The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

“The reason we’re here is because when the Registration Act was in place in the States, there was one major place that a lot of mutants to hide out. It was the club I took you to Lily... Why is this club closed when all the others are open?” Jewel looked around. Streak - codenames on the field - had a point. The place did look odd. She kept her mind from wandering to the American registration, the camps and all the deal she only knew from rumors and other mutants, and never had to experience herself. Shawn had been there... Lily shook her head. Later. Looking at the closed club, her eyes narrowed. "Well, if you are right, they are taking 'hiding in plain sight' to a whole new level." she admitted "Might work. Or might not." Glancing around, she allowed herself a small smile. "You know why nomadic women wear so much jewelry? It's easier to move when you always have your assets on you." allowing her eyes to close, she tilted her head "When people are forced to run and hide, and do even worse things to survive, they keep whatever is small enough to keep." She let her senses flow, then frowned and opened her eyes. "Excuse me, boss, you are creating feedback here. I'll see if I can find something." Stepping a couple of feet away from Streak and towards the door, she tried again. It might be a stupid idea. It might not work at all. But it was the only thing she could sense, so it was worth a shot.
((OOC: Streak it's up to you if she can sense something inside the club ))
“See. Now was this part of your plan? Get me into a towel… and then what?” Lily chuckled first, at how he turned her own words around to her. Bantering was still fun with him. The she looked up. If her cheeks were pink before, now they were crimson. Whoa. She stood up from the bed and instinctively pulled the bathrobe tighter around herself; her eyes grew wide, on the thing line between scared and... something else. She had no idea what to do, or what to say. She suddenly felt more shy than ever. For God's sake take a breath girl before you faint of sheer bashfulness. Lily swallowed. "There is no plan." she admitted as he stood before her. She tried a smile. It was a bit weak, but it was there. Reaching out, she rested her fingertips against his chest; the touch was light enough to keep her powers from tickling him. She traced his collarbone, and a scar down his arm; her fingertips lingered above his tattoo. She couldn't really tell why she was doing.... whatever she was doing. She just did. Running her fingers down his arm and hand, she stopped, then retraced the pattern, up to his neck and rested her palm against his cheek, tracing it with her thumb. And then she realized how weird it must have felt for him, and pulled her hand back. "Um... sorry."
“I’m not in one because all my towels are in the bathroom… which you were occupying.” Lily finally snapped back into reality and stepped away from the bathroom door. "All yours." she smirked at him, still holding the towel with both hands, in case it decided to slip. “Doyou want me to go get you some clothes… Or do you want to put on one of the bathrobes that are in the closet? Or you could continue wearing that. I don’t really mind.” She chuckled. "Oh I am sure you don't. How does this plan of yours usually work? Get the girl wrapped in a towel, and then...?" she gave him a look before walking past him to the closet and pulling out a bathrobe. She was really glad the X team could afford hotel rooms with extra bathrobes. Warm and fluffy. Putting on the robe she tied it around her waist before reaching under it and pulling out the wet towel. Much better. If he was still watching... so be it. Sitting down onto the bed she started drying her hair with the towel.
"Who say’s I didn’t do this on purpose?....Besides clothes are over rated; I just heard on TV that the newest fashion in Romania is towels.” Lily arched an eyebrow. "They are? How come you are not wearing any, then?" She wasn't sure how she was supposed to react. She could tell he was staring, and it made her cheeks burn. She was usually shy by nature, and not used to situations like this. Like, at all. Great, Lily, now look what you've gotten yourself into. She cleared her throat and looked down on herself. The towel covered everything it needed to cover. Good. That's good. It still didn't leave much to the imagination. Even though in her experience guys had a very good imagination anyway. Umm. What do women usually do...? Umm.
"The only way that'll happen is if you tell them. And you wouldn't do that to someone as good looking as me now would you?" Lily rolled her eyes again. Now he was getting cocky. He didn't look bad... to tell the truth he was quite handsome, but still. She couldn't help but grin. "You never know what a lady is capable of." she winked. “There’s a shower in there you can use.” She nodded. "Sounds good to me." She really needed a shower; her head hurt a lot less, and the dizzyness was almost gone, and she felt like shower was all she needed to get back to - relatively - normal. Getting off the bed she walked over to the bathroom. Hot water. Hmmm. When she emerged again about twenty minutes later, she felt like she'd been reborn. She was wrapped in a towel, her hair dripping water onto her shoulders, and she was frowning. "You know, Shawn, I take it back. You are not good at planning. Now how the heck am I supposed to go get clean clothes?..."
"Cheater." Lily arched an eyebrow as she uncovered her plate "Says the guy who uses his powers to drive his girl crazy." she smirked at him. "I thought you'd change your mind about that. Now I've got my ace in the whole back. Yes!... I don't know what you're talking about. I don't have a weakness. I'm invincible." She chuckled and shook her head. It really didn't take much for guys to boost their ego to infinity and beyond. "Fear the day when your enemies find out you are ticklish." she countered, and started to eat her breakfast. It wasn't bad at all. Once she had something in her stomach, she felt less sick and more alive. One breakfast, a couple of glasses of water and a Tylenol later she almost felt human again. Putting her plate aside she lied back on the bed with a smile. "Bed, room service, nice breakfast." she sighed "I think all I need now is a shower..."
