The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

So….yeah. The conversation had already been had that Agnes would be moving out of the mansion to spend a one year, requirement to live in the dorms at Julliard. It was hard news to break to Gina but her sister seemed to be taking it rather well!
That is…until the day pressed closer and closer. Agnes could catch a sniffle now and then but it was quickly swept way for a brilliant smile and a change of subject. But, deep down, Agnes knew all along that this was going to be drastic change for the pair of them. It would have been silly to think that either of them could go through this without shedding a tear or two. Agnes herself had broken down once or twice (not in front of Gina of course) when she thought about how much everything was going to change.
But, in the end, this was important for her life. She knew that could do this, because she wanted to do it. She was finally going to be chasing her own, real dream. And though some changes were going to hurt, it didn’t mean they were going to last forever.
After all, it was not like she could hole herself up at the mansion for the remainder of her life, could she?
So, the plan had been set, she and Gina would spend at least one more day together, just them, doing sisterly things and hanging out. It was a good plan; a good plan that hopefully wouldn’t involve too many tears.
Agnes signed as she stepped off the bus and stood in front of Central Park. She had planned this day herself and had been thinking that maybe, a trip to the zoo would be in order. After all, that was how they first met. She smiled as she remembered that; standing in an alley, watching as a poor and confused Regina Gina stood there, looking utterly lost and confused. If she had known then that this was how things were going to turn out…she would have only been too happy to do it all over again; after all, she got a sister.
Stepping off the bus and moving off to the sidewalk, she smiled as she waited for Gina to join her. Her own, insect-like wings fluttered briefly before she pressed them down against her back. She was actually a bit excited about this since she hadn’t told Gina where they were going. She hoped that her sister would get the reference when she finally spotted that they were going to the zoo.
A small black purse sat idly on her shoulder as she tucked her pale hands inside of the pockets of her dark blue jeans. The pink top ( which was covered with artist swirls, roses and ribbons), she wore seemed to accentuate her form perfectly and had been sewed in the best manner to allow room for her wings. She smiled when her blue eyes had finally settled upon Gina following her off the bus.
“Come on, sis,” she beamed. “Can’t waste the day.”
She hoped that Gina would forgive her for waking her up so early to take part in this day. Thankfully the allure of chocolate for breakfast had been enough to get her onto the bus. Now she was going to have to find a good coffee cart that sold mocha frappacinos.

This was the greatest downfall of having your roommate—and best friend—be older than you. Gina was still high school age, and Agnes (being a few years older) was looking towards college. There were some college kids that continued to reside at Xavier’s, so when Agnes had announced that she was going to Julliard, Gina had been, initially, delighted for her sister. Then, there was the stipulation—freshmen had to live in the dormitories. Agnes would be moving out.
For her sister’s sake, Gina didn’t voice her disappointment. Stuff like this was going to happen, whether Gina wanted it to happen or not, and it wasn’t like Agnes was going to go away forever. She was still in the city, they could still hang out. They just wouldn’t room together.
Gina handled the news well enough, but once in a while, the realization would hit her, and she’d get a little teary-eyed, too. The day together was a good thing—a nice little “last hoorah” before Agnes packed-up and headed out. Gina stepped artlessly off of the bus after her sister, turning her body sideways to avoid getting jostled too much. She hated buses, but traveling separately would have been really awkward. Besides which, the gargoyle didn’t know where they were headed. She was merely told that the outing required no more than casual dress, and that the destination was a surprise.
The gargoyle toted a small pop tab purse, and donned a pair of jeans, and a tank top that was gathered by a band in the back, making it well-suited for her own wings. Her flyaway curls were subdued by a ponytail, and her face was set in a grin.
Agnes called out to her, and the gargoyle jogged closer, stumbling slightly as she was about to loop her arm through Agnes’s. Gina righted herself, and then looped her arm through her sisters, all grins.
“I’m still have no idea what’s going on,” Gina laughed. It was true. She didn’t know New York well enough, from the ground. She knew it from the air, and right now, she was rather turned-around, “Can’t I, y’know, go up? Just for a second?”
Allowing Gina to go airborne, even briefly, was like allowing a child to peek into a Christmas present. It was kind-of cheating, but Gina would still try and get a sneak-peek. All she needed was an aerial view, then Gina would know where they were. One look and she could hazard some pretty good guesses as to where they were going.
