The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

(Hunting trip for GWN starting when people leave to hunt in this thread, then returns there.)
Sara had chosen to go out hunting on foot. She had gained the sled dog’s respect but she still didn’t have their complete trust and in turn, they didn’t have hers either. Sara had a past with dogs that bit. She didn’t need to continue that past. Besides. Her feet were just as capable of getting the job done.
Sara had taken off from the camp at a pace that kept moving between a jog and a run. A set of bow and arrows were tied loosely to her back, and a spear was held in her right hand, where it could be easily accessed as it was propped against the back of her shoulder. Her clawed feet found easy footing in the snow and with the exception of the snow crunching here and there, her movements were nearly silent. Her senses were allowed to roam with her natural curiosity, and between her speed, stealth, and eye sight, she found herself within view of several types of animals before they could get out and away from her path.
Stray Caribou stood bravely on the path about 45 feet in front of Sara when she skidded to a stop. Puffs of air could be seen escaping from Sara’s mouth in the cold, and the same was happening with the pair of Caribou. Had it not been for Sara’s instructions to only take down small game, her spear’s sights would be set on one of them. According to her instincts and the way the larger caribou stood with it’s hip popped rather than with a straight spine, he would be her target.
They snorted at her, before the one with the crooked hip flipped his head and they turned tail, bounding down a head of Sara with the older injured male trailing behind but still to stubborn to let himself become food. Sara had respect for that. Still her friends and her needed food.
Hares had become Sara’s easiest prey. She just had to walk around where she could smell them. Human’s don’t know it but so much of the wild life stays completely still when you walk by them. Rabbits included. Sara would have passed her first one if it wasn’t for the fact she could smell, and hear them so well. Four times, she flushed hares out, and when they ran, it was a matter of using the spear with the right timing. The first hare had lucked out as Sara’s spear had tangled in the under brush and not in the Hare’s pelt, but the next three fell quick.
She was taking a short break, when Sara thought she heard the heave hooves of a large animal. She turned in curiosity, but where she heard the hooves, she hadn’t found any animal that would match them. In fact there was no animal at all. So before long, Sara’s attention returned to her hunting. She was successful in snagging 5 more hares before the sun sank too far down, and she decided to turn back to camp.
