The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Jewel sat by Audrey's bed in the Infirmary, waiting for the girl to wake up. DocProf has just left. He seemed like a very kind person; he healed most of the girl's injuries, and told Jewel her friend will be all right; she just needed rest. Jewel hasn't met him before, so she introduced herself, and he talked with her for a while, making sure she calmed down after all that happened earlier today. The fight in the jewelry store. Jewel was sure most of the people in the Mansion had already heard the news. The police was all over the story (as was the press), for one; and then there was the fact that Jewel and her parents arrived in the mansion with a strange girl covered in blood, and rushed her to the Infirmary. There was going to be a lot of talk. And a lot of questions. (Jewel's parents were already talking to the police, mainly telling them they couldn't talk to their daughter right away, because she needed medical attention. That wasn't quite true, but oh well.) Jewel looked at the sleeping girl. She only knew her name (DocProf told her that much). She wondered is she had made the right decisions. She sighed. Well, she'll find that out as soon as someone showed up to ask what the hell happened.
While accidents happened and mutants got in serious fights, the Infirmary seemed to attract quite a lot of questions. Yet no mutant could make as many questions a the smallest girl at the Mansion could, little Millie. Fade had been walking around the Mansion, making her way down to the kitchen to grab some ice cream when the little blonde tugged at her hand. Millie had bright blue eyes and she was jumping up and down with excitement. What the hell?
"Um, 'cute me, tomeone came here covered in tomato juite! Did they get prayed by a kunk?" she asked, tugging more at Fade's hand. A skunk? "Tee went to tee the doc!" Well, skunk victims would go into the shower, no to DocProf. Allowing Millie to pull her along, she followed the girl in curiousity.
At last, they reached the infirmary and Millie ran up to the girl in the bed, just staring at her. A few questions escaped her lips about the smell, but Fade had a different agenda. Turning to DocProf, she spoke "how bad is she?"
"Well hello to you too, Fade. I heard you were back around here, but you haven't swung by to say hello yet," he nodded, picking up Morphia's file.
"Hey, sorry. I'd make it more personal, but I recognize that girl from a day of shopping," she said, pointing to Morphia. DocProf knew Fade well enough to know she was not much of the shopping type, and judging by the stain on her pants, she had failed her mission.
"She came in here a while ago, had blood everywhere. I healed everything I could, she's fine, she just has to deal with the shock and confusion now. Try to get her to calm down while I run some tests," he requested, moving over to his desk and setting down his files. DocProf was so calm sometimes.
Walking over to the bed, she grabbed Millie's hand and tried to direct her away from the bed, but she was still in awe of the tomato juice woman. "Hi there, Audrey. Remember me?" she asked, taking a seat next to the bed. Unfortunately, she did not recognize the girl in front of her, she may be a resident, or Fade may just be growing older. "Audrey, do you know what happened to you? Or perhaps your friend," she looked up to Jewel. It was just an assumption that the two were friends, although it seemed like they were, there was always a possibility that one was not on their side and they just gained access to their infirmary.

Shana had heard the commotion that had happened a little prior. She was unsure what happened, but from what she had heard of the wounds their had been a fight somewhere. Shana walked into the infirmary partially out of curiosity of what happened. She also wanted to make sure the girl was all right, she hated when people got injured becuse of such things and her desire to see if the girl was ok, far outweighed her fear of Doctors. Nervously straightening her skirt she looked around the infirmery taking in all the medicle equipment and tools in the room.
Shana walked in, framed by her flowing blue locks, as it took her just moments to find the girl, whom it seemed already had a friend waiting for her. Shana thought about just leaving then but mentally she forced herself to go forward,s he had already come this far, and it was not her the Doctor was interested in anyway, she had to be more social, she had to worry less about things. Walking up to the girl wh was waking up, she waited for the two to settile before she would say anything, after all the one girl had just woke up. It really was amazing what Doctor Professor could do, to fix a wound, it was a power she would have loved to have herself.
