The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Buildings, buildings and more buildings, they were everywhere it seemed. A large difference from his native village in Thailand where the biggest building was the three story fighting arena. It was worse then getting lost in the jungle, it seemed that no matter where he turned he would end up in a nearly identical spot. Nothing had ever made the twenty five year old man feel quite so stupid. He had more then enough money from his hundreds of championship fights yet he didn't know how to rent an apartment or buy a loft. Instead he had been sleeping wherever he could find a place to crash.
Under overpasses. in alleyway's, even in front of random buildings. His favorite place by far though was this large park he had wandered upon. He heard people speaking about it and determined it was called "Central Park," he preferred to call it paradise. It was the only thing so far to remind him of his home, with it's beautiful green foliage and lack of large buildings. It wasn't a jungle by any means but it was something and that was all Chanarong needed to get by.
Approaching the grassy heaven, a smile would cross over the mans face. This is where he wanted to be now, especially after another disappointing day trying to find the cities fighting arena. Little did the man know that unlike Thailand, New York's fighting clubs weren't giant buildings in the middle of the town with big arena monikers written in thai on the front. Without help his odds of ever locating the buildings were dismal as were his chances at finding a place to live. With a sigh he sat on a bench at the center of the park, attempting to gather his thoughts, while he pondered his next step.
OOC: Sorry it's short, don't have much to go on yet lol
Koga was in his bed at the mansion and was loading up cleaning supplies into his back pack. he did so with a remorseful look on his still bruised face. He was not proud of how things ended up and he had esxcepted the wait and ruls that had been iimposed on hims since the incident.
Koga had been told that he was not to leave the mansion grounds with out going through the front door from now on. He was told that he was supposed to notify someone that he was leaving and he was tol that he was to do absolutely no crimefighting beyond picking up liter, or scrubbing graphiti off of park benches. He was to do nothingdangerous with his powers and abslolutely no catching rides on delivery truck to the city. so he was going through the front door, to go to the park to scrub graphiti off of benches. He doubted that they thought he woud take them seriously but he did. and it was a way to fight crime and so off he went with a back pack full of brushes and sprays. He was going to go via bus. which in his opinion was more dangerous then the fed ex. He walked out of the door and got most of the way to the gate before he was stopped.
He wore fresh new clothes that he had gotten to shop for on the mansions bill and so he would do good deads in their name.He was determined to make himsel a positive influence on the world.

“Hey hey hey,” Shin held out a ‘hall monitor’ hand, waggling one finger. He wore an orange sash. “Where do you think you’re going, young man? I was told to keep an eye on you. Think of it as if I were your big brother, sent to keep you out of trouble,” he mused, cupping his chin. He sparkled with good intentions.
Koga wore a backpack filled with good intentions too, but Shin had no way of knowing that. Assigned as he was to Koga’s case, it was his duty to be on it. He turned his ever-critical eye to the bag, focusing on it. “And what have you got there?” He asked with a grin, looking the bruised boy in the eye.
He would sit pondering his predicament and the results seemed bleak at best. Currently he had no place to live, no way to procure any new money and as it stood he was carrying thousands of dollars in his pocket, a plentiful amount of 1,000 dollar bills, definitely not the most secure way of storing money. At this rate he wasn't sure what would happen first, him running out of money, him losing his money or him freezing to death. As always however he tried to remain as positive as he could on the situation and instead of considering himself homeless, he was just a "full time outdoorsmen" for the time being.
His back was starting to ache a bit from sitting up against the bench. Attempting to lie down on the bench would result in his head and feet dangling of it. While rather uncomfortable it did give him a new perspective on things, rather literally. He enjoyed the upside down view he was getting, that was until a giant panda showed up. A man in a giant panda suit that is with a big red bow on his head and a bright pink too too. His head popped right in front of Chan's hanging one and with a big indescribably guttural yell he gained the fighters attention.
Jumping up Chan nearly kneed the man in his face, partly because of his reflexes and partly because growing up in the jungle made you pretty jumpy around large animals. Then he would notice the too too and bow that hinted it wasn't exactly a panda, either that or someone with an extra bow and ballerina outfit was incredibly daring. Dancing around randomly the man would scream of odd subjects such as the end of the world, the governments conspiracy to enslave the lemons of Australia and how the aliens were watching them waiting to attack and only those disguised as dancing gift panda's would escape the mass probing that would ensue.
Definitely taken off guard by the rambling of the oddly dressed man, Chan was caught in a moral dilemma. The part of him that wished to protect society wanted to elbow the man into unconsciousness and drag him to a mental hospital, while the Buddhist in him knew that such actions could lead to not only bad karma but wouldn't be very true to the middle way. Instead he would nod at one that man said and throw in random primitive yells and dance movements hoping to get the guy to move on. This was actually rather effective despite Chan looking completely ridiculous for the moment. Eventually the man would leave to pester another person dressed as the Easter bunny, according to him the man was an impostor because the panda man knew the bunny personally.
With his part in the situation diffused Chan would lie back down on his bench, thoroughly convinced that the rumors of New York harboring leagues of nut jobs were completely true.
“Hey hey hey,” “Where do you think you’re going, young man? I was told to keep an eye on you. Think of it as if I were your big brother, sent to keep you out of trouble,”
Koga’s eyes widened as he ran across the sash across the young man’s chest. Even the dork that Koga was told him that it wasn’t cool to wear a sash. And a hall monitor here??? Wow. “ I was told that I might not have a mentor, until tomorrow at earliessst. Noting Shards obvious heritage he gave a bow, that would suit an older and respected friend. “ I wasss going to central park, after the lassst few daysss I can hardly argue that I don’t need sssomeone to help keep me out of trouble. What isss it that I ssshould call my big brother?”
“And what have you got there?”
“ I have cleaning sssuppliesss, I was told at my reprimand, that if I wanted to fight crime then I ssshould ssstart with litter or cleaning graphiti off of the park benchesss, I wasss heading to central to do the later. I think that he meant it as sssarcasssm, but I thought about it and it makesss sssenssse. I will do this to ssshow that I am truly dedicated to the eradication of the ssshady under currentsss here in the City. I have a busss passss and according to this it works for sssingle ussse or groupsss. I thought that I would ssstart at the north end.” He bowed again after finishing his explanation.