Agnes smirked when Gina finally managed to make her way off to the bus. She knew how much Gina hated to have to take cramped bus but it was, by far, their best option if she wanted to keep their destination a surprise. Gina was a damn good flyer and she knew the city so well; she simply couldn’t risk having her know what was coming up. But, she would make up for it by saying that they could fly home together. One last flight ought to do them both a world of good.
>> “I’m still have no idea what’s going on…Can’t I, y’know, go up? Just for a second?”
Her a grin and a shake of her head, Agnes sent her brunette hair cascading about her shoulders as she replied with a “no.” Yes, Gina did deserve something for having been in that long bus ride, but not a flight. She knew that Gina was sly enough to use that as a excuse to take a cheating peek. The little devil.
“Nope!” she smirked. “But, don’t worry, we can fly home when we’re done.”
She nodded firmly as she turned her eyes onto Gina. It was so funny how things had turned out. When she had met Gina, she was definitely not in the market for a little sister. But…that was just how things turned out. First with a lost meeting, then the mansion, then the plethora of misadventures they had together; it was enough to want to make Agnes a little misty eyed. She had been roommates with Gina for almost two years now and in that time she had touched a place in Agnes’ heart that she didn’t think anyone ever would again.
Feeling the arm around her waist, she smiled as she wrapped her arm around Gina’s shoulders. She gave her sister and squeeze as she began to lead her to a coffee cart where they would get some sustenance for the long day that she had planned. She really did hope that Gina would like it.
Her jean clad hip nudged Gina as they loomed closer to the car.
“Order whatever you want,” she said with smile. “Today is on me and you need to be awake..”

Gina cursed Agnes playfully as her sister foiled her plans of going skyward to see where they were, casually offering to let them fly home after their day was through.
“Sounds good,” Gina agreed. It wasn’t that she didn’t want to fly, it was just that her whole purpose of asking about going skyward was to get a peek of where they were. And Agnes knew what Gina’s intent was, and had foiled her plans—how rude. How sisterly.
Agnes led the gargoyle towards a coffee cart, her hip bumping Gina’s lightly.
>> “Order whatever you want. Today is on me and you need to be awake..”
Gina giggled, “You want me awake, so you’re going to caffeinate me. I hope where we going isn’t enclosed, Aggs, or you’re going to have to peel me off of the walls.”
The line inched forward slowly, and when they reached the front, Gina looked towards her sister, briefly, before voicing her order.
“May I please have… a medium mocha freeze… and a…” she looked towards the plastic display of baked goods, “Chocolate croissant?”
There was a gruff affirmative from the man who was working the cart, and Gina gave a light word of thanks.
>> “You want me awake, so you’re going to caffeinate me. I hope where we going isn’t enclosed, Aggs, or you’re going to have to peel me off of the walls.”
Agnes smirked and confirmed with a shake of her head that they were going nowhere enclosed. At least she didn’t think so. If Gina wanted to see some of the attractions that were indoors, that was her issue, but for the most part, the majority of the attractions were on the outside so Agnes didn’t predict there to be any problems.
“You’ll be fine,” she smiled brightly. She then stood back and waited for Gina to make the first order.
>> “May I please have… a medium mocha freeze… and a…Chocolate croissant?”
Agnes smiled as she turned her attention away too look at the greenery that surrounded her. The trees were high, the smell of the end of summer was in the air, and already she could feel the smallest crisp of cold as it wafted by with the breeze. Agnes felt truly relaxed, and happy for once, as she stood there and watched as the gentleman turned to prepare Gina’s order. She really had to marvel at how much her life had changed in just two short years. She never thought that all this would have been possible.
She sighed and turned back after the man finished writing down the order and gave Agnes an inquiring look.
“Miss?”
“Oh, yes,” Agnes started as she glanced at the menu. “I’ll have the medium caramel freeze and the old fashion doughnut? And, please, put the orders together?”
The man gave another gruff grunt of acceptance and turned to start work on both of the orders. It seemed that he was acknowledging the fact that he was having an interesting day already: first a walking, talking gargoyle girl, and then another girl with insect-wings! The stories he would have to tell Cheryl once he gets home.
