a lighter and some hairspray before finding what she was really looking for. Handing the small pieces of paper to the two, the directions were on the page a long with the stores name.
"I checked out the area, a number of run down buildings in the area and if things do happen to get to get out of hand, the subway runs nearby which should provide for an easy dissopearing act" Aura went on, use to scouting out her targets usually for days, to try and find potential issues and things that could go wrong, being prepared meant you stayed a live better, and besides she had learned her lessen a few nights prior. She had selected the target in part because of Meld, Aura figured it would be better to target someone who actually was hurting the Mutant cause be it with money or action. "I figure it's a good place to start, if either of you have any other idea's we could stop at those points as well" she offered letting her aura fade entirely. Aura briefly wonderd if the clerks who worked at the store klnew what the owner funded, but very soon it would not matter.
Isabel gave another smile to Meld as the young woman inclined her head in the senior Order member's direction. A small nod of her head was given in return, acknowledging the gesture and offering an amount of respect in return. Manners tended to go over well with Isabel to some extent after dealing with people like Bane for so long, those individuals seemingly used to acting however they wanted around any and all members of the faction. She had grow used to such behavior, which perhaps made the more polite members of the group stand out a littler more than they would have otherwise.
Attentively she listened as Aura spoke and gave her a run-down on the situation, taking the paper that was offered and examining what was on it. "It certainly sounds as if you've done your research, Aura," she commented, folding the paper and slipping it into one of her pockets. Anything to do with the anti-mutant movement was a good enough reason for her to step in and show her disapproval. Though, anything dealing with the cops tended to sound like a good time to her, regardless of any involvement of anti-mutant supporters. The possibility of picking up a few souvenirs was also a plus. "Did you plan on making use of the vehicles in the garage, or is it up to us to find our own way there and start the attack one we're together again?"

Meld was a little relieved to hear of the target Aura had chosen for their expedition. She knew that she had more of a discerning view on who deserved to die and who didn't than her friend so knowing that the target would be a center for anti-mutant activity was most welcome. Not that they had specific plans to go killing those within the store, their goal mostly being to cause enough chaos to attract the cops who were always fair game to suffer and die, but at least now she didn't have to worry about involving innocents. That, and it would be a please to do some real damage to anti-mutant supporters.
"If there are vehicles for use in the garage it would certainly make getting there a little easier." That little bit of information was news to Meld she supposed she shouldn't have been surprised. After all, Sanctuary seemed to have just about everything else they could need. "If we park nearby, maybe a couple of blocks away that might be best. Far enough away so that its not obvious the vehicle is connected to the crime but close enough that it'll be relatively easy to return too when needed." And she had a feeling that they might have to return to make a fast getaway at the end of the night.
Aura was glad Isabel approved of the plan, she had done a lot of research on the target but she always tried to do so. Walking into a sitauation without knowing what was likely to ocur was just foolish and could get you killed. Aura was confident it would work though it would be a long walk to get out thare. She imaginbed littile issue with killing the cops, somhow their job made them more of a target instead of less, Aura guessed that was in part becuse most humans did no carry guns with them. "Police responce from Local gangs in the area mentioned, is about ten minutes" she went on mentioning it so they knew how much time they had to plan. The responce was sowmhat slow becuse if the area the neighborhood was in.
Aura looked a bit surprised at the idea of useing a veicle, one of the few places she had neglected to check out was the garage as she had no idea how to drive any sort of veicle. "I Over looked that idea to be honest, as i can not drive and it did not ocur to me one of you to might be able to, but if one of you can it would make things easier, and easier to get the goods back home as well" She said in thought realizeing useing a veicle of some sort would make this job much asier. It did make sense she wonderd what kind of veicles they could use, then she realized she had been in the garage once before she had seen a motercycle with DK if she recalled right.
Briefly Isabel wondered how the two had planned on getting to their destination without a mode of transportation, unless they'd been thinking along her train of thought about finding their own ways there and meeting up at some spot before the attack was initiated. The Sanctuary had several vehicles the residents could use. She was continually impressed by this as more than one vehicle had been sent to the shop for repairs, if they hadn't been completely destroyed in past exploits. "I can drive us there if you'd like. Not legally, of course, but I know how everything works." Why bother trying to get a license when you were wanted for murder? It was simply easier to do as she pleased.
