The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Van led Henrietta by the hand to their destination. The brunette glanced around at all of the abandoned playground equipment. There was so much frost on everything. Everything looked so shiny and beautiful. Henri had never thought of a junkyard as being anything except junk until that moment. It was weird how a person could make you view things differently. It seemed that since she had started hanging out with Van, she had tried more and done more than she ever had. It was nice to have someone who could make her spread her horizons.
The boy released her hand and sat down on one of the swings. Henrietta sat on the other swing that wasn’t cracked. Looking at Van, she smiled. “It’s all so sparkly and pretty. I’ve never seen anything like this before.” She pushed her feet against the ground to make the swing move back and forth. Glancing at the boy again, she pumped her legs slightly. “Have you been coming here for a long time then? I probably would if I knew about it. It must be nice to have somewhere that people don’t come to.”
Henrietta had never been on a date before, but she was pretty sure this was the best one someone could possibly have. She hoped that he was having fun too. A wild guess said he was enjoying it because he had brought her to the place.
Noel confessed to Juka how she felt. Henrietta could tell that it automatically hurt Juka’s feelings. He told the brunette that he enjoyed meeting her, but he had decided to leave. She couldn’t blame him, really. Noel hadn’t been too friendly towards him. Juka began to walk away and Henri felt her heart sink slightly. Looking at a clock, she saw it was starting to get late. The girl felt that she should be heading back to the Mansion soon, but she couldn’t leave Juka feeling down and lonely.
Reaching her hand out, Henri started to touch his left shoulder gently. “Juka,--“ The girl knew what it was like to feel lonely. He had that look about him now. “Please, don’t go. I, um, I need help finding my way back home.” It was a lie, but Henrietta had enjoyed talking to the eccentric man in the dress. She felt bad that she hadn’t stuck up for him at all.
Glancing at Noel, she smiled. She liked Noel too, but Juka and her weren’t getting along. That was okay. You don’t have to like everyone. The brunette knew that, but still.
Fairytale Beginnings Henrietta Braun is dropped off at the Xavier Sister School by her mother, who is trying to rid her reputation of the mutant girl. A boy named Calley appears in a prince costume and shows the new girl around.

((Well, no one else is posting, so I guess I'll type one up. ))
The way the man talked sounded flirty or something. Well, maybe not flirty, but like he was sucking up. He may have really thought those things. How was she suppose to know? The brunette's hair fell back to her shoulders when he apologized for reaching for her hair. "It's fine. When I notice someone has a mutation, I always want to ask tons of questions." The girl smiled slightly and then took a bite of her salad. Setting her fork back down, she took a drink of water from her bottle. Man, I'm hungry.
Daimon said he was interested in what mutants could do. Henri had seen some pretty interesting stuff all right. She wasn't sure what he meant when he had said 'what they could become', but figured she should just drop it. He could go more indepth if he felt like it.
The door to the cafe had made another 'ding'ing noise as someone walked in. She glanced up quickly. All of a sudden she was afraid those thugs had found them. Her breathing became more shallow. They had a knife and Henrietta wasn't sure, but they could even have a gun or something. I may have scared one off, but what if there are more? What if they are part of a gang? What if-
Her thoughts were interrupted when she saw the people who had came in. Of course, it wasn't those men, just a couple of women who were chatting away. The girl stared at them a moment and then looked quickly down. She hoped no one noticed that she had a mini-freak out. Her fork was clutched in her hand as if she intended to use it to defend herself. She didn't remember picking it up because she had been so focused on the door.
Thy boy began to say something to her, but he ended up stopping. It had started with a 'holy crap', so it may have been that he was impressed. Henri felt herself blush at the thought of impressing the young man.Van walked over and placed his hand on her shoulder. He told her they could leave if she wanted to, but he'd never been caught. Henrietta look up at him. I trust him. We wouldn't be here if he thought we'd get caught.
After thinking about it a minute, the girl stopped freaking out and took Van's hand. "What did you want to show me?" She gave him a smile, but part of her was still scared she had just done something very bad. Part of the girl now thought she was a criminal. Glancing over her shoulder to look at the fence one last time, she took a deep breath. "It'd better be pretty cool for me to have broken into a junkyard for," she joked. The brunette laughed a little and then looked at all of the tires laying about.
The girl tried to think of what could be so cool in a junkyard. Well, there ARE a lot of tires. Maybe climbing them is awesome. Henrietta tilted her head slightly in thought. Actually, you could probably see a lot from up there. Of course, there was always the off chance that there could be a horrible tire avalanche. That would be a horrible, rubbery way to go. She almost thought smelly too, but Henri wasn't sure if that was only they were burning.
The couple had ended up tying, whether that was accurate or not didn't matter to either person, so it seemed. After they had walked off the bus, she noticed they were outside a junkyard. Henri watched as the boy stretched over the fence. It looked like she was suppose to climb, but she wasn't sure how that would work out in a dress. Glancing around, she found the lock on the fence. Picking it up her right hand, she bent her head closer. About 20 strands of hair moved in unison toward the part of the lock that had a grip around the gate to keep it shut. Closing her eyes, her hair lashed out at the lock.
