HISTORY -
Twyla Blanch Ashby was born into the world the fifth child (and fourth daughter) of Margaret and James Ashby. She grew up in a tiny, quiet, conservative little town along the Mississippi River on the family farm. Her early childhood was uneventful--she watched with curiosity as her sisters went through middle and high school and watched with morbid fascination as her mother's stomach swelled for nine months before producing her younger brother Johnathan. Soon she gained a reputation as being the shyest of the Ashby children and she often played with the boys and her older brother Nathan.

The biggest rock to shake Twyla's world was thrown when she was a freshman in high school and a boy in her grade, Mark, erupted in scales in the middle of class. It was the first time she'd ever really had to deal with the ideas of mutants and it wouldn't be her last. When she was 16, going on 17 Twyla discovered her own mutation at a party. Unlike Mark, who got shipped off by his parents to some clinic, Twyla ran away from home without much money and no plan but East.

East (eventually) proved to be where she needed to be. After traveling up and down the coast on spare change after her train ticket expired Twyla ended up (for the second time) in New York City where she (eventually) was found by her grandmother, Blanch Kleinsmith, who sent her to Xanvier's Sister School. The Mansion opened doors for the girl who (eventually) dyed her hair pink and blond after deciding that she wanted to try to become an X-Man. Coincidentally, on the same day as the dye she met someone very interesting...

The girl soon began to make friends at the Mansion and things started to feel normal again.

After an intense holiday season Twyla Ashby is trying to sort her life and her dreaming back in order, which is proving to be more difficult than she'd planned for.

POWERS - Twyla Twyla has the ability to camouflage herself along with the things she it touching. The patterns on her skin change when her background changes but this is a gradual thing. Her powers only mask her form and colors not her heat, noises, or anything else that either her body or whatever she it touching produce.

POSTS TO SEE:

For Five Dollars and a Burger - Twyla's first (re)appearance on the New York scene. She washes some cars and then meets a woman named Meld with metal appendages who (Twyla doesn't know it) is a criminal. They run into a man named Dead and a police chase ensues. This is the first time that Twyla introduces herself as Wallflower and is the first time she is introduced to the Sanctuary.

A New game Plan - Twyla finally makes it to the Mansion after not only hearing about it from a boy named David but being pushed to live there by her grandmother. In this thread she gets a room and meets a man named Shin who gets her settled and gives her a tour along with some book suggestions.

A Cthulhu Christmas - Twyla convinces her friend Henri to run off to the park with the X-kids. As it turns out she's no good in a giant monster scenario and manages to break someone else's ribs along with messing up her wrist. This night severley hampers the blond's confidence and it messed with her sleeping patterns in a big way.

What Are Your Doing New Year's Eve? - Twyla goes out on a girls night out with Maya that turns into a friends night out with Gawain that ends with a kiss and some snow. This is the first time Twyla Ashby has experienced a real kiss and she doesn't mind the experience at all--what comes after kissing someone seems to be the issue. Her friendship with Mirror is put into jeopardy and she gets herself all confused.
