The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

After the two other girls had left to do their own things, Audrey had gotten dressed in the first pair of jeans she'd found and the first top. She didn't even bother making sure it looked nice, you know why?
Because she wasn't Audrey Walker. No, she was Shana. Another crazy thing? Shana wasn't who Audrey believed her to be at first. After stripping to her underclothes, the Shapeshifter had found out something a little shocking about her friend. Yes, Shana was... Well, Shana was actually a man, and she had the male parts to proove it. Crazy huh? Yes, Audrey thought so too. At first she simply past it off as this being an altered universe where nothing made sense, but after a while walking down the streets, she realized it wasn't the world that had changed, only the people.
So was Shana really transgendered? It was a little strange, but Audrey didn't really mind. Not anymore anyway. Sure it was surprising, but Shana would still be Shana, her friend, once this whole situation was sorted. Who knows, maybe this would make the two closer? Anyway, Audrey really wasn,t the kind of person to judge people, especially since she was a Mutant. Mutants should know better then to judge, after everything the Humans put them through. Everyone were equals in her book, that included men who liked men or men who wanted to be women.
Her thoughts continued to stray further away as she walked toward her Home. She had decided to leave the Mansion's residents to Jessica and Aris, while she would check out her Apartment and locate Shana. Nothing in New York seemed to have changed, which meant the 'Altered reality' was harder to believe now. It still couldn't be ruled out entirely, nothing could. After a month and a half in New York, Audrey knew better then to think something was impossible.
That was when she decided to take an unexpected turn to Central Park. It was still quite early (10:02am) but there were still a few people; mainly kids. She walked over a little shyly, still unsure of her new body. It was kind of scary actually, being stuck in this...person that wasn't her. Also, the clothes on her back (A blue T-shirt with white flowers on it and a pair of faded blue jeans) were so not her. She was more of the Punk type, wearing plaid skirts and silver jewelry. Shana needed to come shopping with Audrey once all of this nonesense was settled. "This is so Friggin' annoying." she whispered.
That was also when Shana's powers decided to ruin Audrey's life. Everything small around her began to rise. Rocks, a kid's pale and shovel, even a basketball. Leaves, branches, a stray baseball cap... It drew a lot of attention on the blue-haired Mutant, unwanted attention.
The bright smile on the young woman’s face clearly signaled that she was feeling good. Alexandra passed various New York walkers, some turning their heads to watch the girl a few more seconds or some just didn’t notice her. Alexandra didn’t seem to notice any of them, for her, most of them were just humans, therefore didn’t deserve much of her attention.
No, she kept walking, eyes focused on a piece of paper which she held in her hands. She was getting a car. No more depending on cabs, buses or getting rides from various mansion residents. She would soon have her own car. And not any car but a brand new shiny Audi R8. For a moment, she wondered what Slade’s reaction would be when he’d find out her choice of car. Another smile formed on her lips as she continued to read. A few more days and her dream car would be delivered.
A content sigh escaped her lips, legs continuing to move and take her across the central park… Until something hit her knee. A curious look appeared on her face as she let her paper holding hand down. Blue eyes traveled down as well, in search of the object that hit her. She half expected to be a ball, considering the feeling of rubbery texture on her bare skin, perhaps one thrown by some kid playing around. However she was surprised to see that particular ball levitating in mid air.
Alexandra turned her head around, to search the mutant that was doing this. For a few seconds, she met only the stares of humans, who looked both amazed and afraid around. Another scan and she discovered more than just a ball levitating in mid air. A various collection of small objects was trembling while being raised from the ground.
Turning her whole body around, she spotted a blue haired girl, and Alexandra’s eyes remained fixed on her figure. The young woman seemed familiar and after forcing herself to remember where she had seen her before, she remembered. Shana Delkar, telekinetic. The blue hair was something that certainly got her attention back when she was reading her medical file.
Seeing that the objects were levitating in mid air and there was a mutant with the gift of telekinesis around, she assumed that Shana would be the one doing it. Closing the distance between them, but careful to be out of a hand’s reach, as the incident at the brawl was enough to make her approach mutants with attention, Alexandra tilted her head to the side. “Shana, are you feeling alright?” Her voice was carefully balanced, she didn’t want to startle Shana and have her powers going crazy more than they already were.
