The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Magic
Arcana Praeditus: Invocation
Arcana Initium: Somation
Preferred Foci: Necklace and bracelet charms, Pressure points
Agnes' abilities to summon things to her aid are magically linked to physical charms she keeps on her necklace or bracelets. By pulling this charms off, she can summon constructs and allies that they are linked to and draw them to her aid. When it comes to any somation magic spells, she works mainly with pressure points to affect either another persons, or her own body.
Magical Theme: Summoning allies to protect and fight by her side, and healing wounds and buffing bodies along the way.

History Of Your Character Agnes Nicholas is the second child of Zacheria and Maria Nicholas, a pair of religious store owners called “God Watches All”. She was raised as a deeply religious child and went to private school throughout her entire youth. Because of her parents she grew up to be deeply religious and always believed in following the right and true path that her parents laid out before her, and she was happy to keep them happy. But as soon as she became a teenager, she wanted a change. Her grades top notch, her musical skills unprecedented, and her manners exception, she convinced her parents when she was fourteen to allow her to go to public high school. Both seemed suspicious and warned her for a month about the dangers and sin that were present there, but after much insistence, they finally conceded.
Her transition to Abraham High School was difficult at first because she was the super smart kid who got the straight A’s, was little Miss Manners, and seemed to take on the persona of the teacher’s pet. This earned her ridicule but she managed to survive long enough to carve herself a niche as the resident smart girl. Plus, her truant of an older brother did manage to keep her safe, though they rarely spoke at school. Unfortunately his protection would not last forever. At 16 during a particular lunch break, her world changed forever.
Enjoying her lunch, Agnes was having her usual home-made watercress sandwich and mineral water when the kid next to her suddenly grew a long giraffe neck. He panicked about the room and Agnes watched in horror as he was not the only one affected. Nearly everyone around her started to display strange abilities and became monsters like she read in her hidden away comic book collection. With no idea what to do, she ran to find her brother, but as the students all screamed and fired off lasers, or grew wings, or hurled tables across the room, she began to feel strange. She looked around at her feet and noticed immediately that all types of insects were crowding towards her. Flies, Wasps, Roaches, all of them circled and crawled around her. Before she could fend them off, she tripped, fell back, and watched in horror as they began to descend into her mouth. She nearly passed out but as soon as they were done, she felt the warmth of them inside of her body. Then, when another student tried to attack her, a mass of yellowjackets and flies flew from her mouth and stung and fended off the student. As soon as they were done, they returned to her. It was too much to process so she ran.
With no idea what to do, Agnes ran, found a hiding place and stayed there in the kitchen, in the dark. It was not until rescue services came was she found. Most of the students were dead, she heard, overtaken by their newfound abilities. Unable to process everything that happened, Agnes only wanted to go home.
The next month was hell for Agnes. Her parents looked at her different and the few of her friends that had survived ignored her now like the plague. That was exactly how she felt, like was a walking pestilence. Everyone who came near her was sickened by the bugs that crawled and swarmed defensively near her. She was constantly left alone in her room, even her own parents refused to acknowledge. But after that month, she would wish they had continued to do so.
Being religious zealots, her parents figured that her time in high school had tainted her. That she now was a walking pestilence…and that is what they called her the very day that they tried to exorcise her. Late one night, her brother not around, her parents had slipped into her poisonous smelling room and tied her up viciously. They dragged her out, down into the living room where they performed a horrible exorcism. They cut to bleed out the evil spirits, tried to drown her in a kiddie pool of holy water, and even branded the symbol of God into her flesh. It was a wonder she survived at all.
After that, they locked her in her room and prayed for a full night for her to freed. Agnes took that as her sign to leave. In the dead of night when they had fallen to sleep, Agnes grabbed what belongings she could into a duffle bag, including her violin and case, clothing, and her one issue from her comic collection (one her brother got her), and fled from her home.
Ever since then, she has lived on the streets as a pariah, where she ignored on and remained on the fringes, hoping to never be discovered again.
[UPDATE: 1/25/2017] Agnes' life took a serious turn ever since she was brought into the Xavier's Institute in her teenage years. There she learned what it was to have a genuinely caring family and friends and that she could make a life of her own. She even met and fell in love with her first relationship, a lovely young woman by the name of Jasmine. However, she also experienced her first heartbreak when the young brunette's eyes found the fiery redhead known as Rebecca Grey. Though the beginning of their relationship was a little rocky, it would turn into one of the best experiences for Agnes as Rebecca helped to exposed Agnes to the rest of the world. They had their ups and downs, but as the years passed, it was always Rebecca who was at Agnes' side. But things change.
