The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

There was movement under the ice a struggle but the haired prehistoric elephant couldn’t break free. The ice kept climbing, directed by his hands he willed certain points in the ice to hold more pockets of air so he didn’t harm the creature despite it’s willingness to harm others. ”You were warned.” Sam said knowing this was just part of the problem. The other issue was the neanderthal using his element to harm people. Luckily he was busy battling whoever was able to wield fire in battle, long enough for Sam to take the mammoth off the board.
>>>“Have you killed the---MEGAFAUNA!”
On cue Sam spat on the ground to get the taste of blood out of his mouth, he’d live. Not a lot of people could say they went around with a mammoth and lived. Doc could heal him later, he’d live. ”Just notice?” Sam asked more to himself and the two clones that were forming and pulling themselves out from the ground.
”Damage control.” the one eyed icemancer commanded and waved his hand dismissing them. Both of which leapt off into different directions to help where they could while staying within range to Sam to access some of his abilities. One broke open a frozen cab door and helped some people out of the vehicle while the other jumped on a downed powerline pinning it in place so it couldn’t arc towards anyone.
>>>That’s the last straw! Die! Die! Every last one of you! Die!!!”
It got colder still, Sam took a few steps forward doing his best not to over extend himself. Combating the ice while trying to minimize his thermal sense so he wouldn’t be blinded Sam struggled at first to get a gauge with what he was dealing with. It was clear, Sam couldn’t hold back. The caveman needed to be stopped and if he didn’t stop him soon there was a chance the mammoth could be freed. Looking around he spotted the source of the heat, and flames. It was... Rex...
”You got to be kidding me.” the icemancer shouted moving closer to the firefighter who was fighting the frozen tundra with his powers. ”Way to downplay yourself!” Sam said landing close to Rex noticing his plight of frozen victims. They were frozen all for a moment when Sam arrived, either due to his powers alone or the help of Rex’s the ice melted around them and reformed into more clones. These however were just precautionary as he was already focusing on the two who were moving around elsewhere helping others escape and minimizing damage.
”Glad to see we got more in common. Can you throw flames?” Sam asked feeling himself get more and more used to the temperature drop one that was weird he wasn’t directly causing. The landscape was covered in snow, ice and cold. He hadn’t been this confident in his own abilities since he was last in the artic.
Shards of ice flew towards them and stopped short as they impacted Sam’s frozen hand. Snow fell harmlessly to the ground as more frozen sentinel Sam’s started to form.

”Still-” he inhaled and groaned trying to push himself out of the car that was wrapped around him he struggled until the ice behind him helped under the guidance of his own will, ”cool” even if it was trying to kill him and even if it was a mutant. Mammoth’s were always on his ‘too bad I can’t see it’ list.
The mammoth trumpeted and got closer swinging it’s tusks and trunk around upping another car closer by before getting to him. The mammoth however stopped short as the two clones fought back giving Sam the time he needed to break himself free. The clone on it’s back started to dig into the fur and pull the hairs while the other one leapt for the mammoth’s face.
Among the commotion Sam heard someone yelling in protest, “You shall not claim these souls tonight! My god is a consuming fire!” he didn’t know who shouted it but suddenly felt the need to make sure Rex was alright. He just got this new sponsor if he had to start all over again... ”Need a drink.” he moaned and moved away from the car.
The light from the flames illuminated their surroundings killing his motivation for thermal sense but giving his eye some things to focus on. ‘Ice age’ was gone fighting the flames. He saw the man leap around causing snow and ice to form trying to snuff the flames. Sam ignored him for the time, there was... more pressing matters like a car being flung at him.
Ducking and dodging the appendages with the help of his clones the neanderthal took to the air leaping from point to point until he stopped moving. Overlooking the chaos. He was up to something but Sam couldn’t see it, or feel it. Everything it seemed was working against him and his ability to get an understanding of his situation. ‘No killing’ rang out in his mind in the voice of a few women. All the promises he made over the years to people who were far more blessed than he.
”You were warned.” the icemancer finally said exhaling one last time but in doing so brought the frigid air under his control. ‘Ice age’ was so nice to give Sam all this ice and snow to work with. It meant he could focus on controlling instead of creating.
The clones on the mammoth got bigger and heavier as he used the two as focal points for the cold. His element. They grew bigger and slower as they continued to climb up the large beast until they were able to wrap their arms around the beast. They continued to grow until all the weight started to slow the mammoth. It’s legs now covered in ice, while it moved it broke but quickly reformed. Sam was literally turning the mammoth into a giant ice cube. All except for the tip of the trunk, that he left exposed because he wasn’t trying to kill the beast.
There was a roar, a weak one but the final plea as it tried to free it’s massive hairy self from the ice. Sam didn’t stop but kept adding the ice to thicken, strengthen and weigh down the beast of burden. He was making so the only way free was an icemancer. It was a move to distract but also alert the one who wanted this. An ice age.