The girl was afraid to open her eyes and see the results of her effort. Opening her left eye, she looked at the lock. She had cut straight through it. Henrietta's eyes got big in suprise and then she looked at the boy. "I didn't actually think it would work. I was curious if I could..." Still looking at Van, she blinked a few times and then dropped the lock. Pushing slightly on the gate, it cracked open a few inches. She looked around to make sure no one had seen and then she went inside the gate.
Once she was inside, she pushed it shut behind her and took a few deep breaths. Have I just broken into a junkyard? Leaning against the fence, she sighed. What if they got caught? It would be all her fault. Why didn't she think about things more? Henri looked apologetically at the boy. "I'm sorry. Maybe we should go before someone notices. I don't want to get you in trouble or anything." She fidgeted as she looked back out the fence.
Ruby didn’t want to be world’s tallest man tall, just Henri tall. Henrietta smiled at the girl. She couldn’t get over how cute she was. Her bushy fox tail would wag randomly as she talked and the way she put ‘miss’ in front of their names was so charming. She was just so sweet and polite. The brunette found herself wishing that she had a little sister. She always wanted siblings, but her mother wouldn’t ever date so there was no way that she was ever going to get a dad or a sibling.
Henrietta listened as Ruby talked about her sister Emerald. She smiled. “Well, I enjoyed hanging out with your sister. She was very nice.” It was true. The girl named Emmy had been kind. She even let Twyla and Henri pet her while she was in wolf form. Not everyone would let random people pet them as if they were some sort of puppy companion.
Ruby mentioned running with her elder sister. Henri gave a huge grin. “I love to run. I was in track back home. I was quite the hurdle leaper. I’m not sure if I could keep going for 5 miles. It would probably take a lot of stamina and practice. I admire your sister for being able to run so much. It’s very impressive. Not many people enjoy running for so long.” The brunette smiled at Twyla when she talked about slowing down Emerald.
“Well, Twyla, I’m no good at balancing. I have to say, you’re pretty talented when it comes to gymnastics. I can’t do that stuff. Not being able to run is just one thing, you know?” Henrietta smiled at her best friend. She definitely admired her skills on the bars and what not. All of the 16 year-olds muscles lied in her long, gazelle-like legs.
It seemed as if all the girls were now enjoying the large couch’s comfy-ness. It got quiet as they all sat there a moment. Luckily, Twyla said something and Henri felt her eyes flutter open. She hadn’t even realized that she dozed for a second. The girl yawned and waited to hear how old the younger girl was.
The boy began to explain the rules of the game, but he was interrupted by his phone ringing. It took her a minute to realize what song it was. “Milkshakes” by Kelis began to play loudly from his pocket. He reached around inside of it as he danced. He pulled out his cell and Henrietta began to laugh. The girl managed to cup her hand over her mouth when he picked up the phone. She giggled behind her hand slightly. He hung up and then Henri grinned at Van. “I love your ringtone. It’s a good song to dance to.”
All of a sudden, Van’s arm flew out across her to point out the window. She followed his finger to see a woman in a striped dress. Henri smiled and blushed slightly as he pulled his arm back. He said he now had a million points. Part of the girl wanted to argue with the point system, but she couldn’t make herself do it. Looking at him, she just couldn’t. If he wanted to win, that was fine with her.
Glancing out the window, she saw a man in a striped shirt with glasses, Henrietta pointed out the window at him. “Look, that’s two things similar to Waldo.” Turning to Van, she smiled slightly. “What is that? Like 100 points?” She looked back at the man. He was probably in his late 30’s and was already starting to bald. The brunette felt bad for him. Henri felt her hair twitch slightly. What would I do without my hair? I would hate not having it. She began to think that it would be like part of her was missing. Her writhing hair had protected her in the past.
Noel told Henrietta it was her turn. Looking at the woman, she stood up. “No, no. You should keep looking if you want. I just don’t have the money for any of these things. It’s not that I’m not interested.” She felt guilty for making the other girl want to leave so soon. Henri turned and looked at Juka to see if he wanted to leave the store. “Besides, I don’t really know any stores around here or anything…”
Juka felt that Noel didn’t trust him. Henrietta glanced between the two people. She didn’t know either of them very well, but she didn’t get bad vibes from one person or the other. Noel didn’t seem to trust the odd man. Henri wasn’t sure if it was because of his appearance or if it was because he was a man in general.
Henri looked around and then down. She was hoping this wouldn’t become a fight or something ugly.
Juka said he wanted to be a superhero. Henrietta tilted her head as she pictured him with a cape and a large ‘J’ on his shirt. She smirked to herself slightly and almost began to giggle. Luckily, she stopped herself before it happened. She wasn’t sure how you were appointed a superhero. Maybe it was when you became an X-Men. She wasn’t for sure. Henri didn’t know much about all of the mutant groups you could join. It would be interesting to find out at some point.