With the man turned, Agnes smiled as she turned back to face Gina. Sadly, she really seemed at a loss for things to say. She didn’t want the conversation to be forced, but she felt that if she didn’t at least attempt at some conversation, that things would grow too awkwardly quiet between the two of them. After all, this their last day as roommates and the last thing that Agnes wanted was to keep reminding Gina of that by allowing them both to dwell too long in silence.
So, she squared her shoulders and attempted to find her voice.
“So, ugh,” she thought for a moment. “How’re the classes this semester? Not kicking your tail I hope.”

The gargoyle stepped aside when she was finished with voicing her order, turning, with a smile, to face her sister and to let her step forward to the counter. The air was abnormally cold, and the sounds of the street sounded far away—but such was the effect of being at total ease with the day. Agnes made her order while Gina fussed with her outfit, adjusting her shirt, before the two stepped aside to wait.
Things had been quiet—it was a given that Agnes would move-out eventually, that the gargoyle might be confronted with a new roommate, and so-on, and it was hard for Gina. Sure, Agnes would still be in-town, but it didn’t change the fact that they wouldn’t living together anymore. thus was the dilemma of Being the youngest in your group of friends. Your friends moved-on before you did, so you had to make new friends, or find ways to stay in-touch with the old. Or both.
>> “So, ugh… How’re the classes this semester? Not kicking your tail I hope.”
“Classes are alright,” Gina answered Genuinely, “So far, anyways. They haven’t really gotten into the more serious assignments yet, though… we’ll see.”
Gina chuckled, her tail swishing absently as she watched her sister.
“Are you ready for the big move?” Gina inquired. She’d already dealt with relocation once—at Least Agnes was only going across the city, rather than cross-country.
The blender rang in Agnes’ ears as she stood off to the side with her sister, waiting for their drinks to be made and their pastries to be heated up. As they did, Agnes tried her hand at a conversation, hoping that their day wouldn’t descend into a cloud of awkward silences and dime-store conversations. She had to hope that things were going to be okay between them and that no amount of distance was going to change that. Agnes was not about to give up her sister, and she really and truly hoped that Gina knew that.
>> “Classes are alright…So far, anyways. They haven’t really gotten into the more serious assignments yet, though… we’ll see.”
“Haha, I’m sure you’ll be just fine.”
Agnes smirked and nodded. Gina always stressed but she managed to pass her classes just fine. She had no fear that her little sister was going to do just fine. Hey, she may do even better since now she wouldn’t have to worry about taking off nights to watch over Agnes while she molted, nor would she have to deal with her terrible sugar cravings.
Also, having the room to herself shouldn’t be half bad either! If anything, Agnes’ leaving was only going to blessing. Not really a burden.
>> “Are you ready for the big move?”
Agnes sighed. She had to admit that she was not 100% ready. She was a little scared because she really just didn’t know how she was going to manage. First being away from the only home she had known that offered her a chance, second because she would be away from Gina, and third (and this was a big one) because she was also going to be so far away from Rebecca. Deep down, she knew that if their relationship wasn’t meant to be, then distance would be the proving grounds of that. But, she really wanted it to be meant to be.
Shoulders slumped but she still carried a smile on her face.
“Terrified.” she admitted. “But…I’ll manage.”
“Order up!”
Agnes turned and collected the two drinks and bags of pastries from the man. After paying him, she turned back around to face Gina and offered her her drink and croissant.
“Here you go my love,” she said as she handed over Gina’s drink with a pleasant grin upon her features. “Now, follow me,” she said with a sly smile as she continued to sip her drink.
Casually she led Gina deeper into Central Park. Sipping at her own freeze and nibbling on the edges of her doughnut, she sighed a little as she caught the sights and smells of the ending summer all around them. The leaves were already beginning to turn and one could almost catch the crisp cool smell in the air. She smiled as she glanced over to Gina; she had been meaning to ask her something for awhile now, ever since a certain sister went on a date with a certain reptile-boy on campus. Now seemed like the perfect time to strike.
“So…” she casually started, attempting to disarm her with her nonchalant attitude. “Seen…Koga lately?” she asked, gently sucking the whipped cream off of her straw and looking devilish at the same time.

>> “Terrified. But…I’ll manage.”
“You’ll be fine,” the gargoyle assured her sister, smiling, “Besides which, you’ll still be in-town. You can’t get rid of Becca and I that easily.”
