The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Aedus nodded, maybe he would take it back and hand it to the woman behind the counter with just his name and number on it.
“Yeah, comic book guys are typically a little bit more timid around the average female, but in their own domain, you’ll have to keep your defenses up. once you have the job you’ll have to tell me how that works out.” a mischievous grin dominated his features.
Aedus tilted his head as a man that was oddly familiar did his thing in the store…his thing involved a lot of variations to the left and right. He now felt a little bit bad about leaving this situation in Rebecca’s hands, but then again he was pretty sure she would have to deal with worse, than a man dancing to his heart’s content with absolutely not a care in the world.
He said he would let her handle it so he would. Hey, it was Akshay! He took a step back so he would be out of Rebecca’s sight, though flappy McGee up there was making a fine distraction. Once he caught Akshays attention he would point to his eye. Waves his hands and shake his head. Point to his nose. And point to Akshay.
Eye,Don’t,Nose,You.
Was the message he was attempting to get across. He wanted Rebecca to feel she got the job on her own, then again she might be grateful and impressed that he could pull strings for her….Come on Aedus! She’s 18! leave the girl alone...unless she initiates something. Gah! The signals would immediately stop if Rebecca happened to look to him.
Aedus shook his head and watched the old men get read to throw their shots. Shamus lined up his first throw And Aedus sneezed a terribly loud sneeze. the old man's dart didn't even hit the board. Oops. The next two shots went to crap as he was too flustered and grumpy to concentrate. Shamus glared at Aedus.
"bad timing old man, I apologize." to be fair he did make the pre-sneeze sounds.
O'leary raised an eyebrow at him and then threw three darts that brought their score down to 1. Aedus looked over to David. " What should I hit?" Aedus grinned at the man. and hit the board in the spots that he suggested, leaving the clean up to David.
Aedus turned to the women after pig exited the car and attempted to devise a plan in the time they had. “When the time comes run as fast and har out of here, try to get the car if you can I will cover you guy’s escape, if either of you get out call, MRC and try to get them here. It is going to be hard to work in this situation with those guns.
The men pulled Emily out of the car and were paying attention to sir snorts over there. The pig got out in excitement leaving the keys in the ignition “Lydia, when I get out of the car, climb through the window and get into the driver’s seat and get the hell out of here. Call the MRC and keep your head down in case they fire on you..
Aedus exited the car on his own to add to a distraction, Pig was coming around the car to put him in a cage and Aedus punched the snorting man as hard as he could across the Jaw. The man went down hard holding his Jaw. Aedus brandished an obsidian smile. The car behind him took off at a wild speed. Hopefully Lydia would get clear and get help. I t was their best hope.
The man in the lab coat Shrieked at him for damaging pig and then started shouting “ Dont shoot the car. The third girl is no use to us dead!” The gunmen turned on him holding the weapons steadily at him; he glanced to see that none were pointed at Emily. That was a relief.
“You think I am going to let you put me in a cage when you plan to butcher me anyway? I think I’ll take my chances.”
Aedus waved away the Debt. "Nah, I was going to make a play for myself and Veronica here, anyhow.I'm happy to have brought you along, not your fault that tiny blonde made us dizzy." Aedus shook his head and grinned. " I think he needs to get some bad Intel on his next outing from his good friend Akshay."
He watched the words spring up out of nowhere. "You should think about going into the sign making business, my family excels in mutant related business, throw some paint on these bad boys and you could have a great product at a low cost...if you want to you can give my brother a call and he could see you got started on solid ground."
Veronica waved to Akshay and looked down warily at the teen on the ground ensuring that he legs were together to stop any temptation of doing something that might cause her to give the wasted lump on the ground a highheeled kick to the head.
Aedus looked over to the dread head on the ground and waved over a waitress, "Can we get a ginger ale, and two coffees?" the question shot at Veronica. After a nod he continued. "two coffees and, do you want anything Akshay?"
Aedus nodded. " I believe that is one of Akshay's talents."
Aedus was used to vigorous exercise and immediately saw the value in the command from the man before him. He worked out hard and often as his calves, abs and biceps attested. He wasn’t a stranger to yoga and other forms of exercise that helped his body stay in tip top shape.