Henrietta smiled. Twyla told Juka that he could come too. The brunette felt a little bit more comfortable already. She didn’t have to tell him that he couldn’t come. Twyla was always very nice, so the girl had figured it would go well. The blonde wanted to go to the block pit. Henri rubbed one foot on top of the other nervously. “Yeah, but I’m going to need your help. I’m not very coordinated.” The girl felt a blush come to her face. The only thing that didn’t make her look like a long, flimsy loser was the hurdles. God bless hurdles.
What Twyla said to Juka was true. It would be better if he started out slow. Going all out when you’re just starting to workout was never good. Henri remembered when she first started training for track. The girl had pushed herself really hard and had ended up tripping and spraining her ankle. Well, it wasn’t so much tripping as it was passing out. She couldn’t breathe well, but continued to run until the point where she became light headed and her vision got blurry. It was scary, but she was way too stubborn to give up on running.
Henrietta grinned at Emerald. It was awesome that she was enjoying their company so much. The brunette loved getting to know people and she was starting to like Emmy quite a bit. “I’m glad that you’re having fun too, both of you. This has been very cool. We should hang out again sometime after this.” The 16 year-old had been pretty happy since getting here. She had made some friends that didn’t care what she was. It was different for her, but amazing.
Henri glanced down at her soda pop.”No, it’s not, I’m afraid. I do like root beer though. There may be one in the kitchen fridge, if you’re interested.” The girl smiled at Emerald and then listened as Twyla talked about how gross root beer was. Henrietta laughed. “To each their own, I suppose. I don’t mind it, but I do love Pepsi. It’s my favorite.” She held up her can.
The next question was about their favorite movies. Twyla said she liked Mean Girls. Henrietta laughed. “That IS a good movie.” A pillow smacked her, so she took it and sat on it. Hmm…My favorite movie? There’s so many good ones. Henri tapped her chin and contemplated her answer. “I think I’m going to have to say that I like Parent Trap, the version with the two Lindsay Lohans. I’ve liked it for so long that I have to pick it.” She didn’t care if it seemed lame. It was true.
The little girl, Ruby, seemed awfully excited by Henrietta’s height. She grinned at the small girl with the fox tail and ears. The brunette couldn’t help but notice how even more adorable the girl was because of these characteristics. She’s so cute! “It’s really nice to meet you too, Ruby. Your sister is very cool. I’m glad she enjoyed hanging out with us. Yeah, I’m pretty tall, I guess. I’ve seen girls over 6 feet tall before. There’s always someone who’ll be shorter than someone else.” Henri stopped to think about that. It wasn’t true. No one was taller that the world’s tallest person. They were the world’s tallest person. “Well, except maybe the person in the record book for being gigantic.”
Realizing she might have said something weird, Henri scratched her head awkwardly and smiled at both girls. Twyla was paging through a magazine that she must’ve gotten from the girl. They had mentioned robots and the girl with the wild hair tried to picture herself owning a robot. “A robot would be awesome,” Henrietta agreed. The blonde then added that she couldn’t sleep. “That must suck. I love sleep.” The girl plopped down on the couch alongside the other girls and sighed slightly. “This couch is weirdly comfy.”
She felt like burrowing down between the cushions and sleeping for days. Henrietta sat up straighter to stop these thoughts otherwise she may actually fall asleep. It would be much harder to try to get up a second time. Looking over at Ruby, she wondered how come only two of the sisters had animalistic features. The oldest sister in the picture that Emerald showed them appeared to be “normal” looking. Henri tried to recall if one parent looked human. Hmm. I think it was…the dad. She remembered how happy they had all looked. That’s how families are suppose to be. It wasn't suppose to be divided between mutants and humans. Weren't they pretty much the same in the long run?
The stretchy boy said he could pay the twelve dollars. “If you’re sure…” Henrietta smiled at him and watched as he shook his finger and told her that if she didn’t know, he wasn’t going to tell her. Well, I’m not going to find out where we’re going until we get there, I guess. I’m just going to have to be patient then. She strummed her fingers on her purse. This was easier thought than done. Henri still had some stuff to learn. This became more evident everyday. She wasn’t an adult yet. There was a ways to go until then, mentally.
All of a sudden, Van ducked low into the seat. He looked up at her in a secretive way. He started talking about playing some sort of game where you stare at people. He scratched that idea and sat back up quickly. “Let’s play where’s Waldo!” The boy seemed slightly excited. Henri caught herself grinning. He sure does change his mind fast sometimes. It didn’t bother her at all because sometimes she got that way. She was pretty sure most people got that way at some point. For some reason, with such a tough look about him, the randomness softened him. She liked that about him. Maybe that was why she wasn’t so scared of him.
“Sure, let’s play where’s Waldo. Does that mean we’re finding someone that looks like Waldo, or are we going to pick a certain type of person to look for?” Henrietta looked at Van and tilted her head as she waited for what he was going to say.
