The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Image Anime. Since 1992 it has given the gift of anime to New York City. With a wide arrangement of Anime and japanese merchandise, DVD's and blu-rays [for purchase or rent], costumes, and other novelties, the store was a good safe house for many a strawberry wearing fan. The two story building could easily fit close to 200 customers and staff. At about 5 pm, the store saw it's usually busiest hour as people got off of work and became customers.
On the second floor, browsing the Tokusatsu section for a hidden treasure was Michelle Blankenship. Her ears adorned with her usual earbuds, rocking out to the opening of the current Kamen Rider, Wizard, Life is Showtime by Sho Kiryuin. Her current look showed exactly where she had just come from. Her long blonde hair was tied back in a ponytail. She was wearing the normal cheerleading outfit. A white top and skirt with a red v covering her chest and shoulders. The pleated skirt had red on the internal pleats. RHS printed across her chest. She had knee high socks and white and red sneakers on. hanging from her shoulder was her basic brown leather purse. Hanging from that was a chain the held eight very large plastic rings, indicative of what hung from the waist of the current Kamen rider.

'Did they have it?' he wondered.
The green triangle hit the air three inches above the pavement, and lightly touched down. White coat tails swept upwards as air caught them, a side effect of down motion and gravity. The triangle vanished all at once as his second sneaker touched ground.
They probably had it. It was more than likely.
The coat tails fluttered more as he swept through the doorway. A few heads turned. Someone thought he was Seto Kaiba. But he didn't have green enough hair. Or brown. Only one of the people present caught the coat reference. Saejima Kouga. He was impressed.
The Asian was off work for the moment. He'd had a day off. That meant free-time, and picking up DVDs. They still hadn't finished that series. This place was likely to have it.
Up he went, to the second floor. It had to be there, somewhere.
He looked around. There were several shelves, an entire section for it. "Somewhere..." He muttered to himself.
It was there she found it. The ultimate treasure. The actual Stunt Helmet from Kamen Rider Ichigo. Used in 1970-71 for the action shots and filming at a distance, this helmet was what launched the epic of tokusatsu that gave birth to everything from Garo to Sentai, Kikaider, and the Metal Heroes. Her music switched at that exact moment to Journey through the Decade by Gackt. the symbolism was not lost on her as she walked towards it, Her stride confident and straight. As she set her hand on the glass case surrounding it, she closed her eyes and took a deep breath in before looking down at the price tag.
$2000.
For such a important relic, this was a steal. Not many in the area respected the wonder of Napalm explosions, helmeted justice, and mean machine martial arts. She had the funds on her card to get it now. But it would be the last expensive purchase she could make before college. A thought went through her mind if the stand was included or if she would have to get a new one.

Ah, there it was. The Tokusatsu section. And upon further investigation, there were some Kamen Rider DVDs. His finger ran along the spines of the cases as he moved down the aisle, eyes searching. Titles flicked across his vision grid. No, it wasn't Decade. Not even Kabuto. Ah! There it was. Den-O. It was the right box set, and everything. Out of the section, the disc case was pulled. The Asian turned it over to look at the back, holding it with both hands.
His eyes skimmed the back, checking for important details, like subs, special features, and all that sort of stuff. Yep. It had them. Good.
Job done, he turned away from the section. Or tried to. Something passed across his vision field that caught his eye and held his attention like a television screen with vivid explosions on it does for a child.
"Oh, cool." He said. "That helmet's a bit of a relic," He commented, to no one in particular.