Then she saw Fade aproach the woman and she seemed to know her as well, walking over, new found confidence in her now that someone she knew was thare she walked up to the bed as well though she kept a few feet of distance. She listened to fade mention how she knew her. She kept quite though As fade asked what happoned which was really the question she was wondering about even as she questioned again if she should even be thare. "So you know her fade? I saw them come in" she offerd at last giving a small waive to Audrey as the girl looked around.
There was this odd numbness where the pain and blood had once been. Once. There was no pain anymore, none at all. She was a little confused, had the fight really happened? As her mind processed everything, her senses started working again. Audrey felt a soft fabric.covering her body, which was warm. Behind her closed eyelids, she could see some light in the room. She could hear some beeping noises, and one person breathing and moving nervously nearby. Where was she? She tried opening her eyes, but her head suddenly felt ten times too heavy. It hurt! It was hurting even more then her transformations hurt her. Oh well, at least she knew she wasn,t dead.
That was when the fight came back, clearer then ever. How was the Jewelry girl? Had the other girls gotten away? Had they caught their prey and killed him yet? Hopefully not! She shot upward in a sitting position, her eyes snapping open, no matter how painful her head was now. Weird, when she'd fallen, she'd knocked her head, but that had been the least of her pains... She stared down at her chest, feeling it absently. There was a thin scar...as if there had once been a large cut there a few weeks ago... How long had she been asleep? She looked back up, finally looking around at her surroundings.
A Hospital?
"Where am I?" she whispered hoarsly, not entire sure anyone had heard her. She quickly glanced around, then saw the Jewelry girl. She wanted to ask so many questions, but before she could even manage a single word, she was cut off by a man who was, without a doubt, the doctor. "Miss Walker, relax... I healed your wounds, but you still need to take it easy for a few hours." he was giving her some medicine from the IV machine stuck to her, and that's when she noticed where the beeping came from. She sighed, deciding that relaxing was the best idea. She could relax and still ask questions. She needed answers.
Then Fade walked in with a very young blonde girl.
Audrey was a little confused, and though she listened to Fade and the Doctor, she couldn't make sense of what they were saying. Only that it was about her. Instead of fussing over the two talking, she scanned the rest of the room. It seemed like an Infirmary... Not entirely a Hospital. She could see the door that was half open, and outside was a corridor. She continued staring at the door dazily, and then a blue-haired woman came in. That was also when Jenny came up to her and started asking questions.
"Hi there, Audrey. Remember me?"
Of course she did, but right now words couldn't quite form themselves, so she decided just to nod her head.
"Audrey, do you know what happened to you? Or perhaps your friend..."
It took a few seconds, but she finally got the strength to speak. "I remember...There was a Fight at the Jewelry Store...Two Mutant girls attacked the Owner and..." she drifted off, looking at Jewel for some more details. She could hardly remember, really.
Jewel looked up when the girls came in; she expected that people will start coming in and asking questions soon enough. She had seen the girls before in the Mansion, but hadn't talked to them yet. When Audrey woke up, she turned her attention to her "It's okay, you are safe. I brought you to the Institute. They healed your wounds..." Apparently Audrey was still confused, and although she remembered the fight, Jewel felt like she owed the others a somewhat longer explanation. "We were in the City, and a jewelry shop got attacked by two... mutant girls. They wanted to kill the owner, because he hates mutants... one of them had metal claws... and the other had this strange aura she used as a weapon." apparently Jewel was still frightened by the idea "I just... happened to be there, in the shop, when they came in. And Audrey, she was there too, and we... um, tried to protect the owner. I helped him get away, while... Audrey fought them. But they were... very strong. And Audrey got hurt. And I... um, I talked our way out of it... I just... tried to stop the fight. The one with the steel arms, she offered to take Audrey with them, because they had healers... and they didn't want to kill us, because we are mutants too... but I brought Audrey here instead." She looked at the visitors, and remembered to introduce herself "I'm Lily, by the way... most people call me Jewel. I'm a new student here..."
A jewelry store fight? Didn't they have increased security measures at such an expensive store? Well, they were all mutants, so it would explain how they were able to cause so much damage. "It's ok, Audrey, just rest up, ok?" she said, attempting to calm down the apparently new resident. Listening to Jewel's side of the story, it struck up some curiousity. Of course, Fade was in no position to really talk about too much, but she was familiar with the ideas and the strategies of these two mutant girls that attacked the store.