Opportunities came up for both the young students. Rebecca was accepted at school for her Master's across the sea and Agnes was deeply embedded in her schooling in New York. However, the two cared about one another far too much to impede on the other. They would split, amicably this time, and would wish the other luck and should their paths cross again, that door would remain open.
Agnes did her best to keep in contact with Rebecca, writing over the years. However, as time pressed on, the brunette found little and little time to keep up. She graduated from college with her degree in music. She lived as a freelance violinist, playing for little theater companies and such for a few years before she found herself joining a traveling symphony based out of California. It was scary for Agnes to move out there but it was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity and she took it.
A few years passed with Agnes traveling with her new group, a wonderful company of players, all of which were extremely understanding concerning Agnes' mutation. It was also here that Agnes would form a special bond with a lovely young harpist by the name of River Red Fish. The two became quick friends, usually sharing hotel rooms together when they were traveling with the company. It was no wonder that the two of them eventually began to fall in love. Both Agnes and River had a passion-filled affair, one that was only increased due to essentially always living on the road. However, opportunities would come to alter all that.
A permanent position in New York came up, Principal Second Violin for the New York Philharmonic. It was too good an opportunity to pass up. She applied and, to her surprise, she was accepted. Though River was happy working for their traveling symphony, she didn't want to give up with Agnes and the two left to settle in New York.
It has been only a few months since the two of them have moved to New York. It was surreal for Agnes to be back but she is slowly relearning all her old haunts. Sadly, there have been some issues since moving, as River is having a difficult time finding a job as a harpist and is making do as a freelance. Not wanting their relationship to turn sour, however, River did the only thing she could think of to help get the both of them excited about this venture -- she proposed. Agnes was surprised, of course, and despite feeling the small fractures in their relationship forming, she agreed.
For the last three months, Agnes has been living in New York, working as a violinist, and engaged to her lovely partner. She should be happy and, deep down, she believes she will get there. She can only hope that nothing will come up to challenge that belief.
Agnes life has certainly changed. After a failed rekindling with her former girlfriend, Rebecca Grey, Agnes left New York on a trek to find herself. Just as she was starting to settle into a new life, she was attacked by her parent’s church, the Church of the Everlasting Eye of God. After pursuing her all these years, the maniacs killed her. Agnes, not willing to die yet, bonded with her Hive Queen personality into something far more dangerous.
Now Agnes has returned to New York, twisted and ready to exact some revenge on humanity, as well as the lover who had put her in this predicament.
color=seagreen][UPDATE: 12/31/2019] Agnes herself doesn't now what happened. She remembers wandering through an alley, unsure of what happened, and finding her 18 year-old self seemingly in the wrong year? Did she time travel? She is very confused and is now seeking answers.
What she doesn't know is that her older self was just getting ready for a globe-trekking adventure in sex and wealth with a wealthy, older cougar who was looking for an attractive young woman to waste money and sex on. Meanwhile, Agnes herself was pulling together a plan to slowly get closer to this woman and kill her off to take inherit her fortunes. However it seemed that fate intervened as there was a commontion. People were chasing someone, she felt a slight piercing, and suddenly she wandered into an alley, struggling to breath. Her body changed and, before she knew it, she was wandering out with a much younger body and no idea what she was doing there. [/color]

Bookman Sample RP: Amidst the drops of dirty water, the whistle of the late night breeze and the scamper of trash and other multi-legged vermin across the ground, a soft and gentle sound sang out from the darkness. In the alley way, the brick walls, slimy with bacteria, days old sewage, and a reddish stain that most would pray to be little more than tomato juice, looked ominous. As if they held stories about the underbelly of New York the rest of the city refused to acknowledge. They held the tipped over trashcans, the scuttle of toothy rats as they foraged, and the buzzing flies as their sense of smell led them to their next grotesque meal, all things that the rest of the city refused to acknowledge. Another of these outcasts sat in a heap of rags at the very back end of the alley.
