The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Tristan wandered into the basement of the X-mansion. He remeber Ms. Tipper talking about a Danger Room and he was sick of not being able to control his powers. He wandered through the sub-basement until he found the Danger Room. "Awesome," he said to himself. "Now how do i get this thing open." He looked at the pannel next to the door. He heard foot steps in the distance and new that he wasn't supposed to train alone.
A young redhead own the pair of footsteps that echoed through the halls. Fade had decided to check out some things in the danger room, she thought she had left her bracelet in there when she practed a few days ago. She kept her head down low and watched the claws that phased through her boots slowly phase in and out of the floor. When she was nearly five feet from the door, she finally looked up and jumped back in surprise.
"Gah!" Was all that sounded from her as she turned away from him until she had regained her posture. "Sorry." She laughed before turning back to him. "I didn't see you there, lost in my own world for a second." Seeing as though she didn't recognize him, she needed to introduce herself. "My name is Fade. Are you lost?" She didn't think that too many new mutants wandered down to the danger room since she was under the impression that it was for X-Men only, however, she figured that she only thought that because she only used it as an X-Man.
"Ugh, i was told i could train here cuz i have some... ALOT of trouble controlling my.." he searched for the word. "...Abilities." he brushed his hair out o his face and extended his hand. "My names Tristan, nice to meet you."
"Very nice to meet you, Tristan." She said before opening the door by punching in the code. She walked inside and looked on the floor until she found it, her dang bracelet. "There you are." She muttered before getting down on all fours and grabbing it. "So. What is out of control with your abilities?" She asked. Not quite knowing the rules of the danger room since Tricity would call her in and she would train, she really had no idea what to do, no clue how to work it or anything. Best she could do is see if he could get some help outside of the danger room.
"Well," Tristan gestured to his gloves. "If i have any kind of skin contact with the ground i can cause earthquakes, and my hands turn into like huge rocks." He wandered in after her. "And i'm afraid that i'm gunna destroy something even if i just fall down and try to pick myself up you know."
"Well, I see what you mean. Cool power, by the way." She slyishly added in. "Have you figured out if it goes more or less controllable when you use your emotions or when you think about it and focus completely on keeping yourself un-mutated, in a sense?" She asked before taking a seat in a rolley chair. She really didn't know how to help hi because her powers had never undergone anything like this, but she didn't know how to phase the rest of her body, only her claws could phase, but her body had never gone out of control. So she tried to be understanding, although she knew that since she didn't understand his power or he himself, she wouldn't be of much help. Still, no harm in trying, right?
He figeted with his gloves. "Well it's sorta like its running lose in me but it is much more powerful when i'm emotional." He looked up. "Do you know what it's like to be in constant fear of your powers. Always afraid of hurting some one you care for, and these humans don't make it any better." He tightened his gloves. "Anyways, yeah emotion does have a large affect on them."