Once the items were in mid-air, there was no way Audrey could get them down again. No matter how hard she concentrated, how hard she tried, they just wouldn't go down and the longer it took, the more people started to glance around to find the Mutant responsible for this. Some seemed to have found her too, because when Audrey glanced around, she found more then a dozen people staring at her. Dammit! Why couldn't she just return to her own body and be done with this crazy madness?
She blinked, looking in front of her again and concentrating even harder. She was starting to get a headache now, and if she continued like this, she had a feeling the Headache would cause her to be in a foul mood later. Whoever got in contact with her should definitely watch out. Ten seconds later, still nothing. That was about when the voice echoed somewhere, asking if Shana was alright.
Shana, for a few seconds longer, Audrey ignored the voice. She needed to get these powers sorted out. Try and gain control before being able to get back to her own body. Obviously she'd forgotten she was in Shana's body and that the girl was speaking to her... It hit her then, and when she glanced at the brown-haired, blue-eyed woman, a few pebbles around the other girl started rising, the previous objects suddenly falling back to the ground with a heavy 'thump'.
"N-no! I'm not... I can't control it! I'm...." she stammered, trying not to hit the woman who knew Shana with the pebbles, although it was very hard for her to control where they went. "Nothing's going right! I'm trapped in someone else's body with these stupid powers!" she yelled, collapsing to the ground with the pressure some new items put on her mind.
Although she did not know it, behind her a young boy was being lifted in the air, and he was screaming, tears going down his face. He was no older then two years old.
It took a few more seconds to Shana to notice Alexandra’s presence and glance upwards. The face of the blue haired girl was reflecting the inner struggle with her own mutation. Various thumps called the molecule manipulator’s attention and her head turned slightly to see the objects that have been previously in the air now resting on the ground. Her eyes lingered a few more seconds on the ball that had hit her leg as it jumped up and down, rolling away from her position.
Her attention was quickly drawn away once again as pebbles raised instead. Now, it didn’t seem to be anything out of the ordinary but Alexandra couldn’t help but notice that they were floating in her direction, trembling in the air, as if Shana was fighting to keep them from doing her harm.
She sighed, a bit unhappy about the situation and wondering why exactly when she wanted to help things kept turning against her. She didn’t blame Shana, of course, but still. Her eyes shifted from the pebbles to the growing crowd, and exhaling she turned her whole attention back to the mutant in trouble, just as she had begun to speak.
Shana said something about losing control, something that was now more than obvious. However, it was the next phrase that surprised Alexandra. Trapped in someone else’s body with those stupid powers. Her mind took a few moments to adjust to this new piece of information, and when it was finally accepted, Shana-who-wasn’t-Shana was collapsing to the ground, under the pressure of her mutation.
Instantaneously, Alexandra took a step forward until she found herself standing next to the collapsed figure and kneeled beside it. “Okay, Shana, or whoever you are, listen to me.”
Screams interrupted Alexandra and her head shot up, eyes now fixed on the small boy who was being lifted from the ground, his small hands and feet struggling to get himself down while tears ran freely on the porcelain skin of his face. The small toy car he held in his hand fell down, and Alexandra’s blue eyes followed the motion. The toy hit the pavement, and rested there silently. Only small pieces of yellow plastic scattered around it were the evidence of its fall.
Only three seconds passed as she looked at the boy and at his toy and Alexandra quickly turned back to the girl. “Come on, you really need to focus on your mutation and turn it off. Quit thinking about anything else. I promise I will do my best to help you with your problem.” she spoke, faster than her usual talking speed, but still, slow enough for the girl to understand. Alexandra sighed, it wasn’t her business to play the role of the good Samaritan, but if that was the key to keep the girl’s telekinesis in check, then she would have done it. At least until she could take her to the mansion and give her to people who were better than her at doing this. “Come on, focus. You’re stronger than your powers.” she encouraged, as her hand moved to touch the girl’s shoulder in an attempt to comfort.
Not far from her, the boy was still kicking and screaming, his feet hanging in mid air.