“Ah!” Shin nodded in realization, wiping a tear from his eye. “Cleaning supplies. That’s like music to my ears.” He feigned being moved to tears, then quickly straightened up his face to deliver the next line. “Seriously though, they’re really on top of things here. And it’s not to keep you out of trouble. I see it as keeping the trouble out of you.”
He paused to let that line sink in a moment. It sounded as stupid in his head as when he’d said it.
“So anyways, you say you want to go to the park and clean it up? I’ll go with you.” He returned the bow politely, then snapped back up to add onto that thought. “Heck, I’ll even help you out. How does that sound, Koga?”
“My name’s Shin, by the way!” Shin grinned, scratching the back of his neck in a laugh.
OOC: Sorry guy's I had a few things going, but all in all it just ended up being ridiculousness and while fun it's kinda tedious, kinda feels like a solo thread you know lol So just skip my post until you arrive, take your time though, no rush ^-^

Max was walking through the park, with a cappuccino in his hand, and glanced around Central Park. "Man, this is nice. Nice fresh air, no angry kids, no fires. This place looks almost normal." He then sighted what looked like somebody sleeping on a park bench, in what looked like a Karate Uniform. (OOC: I am sorry, I am using the description from your character page. You didn't say what you looked like. I will change this if this is wrong)
Then the strangest thing happened...
Dancing around randomly the man would scream of odd subjects such as the end of the world, the governments conspiracy to enslave the lemons of Australia and how the aliens were watching them waiting to attack and only those disguised as dancing gift panda's would escape the mass probing that would ensue.<<<
Max raised an eyebrow. "Ok. That was strange." The panda looked absolutely crazy, and he thought the panda was going to assult the guy. Crazier things have happened. He thought to himself. Max just shook his head. He thought the boy might be crazy himself, but then realised the guy actually was just pretending. Regardless that boy deserved a drink for being brave enough to dance for a man in a panda suit.
He walked towards the guy on the bench. "Hey, sorry for interrupting your nap there, but I just saw you being harrased by the panda." Boy I never thought I would say those words again. Reflecting for a moment before snapping back to attention.
"Anyway, just checking your alright. You look new around here. Are you a tourist? Here for a martial arts tournament or something?" He then added quickly, "My name's Max by the way."
OOC: Ok disregard my last post as I know have someone to rp with while I wait for your bus ride lol From now on it'll go Me, Koga, Shin, Max just so we don't all get confused ^-^ also max, yah that's about right, it's like villager clothes so inferring it as "karate" clothes would be a reasonable observation
IC:
As Chan lied there looking up at the teal blue sky, he innocently hoped to himself that not all people in New York were so crazy. He wanted to make money for his family, but he could only take so many giant dancing animals. What he needed right now was a friend, someone to help him navigate this concrete jungle and explain to him the finer things about American society that he didn't seem to grasp. If he couldn't find someone like that soon he might not have any other choice but to return to Thailand.
"He walked towards the guy on the bench. "Hey, sorry for interrupting your nap there, but I just saw you being harassed by the panda." Boy I never thought I would say those words again. Reflecting for a moment before snapping back to attention. "Anyway, just checking your alright. You look new around here. Are you a tourist? Here for a martial arts tournament or something?" He then added quickly, "My name's Max by the way."
Sitting up quickly the fighter would see a man around his age standing in front of him. He was dressed in a black suit with a white tie, clothes Chan had only seen announcers for fights wearing.
"Yah, I'm ok, just rather confused as to what just occurred and yah you could say I'm new around here. I just arrived from Thailand, now I'm stuck somewhere between not being able to find a job and completely homeless. In fact I would greatly appreciate it if you could give me a hand. My name's Chanarong by the way."
The large man held out his hand to the man while smiling, hopefully he would be able to give him some kind of aid.
(ooc: koga has a lisssp due to his forked tongue so take away two ss's and you havethe actual word. I know the word as is unfortunate, with his speech impediment." Shin G-modded with permission)
Koga nodded to Shin. " that would be mossst appreciated. I am trying to prove the point that I am not asss much of a trouble maker asss I have been exhibiting my ssself to be. To the busss ssstop and community ssservice!." The pair chatted amiably as they walked down the long path and then the block down the road to the bus stop, several of the regulars would recognize this as a frequent hang out and drop off for young mutants, and so the faces weren't as surprised as one might think. for most it was simply another day in new york city. The bus ride was a typical bus ride. odd conversations springing up in between strangers and interrupted by abrupt departures. The bus took them to a subway station and from the subway it was a matter of thirty minutes to get to the park.
The subway let the pair out and Koga as if on a mission headed to the closest bench. They would clean what they could some would require paint and he wasn't about to have some officer taking him for a hoodlum, trying to add more "art work". The empty bench just so happened to be near a giant of a man and a business man having a conversation. Surely they wouldn't mind someone making the area cleaner. As they walked toward the bench with purpose Koga swung his back pack around and handed Shin a sponge with a rough side and soft side and also a spray bottle of any hard surface cleaner.
Koga walked to the opposite end of the bench and began to spray and scrub spray and scrub.