Another one of the clones partially shattered as it held on for dead life only being fully destroyed with the second upturned vehicle that rolled away from the street. The heat was distracting to Sam, but he had enough experience with his abilities and his battle prowess to know how to multitask in the middle of the fight. Hoping that the heat source was indeed an ally he doubled down with his clones and formed another from the abundant source both he and the neanderthal wielded. The newest clone ran and leapt onto the mammoth’s back.
They were getting further away from Sam, something that would make controlling the clones increasingly difficult. The mammoth was just creating havoc the real dangerous one was the one who was throwing around his element hurting people. It was terrifying to see what ice could do when he didn’t use it that way, not in almost a decade. He couldn’t anymore. Sam was supposed to be the good guy.
Electricity cracked overhead as the powerlines separated creating a large bolt across the sky where the wires arched until they were too far apart. Next was a transformer and the block started to dim. Luckily it was in the city, while it was dark now there was enough light pollution to illuminate the area around them. It was dark but he could still see. His thermal sense now significantly focused on everything except the massive heat source helped as well.
The glow of the fire caught the icemancer’s attention. It was focused, calling all challengers letting them know that someone with immense power was there. Sam really hoped it was his back up and not the rest of the ‘prehistoric pals’ they didn’t need to add a meteor man to this.
Before Sam could follow and counter the caveman’s powers as he leapt away the team leader of the X’s attention had to shift to the mammoth who trumpeted as it approached charging straight for the real ice man. ”Nice try-” Sam started dodging the tusk at the last second only to be smacked with the trunk and batted into a car causing a portion of the vehicle to cave in. If it wasn’t for his armor he would have been injured badly.
”Nope. You got me on that one.” Sam coughed and wheezed expelling his lungs to catch his breath unaware it was Rex who was generating the distraction so he didn’t have to fight both of the snow bros. The mammoth roared and charged again.

Sam’s target was down, they were separated. Enough for them to be handled separately. The trunk whipped overhead of Sam and a clone reached out to grab the icemancer by the arm he ducked the initial attack and latched on to his clone and held on for life as the trunk flung from one side to the other.
When it was close enough to the ground Sam let go of the ice clone and landed on his feet with a slight slide on the ice. ”Easy now! You don’t have to fight anymore, big hairy guy is off your back and you can go back to what you were doing before he came a long.” Sam said hoping the creature was smart enough to know how things were going to end. He was on the news enough, and in the papers. If it wasn’t Sam stopping them there was his team members who were all more than capable of handling the pair.
The air was knocked out of the caveman with the kick and then he recovered it after the fall landing on his back and rolling to the side as Megafauna started thrashing about. A clone of ice appeared under Sam’s will and tried to land on the other icemancer but only managed to get a spear through the chest. The clone reached out then started to fall apart now that he was in the immediate reach of the cave man and his own ice powers.
”Looks like you ran out of time.” Sam said getting to his feet and walking over to the caveman who was busy picking apart his clone who still tried to reach out and grab at him to slow him down. It was so cold, his thermal vision gave him more to see than he cared to. Along with a sudden rush of heat, almost a wave of red, orange and yellow washed over the cold and he smirked.
”I don’t know who you pissed off but someone isn’t too happy.” he chuckled reforming another clone and sending it to the mammoth. ”There will be no ice age today, last warning.”