The rags, a patchwork cloak, breathed as a figure sat hunched over in a corner. Various tags gave clues to the sources of the material used for making the cape, which included Levi’s, Old Navy, even a Versace or two. But brand names did not matter to the young figure that it clothed. Instead she was more intent on the beat up styrofoam container in front of her. She sniffled as her gloved hands shakily opened it up to reveal the remains of half a cheeseburger that looked as if it had been stepped on.
A soft pink tongue licked dry, cracked lips, as her pale, thin fingers encircled the banquet. The smell of the more than likely rancid mayo never reached her nose as she held it up to her eager mouth and took a large bite. It was heaven to her to eat such a meal. She was lucky to have found it before trash collection came.
A little more at ease, she leaned back against the brick wall, ignore the drip drop of a leaky pipe somewhere off to her right and slipped back the hood of her cloak. She was a teenager, seventeen with a pale face and eyes that were weary and tired. Her hair was stringy, looked as if it had not been combed or cleaned in weeks. But she merely brushed it behind her ear as she took another healthy bite of her burger.
Squeak… came the pitiful sound somewhere in front of her.
She finally looked down to see a small rat. The furry, brown vermin held its twitchy nose into the air towards her and sniffed once…then twice…then raised its tiny paw.
She stared at it for the longest time before a very small smirk crossed her lips. She then broke off a small piece of the burger and rolled it in front of the rat.
“Go on,” she said with a sigh and downed the last bit of the burger. “You look like you need it more than me.”
The rat cautiously crept forward, then snatched up the meat before running off into a corner, disappearing behind more trash.
“You’re welcome,” she smiled as she relaxed back against her wall. A small sigh of sadness fluttered out from between her lips as she glanced off to the side and saw her black duffle bag. It held the last of her worldly possessions. One in particular she guarded with her life.
She reached over, unzipped the zipper and pulled out a long black leather case. It was cracked and covered with the remains of stickers that she no longer cared to see. After she unfastened the latches, she opened the case up to reveal a beautiful violin. It was the last thing to connect her to her previous life. Very carefully she set the violin on her shoulder and nuzzled it into position. Then, with a gentle swipe, she ran the bow across the tight strings.
The music was soft and sad, something that needed an escape from the gaping hole in her heart. With a sniffle she played on, and set the music to echo throughout those same brick walls that held so many of the secrets of New York. And in the same manner that it swallowed up secrets, the walls swallowed the girl’s sad music entitled “Agnes, Queen of the Vermin”.

Character
Personality: Ever since Agnes and the Brood Queen bonded, her personality has taken a drastic turn. Feeling betrayed by humanity and the life she worked so hard for ripped away, Agnes now seeks to end human life. However she does not kill wildly, she is a careful planner and keeps her baser wants under control. Still, she finds humans rather despicable, and some mutants too -- especially redheads.
Agnes is a seductress. She uses her body to distract, to get close to people, to break down their willpower. Having been ignored the majority of her life, Agnes now lavishes the attention that she gains, using it to her advantage. No longer is she the shy, quiet young woman that she once was; she has evolved.
Underneath it all, there is ony thing that drives Agnes, her need to make Rebecca Grey-Morris life a living hell. Her memories are somewhat mismatched since she bonded with the Hive Queen and, because of that, she blames Rebecca for a lot of what has happened to her. Therefore her goal is to be a persistent thorn in Becca’s side. It’s only fair, after all...

Morality
Good/ bad/ neutral/ other: Chaotic-Evil. Agnes doesn’t care for human life anymore. After bonding with the Hive Queen, she only wants to cause pain and misery to humanity and to any mutants who get in her way.
Mutations
Mutation description: Living Nest - Agnes has a strange and grotesque ability in which her body has become a home for various swarms of vermin. Inside her body she houses a swarm of roaches, flies, and hornets which she can release through her mouth. Once the swarm is released though, she does have to re-ingest them to restore those she loses. She does not mentally control these creatures, but in fact simply releases them and they defend her fiercely. To house these creatures, her mutation has altered her body to develop these specialized sacs inside of her chest where the swallowed insects are stored. Once inside, they remain in a sort of suspended animation until she releases them. While her insects are in suspended animation, their bodies are fed through nutrients the sacs they reside in provide. This seems adequate to keep them alive and want to defend her should she be in danger.