Gina was an intuitive little devil, and she shouldered Agnes lightly. She was literally a short flight from Xavier’s, and a few bus rides. Gina was going to miss not having her sister right there to talk to, right in the very same room—but it was a hard fact of growing-up. Gina had internalized that she, too, would eventually have to move-on, and that part of growing up was slowly growing apart. That didn’t mean they’d never see each other, and never talk, ever again.
>> “Here you go my love. Now, follow me.”
“Thanks,” Gina grinned, sipping the drink casually as they sauntered. They gradually made their way into the park, the gargoyle’s gaze sweeping over her surroundings. She was trying to pick-out their ultimate destination, but without avail. There was too much to do within the park. It was peaceful and quiet, and a lovely walk to share with her sister—Gina would be perfectly content to just share a stroll and nothing more, for the company of her sister was plenty.
>> “So… seen…Koga lately?”
Agnes’s casual speaking-up snagged Gina’s attention, and the gargoyle looked up with a faint, inquiring hum. As the inquiry continued, Gina found herself smiling, her cheeks coloring. Oh, him? Agnes was prying for details, and Gina decided that she’d be casual and nonchalant in response—perhaps, even, annoyingly cryptic. The color in her cheeks, however, was undeniable.
“Oh, uh, I’ve seen him around, yeah,” Gina replied. Okay, perhaps that was not the smoothest way of skirting around the subject. Gina smirked at that realization and chuckled, “I mean, um, no more dates, but… I’ve seen him around.”
The gargoyle got a little flustered just thinking about him, for no real reason in particular. He was sweet, and he was gentleman, but they’d only shared a kiss or two, and nothing passionate or risqué, by any means.
>> “Oh, uh, I’ve seen him around, yeah…I mean, um, no more dates, but… I’ve seen him around.”
Agnes had to smirk a bit at Gina’s attempt to be cryptic and mysterious. She could see through her sister as if she were a piece of saran wrap. The gargoyle blushed and the runaway had to smirk a little at the thought. She sincerely loved her sister and only wanted her to be happy. Koga seemed like a nice enough boy (extremely polite!) and he had already passed her own initial test. The two made a cute couple, even if she had only seen them together once.
Apparently other dates had yet to occur but Agnes wasn’t worried about. Anyone who saw Koga around Gina could tell that he was definitely interested in here. One time, when she had been studying in the library, she watched Koga watching Gina enter the room. She smirked and said nothing though and simply continued her work. But it was a good sign.
Now, if only the two of them could stop dragging their feet and actually have more than one date, they could double up!
Agnes smirked at the thought of an evening consisting of herself, Rebecca, Gina, and Koga…poor boy. He would be in for quite a shock; but she was sure he could take it just fine.
She nudged her sister with a grin.
“Ah, I’m sure he’ll come calling again,” she beamed. “Why shouldn’t he? You’re too pretty to pass up.”
She grinned as she rounded a corner and eyed Gina. The zoo could be seen in the distance. If Gina didn’t know where they were heading yet, then she didn’t know how much clearer she could make it. She could always just come out at say it, but where’s the fun in that? Instead, she only smiled as they continued on towards the zoo.

>> “Ah, I’m sure he’ll come calling again. Why shouldn’t he? You’re too pretty to pass up.”
Gina chuckled and blushed, batting a hand at her sister.
“Oh, stop you,” Gina said coyly. Agnes was possibly—okay, probably—right. But still, Gina was bashful and oh-so easy to tease. And Agnes would be certain to do so. Gina looked around, her eyes trying to seek-out where it was that they could possibly be going.
The only problem was that the zoo blocked-out her ability to see things on the ground-plane, which was proving to be an inconvenience. Where the heck were they going?! If only Agnes would let her fly, only for a little while. Then Gina could try figuring out where they were going.
Then, it dawned on her. Gina gasped.
“Are we going to the zoo?!” she asked, practically bouncing with the excitement of her realization, “Are we, are we?!”
Agnes grinned. She was being playful with her sister but she was also being extremely truthful. She really did believe that Gina was a beautiful young girl and any guy would be lucky to win her heart. Sure she had the wings, talons, and grayish skin of a gargoyle, but they were pretty. On top of that, Gina had such an inner light about her that someone would have to be a fool to only focus on these that they believed were not conventionally pretty.
Koga definitely seemed like a nice guy and Agnes had no problem trusting him with her (he was such a gentlemen). She was also sure that he would make his way back to Gina for another date. Obviously! He’d be a fool otherwise.