Aedus ensured that all the muscles he thought would be getting the most work got the most stretching. Aedus quickly unwrapped the cloth that was a flag for the Angle blade forge. He left the sheath over the blade for now there was no reason to draw steel on a sword master…unless they requested it and
Aedus stepped to Sebastian’s side and watch how he held the sword and copied the grip as best he could. Trying to ensure that he put each of his fingers in the same place as his sensei.
“ No problem girlie!” came the peppy reply of the woman in work mode.
Aedus walked out of the store with his application in hand, “ Do you want an extra? I’m not sure why she gave me one.” Adeus let a smirk settle onto his face “ I am pretty sure that they’ll hire you in a heartbeat, pretty girls are like geek bait, you would be great for business. Comic guys coming in to see you and hopeful making a purchase while they are there. I can’t see them turning you away.” He shook his head slightly. Aedus lead the way indeed, following the rather simple directions to the comic book shop He looked at the cardboard cutouts in the window and the wallpaper-esque spread of comic posters on the window. He never really understood comics, He already had a whole family of amazing mutants to be jealous of growing up as a kid he didn’t need super heroes to daydream about to. Besides why read about exciting events, when you could make them happen. Aedus opened the door to the comic book shop and waited for the young lady to enter. Thinking about how the young lady was taking the initiative to do the job hunting, he would stand back on this one. “this one is all yours.” He said to Rebecca as they entered.
“Something Fancy. Apparently. Baristas choice?” Aedus looked at the man across from him sizing him up, he didn’t get it…maybe she just liked a man in an apron. He glanced to his right where the woman would be. Aedus knew when he wasn’t going to make headway and he might as well help the two of them potentially find happiness.
“I was going to try to see about getting the ladies number, but she only has eyes for you, Champ.” Aedus smiled politely.
Aedus nodded to the acceptance of his compliment, it was only a half denial. At least she didn’t retreat from it. “ well that’s ok, that gives you a clean record, I don’t know if cooking will come up unless you are looking for restaurant work, which can take some of the fun out of it. Polite and hard working however are good assets.”
Aedus nodded and closed on the building, upon arriving they entered and went straight back to the counter bypassing the line to attempt to get an application.
“Excuse me miss, could we get an application.” Aedus would have let Rebecca ask her self but the woman behind the counter was busy and he only had her attention for a moment. The brunette behind the counter replied as she worked. “We’ve been meaning to take the now hiring sign down, they hired two new girls that day, but if one of them doesn’t work out we’ll give you a call. As she waited for the woman to slide her debit card she retrieved two applications and handed them over. I noticed a comic book shop hiring on the way in today. If you go out and to the left near the end of the block, its title is a lord of the rings reference, I forget what.”
“Thanks.” Aedus looked to Rebecca. He would leave his application blank and toss it at some point but it wouldn’t hurt to not turn it down immediately.
“I was born here. I’ve spent the majority of my life in Manhattan, only been out of New York city a hand full of times, and never out of the state. The only thing that I really miss when I am in the city is the stars, it is amazing how the sky looks when there aren’t hundreds of city lights obscuring your vision of them.”
Aedus talked right back trusting in the driver to take them to where ever they were supposed to be heading. The look on the face of Emily and Lydia seemed to mirror each other, confused concern.
“Hey Dalsim,” Aedus looked from the I.D of the obviously Indian man, to the Dark Latin driver and realized that even as observant as he was of his driver, he had made a mistake, the latin Man was no Dalsim. “Where do you think you are taking us? “
((Its your show Emily, I’m not sure what the cabbie is up to but I love the twist!))
Aedus let a small smile settle on his face as his expensive bluff paid off.
The effects seemed to be warring off of Aedus fairly quickly, perhaps it was his alcohol tolerance kicking in and working against the mutation, he wasn’t sure. Perhaps it was because the little wicked blonde hottie split the effect on him and his new acquaintance. “Just a man with a plan.” Aedus stepping over the teen, he placed the word ‘guys’ on a coffee table he pet the word to feel the texture and try to figure out what exactly the thing was made out of.
“I’m Aedus Teague by the way, no one the bouncers should have actually known by the way.” He looked to his date and considered that he could have kept that quiet, but he liked to play it straight and honest. Hopefully pulling this off would be enough. “So, Armor huh?” He looked quizzically at the wordsmith. He looked to the teen rolling navigating the floor. Maybe he would let him get some sleep before he made sure he got home safely.