"Hmm, sounds like the Order is getting out for some fresh air, and some jewels," she sighed. At least they did not kill the girls, but it was not the Order's style, they didn't kill mutants unless they were X-Men. Luckily for the girls, they were unaffiliated with the X-Men so it was not that bad of a fight. "Nice to meet you, Jewel. I am Fade. Thank you for bringing her in," she nodded.
Turning to Shana, she made way for her to enter the scene. "Shana, do you know anything about these two attackers? Order members with metal arms and pink auras. I'm not familiar with them, but they sound like the Order," she said. Shana was fairly new as well, Fade doubted she was familiar with the other factions, but it was nice to include her and see, maybe she did know something that would be helpful.

Shana was glad the girl was all right though she did seem rather out of it, which from the injury she had sustained was not unexpected. Severe injury's had a way of messing with the mind and blocking out some or even all of the memory. Jewels description however made their attackers seem more like monsters and it was hard for Shana to imagine people with metal limbs and Aura's that glowed. Still it sounded like whoever the two attackers were, hey were reasonable able to be talked to and reasoned with, as long as that was possible, then their was hope to get them to stop.
"My name is shana" she said to Lily and Audrey before continuing "The order?" She asked tilting her head, knowing nothing of the order at all, no news of them had been broadcast on the is Israeli networks. But then it already seemed like they left quite a bit out. She also realized that their could be more then one mutant with the same or a simmeler power, if their were more then one healer around just in this city. She offerd a gentile smile as she took the place, fade offered to her with a smile which quickly faded as Fade asked her questions.
"I know nothing of the two you speak of Fade, and though they sound like they can be reasoned with....I do have a fear however...." She said, her nervousness getting to her again, her hand playing with the hem of her skirt, an old habit she had picked up. "What if they try and go after that shop keeper again, if their as reckless as you made them sound Lily, they might hurt someone else or even worse....actually kill them....I don't know much about this city, but i can not help but be worried" She was clearly a bit distressed by her own words, if they went after the man again it was unlikely the man would have such kind and brave defenders, Shana had to wonder if she could be that brave herself. She was happy however that these two seemed to have tried to use words to persuade the others not to hurt the man, even if they were unsuccessful it made Shana happy to know their were others who beleived as she did.
The Institute, Audrey had definitely heard of this place before, but never wanted to set foot in it. For some reason, being around nobody but Mutants all of the time wasn't something she wanted just yet. She had decided that even before moving here, and after tonight, the decision had only become even more solid. For goodness sake, would you really expect her to want to be here? After all, she hadn't met many Mutants yet, and two of the ones she had met were evil and wanted to kill an inoccent human... Well, a human who disliked Mutants. Still, he hadn't done anything truly wrong!
When Jewel then explained the finer details, Audrey leaned back in the bed, listening. She didn't feel as if there was anything more she needed to add, apart from a comment that was, she knew perfectly, unnecessary. "When I came in the City, I sure didn't see myself fighting such vicious girls."[/b] She laughed a little showing she was joking. The laughing hurt her head however, so she stopped quickly. Man, she shouldn't get into fights anymore... Not until she learnt a bit more about Mutants and have more defense skills.
"I'm Lily, by the way... most people call me Jewel. I'm a new student here..." Then Jewelry girl introduced herself for the first time, and it was a good feeling for Audrey to finally put a name to the friendly face and potential ally in this war that would be her life.
When Jenny mentioned something called the 'Order' Audrey's attention perked up. Oh, and there was the name Fade again! Well, at least she could make a bit more sense of it now then when the two had first met. "So, what is the Order anyway?" she asked, curiosity overwelming her exhaustion and pain. But then Jenny asked the blue-haired girl about the attackers. Audrey waited for Shana to have finished talking, so she could add what she thought was the two attackers' names... or codenames at least. "I think I know their names. I'm not sure if all the bloodloss made me hear things, or think I heard things..."