The insect queen smirked as she continued along. The zoo was fully in view now and she knew that Gina must have made some kind of connection about it be now. At least she hoped so. It was a hard thing to miss.
It only took a moment of Gina looking before Agnes spotted those dots connected. She had to smile…
>> “Are we going to the zoo?! Are we, are we?!”
“We are!” Agnes beamed proudly. “When we first met, I remember you were carrying that stuffed tiger from here. I figured,” she shrugged a little dismissively, “I figured it would be a good way to usher in this change in our lives. Maybe we can get matching stuffed animals!”
Agnes had to smile at the thought. She loved her sister and knew that they would love each other forever.

>> “We are! When we first met, I remember you were carrying that stuffed tiger from here. I figured… I figured it would be a good way to usher in this change in our lives. Maybe we can get matching stuffed animals!”
“Ah!” Gina gasped and promptly began bouncing, smiling openly. She had a childlike infatuation with the zoo, and the fact that both she and Agnes were going there excited her thoroughly. Agnes feigned nonchalance, and the gargoyle made no attempt to contain her excitement. They were going to the zoo. The zoo! Gina loved the zoo! And they’d get matching stuffed-animals too.
“That sounds awesome,” Gina replied, “This is going to be so much fun!”
It took an incredible amount of effort for Gina to not run for the front gate and drag Agnes along with her, and the gargoyle was far of jitters from the effort.
>> “Ah! That sounds awesome…This is going to be so much fun!”
Agnes had to grin at Gina’s response. She had expected nothing less from her sweet sister. Gina was just a bundled ball of energy that she simply could not help to be excited around. Though it was going to be quite a change to not be living in the same building, much less the same room as the young gargoyle, Agnes knew that it was a necessary change. They couldn’t be attached at the hip forever, right?
But that didn’t mean they couldn’t enjoy at least one more day before the big shift happened.
With a grin, Agnes felt herself being tugged along but Gina was being more than cautious about it. Obviously she was excited but she managed to subdue it just enough so that she didn’t tear her sister’s arm off. Agnes had to smirk as she wrapped her arm around the gargoyle’s shoulders and gave her a squeezing hug.
“It is!” Agnes bellowed with a laugh. “Come on! Let see what this zoo has to offer to fine young ladies like us!”
Agnes smiled as she took a sip of drink and led the way to the zoo entrance. Of course she would take care of the zoo admission (since this whole outing was pretty much her treat), and once she had tickets in hand, she would allow Gina to lead her wherever she wanted. It didn’t matter to her what they saw today, so long as they saw it together…

Zoos were good at bringing out Gina’s inner kid. She couldn’t help but be excited, about all the animals that they were about to see. About spending a day with her sister. She was just excited overall.
The medium mocha freeze, which was nearly wholly consumed by now, might have also been to blame. But, that was besides the point. Gina could barely sit still long enough for Agnes to hug her, before Agnes verbally urged her onward.
>> “It is! Come on! Let see what this zoo has to offer to fine young ladies like us!”
“Okay!” Gina agreed lightheartedly, linking arms with her sister as they approached the front gates. Gina slipped past Agnes and lingered just behind her as her sister paid for the tickets. The man at the ticket counter stamped their hands, and the two of them were free to go. Gina skipped ahead, leaping to a stop and spinning to face her sister.
“We should go see the flamingos,” Gina said, bouncing excitedly, “And the reptile house! Oo, oo, and the tigers—no wait, no, the monkeys. And the giraffes.”
Agnes giggled as she was pulled on by her boisterous sister. She really did love the little gargoyle so much that she could scarcely imagine her life without her. Gina was the one constant that she could always count on, no matter what. No matter if her day was bad, if it was sad, Gina was there to offer up that tiny bit of sunshine that always let Agnes know that the world had not completely gone to hell around her. Gina was hope.
It was going to be so different not having her in the same room like she had grown used to. But, she figured that eventually she would get used to it. And so would Gina.
In the end, they would always be sisters…forever…
>> “We should go see the flamingos…And the reptile house! Oo, oo, and the tigers—no wait, no, the monkeys. And the giraffes…Where do you want to go?”
Agnes smirked as she patted her gently sister’s hand just grinned.
“We have all day,” she beamed. “Let’s see it all!”
