The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Once again, Predator found himself in central park. When he wasn't sleeping, wreaking havoc, or researching targets, he increasingly found that he enjoyed the pure, undiluted nature of the park. It was an island of calm and purity in a stormy sea of despicable humanity. It was an escape, for Predator, a place he could go that would allow him to retreat from the noise and bustle that the filthy humans seemed to thrive in. Often he felt as if he would suffocate.
Predator looked over to his right, and what he saw on a tree made him scowl. It said Brian <3 Lindsay.
Angrily, Predator walked over to the tree and scratched through the drawing, leaving four long claw marks through it. As if humans could feel as pure an emotion as love. They had but mere shadows, mockeries of the true feelings that only superior beings, such as himself, could cultivate. It was then that he noticed someone watching him.
Aura rubbed her head as she walked through the park again trying to get used to human's being every whare around her. Here to do what her training told her, strike. The Bown haired girl often came here for that reason. Looking around with her emerald colord eyes she did spot one person who seemed to be scratching somthing out of a tree. The question of weather or not he was a mutant or human was quickly answerd from the claw marks he left behind in the tree. She smiled at this, whatever mutation he had it seemed to have given him claws, or somthing much like it.
Aura decided to see just who this mutant was, it was true their were few people around but still few Mutants were comfertable enough wih who and what they were to openly show their powers. Then again if he really had claws it might not matter. Walking closer she took no effort to hide herself and kept her aproach at a slowed pace when the other Mutant spotter her. Aura smiled and brought a finger infront of her face. Within moments a pink color appeared and seemed to flow around the finger, untill it coverd her entire hand. "Taking a break from the Humans??" She asked politely as she rested her back against another nearby tree. "The name is Aura by the way" She said letting the Aura fade away whare it could not be viewed.

As Predator finished his minor act of vandalism, he heard the sounds of a person approaching him. He turned slowly, to see a girl, of about fifteen or sixteen, approaching. She had longish brown hair and livid greeen eyes, and a fierce look that Predator knew could only come from hardship. As she got closer to Predator, she smiled, and raised her hand. A pinkish light slowly enveloped her hand, then retreated. It was obvious that this girl was a mutant.
"Taking a break from the Humans?? The name is Aura by the way" She said, leaning her back up against a nearby tree.
"Of course," Predator replied, "Though even this place has been contaminated by their stench." He indicated the heart he had scratched out. "Call me Predator. It is nice to meet you." He said truthfully. Lately, it seemed that he had been running into more and more mutants who shared his anti-human, pro-mutant superiority sentiments. Whether that was because he was being more proactive, or just that they were coming out into the open more, Predator didn't have the foggiest.
"Always nice to meet those of our kind Predator" she said noticeing his name right away, like so many Mutants herself included he had left his old anme behind or atleast Aura figured this was the case. "I agree they are an iferior species, and one day Mutants will take our rightful place over them" She said with confidence, to her it was an inevitability, somthing that would happon one day. She hoped she would live long enough to see it.
As Aura laned against the tree, she lazily brought her Aura back into view though just around her index finger and cut some bark from the tree behind her, letting the small peice fall to the ground. "It is hard not to lash out at them freely" she admitted, it was true her danger sences told her that every human was dangerous. They all were to one degree or another even the littile ones though Aura did not like taking them out, it wa sno challinge, at leats with Mutants for all you knew the local 12 year old could end the planet it made things more excitieing.
"Always nice to meet those of our kind Predator. I agree they are an inferior species, and one day Mutants will take our rightful place over them" Aura fiddled with her aura, making it flare around one finger and using it to carve off a piece of bark from the tree she was leaning against.
"It is inevitable. We are the next stage in evolution." Predator said, picking bits of bark out from under his claws. He had met many mutants in the past couple of days, and all of them were both unique and similar to eachother at the same time. However, only one had possessed the kind of assured confidence that Aura seemed to carry, and that was Meld. It could be a coincidence, but Predator decided he would look into it later. There are no such things as coincidences where mutants are concerned.
"It is hard not to lash out at them freely"
Predator chuckled, saying "Not really. They are just so fragile. One good swipe and their head goes rolling, or their innards spill out, or their spine is broken. Not hard at all, my dear."
"Very true" She said nodding to his remarks on evaluation, she believed much the same thing, nature had chosen them to conquer the Human race and replace them as the dominant species on the planet. Looking around again to make sure no Humans were to close to them, she wiped her hair from her face He also seemed very sure of himself which was a good thing. She found a lot of Mutants in NYC and wondered if all city's had so many, if they did, it seemed they would easily be able to wipe the humans out. Then again many Mutants were for one reason or another opposed to the annialation of Humans.
"They really are, their heads to separate easily from their body but their bones can be lovely" she commented thinking back to decoration style. It was one of the few reasons she found value in Humans at all, as prey and as furniture. "Still their just prey and so their fighting is expected" she said thinking of a cournerd animal. She did not blame the Humans for fighting the change, any species would, still they would lose eventually. Her eyes looked up at the sky briefly checking the clouds. "You live in the city?" she asked casually trying to start some small talk.