Turning from the two and heading toward the corridors that would lead then to an elevator to take them down to the garage level, she gave a small wave of her hand to signal that they should follow along after her. "Ten minutes is plenty of time to have a little fun with the staff and gather up something pretty. I don't doubt someone will be hitting a silent alarm once they figure out we aren't going to be paying for anything. I think one of the vans will do nicely. Black with tinted windows, and plenty of room to stash any loot we decide to bring with us. Though of course there are smaller vehicles if you think one of them would be more practical for stealth reasons."

Meld was a little relieved to discover that Isabel could drive, not caring at all about the legality of it. They were, after all, about to go kill some cops in order to steal their bones so what difference did it make if they were driving illegally? She herself had never had the opportunity to learn to drive. Her parents, while she was still at home, disapproved of her learning and her life afterwords had been too hectic to find the time to learn something like that. It was, she decided, something that she would have to learn in the future, but for now she was content to be a passenger.
"I don't think stealth is going to be much of a concern," Meld answered. "The point is to attract attention, is it not? And once we've got that attention it won't matter what kind of vehicle we're driving, they have their ways of tracking us." She had been in a car chase once and it was one of the most terrifying experiences of her life. Direct confrontation was one thing, but in a police car chase she had no control of the situation; her life squarely in the hands of another, and a human no less. They had barely managed to escape in tact, owing to the rare competence of the wheel man. Hopefully this experience would be less eventful. Meld prepared to follow the other two down to the garage, not entirely sure where it was located.
Aura as with most things did not really care about the legal issues they were breaking here, she figured many of the sanctuary and order members were in the same boat as many of them had violent pasts and would be arrested for so much as stpping outside the sanctuary grounds. Aura had never tried to drive but she figured it could not be to hard. "Sounds good" she said figuring it would be much easier to get thare with a van. Normally she walked places but it was certainly a bit far of a walk. Aura had no desire to learn to drive herself.
Following Isabel she smiled as Meld made her comment about stealth not being an issue, she ahd to agree they were trying to attract attention. Then she realized what Isabel likely meant which she figured was that they might get pulled over before ever getting to their destination, this could still serve their purposes though. She recalled seeing the van before when she first came to Sanctuary, and as she arrived in the garage, she looked over the various modes of transportation avlaiable before walking up one of the vans, wondering if they had anything in them all ready of if they were just vans. "That is true but even if we do get pulled over, it's not like the cop will ever make it back to his car" she said witha soft shrug of her shoulders.
The two certainly had a point about the stealth. Isabel had been thinking more along the lines of when they made their escape, but they could easily do away with any followers, as Aura had suggested. The vehicles didn't have any license plates anyhow, so they could not be so easily traced. And if push came to shove they could always apply the same tactic as when they first set the plan into motion by parking a short ways away from the Sanctuary and then hoofing it back to the building. There wasn't much in the van that would be a loss if left behind. Anything that was brought on missions was usually gathered up beforehand and loaded into the vehicles, rather than keeping everything stored in them.
Once they had reached the garage and piled into the van, Isabel started it up and carefully exited the garage. While she knew how to drive, she didn't always do so with any exceptional skill. She was more concerned about getting from Point A to Point B in a decent amount of time, rather than playing by the rules of the road. She didn't want to damage anything inside the garage, but once the street had been reached, she allowed that caution to slide from her primary focus.
It was likely she would have made a good cab driver. Eagerly she very nearly floored it as she screeched out into traffic, grinning widely as she dodged and weaved between cars, racing to get ahead of anyone ahead of her. She didn't worry excessively about the safety of her two passengers. She already knew that the van was armored enough to protect it form a decent amount of damage, including any possible crashes and rollovers. For the most part the other vehicles on the road took the brunt of the impact in the event that the van did clip them in passing. Had they been on a set schedule, she would have been getting them there with time to spare.

