The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

The mood was peaceful and quiet. It also felt very secluded in the sounds the birds made. Ted was actually drifting off to sleep and didn’t even hear anyone walking towards him or the tree he'd found. The bird’s songs filled his ears and the grass was busy doing whatever it was that grass did best. What was it that grass did so well? Grow? Hide bugs? We’ll go with grow… it’s a little less disgusting that way. And the tree was being a perfect back support to lean on and relax. The one thing Teddy didn’t realize was that he was apparently good at tripping people.
His eyes’ snapped open in a second and he looked around for whoever it was that he’d tripped. Since there was like no one outside it was obvious to see who he’d tripped, or who had tripped over him depending on how you looked at it, and as it turned out it was a girl. A cute girl, as Ted couldn’t help but notice. “Hi, Henrietta, I’m Ted. Nice to meet you too.” Teddy pulled his legs in closer to him and rubbed them for a second to try and relive the sharp pain that pushed through his shins that seemed to come about whenever one got hit there. Once that feeling went away Ted smiled at her. “So I’m guessing you were enjoying the day until you fell on your face. Is that about right?” Teddy asked smiling at her. He wasn’t mad that he’d been tripped on, but it was definitely a way of meeting people that he’d never thought of. “I’m sorry I didn’t think there was anyone out here so I wasn’t expecting someone to trip over me.” The young mutant wasn’t sure if he should be apologizing or not but it certainly couldn’t hurt any more than someone tripping over you.
It was a beautiful day outside and Ted decided that a day like this should be taken in and used to its fullest. The sun was shining and a wind blew that kept the temperature just above the need-for-a-jacket range and just below the to-hot-to-be-outside range. So roughly in the 70’s. The mansion grounds were greener than he’d ever seen before, and softer than he’d ever felt. It was a have fun in the sun sort of day and Teddy was sure get it while the getting was good. There was a tree off in the distance and it was casting just enough shade for the young boy to get under and relax. One thing that surprised Teddy a lot was that there weren’t that many kids outside on this nice day.
He listened to the birds that were flying overhead and sitting in the trees all around him singing their songs. The wind blew through his blond hair and across his face. Teddy leaned his head back against the tree trunk and laid his feet out in front of him. [i[If there were some kids out here we could play a game or something.[/i] Ted thought as he slowed his breathing down and started to relax in against a very comfortable tree. Maybe some fun would come of today. Ted could only hope.
Teddy gave her a small smile. Her reaction seemed a little over the top for his reply but why shouldn’t she be excited about it. He was a good kid and maybe she just didn’t get that many visitors that often. But with a reaction like that who could blame people from staying away. Ted gingerly walked into the girl’s room, mainly because he wasn’t sure if he was allowed to be in there and secondly because it was very pink. The young boy wasn’t a fan of pink and he definitely couldn’t wear anything with pink on it. He wasn’t exactly sure what she was doing, or what to expect, when she went into her dresser. Teddy took the box that she offered him, “Thanks.” Was all he said while he opened it and picked out something that looked really good.
The teen decided on a small TWIX bar and started eating it. He needed a moment to think anyways and the commercials always said that chewing a TWIX bought you a second to think. And if the commercials said it then logically… it must true or at least half right. So why not give it a shot. After eating the chocolate Ted set the box down on her bed and said, “I don’t really care. I’ll go with whatever you were singing.” He may not know a lot of the songs that she would pick but he was pretty sure that he could read. After all, if he couldn’t read then how could he do very well in his classes? Teddy looked around real quickly to see if he saw another mic, and didn’t. He wondered how they were going to sing a duet with only one mic. “Don’t we need another mic?” Ted asked revealing to her his inexperience with karaoke.
Anyone interested in having some fun with Teddy. I don't really have any ideas right now but I want to get him more active. He's currently at the mansion so that seems like the most reasonable people for him to hang out with.