The icemancer remained somewhat silent as the exchange happened, it was cold enough outside where he didn’t have to effect anything too much to get his thermal sense pick up on the armed guards outside the door. Sam counted six and more, further down the corridor where the ‘reeducation’ was taking place.
”She has a point.” Sam said honestly looking to Weltigiest who just issued a ‘kill’ command to the blonde. A execution he wanted Sam to preform. His lone eye shifted to the blonde and his hand twitched on it’s own but reached down to his leg where he touched the spot where the wound was under the ice. The ice shifted under his touch and dug in to keep his mind right. Something to focus on instead of carrying out that order.
”I don’t think that’s in your best interest.” he said honestly, ”The appeal to Artemis, is she can communicate with all living creatures. I gave her the name because she is the best hunter I have ever run across. She doesn’t use Archery because she doesn’t like to get her hands dirty. She has those two...” he said nodding his head to the dogs who seemed very well behaved considering the room was so tense.
”Sea, sky, or land. Nothing happens without her knowing about it. If there are animals she has eyes and ears there. It would be foolish to get rid of someone so talented.” Sam said looking back to Weltgeist.
”I brought her here because I know her worth.” more than you and all your men. He didn’t' say the last part out loud. Sam was truthful when he said she could be useful. That was why he thought ahead and gave her the ear pieces.
”I don’t like getting orders to kill my friends.” he said honestly. ”So hard to find those loyal.” Sam waited for the next move to see if it was a hostile one. Liz needed protection first before he could do anything else.

”My mistake.” Sam retorted after seeing more innocent people get bombarded with shards of ice followed by patches on them. His own spear broke down and whirled around the cosplayed cave man before being sent back at him. He was still in midair meaning he couldn’t do much to get out of the way. However it was ice, his ice. Meaning there was no reason to. The shards of ice collapsed harmlessly onto his body suit of ice.
”No killing.” it was more to himself but being so close to the caveman it might have sounded like he was ordering the pair to follow his orders.
”Megafauna?” Sam questioned as he landed on the back of the mammoth his ice creating traction on the back of the beast so he could turn and battle the man who was trying to bring on the ice age. ”Not Manny? Or tusk?” one of the clones shattered under the weight of a car as the other one ducked then leapt onto the trunk of the behemoth.
”You were warned!” Sam shouted snapping out the back of his fist in a strike meant for surprise and dissertation followed by a front kick aiming to his chest. Sam’s current goal was to separate the two. Both of them must have been mutants. This didn’t reek of magic.
The clone’s body shifted slightly altering it’s fingers for claws to latch onto the beast. Thankfully Sam didn’t have to focus much on the clone, they knew what needed to be done. ‘Protect them.’ was the only command the winter warrior had given.

Arms hung at his sides waiting for the response, his fingers twitched at the ready while his breathing was slow and controlled. People were already hurt. Usually Sam didn’t give a warning, he was just doing this to be nice, that and he really wanted to see the mammoth up close. The situation would have been far cooler if the mammoth didn’t just throw a car.
Sam welcomed the chill and even took a few steps forward as the man playing neanderthal rallied his steed further. Magic again? Sam silently wondered, sure the man could have been a mutant but that would mean he got the beast from the ice age with other means. Magic to Sam seemed the most likely. Either way they were playing with his element.
While ice and cold crept outwards and added to the panic and confusion people scattered about abandoning their cars and avoiding flying ones from the mammoth. ”Fine. Have it your way.” Sam said lifting his hands and creating a wall of ice behind him. If only to shield anyone else behind him. The icemancer had a city to protect. His city.
”Sam’s attack!” Sam shouted, and just like that two identical ice clones of Sam freed themselves from the barrier of ice behind him each with a spear in hand. It was primitive but this was how they fought mammoth’s back in the day right? Luckily for Sam they could repair themselves when injured.
A spear of ice formed in Sam’s hand so he could lob it at the man controlling the beast. It wasn’t meant to kill of maim but get an idea of what the man was capable of. Another formed in his hand as he launched himself forward ready to bring it down on the caveman.