Meld sat in the van, mentally preparing herself for what was to come. She was not normally in the habit of seeking out cops, let alone to kill them but felt that it would be a most satisfying experience, not only because it would send a message but also because she had never gotten along with those sorts of authority figures. It would be a most welcome change to be the one on the hunt, for once, rather than being the hunted. Perhaps if they did enough killing in graphic enough fashion, they would think twice before going after mutants in the future. And perhaps they would be able to put a serious hamper on the anti mutant activities of those within the target location.
As they continued to travel at break neck speeds, Meld focused, bringing herself into an almost meditative state. She had always preferred to prepare in this manner, although lately she hadn't had much of a chance to do so as the unexpected continued to occur in her life. With a perfectly focused mind, the actions of the body were sure to follow. It was the first step in ensuring her superiority. She spoke nothing to the other two for the duration of the trip.
Finally the van stopped in a location she assumed was near the target and she exited the van. It was obviously a run down lower income area of the city, though not so much that the police would ignore happenings in the area. Meld grinned in anticipation, flexing her claws.
Aura sat in the van not really minding the speeds they were going at and blisfully unaware of traffic laws in general. Aura wonderd how good the material would be when it arrived, she was hoping for fairly strong individuals who would serve their purpos well, as opposed to the three hundred pound officers you typicly found in movies. Aura had never specifficly gone after cops before but she imagine dit would not be terrably hard, certainly not if the Humans beleived they were himan before hand.
Aura was not one for much for mental preperation, but she did make her aura visable over each of her fingers passing the glow from finger to finger as she pationtly awaited their arrival. Closeing her eyes she considerd the job they were about to do, and wonderd if the clerks would be male in the store, if they were, they could harvest rom them as well. If they were the two teenagers she had seen in thare before they would be rather useless, they looked as if their bones might not be the strongest to her. Shewas glad the woman had chosen to come along.
As they continued on Aura watched out the front window rather enjoying watching cars veer off to their sides, she had to smile at this but even she was amazed they had not destroyed any passing cars as they passed, it kind of remineded her of a video game. When they stopped near the location Aura got of the van and looked around, the area looking much as it did when she looked over the area a few nights prior. "Play time" AUra said as she aproached the building, realizeing their were very few people around right now.
Isabel was taking an equal share in the group's feeling of anticipation for what was to come of their trouble. She hadn't robbed anything fancier than a clothing store in ages and the prospect of gathering something with a little value was always exciting. While she wasn't one to wear much in the way of jewelery, it would still look nice in her room, and the simple act of taking something from those that supported anti-mutant organizations was satisfactory enough. The addition of responding police officers was just an added bonus.
Throwing the van into park and shutting it down before she climbed out, her attention turned toward the store as a wicked grin found its way onto her face. It certainly wasn't anything glamorous, as one usually expected from a jewelery shop, but that likely just meant there would be fewer people to contend with until the police showed up and more room to work in.
As Aura stepped forward to enter the building, Isabel fell in step behind her, assuming that Meld would follow suit. Pushing through the doors, she paused off to one side, allowing her gaze to sweep the room from one end to the next. Three individuals were at the counter, two female one male. That of course wasn't to say that there weren't any more in the back or out to lunch at the moment. A few vertical displays were set up for rings and earrings, a rotating base set beneath them so they could be spun. However, the majority of the merchandise was in a large case that ran from one corner of the room to the next, two out of three clerks sitting behind them while one perused around the shop, killing time until a customer showed up.
The sight of three young women entering their shop seemed to please the individuals. Women did tend to spend more money on jewelery than men did, particularly the younger crowd. Casually Isabel strode up to one section of the ground case, absentmindedly spinning one of the vertical displays as she went. Without any sense of caution she placed her elbows on the glass and leaned over to look into the case, admiring the different rings and bracelets that sat in that particular section.
"See anything you like?" one of the clerks asked as she approached, nervously eying the glass that was supporting Isabel's weight. "Hm. I think I like everything," she replied, grinning down into the case before a spike of bone erupted from both her elbows, shattering the plate of glass as she stepped back, avoiding as much damage as possible. She didn't doubt one of the clerks would find and press the silent alarm button, though an audible alarm was already sounding as Isabel carefully picked through the glass to snatch up anything she really liked.