Ted smiled mainly because he was glad that she was not upset with him interrupting her. "Not much. I was just wandering around when I heard you singing." Ted said to her. She offered him a duet. Should he take it? He wasn't sure. Koko seemed to get animated enough for the both of them if he decided to join her. Koko put on what Ted assumed was a sad face to get him to comply with what she was asking for. The young boy didn't put up too much of a fight. After all it was either join her and probably have some fun or wander around and be undoubtedly board. Finally Ted agreed, "Sure, I'll join you."
Ted was glad that he was getting through to at least one of them. He smiled when heard a little aww slip from the red head, apparently named Fade’s mouth. Maybe getting them to understand will be easier than I thought. he thought just before he was tossed onto the bed. Once Ted was sitting erect on the bed and eye level with Deathstar, Ted mustered all the cuteness he could out of the teddy bears face. Unfortunately Teddy wasn’t that good of a charades player; however, none of that mattered right now seeing as he would get the stuffing ripped out of him if he didn’t start doing something.
The little bear stood up on his hind legs and started to waive his hands about. After a couple of seconds to make sure that he had both of their undivided attention. Ted couldn’t help but agree with Fade. She seemed like the smart and level headed one of the two that were in front of him. Once he was sure that they were paying close attention, and then he started his game of charades. Ted began by pointing at himself. Once they got that he would begin to try and make them understand that he was a student living at the mansion. Easier said than done right? Oh well, here goes nothing.
Memo to self... Next time I get the urge to comfort someone make sure I know them first. Teddy thought. As the nice girl picked him up, she was quickly brushed away by the psycho chick. She was interested in getting tearing him apart more than getting information from him. Ted was now shaking visibly with fear. How in the world was he going to convince this crazy girl that he wasn’t some Order thingy but just a kid who heard her crying he figured that he’d cheer her up? Maybe he should take up sign language. It would definitely help him out in this situation or so he hoped. Seeing as Ted couldn’t really talk this way it definitely made things a lot more difficult. Maybe next time he does something this stupid he should use a bigger and less easy to pick up stuffed animal.
Ted was getting shaken and poked with a knife. [iHow could this possibly get worse? Oh, wait I know how it could get worse and it's just about to. I can't talk to them. Maybe I can show them somehow, without going back to human.[/i] Ted was thinking. The red heads words weren't too convincing. She apparently didn't think that she would be able to talk her friend out of slicing and dicing the teddy bear. Teddy looked from Deathstar to the red head and then to the bed. At this point he was really regretting his decision to come out from under the bed; however, he did have an idea of how to communicate some answers to them. It all depended on one thing... How good were they at playing charades?
The young mutant was in a pickle. He didn't know how to get out of the crazy girls grasp. He made one more look around the room before he held up his other bear paw. Teddy also shook his head hoping that they would take that as a sign that he gives up and will talk. Or at least make an attempt to explain some things. The main thing that Ted wanted was for the crazy girl to put down the knife and stop threatening to cut him up. Would she lidten? Would the other girl talk her down? Teddy could only hope that those things would happen.
Ted wasn't really paying attention to the music. That is he wasn't until it was turned off. Oops. She's seen me. Teddy got suddenly nervous. What was he supposed to do? Ted's face turned red as the girl about his age came up to him. "Uhh. Hi. Umm, Koko." The young boy said. He'd seen her around before but he'd only just passed her by or ignored her in his classes. Now that she was actually talking to him and she'd caught him staring in her room at her stuffed animals he was feeling really weird.
"I'm fine." Ted said trying to get rid of the embarrassment that he was still feeling. He wasn't used to getting caught staring at things like stufefd animals. He was usually more careful than that; however, since he didn't know her and she'd seen him then Teddy found this very awakward. Ted's eyes were still pulled to the stuffed animals that were in her room and he fought the urge to stare at them while she was talking to him. "I'm Ted. Sorry, I didn't mean to interrupt your singing." Teddy glanced at the ground and lightly kicked at the ground in front of him.
