The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Teddy patted his sides like he was looking for pockets. Did this girl really expect him to have any sort of ID on him? He could hardly hold a pencil, never mind keeping a school ID on him. Come to think of it he couldn't remember getting an ID when he'd come to the school. These two just didn't seem to be getting it. The teddy bear just shook his head. This was going to be harder than he thought it was. No. Teddy wrote. Hopefully they understood that he was answering their questions as best he could. It was hard to write like this.
Change back? Are they crazy? Blondie here still wants to rip me to shreds, what's she gonna do if I change to human?I... am... a... human... who... can.. change... into... stuffed animals. I... don't... want... to... change... back... cause... she... scares... me. And of course by she Teddy meant Deathstar. Fade had been nice to him the entire time he'd been there and even stopped the other from slicing and dicing him. But he still found the situation scary. There was no reason for him to really trust her not to hurt him when he changed back. Besides if he did that he wouldn't be able to pull that off again, and neither of them would trust him; even thought they probably didn't trust him right now.
Apparently the 'woah' was loud enough to get the attention of Henrietta. Once she made her way over to the tree it didn't take long for her to find him. "Well, it was worth a try." Ted said to her. "No but I sure was hoping that maybe the trees would like me more then they did to you. But I have to agree. It doesn't seem like they like me all that much either." Teddy said looking down at her and seeing her directly under him. "No I think I can get down by myself." Or so he hoped. Getting up there apparently wasn't the trouble. It was getting down. That wasn't something that he would be looking forward to.
He wasn't very far up, but he was high enough to get hurt if he fell from the tree. Since he had been spotted Teddy slowly started to climb down to the ground. Just a few minutes later and he was on the ground in front of Henrietta. "So I guess you win?" Ted asked her. Since he didn't really have to catch her when she got scared by a spider, that just confused him a little on how exactly they were counting who was winning this game. The young mutant just smiled at his barely older friend as he thought, Are we going to play again or what? He was enjoying the game; however, it was more fun with more people and there wasn't exactly a whole lot of hiding spots, since both of them didn't seem to have any luck with trees.
Teddy waited patiently for Henrietta to fall for his trap. It didn't take long, seeing as the window he'd chosen was the only one open around. The young mutant then watched her poke and prod the stuffed animals until she knocked one over. That would have hurt if that was me. Ted thought as she continued to mess with some of the animals. he continued to watch her even as she gave up and started tyring tro trick him to come out. Did she really think he was stupid enough to answer her? Of course not, but why not try it.
The stuffed shifter carined his neck around the branches to seearound the bushes and that's when the hand that was holding on to the branch above him slipped just a little. But a little was enough to make him make a small noise. "Whoa." Ted said out loud, shifting in the tree so that he wouldn't fall out. She had bad experiences with trees and he waws hoping that her bad experiences weren't rubbing off on him after such a short amount of time. If that was the case he'd hate to find out what would happen if they spent more time together.
Ted was still laughing a little as Henrietta spoke up. For a second he thought she was mad at him for laughing at her irrational fear of spiders. Teddy wasn't a huge fan of spiders and insects but he wasn't scared of them like that. Or at least he hoped he wouldn't react like that if he was scared by a spider. "Ok, I'll go hide now." Ted agreed. "Oh I shall prove you wrong. I shall."
Henrietta then started counting and Ted smirked at her as he ran away from her. They hadn't specified whether or not they could use their powers; however it would seem a little weird to see a stuffed animall lying around outside. His safest hiding spot would be inside if he was going to use his powers. Maybe he didn't need to use his powers. Ted began looking at windows for any signs of stuffed animals. Whether or not it worked didn't matter he just wanted to prove her wrong for a second. Or at least mess with her mind a little bit.
Teddy finally found a room that had their window open and had a few stuffed animals. He climbed in and placed a few of the animals on the windowsill. He only needed to make her think he was one of the animals, she didn't know the details of his powers and it would be fun to watch her froma distance. With his plan in motion and everything set up he found a tree with a few low branches that he could climb and hide in. Ted climbed in the tree and hid behind some branches ad leaves as he waited for the young girl to find him.
The rustle sealed the deal. She was definitely hiding in there. The trick now was just finding her to be sure that it wasn’t just some animal making noise in there. Ted didn’t have to worry too much. She was out of her hiding spot in a second. Teddy couldn’t help himself he just started laughing. Loudly. Ted saw her jump up and out of her hiding spot. Apparently she doesn’t like spiders. he thought as he slowly started to make his way around the bush and to where she was sitting.
“Does this mean that I win?” Ted asked as he tried to control his laughing. Now, granted, if he’d been in the same situation he probably would have freaked out too…although maybe not as much. Screaming like a girl was for girls, not for guys. With an amused smile still on his face he said, “Are you ok?” Teddy didn't mean to be rude but it was funny.