When they arrived on the scene Sam sighed even louder. ”Got to be ****ing kidding me.” the cold illuminated more than he could see, it was kind of nice because Sam didn’t have to create the cold as well. He just made it work for himself. Rex was the brightest thing nearby as people ran past fleeing from the beast from the ice age.
Sam had mixed feelings about the creature. While he thought they were the coolest version of an elephant he also had to put it into perspective that it was rampaging and... charging towards a group of cars. ”Guess we can talk more after.” Sam said his body already controlling the falling snow to coat his body.
There was already one visible injury as the man was swept up and hit a building, tumbling down to hit the ground. Sam raised his ahnd and shot a beam of blue to where the man was going to fall and landed in a giant hand of ice. ”How’s your first aide?” Sam asked turning quickly to Rex knowing he was a first responder given the man’s training. The snow turned to ice on his face and body giving him his cold blue armor.
”He’s gonna trample those cars!” the ice blades that shout out from the met with another beam of blue this time the blue turned to a thin wall given the distance Sam was from them. ”Help who you can!” Sam didn’t wait for a response and shot himself forward with a pillar of ice from under his feet toward the cars and the beast and the man riding it with a spear.
”You wouldn’t survive it!” he said controlling his fall with a beam of ice under his feet till he slid in front of the cars and the path of the wooly mammoth. The man was using ice. Sam’s element. There was never a more confident stance as Sam readied himself for another ice dagger attack. ”This is your first and only warning! Stand down before anyone else gets hurt!”

”All the time.” the icemancer said truthfully with a sigh, he would love to sneak off to some remote part of the world in the mountains somewhere with his dog and cat. Live a life there where he didn’t have to worry about the fate of the school, the kids that went there or the world itself. Eve and Cora wouldn’t like it one bit. Well maybe Cora if there were rocks to climb.
”Can’t though.” shrugging he continued, ”Every time I think I’m done I come to the realization that I have too much to make up for or there is someone who needs help and no one is willing to do anything.” it was a vicious cycle. One that would more than likely end with him in the ground. He could rest then.
”Gotta love what you do and you’ll never work a day in your life though right?” he asked. Either throwing a punch or taking one Sam did find it was what he enjoyed most. He was simple like that sometimes.
”Thanks.” Sam said honestly glad he did adopt Eve. She needed someone to be around and they were friends when she was an adult. It only made sense to him to keep treating her as one. ”Names?” asking about Rex’s kids hoping that it wasn’t a touchy subject. Most people in group had either loved ones taken from them or kept from them till they got their life together. Sam hoped Rex wasn’t either.
”Hmmm?” he asked realizing his thermal vision was causing his powers to make the air colder around them. ”Sorry, helps me see better at night.” he tapped to the side of his head with the eyepatch. ”But it shouldn’t be this cold.” something was off. Sam sipped his coffee one last time before it was empty. Why waste the stuff?
Rex’s thermal image grew a bit brighter enough where it stood out to Sam. Only for a second though, the ground rumbling was enough to draw his attention. ”You feel that?” Sam asked before moving forward quicker and quicker till he was running down the block. A few more people turned a corner and ran past. Someone shouted, “Run!”
”What the hell?” he asked staring in the direction of the commotion still trying to register what was happening.

Hands trembled in the ice armor as the pair continued on into the camp where the armed guards were waiting. They had orders to let the one known as Odin leave and return with another. They weren’t expecting one of their own vehicle. Some of the men looked actually disappointed when they discovered it wasn’t holding one of their own. Something even Sam could see given what was on his plate.
Sam’s limp was masked, blood formed and froze to his leg. It was a familiar pain one he welcomed, one he knew would keep himself focus and in control. Slate had prepared him for this and with all the other telepaths or ‘puppet masters’ Sam was well versed in what to do while dealing with them. Luckily his armor was the most important factor. As long as he had that up he’d be able to control his actions even if his body wanted to do something else. It was only allowed to move with the armor.
All he could do was watch as Liz exited the vehicle. He was supposed to be under control still so he waited for the dogs to do their thing. Both of them were the best boy’s for handling this situation. For Zorro this was relatively new but for Bruno... that poor dog already went through something like this a few times. Which was why ‘Ninja’ was one of the forbidden words around him. Acting as guide dogs they kept close to Liz and he gave them all a slight nod. One that was for more reassuring than anything.
The door didn’t open fast enough, Sam was still playing the part but knew that he still had some control when he was under the influence of Weltgeist. The armor guided his trembling hand and he pushed the doors open to see the puppet master standing over his maps once again. Now Sam could see a few ‘X’s in red no doubt where they looked or were looking.
”I’ve returned.” was all he said but folded his arms. More so to hide the hands shaking. Weltgeist shouldn’t think anything of it but it was more for Liz than anything. His powers ready to throw a wall up to protect them should anything happen. They were surrounded after all and while he ‘promised’ he wouldn’t' kill anyone... well he might have to break that promise if it meant that Liz and the animals would get home safe.
”This is one of my advisers.” Sam lied, ”You may address her as... Artemis.” he knew that wasn’t the right pantheon but the delivery should have been enough. She was after all someone who advised him regularly. Sam believed it and at the moment he was supposed to be under control.
A chill floated behind the icemancer ready to form another golem to stab him should anything go wrong.