"They really are, their heads to separate easily from their body but their bones can be lovely. Still they're just prey and so their fighting is expected"
Predator nodded, agreeing with her logic. Humans were weak, but even rats would fight viscously when backed into a corner. And the human race most certainly was backed into a corner. It wasn't exactly fair to the rats to compare them with humans, but there had to be some point of comparison.
"You live in the city?"
"For now, at least. I might be moving soon though. Depends..."
"I see, i just got back to the city myself" She said, this Mutant seemed quite which happened. She considered a few ideas, before leaping up and grabbing onto the branches. Hnaging thare for a secound she let one go with her one hand, and proceeded to cut the branch she was hanging from down. Stopping half way through she let the branch break with a loud snapping noise, still the branch was strong enough to support it's weight leaning against the ground. Aura dropped a\ the inch or two that remained and walked a bit close rto the other mutant.
"I live at a place called Sanctuary" She said wondering if had even heard of the place before, many had but as far as she knew Sanctuary really did not advertise. The Number of new Mutations in this city was always facinateing. "So what do you do for fun?" she said tilting her head curiously, admittidly she was board today, though it was no fault of her friends, she was just in more of a mood for action. She entertained the Idea of fighting some alley way trash, they were never any good but few people complained when they died and often they went unreported entirely.
"I see, i just got back to the city myself" Aura broke off a branch from a tree. She then moved closer to Predator, who couldn't help but back up a few steps.
It's not that he didn't trust her, it was really just the fact that, living in a world where those of his kind and disposition were hunted by all manner of people, one became wary. Okay, maybe he was more than wary, but paranoid works just as well.
"I live at a place called Sanctuary. So what do you do for fun?"
The sanctuary? Hmm... Sanctuary... Sounds vaugely familiar... Predator thought. However, try as he might, he couldn't put a pin down on where he had heard that before, so he let it go. If it was really important his mind would supply the information when needed.
"Fun?" Predator smiled. "Well... Human blood does often make lovely patterns..."
"That it does and their bones lovely furniture" She said agreeing with him. Stretching a bit she looked back up to the sky to make sure the weather would hold. So he liked the way spilled blood looked. She could certainly understand that. though not her favorite part herself, their purpose would be the same in such a mission. Tilting her head she looked around making sure no one else was in hearing range. "They seem to love those alleyways" she commented with a smile. Killing a few humans off quietly in an alley should be all right. He had not suggested going to kill Humans but she had a feeling it would be coming.
"We could always go find some of the local gang members" she said recalling her last few fights with gangs, most had ended well except for that guy's whose leg bone she had carved out, he had managed to strike pretty hard. It Happened however it was part of the ransom chance you took when fighting trash. She took a few steps out more into the open portion of the area as she awaited for his answer.
"That it does and their bones lovely furniture. They seem to love those alleyways. We could always go find some of the local gang members"
Predator noticed that Aura checked to see if there were any nearby humans before she spoke. She actually cared what the scum heard? Whatever, we all have our quirks, thought Predator.
"That we could, that we could. However, that wouldn't particularly be any fun. Most of them don't even require me to transform, if there's not too many of them." Predator then put his hand to his mouth and smiled slightly, as if he had just let out a secret. "I'm in the mood for a more challenging match. Even for humans, gang members are pathetic. You have any ideas?" Predator had an idea himself, but he wanted to see what Aura came up with before he volunteered his idea.
"That simply means we either need to find a large gang hide out or maybe attract some police and prevent them from getting away. She said thinking to herself. He was right of course, common gang members did tend to be pathetic, but in good numbers they could be a work out. Police were more fun and Aura decided to wonder if she should start collecting their guns each time she laid a police officer low. Aura had conceded from her daylight open murder the other night that attacking in broad daylight in the open could be a bad idea. Last time she had been followed all the way to the warehouse she some times used as a hide out.
"If you have any better idea's however i am open to them" she said casually. Humans over hearing them could spoil their fun early and that would give this guy less then he wished, Aura thought to herself. Aura walked out a bit more into the open looking around for for any other inspiration. As long as their victem was a Human it matterd not who they attacked. "We could always rob a store to" she said witha shrug not really sure what he was into.

"That simply means we either need to find a large gang hide out or maybe attract some police and prevent them from getting away. "
Predator nodded slowly. The larger gangs of the city could probably put up some sort of fight, in large numbers, and it was always fun to slaughter a few police officers. Or maybe more than a few. However, since that escapade he had with Meld, Predator had been choosing particular targets more and more, rather than just slaughtering random people.
"Well, we could trash the bank a bit down the street, it is owned by a very publicly anti-mutant family."
"We could do that, though im not quite sure how we would get into the vault" she said thinking to herself. She knew her blade could not get through. Still it was owned by a anti-Mutant family. She had no reason not to do so, so turned and looked back at him. Looking up at the sky she tilted her head, the bank would be closed by now as well, but that might just extend their fun, letting her Aura appear visually again this time it started at her fingers and slowly flowed up to her shoulder before dissipating again into nothing. "Sounds like fun actually" She said with a smile, she had done this once before after all.
She figured predator was likely the kind to go through the front door, which would allow them less time to play, but then the alarm would prolbely cut that short anyway. Thinking to herself she smiled and asked. "After anything in particular? Money or just fun" she said thinking, trying to guage the best way to go about this. Their was the smart way and some very stupid ways as well. SHe awaited his reply with eagerness.

"We could do that, though im not quite sure how we would get into the vault" Aura let her power flow back into view again, smiling.
Predator smiled wolfishly and said, "Oh don't worry about the vault. When the time comes, it will open."
"Sounds like fun actually. After anything in particular? Money or just fun?"
Predator nodded. Now they were getting down to business. "Really, I won't be able to grab any cash. I say you grab what you can comfortably carry, and let me do my thing. I'll keep attention away from you for the most part, but be careful of the bullets. I'll probably make my way through the front of the store, and you could probably follow or go in through another way if you want to."