Koko didn’t need his help to get out but it sure seemed like she her closet was trying to kill her. first it tried to bury her alive and now it was trying to bash her head in with a CD player. He tried his hardest not to laugh because he felt bad about her getting hit on the head, but it was kind of funny at the same time. Once she was finally out of the rubble that was her closet he took the mic out of her hand before she tripped over something and broke it. “Only if I get to sing Aladin’s part. Cause well let’s face it… I don’t exactly look like Jasmine.” Teddy said smiling at her. Luckily Teddy was familiar with the song and he could sing something from it.
Although, he did have to admit that he was a little more concerned about how crazy she might get when she started singing than he was about getting the words right. But whether he was a good singer or not was still to be determined. He couldn’t remember anyone complaining about his singing, but then again he also couldn’t remember anyone fawning over it either.
Teddy continued counting as Henrietta ran to hide. They didn’t specify a time that he was going to give her to hide but after he finished counting to 30 he figured that she had better be ready. Teddy could only guess on which way she ran because it didn’t sound like she went in front of him. Immediately upon finishing his counting Teddy turned around and shouted “Ready or not hear I come!” The young mutant started to look around for where his new friend had disappeared too. There didn’t seem like that many places to hide and so it seemed practical for him to check everywhere. Including the bushes.
He thought that she would be smart enough to know not to hide in the bushes; however, this game was about finding the other person so it seemed like the smart thing to check every possible location. Since neither of them had any great history with trees it didn’t seem like trees would be a safe alternative to hide in. At first Teddy decided to pass up the bush thinking that it was too simple a place to hide. Although, contrary to popular belief it was simpler to look in all of the easy places before he went to look at all of the more unlikely places. Ted squatted down to look around the bush and see if just maybe Henrietta was hiding in there. It was definitely a possibility that she was there but it was kind of hard to see.
“Ya it was. But the other time it was really funny.” Ted told her. He didn’t want Henrietta to think that she should be sad for him or something, but they really were amusing stories if they were told right. His power was more like a sharp throwing star… the first point was that it was probably the cutest mutation in the world…the second point was that he’s a guy with the cutest mutation in the world, therefore it leads to some embarrassment and hesitation to use it because of it’s ineffectiveness… the third point to it was that it was great for sneaking around and apparently meeting girls…and the fourth point was that he always had to shrink to transform.
Great she was throwing the decision back on him. So not fair. Teddy thought for a second before he answered her. Another question also popped into his head that would help him out a bit but put her at a significant disadvantage. “I’ll find you first.” Ted finally said smiling. This was going to be a fun game. And besides, when was it not a good thing for a guy to catch a girl. “So go look for a spot and I’ll start counting.” Teddy instructed her. He was fairly sure that she knew how the game went, but it was just a way to start the game. With that the young teen turned his back to Henri and started counting. “One…Two…three…”
Great neither of them are good at charades. This is not going to help at all. Teddy thought as Fade started to horribly guess at what he was miming. This is never going to work if it takes them this long to guess that I’m indicating myself. The likelihood of Teddy getting destuffed was looking more and more possible by the second. The stuffed bear watched as the red head rummaged through drawers looking for something. A pen and paper? He’d never tried writing before so this should be fun to watch. When Fade asked him if he could write Ted shrugged, or at least shrugged as well as any stuffed animal could shrug.
Teddy took the pen from her, as best he could and proceeded to attempt at writing. Now he knew why most animals couldn’t communicate with humans… no thumbs! Teddy placed the pen between both hands and started to try and write on the paper. I…am…a…mutant. I…live…here. It was taking him a long time to write these few words. His first grade teacher would have been really annoyed with him taking so long. But either way it was better than playing charades with two people who take half an hour just to figure out that you’re point at yourself. Teddy looked up at them to see if they had any more questions that they wanted answered. Hopefully they had more paper too because writing with both hands meant that the letters were written a lot bigger than if someone was writing normally.
“Ya I’ve been mistaken for a real one a few times. It actually got me into a bit of trouble once.” Ted said remembering his run in with Deathstar and Fade. “I did it once ‘cause a girl was really upset and she freaked out when I moved.” He smiled remembering the funny parts. Of course almost getting the stuffing ripped out of him wasn’t the most fun thing he’d ever done. Other than that one scary time Teddy always enjoyed using his mutation. When the girl covered her mouth he chuckled a little bit. “It’s ok… I get that reaction from a lot of people. Mostly there from girls, but I still find it funny.” Teddy admitted to her. The young boy seemed to even blush a little bit mainly because his powers seemed like such a thing a kid, or a girl, would want more than a boy growing up in such an odd world.