Ted was scared. If he’d had pants on he would have pooped in them. Apparently the girl that he’d come in to be a comfort to was very temperamental and unstable. This was scary. Man this chick is already starting to count. And she’s counting fast. Why’d I have to be nice and go try to comfort this girl? Teddy wondered as he continued to cower under the bed. The Order? Who are they? Yes, listen to the red headed chick. She’s smart, she’s nice. She’s rational. Come on… stop counting and listen to her. Unfortunately he knew that unless either one of them were telepaths or could hear thoughts some how his pleas were falling on deaf minds. The young teen turned his head slightly to look at the nice one. Herself? Now why do I have to be a girl? Just because I can turn into stuffed animals doesn’t mean I'm a girl.
Ok the clawed finger was a little scary also. Right now it didn’t seem like either of them would really not do any harm to him. Even with the claws gone he was still a little apprehensive of her. Who’s to say she wasn’t just playing devils advocate and once he was out she would hold him down and let the other one go at it. Wait, wait, wait. Her name is Deathstar? Man I was hoping it was just Star…like she’s the star of the parade or something. But she’s some sort of psycho chick. God why did I have to get myself into this? Whyyyyyyy? Teddy silently cried out in his head. As Deathstar continued to get closer to fulfilling her threat the young mutant decided to take up the other girl on her offer and slowly, but carefully, crawl out to her. Ted didn’t think that it was even possible for him to hurt someone in any of his forms but he was still a little apprehensive of this other girl. He had no reason to trust them really, but then again they had no reason to trust him; especially if they were as paranoid as they sounded.
Ted was walking through the hallways of the bedrooms. It seemed to be something that he enjoyed doing, mainly because you never knew who was going to be coming out of their rooms and heading in the same direction as you. You just never knew who you were going to meet. People always seemed friendlier when they were not in a hurry to do something. As Teddy walked along he heard the sound of music. And someone singing. He continued walking until he saw who it was that was singing. It was obviously a girl's voice. It was so much better for him to join in something like singing with a girl than it was if it was a guy singing.
Teddy wasn't too familiar with the song that was playing in the girls room but he figured that he could always learn. The young mutant finally came up to the girls room. Her door was open and he could see that she had a very pink room. Although he had to admit... He wasn't a big fan of pink he was a big fan of all the stuffed animals that he could see were in her room. The temptation to take a closer look at the stuffed animals was almost too much for him to resist. Ted just watched the girl sing for a while, not wanting to disturb the roll she was on. Every once in a while he would glance back over to the stuffed animals that she had on her shelves and wished he could just run in there and scoop them all up and cuddle them all. Is that a weird thing to want? Maybe but he didn't care.
Oh shit!!! Ted silently cried as he was dropped to the ground. Well, there goes my cover. Right now Teddy was very afraid of what was going to happen. He'd hoped that they wouldn't react like this but it was an understandable reaction. Maybe. The girl that he'd originally come in to comfort seemed to be a very quick draw with a knife. As Ted was still falling she'd already grabbed a knife and was about ready to cut him all up. This was no time to play dead, or stuffed animal actually, considering if he didn't move he would be dead.
Oddly enough the second girl was standing up for him, no matter how weak her argument was. Ted decided to stick with her. Once he was on the ground he shook off the head band and ran behind the nice red head's legs. Cowering was kind of a new tactic for him since he hadn't ever messed up that royally when he was in a stuffed animal form before. Teddy started to fight with the dress to get it off; and since he was trying not to rip it, it was really quite a hard task. Ted peaked out from behind the nice red head's leg to see if he was still going to be attacked. From there he glanced over at the bed. Thank God it's not that far. I think I can make it under there before they can get me. Teddy thought as he cowered for his stuffing. What would the two do to him? Would they let him leave, or at least let him explain? Who knew?