Strengths:
Insect Types She Houses: Dolichovespula – Yellowjackets - Standard type of yellow and black wasp. These pack a venomous stinger and when released are instantly aggressive. Total Number Housed: 30 (15 per sac) Musca domestica – Housefly – That are the standard housefly that can be seen rooting around garbage. Alone they are harmless, but these are some of Agnes most numerous flies. They create thick clouds that can be a true annoyance. Total Number Housed: 60 (30 per sac) Periplaneta americana – Cockroach – These creepy crawlers are not dangerous alone, but in a swarm and aggressive they can bite, overrun and just generally creep out anyone who gets in their way. Total Number Housed: 40 (20 per sac)
Defend the Nest: The insects she releases will defend her because for all intensive purposes, she is their nest and home, and will cause her no harm. Whenever they are released, that is a sign for them to be battle ready so they are instantly aggressive.
Insect Beacon: Her body has a special scent and feel to it so insects tend to flock around her, thus she has a supply of insects whenever she needs to restore her cache of insects.
Immunity to Insect Toxins: Because of the insects that are housed within her, her body as developed an immunity to the bacteria and toxins that these bugs tend to hold within them. Therefore if she was stung by a wasp, she would feel the pain, but there would be no after effects.
Call to Arms: When these insects are released her body releases a chemical that awakens them from their suspended animation. The chemical also acts like a call to arms, making all her bugs instantly aggressive and ready to harm whatsoever threatens their home (Agnes).
Weaknesses:
Hygiene: Because she houses all these creatures, she does smell vile, naturally since that is what these creatures thrive on. This tends to keep people away from her. [NOTE: Her scent is now only detected by those mutants with a heightened sense of smell]
Insect Consumption:If she loses any of her vermin, whether through battle or natural death, she must swallow others whole in order to replace them. This process is gross and if she has to do it, she does it alone.
No Insect Hivemind: She does not mentally control the swarms, they simply defend her as they would any nest. If they manage to get away from her, or she is knocked out while she they are released, they will wander away and seek a new home.
Only Familiar Insects: The insects she has in her body now, are the only ones who will protect her. She cannot pick up a millipede, swallow it and assume her body will house it. Her mutation is still too new and her body will not recognize the creature and instead pass it down into her digestive system. (Eww!) For now she can only house the Housefly, the Yellowjacket and Cockroaches since those were the first her body adapted to when her mutation developed.
Insect Beacon: Though it is good to have the insects always around in case she needs to consume more, they do follow her everywhere! Stores, restaurants, hotels, etc, if there are no air tight boundaries, her insects will find a way in.
Bug Sacs: The sacs that are inside of her chest are as sensitive as any organ. If Agnes receives a serious wound and any of these sacs are ruptured, it will take a lot of time for them to heal enough to hold insects again. And if bugs are in them if ruptured, the shock will kill them instantly and she will regurgitate them out of her body.
Power Growth:(11/04/2011) Insect Attributes Agnes' mutation has evolved to absorb and mimic the genetic information of the insects she houses. So far she has the ability to gain the wings of a housefly, the tough carapace of a cockroach, and the stingers of a wasp. Unfortunately Agnes can only gain one of these attributes at a time, never all together. To do so she must actually molt in-between gaining these physical changes.
Strengths:
Look Like a Bug: Agnes may gain one of three attributes that her body has evolved to accommodate: - Housefly – Wings – Agnes can grow a pair of housefly wings from her back which are equivalent to her size and are able to support her weight when she flies. Unfortunately they cannot support much more than that. At most she can carry maybe about 50 extra pounds of weight while in flight. In reference to speed, Agnes can fly anywhere between 30 – 35 mph and sustain flight for about 1 hour before she has to rest. Of course at first, Agnes will have to learn and develop her chest and back muscles in order to use her newfound wings effectively.
- Cockroach – Carapace – Agnes can develop a thick carapace of tough skin over her epidermis. This carapace is tough, but it is by no means bullet or knife proof. At most she can take some extra blunt force damage. For example, someone can swing a Louisville Slugger at her arm and it won’t break her arm. It’ll still hurt like hell though. With the carapace attribute Agnes’ skin takes on a slightly off-greenish color and looks a little more rigid than her normal skin.