Pausing, Shin considered the man. He seemed familiar… “Oh, hey! I played basketball with him. Hey!” He waved at Changa… changa… “Hey, Chan-Chan!” Shin couldn’t remember that full name… are you kidding? He glanced down at the sponge and cleaning supplies, then his eyes fell to Koga, cleaning nearby.
Right.
He dropped down to one knee, cleaning the bench on the other side.

The large man held out his hand to the man while smiling, hopefully he would be able to give him some kind of aid.
Max smiled back at the guy. "That must be rough. I know how hard it is moving to a new city, but a new country? That must really suck." He thought for a moment. The kid looks like he really needs help, and Mum always said help those in need...
Max then offered some help. "Hey why don't I-" He was interrupted by the sound of another person.
He waved at Changa… changa… “Hey, Chan-Chan!” Shin couldn’t remember that full name… are you kidding? He glanced down at the sponge and cleaning supplies, then his eyes fell to Koga, cleaning nearby.
Max looked at the two kids cleaning benches. Now that's some good service to the community. He thought to himself. "Hey Chanarong, do you know that guy?" He pointed to the older student who was cleaning the bench.
Max then offered some help. "Hey why don't I-" He was interrupted by the sound of another person.
It seemed as thought he man was actually going to help Chan, joy started to bubble in him as he knew now that there was some hope for him making it in this new world. Before the man could finish however another voice spoke. For some reason or another Chan hadn't noticed that there were two boys cleaning the bench next to him and one of them was someone he had met just one day prior. A kid named shin from, that academy, he always forgot what it was called.
He waved at Changa… changa… “Hey, Chan-Chan!” Shin couldn’t remember that full name… are you kidding? He glanced down at the sponge and cleaning supplies, then his eyes fell to Koga, cleaning nearby.
"Hey Shin, how are you, good to see your helping your community, good karma is coming your way. Also who is your friend." Chan said looking at Koga
Koga glanced up, really far up and offered the large man friendly smile, You didn't not smile at people that big. particularly ones that you didn't know if they had a grip on their sanity or not. He continued cleaning the bench as those around him discussed who knew who. He hadn't ever noticed before the obscenity to name was here ratio was about even, it was best not to read all of the words. better even still to not write them...some people do not deserve to be literate..or semi literate as the case may be.
"Shin-kun, you don't have to do thisss if you don't want to, I asssure you that I will behave, if you would like to catch up with your friendsss...or if you would like usss to postpone. I am sssure the graffiti will wait." He waved at the two men to assure them that he didn't take offense.
He looked up at the other men and concentrated up staying the same color as his shirt. never mind that his hair would be the same color as his flesh.

“I can catch up with friends and scrub out obscenities at the same time,” Shin chirped back, scrubbing away. “Plus, I’m learning all sorts of vocabulary words here. It’s really quite enlightening.”
His eyes glanced up at Chanarong, and he gave him the answer. “This is Koga. He’s kind of my little brother today.” A fake laugh came out of his mouth. “What are you and your friend up to today in this park? Want to introduce him, too?”
Max Peterson got a nod. Shin continued his scrubbing. "You know, we should have really brought a tooth brush to get between the hard parts..." He muttered knowingly to Koga, off topic.
