The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Koga glanced to his side as he passed the third of twenty five floors, he was making good time, faster than an elevator slower than a mocking Shinbo. He chased after his mentor vertically and was left in the dust, that was alright though, this wasn't a race...well other than to Shin, This was about saving people and if Shin could get that started while he caught up, then Fantastic.
At least a minute later and a great deal more winded Koga rounded the roof top. He rolled his shoulders and made way to the lone door that would serve as a place to smoke to those that had access, janitor's, security guards. Now the trick was how did they enter and how did they get the people out of danger once they were roof side. he had requested any helicopter they could get a hold of. but that would take time.
He looked to Shin as he made his way hurriedly toward the door. "Any chance you can whip up a sshard key?"
He started to sling the bag from around from his shoulder. " if not, itss ok, luckily, exitss are required to open outward, for fire ssafety, which makess thiss ssort of door have the hingess on the out sside." he pulled a hammer and pry bar from his bag and waited to see if Shinbo could pull off some mutant magic, or had something else in mind entirely. If not he would proceed to do this the hard and manual way, prying each of the pins from the hinge and removing the door that way. circumventing the lock and the danger of the door closing while they weren't looking.

Well, no. Keys were out of the question. As was Shard Lock Picking, in general. He was no Scooby Doo, and couldn't reshape his shards like a tail, into a key shape. Well. Almost. If it hadn't been dark in the keyhole, and if there hadn't been all those crazy little things on the interior that one couldn't see, he could have made a recreation.
"Probably not a good enough copy to get it open. I could do a shard drill, but it might make me nauseous, and there's no guarantee people aren't behind the door, slamming on it." Although there was a distinct lack of pounding and 'let me outs'. Most probably didn't go 'up' to escape crazy buildings. Especially if crazy buildings had killer elevators, which he expected as a dark possibility. There was also the possibility the drill wouldn't give enough clearance for them to get everyone out. It being a glorified can opener meant there'd be jagged edges, too. That left one good idea in the bunch.
"Will that hammer work, or should I just saw the hinges off? We're kind of in a hurry here..." Once he found them, he knew how he'd escort people to safety. Shard Porygon seemed like it could carry him and one. Maybe two. There was one other option...
The Asian's eyes slid towards the next building over. He could potentially do it... if people didn't rush across like wild animals and overtax his mind or break his concentration.
"Hammer it." He said definitively, not giving Koga the chance to opt for the crazy shard cutting tools. "I need to focus on a bridge." And with that order, he turned, rolled up his sleeves, and got to work.
Koga worked on the door even as Shin was making up his mind slamming the hinge with every ounce of strength he could muster, he should have brought a chemistry set, he could have whipped up something corrosive and been done already.
As he rared back for another swing, the door burst open with a suddeness. Koga only had a chance to jump and land on the door, unfortunately the animate building had enough force to fling him into the brick wall behind it.
He was dazzed but not out cold luckily, however there was no fighting a door. So he out thought it. He swung his hammer into the opening near the hinges and lodged the Hammer in the open spot jamming it all together, so it couldn't move this way or that....one door down, how many more to go?

The thing about concentrating is this: It's kind of a walking downside. Because although it can achieve spectacular results, all that focusing one one task, see? It makes it so you don't notice the daisies. Or the sunsets. Or the reptile kids getting flung into brick walls. But look! There was a bridge! See? See? Building! And he was focusing on it, and it was stretching. So Koga would just have to work on all of those doors some more by himself.
"Keep up the good work," Shin managed, without breaking his gaze on the expanse.
A wry smirk lifted the younger hero's lips, Shin had other things to do still his absolute concentration left room for wise cracks. he would have to tell Shin he loved him after all of this was done. For now though it was into the lions mouth.
So far the score was Building: 1 Koga: 1 Shinbo's sass:18, no idea how he scored that many points unless he had been mumbling something under his breathe. he would have to see about doing something better than jamming the door with his tools.
Slap forehead here...like doing what he intended in the first place. Koga reached into his bag one more time and pulled a drill out and flipped the bit to be a phillips. he then attacked the outter door with vigor, he wasn't worried about the shape of the door after it was detached, only that it stopped attacking.
Nine screws later. "Timber!" the door flooped to its side and he reached down requiring his hammer. He bursted into the empty room to find that the building wasn't paying as much attention on this end, perhaps he had other problems and thought the door was enough to hold him.
He came to another door and repeated the process of unscrewwing hinges and letting another door topple. He then relized why exactly the second door hadn't fought him, he wanted to fight with more toys.
the upper floor must have been where the company kept extra furniture. a whole school of desk chairs was rolling at him and so up the wall he went.
The chairs started to hop by lowering their hydraulic cylinder and popping up like those little suction cup spring toys that you get in kids meals. Luckily for him, they weren't doing to good of a job. he would have to do something about them before he moved on but what?

Meanwhile, Shin was doing absolutely nothing special. Yeah, you could skip checking in on him for a while. He was just concentrating on the task at hand.
Koga peered down at the chairs below him, sometimes you just had to fight..this wasn’t one of them, he was fairly certain throwing himself against the chairs was a waste of energy. Capturing them however. That was worthwhile. He spied a giant spool of router wire and made a loop and lowered over the closest jumping desk chair it reminded him of those magnetic fishing games that rotated. He then proceeded to tangle the cord around the other chairs tripping them up and forcing them to work against each other. he gave them more and more rope to hang themselves and as it came to the end he threaded it between poles that held up a shelf on the wall. He yanked the cord taught like a sailor raising the main sail, arms pumping, he tied a Palomar knot and a clinch knot right behind it these chairs weren’t going anywhere. He looked down at his catch and was amused to see the chairs were spinning and kicking further entangling themselves, this proved something he was wondering about, just because he could animate them, it didn’t make every object sentient. He released the ceiling and landed on the floor, staying well away from the wall that had the shelf that harbored the deranged desk chairs.
He lunged at the door and set to the hinges, this door didn’t bother to fight him, perhaps the destruction distraction crew was doing their part down in the lobby. He pulled the door from the frame and entered to find desks harassing a rather large group of people. Crap! These weren’t school desks but CEO huge hardwood desks.
One of the beasts charged him as hard as it could while a second followed and a third kept stomping at the hostages. He leapt and landed on the first desk as it slammed into the wall, the only reason he was still in the rodeo was his gecko grip. The front right corner shattered on the desk and it now ran with a limp the second desk charged into the first and Koga leapt free, it was a destruction derby and the desks were angry at each other, the second seized on the weakness of the first and proceeded to dominate it. the third desk stomped and attacked the second. He shot the group of hostages a look that said he didn’t know what to say about what exactly was going on below him.
He pulled his Wakasashi and quickly accessed the hammer from his kit and dropped from the ceiling once more sending the overly sharpened blade into the desk and set to hammering with a wreck less abandon that could only be appreciated by another teen male. His was set to Destroy. Desk one was all but dead, desk two was down but not out, it pounded on big papa desk three with its drawers as Koga savagely destroyed the fine carpentry. Desk three fell to the onslaught of desk two and Koga eventually. And Koga put desk two out of its misery with two solid blows. It stumbled and fell.
He looked to the crowd and wiped the sweat from his forehead.”I’ve a friend ready to escort you to the next building over, We’ll get you out of here, but you’ll have to be brave for us. Koga grabbed another coil of networking cable from the shelf, the chairs seemed subdued after witnessing the way the desks went down. Koga tied the cord around a pipe sticking out of the building. “ do you want me to go first, secure it over there somewhere?” there was about thirty something people up here. Ready to evacuate. Mostly office tapes, a delivery person or guest here or there.