- Yellowjacket – Stingers – A pair of retractable stingers, about three-inches long grow out from the palms of her hands. These stingers can deliver a non-lethal yet painful poison. It is an extremely weak version of the same wasp venom that the insect already houses. When Agnes delivers it, though, the serves as enough of a painful distraction for her to get away. She only has enough venom for four good stings though. After that she just has pokers in her palms under her body produces more venom which can take up to two days.
Lure of the Queen: Because of her bug attributes, more insects of the same type will be attracted to Agnes' call.
Weaknesses:
Look Like a Bug: Along with the strengths of her attributes, do come the weaknesses… - Housefly – Wings – While Agnes can grow a pair of wings, they can also be highly fragile. If the wings are punctured or broken, they are proven useless until she molts again and therefore has a new set of wings. Also these wings do not retract back into her body. She can bend them neatly against her back but other than that, they stay on her body until she molts to remove them.
- Cockroach – Carapace – This thick layer of skin can prove resilient to some blunt force trauma but it is of no good again a knives or guns. She can still feel pain from blunt force damage but if the carapace is damaged, it stays that way. It will not heal until she molts into a new carapace. Also this attribute does restrict her maneuverability and lowers her speed and reaction time. It also does deaden some of the senses on her skin where the carapace is.
- Yellowjacket – Stingers – She has a limited amount of venom she can release with these stingers. At most she has about four good stings before they are little more than barbs on her hands.
Molting…Ew…: In order for Agnes to access these abilities, she must first molt. This is a 24-hour process in which she sheds her outer layer of skin in order to reveal the new form underneath. How this is done is that Agnes’ skin begins to take on a thin, gray-like hue making her look sickly. Agnes then has to sleep for the process to continue which means that the skin hardens into a shell for her to break out of. Once she is done molting, the newest attribute has appeared right away, but it also leaves Agnes fairly exhausted for another 24-hours. Therefore she cannot shift between attributes on the fly (no pun intended). This also leaves a full size, translucent dead shell of Agnes behind that she must discard which…can just be gross.
Forced to Molt: Agnes may chose to keep an ability she gains, but must molt at least 30 days after her last molting stage. What this means is that Agnes cannot say, keep fly wings for the rest of her life. After a month, her body undergoes a molting stage with or without her say and she switches into the next attribute in the cycle.
Attribute Cycle: Agnes unfortunately cannot summon each individual attribute at will. There is an attribute cycle that follows: Wings – Carapace – Stingers. What this means is that if Agnes currently has the Carapace attribute and wants the Wings attribute, she must molt first into the Stinger phase and then molt again into the Wing phase.
Suggaaaaaaaaaarrr…!: Because of her new found attributes, Agnes, when getting close to molting, will crave a lot of sugar. This is a requirement for her body to handle the stresses of molting, which will take a toll on her. In compensation for her need to feed and lack of energy, her body will immediately crave sugar before she goes into the process so Agnes will have to drop whatever she is going to consume. Thankfully none of this sugar will be processed into fat and will instead be dispersed in order to create the shell she must break out of, but still…it’s inconvenient.
Power Growth: (11/04/12) Increased Capacity / New Insects Agnes body has housed so many insects that her mutation has now evolved to include more. Whereas before she only stored insects in special sacs situation inside of her chest, now her body has altered to include similar sacs that fit in both of her forearms (running from the elbow down to her wrists), and in her legs (from the knees down). In order for insects to have quick access to these new housings, her body has developed specialized slits that run for the length of her forearm and from her knees down. These slits will only open for insects and cannot be opened in any other way. Thankfully they are invisible to the naked eye. On top of this, because of the evolution of her body in include more insects, she will now be able to attract two more types of insect to her body:centipedes and ants.
Strengths:
New Insects She Houses: Scolopendra gigantean – Amazonian Giant Centipede – These large centipedes are extremely poisonous and dangerous. But because of their rarity and size, Agnes only can house two at a time. They are some of her most loyal creatures. Total Number Housed: 2 (1 per arm) Formicidae – Army Ant – Just the basic type of ant. The most important feature of it, though, is its ability to swarm. Because they are so small and crowd together, these are the largest amounts of insects she can hold. Total Number Housed: 400 (200 per leg)
New Look Like a Bug: Centipede – Legs – As the name suggests, Agnes gains hundreds of tiny, pincer-like legs that run along the sides and palms of her hands and fingers, as well as on her feet. The use of these extra legs is that they are so tiny, they work in unison and allow her to scale vertical surfaces and cling onto walls that have porous surfaces. These legs, when working together, are strong enough to hold up her body weight. Ant – Antenna – The long, segmented antennae pop out of the top of Agnes’ head and can bend forward and back. The black antennae can pick up the scents of her fellow insects, allow her to follow their invisible trails, even communicate more easily with them.
