The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

“Oh, no!” Shaking her head. “No one tries testing me and no one has been violent towards me. Most people I know like me.” A sweet little smile accompanied her statement.
When Orochi commented on the odd games played with animals Victoria blushed. “Yeah, but it was fun while it lasted.” Then a curious look and a slight tilt of the girls head. “What do you do for fun?” This could be an interesting answer, or it could be a dull one. Didn’t dragons just lay around all the time? “And what’s a…whatever it was you called me? I hope it’s not a bad thing.” The dragon’s comment on her caring about her dress caused the girls hands to smooth over her current dress. “I love my dresses. They’re so pretty and they remind me of my mommy.”
Heeding Sam’s first warning about making sure to snap back the punches and kicks, Victoria considered what if someone did catch one of her limbs. What if she increased her flexibility so as to strike the person if they had hold of her leg? She wasn’t worried about being broken *rolls eyes*, but what if she could still strike back while being partially incapacitated? That would be useful right?
Sam went on about the new kick and how it was strong but not like in the movies. “But I might kick someone through a window or wall if I get stronger.” Immediately the girl pictured herself kicking someone and sending them bursting through a window ‘just like in the movies’. “I know I need to protect my friends, but if someone tries hurting them then they’ll get hurt instead.” A look of fierce determination flashed in her ruby red eyes.
Now a new challenge presented itself with Sam’s instruction. He wanted to see her take out a bunch of punching bags as he called them. She listened while looking around to see if she could locate any of the other targets besides the one near her teacher. 15 minutes should be enough time but Victoria didn’t know how far out her targets went. Might as well ask. “Umm…how far…” “Begin.” A huff exhaled Victoria’s nostrils when she didn’t get to finish her question. Fine then.
Trying to imagine that these punching bags were coming to hurt her friends Victoria focused on what needed to be done as she began sweeping the area. Random targets popped out along her path and as she got closer to each one she struck with whatever attack quickly came to mind. Some went down with a single strike to the center while others she tried a combination of strikes. A leg kick followed by a kick to the side, or a mix of punches. She was playing with what felt comfortable following up with whichever attack she started with. As the little vampire progressed through the targets she became more and more confident in what to do. Her kicks and punches snapping out and then back.
A subtle sigh of relief came from the little vampiress when Orochi stated he wasn’t going to test her. Her face quickly lit up with her sweet smile as she curtsied. “I’m very pleased to hear that my new friend.” She really was grateful as she hated when her dresses would get torn up for any reason. They were the only things that helped her feel like a normal girl.
“Well, it wasn’t on purpose. A friend of mine had a pair of dogs he commanded and he got distracted. See, what we were doing was he was making his dogs give sleigh rides, but we used a blanket tied to the dogs as the sleigh. The dogs were only supposed to run around in circles, but I heard a phone ring and then my friend said something that I couldn’t make out. Suddenly his dogs took off as fast as they could down the hallway and jumped through the window with me still on the blanket. I was holding on tight. Next thing I know we’re landing outside in the snow and tumbling across the ground. My dress got messed up and I wasn’t very happy, but I Eventually realized it was an accident. My friend apologized to me many times.”
Nodding in acknowledgement to the explanation of the other two named students Sam kept going while Victoria’s brain was trying to pop out questions. Yet his words kept her questions from ever making it to her mouth as he reminded her of his ‘death’. What he said made sense. This whole practice ‘wasn’t happening’ if anyone were to ever ask.
Taking a deep breath she nodded with a renewed focus in her eyes. “Right. Technique before speed. I’ll remember, I promise.”
Returning to her fighting stance she watched Sam perform the newest kick. “I’ve seen that done lots of times in movies and the person getting kicked always flies back into a table or goes out a window or sometimes through a wall. So it must be strong.”
In typical fashion Victoria went through the mechanics of the side kick. Leg up while bringing her knee close to her chest and thrusting out while trying to point the kick with her heel as she had observed Sam doing. Several more times at a slow and methodical pace to ensure all the correct motions were performed, and then she fired off a couple at a faster pace. “Was that good teacher?”, she said while her leg was still out stretched.
“Yes, mutants are a varied lot. I think there might be a great many abilities that mutants can have. It’s actually quite fun seeing and learning about new mutants.” Another smile spread over the girl’s lips. Just from the few mutants she had seen or gotten to know proved how diverse the spectrum of mutations could be.
Looking back at the great dragon Victoria had a glimmer of dread in her eyes. It wasn’t for the fact that Orochi wanted to see how tough she was. No, it was because whatever demonstration she might take part in had a large possibility of ruining her dress. “Well, I’ve been flung out of a second floor window at the mansion without a scratch. I don’t know what you’d want to see though.”

Smiling big at the praise from her teacher Victoria’s face quickly turned to one of curiousness with a slight tilt of the head. “Koga and Gawain? Are they some more of your students? Speaking of which, will I ever see other students in your class? Don’t get me wrong, I really like the one-on-one learning. I was just wondering.”
Sam introduced another kick technique and the girl again watched him attentively. When her teacher had performed the new kick a few times Victoria slowly went through the motions. Feeling extremely confident she tried a full speed kick. This didn’t go so well unfortunately, as the power of her kick swung her around spinning her like a top and sending her spiraling down to the ground in a rather undignified manner.
Her cheeks flushed red with embarrassment Victoria picked herself up and with her head tilted down she peeked upwards at Sam. "I'll go slower for now."

Continuing to listen to Orochi speak, Victoria was liking the serpent more and more. She found him interesting in many ways. The way he regarded things such as names and titles. Not many did that here in America. At least not the way that people from the “Old World” did. Kings, Queens, Emperors and such. The girl always loved majestic things and Kings, Queens and dragons all fell in that category for her.
“I am pretty tough.” A nod accompanied her statement. “So I guess my father’s wish came true.” Striking a playful pose she pretended to flex her muscles like a typical super hero. “I do agree that the human form is rather frail…” Thoughts of some of the things she had done to people flashed through her mind. How weak they were and how easily she overpowered them. “…but no. Not even the mightiest blow could break me.”