Teddy still wasn’t really sure if he should have waived back at her hair; although he decided against it when she continued to explain it. Ted looked around also. He didn’t know if she heard someone coming or what, but apparently she was just thinking for a second. Her suggestion did sound a bit childish; however, Teddy couldn’t have been more thrilled at the idea. He would love to play it because he was pretty sure that he would win. “Ya that sounds like a lot of fun.” Ted agreed with her. But who would start? Would he hide first or would she want to hide first. There was only one way to find out…and that was to ask. “So do you want to hide first or seek first?”
Teddy wasn't sure about the protocols for finding out about someone's powers either, but he figured that Henrietta at least knew what they were. She was older than him after all. However, he was fine with talking about his powers and maybe if he told her about his then she would tell him about hers. He remembered when Twyla told him about her powers she was a little hesitant. But maybe that was just because she didn't really know how to explain them like he could explain his. "No, I don't mind. I can turn into any stuffed animal I can touch." Teddy explained. He didn't really know if she was going to ask more about it and if she did then he wasn't sure if he could even explain it much better than that.
"Ya you're right. I haven't met too many people but everyone I've met seems to have completely different powers. No one seems to have any similarities." Teddy wasn't exactly sure if he should wave back to her hair or say something. The young boy blinked a couple of times before saying, "I think I you may have hit me harder than I thought. Did your hair just wave at me? Or am I imagining it?" Ted asked her. It would definitely be something new to him. Hair that could do whatever it wanted. Teddy glanced down at her legs and saw the scrapes there and smiled. "I've never had too much luck climbing trees either. 'Cause I'm usually to short to get up there." He said frowning a little. As a final thought he admitted, "I don't really have anything planned either. We could do nothing together I suppose." It certainly seemed like climbing trees was out for both of them. However, it was a beautiful day and there was plenty of things that they could find to do to busy themselves.
Ted nodded in agreement. It wasn't that big of a difference in friends. "Ya I know Twyla. I met her in the library. She helped me find some books that have helped a little with my powers." Ted volunteered. The name Calley sounded familiar. Why was that? Oh that's right he'd met Calley in one of his homeroom classes. "No there's bound to be worse ways to meet someone than this." Teddy agreed with her. Although it was an awkward way to meet someone it wasn't particularly his preferred way of meeting someone.
Teddy laughed along with her. He should try and pull that move sometime. Maybe it would work for him like it did for her. Although it was a lot more likely for girls to have an imaginary friend than for a boy. "Well as tempting as that offer is, I usually limit my goal to trip only one person a day. And thankfully you've helped me meet my goal in just a very short amount of time." Ted said taking her hand and getting up.
“No you didn’t hurt me. It just stung a little. I’ll get over it.” Ted said to her. He wasn’t sure if it was his fault or not but it was still a good thing to apologize. Teddy smiled at her and nodded. It certainly was a nice day out. “I’ve been here since like August.” The funny thing was that although he’d been here since about the start of the school year he still didn’t seem to know many more than a dozen people. Or at least that’s what it seemed like. He could chalk this up to meeting a new person, although getting tripped over wasn’t the exact way that he’d have liked to meet someone.
Henrietta was firing off questions at the boy so fast he practically didn’t have any time to answer them until she was done asking about them. “Ya that’s pretty close. I’m actually 14 years old. But I’m almost 15.” He said trying to not sound like he was still going through those odd years when his voice was changing. Granted that wasn’t exactly possible to control and he couldn’t stop his voice from cracking. Maybe it was just the fact that she was just about two years older than him and he wanted to make it seem like she wasn't talking to a little kid. Ted stopped rubbing his leg and turned to face the girl. “Do you usually meet people by being clumsy or is this kind of a first for you?” He wasn’t really used to meeting people like this and he just wondered if it was something that she was used to doing.
. Teddy watched Koko run around her room and tare her room apart. It was actually a little amusing to him. He continued to watch her go from spot to spot and things fly from where they'd originally stored to everywhere else in room. Her idea of cleaning wasn't that different from his. He’d always thrown things where they didn’t belong just so that he could get them out of his way. Her room was very girly and oddly enough the things that she had ‘put away’ were more like things that a kid much younger than both of them would keep in their rooms. Who knows, maybe she was just someone that liked to color things.
When Koko went into her closet it seemed that she had even more stuffed animals fell out. Ted almost rushed over there when Koko was covered in the things from her closet. Not to see if she was ok but to touch all the stuffed animals. Was it selfish, maybe but it was something that he definitely liked to do. When Koko’s head and arm popped out from under the pile, holding the extra mic in her hand Teddy started laughing. The young boy clapped a few times once he’d stopped laughing. “Do you need help getting out of there?” Ted asked her as he walked over to her amidst the pile of stuffed animals and other belongings of hers.