Weaknesses:
New Bug Sacs: These new insect containers, in her forearms and legs, are closer to the bone and surface, and therefore are most sensitive and prone to being damaged as opposed to the ones inside her chest. If the sacs are ruptured, she must wait until they heal fully before she can accept insects there.
New Look Like a Bug: Centipede – Legs – The main weakness of all these legs is that they are just creepy. She cannot retract them. At most she can fold them flat, but it still leaves her sense of a touch a little muddled since it is like weaving a glove only over the palm of her hand and bottoms of her fingers. Also, if she lose any (they snap off, are burned off, etc.), not only will it be harder to hold up her weight, but she will have to wait until she molts again to regain the full number. Ant – Antenna – Though they are tough, they are extremely sensitive. If they are tugged, cut, forcefully removed, it will hurt a extreme amount. On top of that, like many of her features, she cannot retract these antenna, they are there until she molts again.
Power Growth: (04/22/17) Hive Queen Form Agnes has reached the final stage of her evolution into the perfect hosts for insects. Dubbed, ”The Hive Queen”, Agnes has the ability to shift at will into a terrifying half-insect / half-humanoid. While in this form, Agnes has access to all of her physical mutations, including a thick carapace, stingers, wings, as well as the ability to produce a previously unknown parasite called Agnesiparasitus cerebrum (The Agnes Brain Parasite). While in this form, Agnes is lethal, less like the young woman most know her as. Strengths:
Strengthened Body: This form actually affords Agnes with a plethora of abilities. She has access to all her physical mutations which include: stingers (filled with venom), wings (so she can fly), antennae (communication with her insects and enhanced sense of smell), thick carapace (strong enough to shrug off a lead pipe swung into her), and insect legs (planted on the pads of her feet and her palms so she can climb walls)
Agnesiparasitus cerebrum: While only in this form, Agnes’s body can produce a microscopic parasite. It can only be administered into insects via her coming in contact with her blood. Once inside the parasites immediately make for the brain and nervous system of the infected bugs; once infected, the insects fall under Agnes’ control. This increases the ranks of her army of insects so she will no longer only have those within her body under control.
Prehensile Limbs: You can’t be an insect with only four limbs. Thanks to her Hive Queen form, Agnes forms four, long prehensile limbs that jut out from her back like spider legs. However, these limbs are tipped with four large spines, capable of stabbing, slashing, and clinging onto surfaces.
Fierce Defenders: When Agnes shifts into her Hive Queen form, the insects that dwell in her body become extremely protective. Their aggression is heightened and they are more willing to sacrifice their lives to protect her. They will even straight out attack Agnes’ allies and require firmer commands from her to pull them back.
Insta-Molting: Unlike her previous forms that she has to cycle through, the Hive Queen is a somewhat instantaneous form that doesn’t have a place in her regular molting cycle. If Agnes finds herself in a completely dire situation (fearful, angry, life on the line), she will activate the sleeping Hive Queen within. By tearing off her skin, Agnes unveils the insect queen inside. When she calms and makes the decision to return to her human form, the insect carapace withers away, revealing a nude Agnes inside.
Altered Thinking: Agnes Nicholas is usually quite timid. However should she be pushed to the point that the Hive Queen appears, Agnes has a very different and much more confident outlook. First and foremost she cares only about the survival of her insects and insect-kind. Second she is more deadly, willing to kill without thought if she believes she is right. And lastly she can be seductive, choosing to seduce her minions however she sees fit.
Weaknesses:
Wounding, Harm, Death: Despite the enhanced capabilities, Agnes can still be wounded and/or killed, it just takes more. Guns, finely sharpened swords, energy, etc., all of that can still kill Agnes in her Brood Mother form if they can pierce her carapace.
Stressful Shifting: Agnes won’t be able to shift into the Hive Queen at form at will. It requires her adrenaline to spike in an extremely terrifying or life or death situation. Only when extremely stressed will Agnes be able to shift into the Hive Queen.