She paused for a second, feeling everybody watching her. It wasn,t often she had the entire room's attention. "The woman who had all those weird body parts...She was refered too as Meld. Her partner, I think... Urgh, I think she was... Nevermind, her name escapes me." She smiled hopefully, unsure if what she'd said could potentially help out somehow.
"Nice to meet you, Fade. Nice to meet you, Shana." she smiled at them - it was good to get to know more people from the Mansion, even under these circumstances. She listened as the two girls talked, glancing at Audrey once in a while, just to check she really was doing fine. When they talked about their attackers, she was thoughtful for a while "The one with the aura... she was very young. A teenager, I mean. And still, she was... so determined. Ready to kill anyone... if we fought, we wouldn't have stood a chance." Jewel bit her lip "It was frightening... Is that what that Order does?" She looked up "They are going to go after Davis. The owner of the shop. And his family. He hates mutants, but..."
It finally settled on the undereducated redhead's thoughts that everyone in the room was fairly new to the Mansion except for Fade, Millie and DocProf. Yet, Millie was bugging the Doc for some lollipops and due to the scare the girls had gotten and how she knew Shana felt about violence, maybe it was not a good idea to talk to them about the Order. "Shana, I think the shop will be fine. Most mutants don't attack the same place twice because the shop owners tend to prepare themselves after that. The owner must have his eye out for an aura and metal mutant." They could go ahead and check out the store, help out the owner. Honestly though, she wondered if they would attack twice. When Fade was a thief, she never stole from the same place twice, they would get smart and have infrared cameras.
"Don't be afraid. You are safe here, Shana. You don't have to fight or be put into any of those situations, there are those of us that protect with our powers and some that investigate. You will not be hurt here," she nodded. Although, there had been attacks at the Mansion before, like the Whitmore attacks, and not to mention the Registration Act. "The Order is just a few mutants who seek refuge from humans," she said, hiding a bit from the girls. It was not a good idea to tell them everything about the Order, especially since Fade did not know that much about it other than all of the battles they fought. At least they did not run into Syn.
"Are you sure they are going after this Davis? Is he at a hospital or was he brought here?" she asked, having a seat next to Audrey. Honestly, she wished there were some other X-Men around to help her out on this. There were so many things she was unsure if she should speak about. Although they were new here, they were not ready to face everything that Fade along with the other X-Men had been involved in. It was sad that they had to be pulled into something like that, but at least they were good mutants and did not agree with Meld and this other woman's views on killing and stealing.
Jewel listened to Fade - she could tell the girl was not telling them everything, but right now, she was grateful for that. As for Davis: "I don't think he is in a hospital. When I got him out of the shop, he wasn't hurt. Just scared." she said "But the... girls kept saying they were going to go after him. And his family. They won't need much time to find out where he lives. If he is smart, he's with the police right now. That's what I would do." she added; then thought about it. Probably not. Still, if she would be a human... "I was thinking... I know he hates mutants, and after today, I can't really blame him either, but... I think I could talk to him." Jewel fiddled with her bracelets "He needs to know not all mutants are..." she didn't find the right word. Savage? Desperate? Cruel?... "Um, I mean, we saved his life. And I could help him... get his shop back together." On second thought, that didn't sound that well. "Just... thinking." Something occurred to her, and she looked up at the redhead "Are you a... how do they call them... an X-man?... um, woman?" she asked shyly.

Fade had commented the attack sounded like the order and then the descriptions of just what these two were like made the order sound even worse. Then Jewel began to describe, the younger of the girls as a determined killer, who would have been willing to kill them in a fight. Were they typicle of the order, fades words made Shana think they just might be, and that worried her more, though she hid it as best she could.
Fade seemed really concerned for her and she enjoyed that, and then Fade mentioned the order were just mutants seeking refuge from humans, Her ears picked up on this right away. People who were just trying to get away from humans would not go out of their way to kill a targeted human. Jewel also seemed to think the shop keeper would be pursued. She trusted fade despite the rather short time she had gotten to know her, she just felt safe and even a bit confident around certain people, so.Shana said nothing of her worries, reasoning it might be better to try and find theses two order people and talk to them, a number of images of her own death went through her mind at the thought. Maybe some body else should do it afterall.