So, there might have been some flaws in his plan. There always were not everything could always go right but what made Sam so great at what he did was he was a pro at getting out of bad situations. Maybe he should have given one of the birds the ear piece instead. That way he could keep his distance.
The familiar stabbing produced a loud grunt from the icemancer as he gritted his teeth. Focusing more on the pain than anything else he wanted to scream, kill someone or just... hit them over and over again. His focus was Weltgeist and Sam suddenly felt like he no longer wanted to help the man. Which was fine. In fact, he felt better about everything than he did a few seconds ago. Sam was going to help the man alright. By giving him his Ragnarök.
His approach was a little faster despite just being stabbed. The ice was working overtime, limiting his movements until he was sure that he was free from any control while trying to stop the blood from where he was just stabbed.
The interaction was a short one. Bruno greeted him with a loud excited bark and a tail wag but Sam raised his hand and issued his command. The large St. Brenard sniffed the air focused in on where Sam was stabbed then shied closer to Liz in the vehicle. Offering up the ear piece Sam kept his thousand-yard stare away from anyone or anything in the vehicle. Just in case.
”I’m sorry things turned out this way. Just, be smart. Follow my lead. Everyone we were looking for was there getting ‘educated’.” Sam lowered his hands after the air quotes and added, ”Everything is going to be fine, just pretend you agree with everything I say.” after showing her how to turn on the ‘noise canceling’ features on the ear pieces he led the group back to the base.
The walk was long for Sam, he refused to get into the vehicle. Each step was a reminder, he was alive, this was real and he was in control. Weltgiest made a terrible decision by trying to control him.

”No, the other Homer story.” he didn’t know if there were sirens in the Iliad and he didn’t need to know it right now. Just that she knew what he was asking. ”Not for me.” Sam said confidently.
”The ice is enough restraint for me. I need you to make it look like I’m doing what I’m told. You got one ear piece in. Maybe take mine? There is a feature that blocks noise on them. And if you can’t hear the command...” he said recalling one of his first fights in New York. The one with Raina’s brother.
”Hard to follow commands if you can’t hear them right?” Sam said continuing forward adjusting his ice so his movement was slowed. While he wasn’t outright defying Weltgeist, Sam was doing his best to figure out how to.
”It’s going to be fine.” Sam said trying to downplay her joke. She was nervous and for good reason. Sam was the fighter. Liz was supposed to be only search and rescue. Not that she couldn’t handle herself on the streets of New York but they were currently in a more intense situation. Fists and feet didn’t help much when there were a dozen guns on you.
”I get into situations like this all the time.” he said playing up his confidence. It would be fine right? His movement slowed again as a small form pulled itself from the ice and snow below his feet. Sam took two steps forward and stopped. The little form of ice reached back and jabbed into Sam’s leg. A spot he had been stabbed hundreds of times when he was at his lowest. When he questioned reality. The form was of his daughter. One who didn’t exist.