Survival of the Strongest: While in this form, Agnes has a mentality that only the strong survive. She is all about the survival of insects and maintaining, even growing beyond, their place in the world. This puts her at odds with people who would normally be considered friends as Agnes doesn’t really see friends from enemies any more, and only acts against threats to the hive.
Monstrous Appearance: Her Hive Queen form is not an easy thing to look act. She is a mismatch of insects in a humanoid shape and that makes her quite terrifying. People who are not used to her, even those that are, will run screaming as she embodies the nightmares of every man, woman, and child.
In Need of Convincing: Becoming the Hive Queen greatly alters Agnes’ thinking. She cares only about the hive and her subjects and is extremely neutral considering anything else. Because of this she loses interest in her human side and at times can see no point in returning to it. She needs to be convinced to reach for her humanity to transform back, or she could choose to stay this way for as long as she likes.
Painful Transition: Shifting between forms is not a simple or pleasurable task. Unlike her molting cycle where Agnes cocoons herself and transforms slowly, the instantaneous transformation is actually very painful. When Agnes, the Hive Queen form lies underneath her skin and she is compelled to rip it away to release her. When shifting from Hive Queen to Agnes, her carapace withers and becomes a husk that she breaks through to reveal the nude young woman inside. Time is required between shifting as it exhausts her.
Fighting Style
Explanation: Scrapper. This mainly consists of a punch to the nose, a kick to the shin (between the legs for men), and then running as fast as she can the other way. Pros for fighting style: She is fast and she can kick her leg out pretty hard. Cons for fighting style: It is not so much of a style as a means to run away.
Faction Allegiance Unaffiliated
[UPDATE: 10/18/2017] Agnes life has certainly changed.
Roleplay Where did you learn about this site?: Search on Bing Do you have any other characters on MRO, if so who:Jorge Cervantes & Booker B.

Appearance
Hair color and style:Brown hair that hangs medium length. Eyes: Blue Height:5’5 Build:Very Thin to the point that she looks sickly, but she actually is quite athletic. Visible mutation: Nothing physical on her body, but normally insects are always around her. Scars/ Tattoos/ Piercings:She has pierced ears, but her body does have a couple scars. Ever since the incident at Abraham High School she has been mistreated by her parents. She has a couple of knife wounds from ritual cuttings, a belt lash mark across her back, and a large cross branded (burned) into her stomach. [NOTE: Sebastian cured Agnes of all of her scars Here on Janurary 6th, 2012.] Other features:There is a constant smell of trash or insects around her. This smell is to the point that she is constantly chewing on gum or mints whenever she gets the opportunity to have them. [NOTE: Her scent is now only detected by those mutants with a heightened sense of smell, however the scent is more alluring now, like warm honey.]
Everyday clothing style:These mainly consist of clothing she ran away from home with. They consist of the normal blues jeans and cute tops (usually in earthy shades of green, blue and brown). Though since she has been on the run, they are torn, dirty and crudely patched up here and there. Uniform: N/A Sleepwear:When she has a bed, her sleepwear is simply a pair of extra baggy sweat pants and a long sleeved shirt. Normally these are men sizes so she swims in these. Miscellaneous clothing:Having been on the streets, she has sewn together a patchwork cloak that hides her face and her body. It is brown with various patches of different types of material that is stained, worn, and frayed throughout.
Character
Personality: Agnes was raised in a very religious household which she grew to despise after her mutation came about. She dislikes overly religious people because to her they are little more than frauds. It is obvious to say that she has some bitterness and is just a little jaded with life. She used to be the happy, smart, righteous, “catholic-school-girl” type, but now she just holds a lot of anger towards the world. She sees the seediness, the dark corners and the secrets that people hide in their trash, and now sees herself as a revealer of such. She would rather speak to the roaches and rats in her alleyways than any human or mutant.