"I understand i do not need to fight here, im just hoping the man was smart enough not to go home, It is just hard to comprehend how some one could target someone for the spaciffic purpose of sending a message" SHe said believing what these two order people had intended to do was send a message to anyone who spoke against them. Still the idea it could be done was not new to her. Shana felt safe in the mansion, it was hard to imagine anyone trying to break in, with all the Mutants here it would be hard if even half of them fought back.
Audrey blinked, only now was she realizing that what DocProf had put in her IV was sleeping medicine. It occured to her that in a few minutes, she'd probably be out of it entirely. This left her a limited time to get as much information as possible, since she was planning on leaving early in the morning. She was aware of the other girls in the room as they spoke of these two ladies who'd attacked the shop, but nothing really seemed to stick. It was all a confused buzz in her ears.
"I doubt the Order are only another group of Mutants looking for a safe haven." Audrey pointed out after finally grasping a better hold of her conciousness. "They - the girls I mean - looked like trained killers. The Mansion here is a place for good Mutants looking to be kept safe and learn about their abilities? Well, what if the Order is the same thing, yet for Bad Mutants looking for Domination?" Audrey did not know how right she was. She didn,t even know that Jenny was lying to her; or keeping her from knowing the whole truth really. Right now, she was just trying to be as much help as possible.
Then the conversation seemed to have suddenly changed. Or, had it drifted to another topic after she'd fallen asleep again? Either way, she didn't care. The girls were planning on finding Davis, and Jenny, Jewel and Shana were going to stop, or try to stop them. "I want to help too. Not tonight, 'cause we all know I'm not fit to do anything, but eventually. I want to help the Humans from our kind. We need to proove we aren't the bad guys here!" She closed her eyes for a second, letting the things she'd said sink in.
She was under a lot of drugs, right now, she would probably say anything she didn,t mean, but the part about helping Humans wasn,t one of them. She wanted to help, she truly did.
Everyone was taking a different stance on this. Jewel was determined to go after the two and help this Davis man. Shana was gun shy, she did not want to be placed in a situation like that and rather found concern for the shop owner. Finally, Morphia was also determined to help the man, but realized that she could not do that until she recovered. The Mansion sure did attract some different mutants. "The Order is a place for refuge from humans. Now since the Order does not offer up education and the sorts, they attract the baddies, I guess you could say. The Order is not a fan of humans and they attempt radical approaches to let people know that mutants should be accepted. They kind of contradict themselves though," she sighed. They fought for mutants by showing humans mutants were dangerous.
Turning to Jewel, she spoke up again "There is not much that we can do. If you would like, we can travel to his place and make sure he is alright, possibly convince him to seek help with the police if he does not want care from mutants. We cannot bring him here though, that is for sure," she nodded. A mutant hater going to the Mansion would not exactly the first time, but they did not enjoy doing it that much, it always seemed that it attracted unwanted attention. Well, the Order was unwanted enough.
"You, my dear, need to rest first," she said, looking down at Audrey. "Don't rush things, it will take time, but the Doc is rather gifted with his healing, you will not be bed-ridden for too long," she assured the girl she met in the H&M store. Jewel brought up Fade's faction and she raised an eyebrow. How did she know about the X-Menn? Well, then again, the X-Men had a knack for getting into battles and being shown on the news, but so did the Order, so they should know about both in that case. Oh well. "Yes, I am an X-Man, X-Woman sounds too tacky," she added.
"Take it easy, Audrey..." she smiled at the girl; looked like she would soon fall asleep "Um, your name is Audrey, right? We didn't really get a chance to introduce ourselves" she smirked "Anyway, it's a pleasure to meet you. Now sleep. You need to rest."
She looked up at the other girls, and nodded when Fade admitted she was an X-man. She could see her question surprised her, and smiled a bit "People talk about things, you know. And my parents... made sure they knew as much about the school as humanly possible, before they sent me here..." she sighed "Looks like they made the right choice. I have a lot to learn..." she murmured to herself. "Anyway, there is not much we can do right now. Or, in my case, not anytime soon, but that's another story... I think I need to sleep too, I'm exhausted..." she yawned.