Legs moving on their own were difficult to counter. Sam could feel himself wanting to move his legs on his own, to find Liz. It was what was requested of him and Sam had enough sense to tell the difference as to why he wanted to find her. For her to get to safety. Not by following him, no doubt Weltgeist wanted that. Maybe he should?
Sam’s hand trembled into a fist as he kept moving more due to the ice armor closing in around it. His powers seemed to be working a little bit differently under Weltgeist control. Which was good. This was nothing like Private Dancer’s powers. More like Amanda’s powers if anything. Only he was actually conscious the whole time. Not just seeing it in his nightmares. Sam made sure to stop thinking about Amanda. He didn’t need another manipulator in his head at the moment. One was enough.
The birds circled once then took their perches on his shoulders. Sam slowed. Liz was with him now, that was what Weltgeist wanted. However that also meant once he got close enough to the base she’d lose command of the birds. Sam frowned under his armor. He wanted to bring her. The snow around Sam’s feet shifted under the direction of his power for a moment and then he snapped his fingers (something Sam intended).
”Liz. Got an idea. You’re probably not gonna like it though...” he said talking to the birds hoping she was listening. ”I was instructed to collect you. Almost compelled to do it however I know what's going to happen when I do. I’m pretty sure I can get myself out of this, you on the other hand... not sure my methods will work the same.” he said not outright saying ‘I’m going to stab myself!’
”You familiar with the works of Homer? Pretty sure your boyfriend and you gab about all this stuff.” he said smirking under his armor making sure not to release his body from it for fear what he might do. ”How’d they ignore the call of the sirens?” knowing it was a long shot.

Growing up as a trained killer they usually neglected to drill in the ‘consequences’ it was something Sam had to learn for himself over the years which usually led to some ‘disagreements’ with his team. Something he struggled with but was still trying to learn. He adapted and that was what he was best at. Bad decisions or not.
”Well, I’m a teacher at the mansion. Specialize in ‘self-defense’. Given my background and history it made sense to help out the school that took me in. So when I’m not drilling in ‘keep your hands up’ I’m avoiding paperwork.” Sam said raising a hand to cover his blind side while the other lifted the hot coffee to his mouth.
Taking a sip he continued, ”Also help teach control for the kids that don’t... have that much control over their powers. Given the school being so full of kids like that it keeps me pretty busy. All hours which is good. I don’t sleep much anyways.” he didn’t elaborate on his lack of sleep but continued on. ”I live for those, ‘Ah-ha’ moments when the lightbulb goes off and the kids suddenly aren’t afraid of themselves.” he sipped again.
”Volunteer work is something else I get a kick out of, though it’s less soup kitchens and more getting shot at by bank robbers.” Sam reached down into his wallet and flashed a ‘police’ badge for Rex showing it off. ”Always someone that needs to be stopped.” he said elaborating that he liked to stay busy.
”Also adopted a kid recently. She’s... more than a handful.” Sam said hoping Eve wasn’t setting a fire to the mansion chemistry lab or terrorizing his dog with her giant guinea pig. ”and when I’m not dealing with all that I like being out in the woods. Find it relaxing. Away from problems and people.”
Continuing on their walk Sam ignored the green scaled man who rushed past. The wind however did catch his attention as he caught a piece of paper out of the air as it floated in front of him. Most of it was reactionary and he didn’t notice he did it till the paper was in his hand. Frowning he threw it out in the nearest bin as they walked past.
It was way too windy. Something was... off. Using the cold in the air already around them his thermal sense illuminated the streets more than his single eye could. Just in case.

The icemancer half-listened to Weltgeist and Shultz’s interactions Sam was too busy trying to figure out the power the man held over him before he did anything he’d regret it was taking all he had to hold back his ‘control defense’ response. Making sure there were no little girls appearing out of thin air made of ice he flexed his hands the best he could. It seemed easy enough but Sam felt he had to think about it too much to get the hand to do what he wanted. The ice over said hand was more compliant.
”She isn’t exactly the friendly type.” Sam lied to the man before his body started to move to the door. Once again Sam was doing everything in his power to break the hold short of getting stabbed by his own power.
As he passed Shultz, Sam’s lone eye locked on the man as a chill surrounded him. ‘I’ll kill you for this.’ it didn’t need to be said but the message got across as Schultz backed up to a wall and slunk down a bit before the door opened for the icemancer. ”You should hold you’re breath.” he shouted back to Weltgeist as he moved down the hallway back the way he came.
It was a slow walk back, every step he tried to stop himself without his powers. The armor moved with him but it was staggered and slower. He wouldn’t do well in a fight like this so he decided to buy some time. Or was it the puppet masters plan all along? Sam didn’t have time to dwell on it. He was too close to Liz now. Bruno was the first to sound his arrival.
”Liz.... Keep your distance!” Sam shouted to her as he approached. ”Land the birds on me!” he said hoping to communicate with them instead of her directly.