Hobbies/ Interests:Agnes used to be an avid, but secret, comic book reader and had a massive collection that her brother helped to develop. Unfortunately after she left home, she left her entire collection there except for one. She also loves music and plays the violin. On top of that, for now, she simply spends her time rooting through trash and talking to the vermin of the alleys. Job or part time job and description: June 15, 2011 - October 1, 2012 = Gardener for Xavier's Mansion December 1, 2012 - January 1, 2014 = Gardener / Cashier at Ms. Pott's Flower Bed February 19, 2014 - August 6, 2014 = Freelance Violinist November 5, 2014 - October 1, 2016 = Violinist for the Little Traveling Symphony October 22, 2016 - Current = Principal Second Violin for the New York Philharmonic [Updated: 1/25/2017] Fears/ phobias/ concerns:Agnes has two great fears, the first being that her family will eventually find her and force her back home. The second fear comes from not wanting anyone to be near her. She has been ridiculed enough from family and former friends because of her mutation and she wants nothing to do with them. Special talents:Agnes, though on the streets now, is still a proficient violinist. At times there will be strangely sad music coming from the deepest of alleys, but she disappears before she is discovered. On top of being brilliant at music, she is very smart (being a former straight A student), knows how to cook and especially how to sew.
Morality
Good/ bad/ neutral/ other: Neutral. She doesn’t care about morality one way or the other anymore. So long as people leave her alone, she will leave the business of other people alone. But if provoked, she will defend herself either with her intelligent or with diseased riddled back hand.
Mutations
Temporary Mutation: Unicorn blood -- self healer (speed = 2), temporary effect until approximately December, 2012. Part of the Oracle Plot. (Agnes received this gift in July 2012
- Yellowjacket – Stingers – A pair of small stingers, about one-inches long grow out from the palms of her hands.
- Yellowjacket – Stingers – Unfortunately, these stingers to not retract and stick out about one-inch from the palms of her hands. The stingers refuse to pierce her own skin, but anyone else she happens to be hugging, or patting them on the back, or simply handshakes, will leave them in intense pain. Also she had a limited amount of venom she can release with these stingers. At most she has about four good stings before they are little more than barbs on her hands and won’t vanish until she molts.
Power Growth: (04/22/17) Brood Mother Form Agnes has reached the final stage of her evolution into the perfect hosts for insects. Dubbed, ”The Brood Mother”, Agnes has the ability to shift at will into a terrifying half-insect / half-humanoid.
Thanks to her Brood Mother form, Agnes forms four, long prehensile limbs that jut out from her back like spider legs. However, these limbs are tipped with four large spines, capable of stabbing, slashing, and clinging onto surfaces.
Fierce Defenders: When Agnes shifts into her Brood Mother form, the insects that dwell in her body become extremely protective. Their aggression is heightened and they are more willing to sacrifice their lives to protect her. They will even straight out attack Agnes’ allies and require firmer commands from her to pull them back.
Insta-Molting: Unlike her previous forms that she has to cycle through, the Brood Mother is a somewhat instantaneous form that doesn’t have a place in her regular molting cycle. If Agnes finds herself in a completely dire situation (fearful, angry, life on the line), she will activate the sleeping Brood Mother within. By tearing off her skin, Agnes unveils the insect queen inside. When she calms and makes the decision to return to her human form, the insect carapace withers away, revealing a nude Agnes inside.
Altered Thinking: Agnes Nicholas is usually quite timid. However should she be pushed to the point that the Brood Mother appears, Agnes has a very different and much more confident outlook.
Stressful Shifting: Agnes won’t be able to shift into the Brood Mother at form at will. It requires her adrenaline to spike in an extremely terrifying or life or death situation. Only when extremely stressed will Agnes be able to shift into the Brood Mother.
Monstrous Appearance: Her Brood Mother form is not an easy thing to look act. She is a mismatch of insects in a humanoid shape and that makes her quite terrifying. People who are not used to her, even those that are, will run screaming as she embodies the nightmares of every man, woman, and child.
In Need of Convincing: Becoming the Brood Mother greatly alters Agnes’ thinking.
When Agnes, the Brood Mother form lies underneath her skin and she is compelled to rip it away to release her. When shifting from Brood Mother to Agnes, her carapace withers and becomes a husk that she breaks through to reveal the nude young woman inside.

Roleplay Where did you learn about this site?: Search on Bing Do you have any other characters on MRO, if so who:Jorge CervantesBooker B. BookmanAkshay Malik Sample RP: Amidst the drops of dirty water, the whistle of the late night breeze and the scamper of trash and other multi-legged vermin across the ground, a soft and gentle sound sang out from the darkness.
Oh wow, Jorge, I think Agnes and Ahorta will not interact very nicely at all, hahaha. I think I've now got to create a word for Ahorta's new found phobia of Agnes: Agnephobia! Nice character!