The woman bowed slightly. “ It doesn’t work on family, my ability, otherwise my brother and I would have handled it. I appreciate you guys doing what you did.”
The male mutant came running back down an alleyway with a baseball bat. And slowed as he saw the broken thugs on the ground and looked to the men sheepishly. “Isis you ok? You guys alright?” observing that they were ok the male continued. “Do you guys want to eat diner with us? If you don’t stay in her range for a bit you will fill the results of the enhancement a lot more than you might other wise..”
She nodded. “it’s a good Idea let the effect heal you all the way up before you move on. besides Tobias is a fantastic chef. “
Aedus looked over to Jules, “ I dunno about you Jules, but Im in.”
The quartet walked to down the alley way and into a older building, the apartment was modest but felt like home, all of the tell tale hallmarks of a loving family filled the little place. perhaps that was just the endorphins being pumped out by Isis.
Aedus stumbled forward and caught the word Guys, not knowing what to do with it he simply held it awkwardly not knowing if just being there was all it was going to do, you never could tell with mutant. " Seriously Guys!" heh. "I think someone spiked us. everything was copa copa copacetic and then next thing I know blame I am wasted, I only had four drinks and I'm Irish, I drink like a well and don't get dizzy, this is crap! "
His eyes went to the teen with Dreads who was still dancing as he was being semi dragged towards the door. He then started to wiggle his tongue in the air and Aedus couldn't help but be somewhat appalled.
"whoa whoa whoa fellas, you don't know who I am." a Man who knew how to bluff." Let us wait it out in the VIP, I'm good for the fee," He waved to his dance partner and she stumbled over just as wasted as the rest of them. " Look," A pair of hundreds slid into the bouncers pocket. " It's new years, Lets get along, let us into the lounge, if we cause too much trouble there, throw us out. you get your tips, the waitress in the lounge makes more the club makes more, everybodies happy."
The bouncer looked dubious.
Aedus grinned, he had him on the hook. "Could we get an escort there?/" The group of linebackers changed direction and proceeded to move the four of them towards a stair case that went to where the high rollers partied. once they were in, they could get away with whatever they wanted.
Aedus nodded to the guy in the armor and the dread head teen.
Da smirked at Aedus and raised an eyebrow, and then he raised both eyebrows a couple times. A question and a comment said with two bush black brows. The pair followed along and grabbed dessert, the men listened to the comments with ease, his father knowing good and well that he would get the full report out of Aedus's mother later whether he liked it or not.
Aedus smiled and was happy to listen to all Noel had to say, he was coming up as the prodigal son. certainly not the trouble maker they sent off to college. Not that his mother wouldn't have used his trouble making days to his disadvantage. The Teague men grabbed several desserts and Da made good use of his time with Noel distracted to cheat on his diet. It was thanksgiving! if you couldn't cheat on a diet then, when could you?
"So, son, How are you? Are you considering trying to play for the team again?"
"Not really dad, I'm concentrating on my career at the moment." he then looked at his pop and laughed. "that and you know, getting used to this."
His dad nodded. "its a good look on ya, I always said you should were more black."
"Shes Nice." His father stated.
"Yeah." Aedus replied with just the right tone to tell his dad everything he needed to know with out making his thoughts about Noel obvious. They had enough conversations about women that his dad would pick up on the fact that he liked her but he didn't see it going anywhere, not due to any reasons of his own. " She is a lot of fun to be around."
Aedus didn't however think about the fact that Noel could just as easily remember those conversations if she liked.
By the time the ladies had gotten done chatting the Men were leaning back in their chairs Da Teague looking over stuffed. While Aedus wore the same posture his stoney exterior hadn't changed much at all.
Aedus held the door as Lydia slid into the seat and he sat next to her. Aedus was not the type to shy away from sharing a small space with two attractive and possibly available women. " Of course." the smell in the car reminded him of flowers and a scent he couldn't quite place but reminded him of his sister in law who seemed to always have a new nephew or niece on her hip. It was a pleasant scent.
"HI Dalsim," Aedus peered at the name tag on the cabdrivers license. " could you take us to Kaliente Mamsita. ~Hot Mama~ It sounded like a spanish gentlemen's club, but it was a place that made perhaps the absolutely best Chile rellonos not to mention they had spanish rice that seemed to always eclipse the already amazing food that was on your plate.
His mouth watered just thinking about the Chipotle cilantro rice.