"Dammit." Lily rolled onto her back as Shawn got up to open the door. Things were just getting interesting. Of course they were the ones who ordered food. She'll know better than that. Next time. Sitting up on the bed she eyed the food trays, and realized she just might be hungry after all. It was also a good distraction from all the thoughts that were occupying her mind right now. Hm. Her senses were still making her dizzy; Shawn pulled the silver back into his body, and broke contact, but he was till well inside her range. Lily took a deep breath, shaking her head. "You know what, I take it back. You can get away with anything just because you are made of silver." she chuckled; lifting her hand, she levitated a tray of food over to the bed. Using her powers helped her pull herself together. "And now I know a weakness of yours too." she added with a proud grin.
"Hey! Stop that! That tickles." Lily looked up at him, surprised. Tickles? He never said anything about her powers tickling... well, last time she used them, they didn't really get the chance to talk about it, but... She laughed. "Tickles? Really?..." And she kept laughing as he puller closer. She only stopped when he covered himself in silver. She drew a deep breath; she could always feel the silver under his skin, but wen it came out, the feeling was much stronger it made her senses go wild. The kiss would have been more than enough to do that too. Light as it was, she felt the pull of her own powers on her lips. It was a strangely familiar feeling. Sneaking her free arm around him she pulled Shawn closer, running her palm over his back as they kissed. She could feel the silver react to her touch. It probably was tickling him too, but it felt too good to care. She had no idea it this was Shawn's way of getting rid of the hangover, or stopping her from tickling him, or he just felt like making out, but she honestly didn't care. Either way, it worked.
"No nothing too embarrassing. Now are you talking about before or after you went running around the hotel naked? and I had to get you back in your clothes. Believe me that was no fun." Ooops. Lily's eyes widened for a second. She almost bought it. Hey, it was her first experience with being drunk and who knows maybe someone can lost pieces without ever noticing there was something missing from the timeline... like running around naked till... Wait a minute. Nooo way. Lily frowned, lifting her head to look at him. She was half amused and half curious what else he would come up with. "Then there was the whole you thought you could fly thing and started to flap your arms around like a bird." A smile tugged at her lips and she hat to bite it to keep herself from giggling. "You wanna know how I know you are making that up?" she tilted her head at him, placing a hand on his chest and letting her powers pull on his silver "No guy on the planet would put a girl back into her clothes once she's naked."
"So. Do you remember anything we talked about last night?" Lily buried her face in the pillow, and smirked. Of course she remembered, she hadn't been that drunk. Well, maybe she had. But still, she was pretty sure she had all the important pieces. Apparently Streak was not sure either. Fun. "Naaah, not really" she murmured into the pillow "I was totally wasted..." She waited for a few seconds till she managed to wipe the grin off and arrange her face into a confused expression. "I don't really... know how we got home from the pub. Um..." She had to look away. Her head was killing her, but suddenly this was just too amusing to pass up. "Did I do something embarrassing?..."
"I doubt their conversation was as pleasant as ours was." Lily chuckled and wrapped her arms around his waist. "You can bet on that. I just hope they are both still alive..." "Do you know what you want?" Lily wrinkled her nose as she looked at the menu over his shoulder. Decisions, decisions. She decided to go with the easiest solution. "Same's fine for me too." she concluded and sat back on the bed, really tempted once again to go back to sleep "Or whatever makes hangover go away. I guess you know more about that than I do..." Lily knew there were all kinds of advice for dealing with hangover. She heard about it in school. She discarded it too, because she was planning on living her life without ever getting drunk. Like good girls do. So much about that. Temptation was too great to handle. Lily fell back on the bed and rolled onto her stomach with a sigh. "I'll just wait here till room service comes..." she muttered.
"Relax Jewel. You don't have to get all dolled up right now you don't have to impress anyone." Good. That was good, because she had no hope for looking like a human being anytime soon. She managed to sit up though, resting her elbows on her knees, resting her forehead in her palms. "It's an evil, evil thing..." she frowned. The situation was getting amusing. Just a tiny little bit. She'll appreciate it later. "How about some breakfast Lily? It'll help." "If you say so..." she nodded, carefully not to make her head hurt even worse. Her first thought was do you really want me to throw up on your bed?, but if he said it would help, it was worth a shot. She moved over to rest her chin on Shawn's shoulder and peek at the menu. She needed to lean against his back, it was much more comfortable and kept her from falling back down onto the bed. Because that was a really tempting option right now. "I wonder how Alex is doing..." she murmured, smiling a tiny evil smile. Not like she didn't hope everything was fine with their friends in the other rooms. She hoped their night turned out well too. Not to mention the morning...
"That's called a hangover sweetie. That's why we don't drink on missions." "It sucks" Lily agreed from the bottom of her hear as she rolled onto her back, rubbing her eyes. It didn't really help. It made things worse. "Owww... I will never, ever..." She sighed, and stilled, almost as if she's fallen asleep again. As if she could. Duh. Experiencing a hangover for the first time in her life during a mission was nowhere near being fun. Still. Experiencing it in Shawn's bed was not the worst thing that could have happened. A smile tugged at her lips as she ran her fingers through her hair, trying to pull herself together. She kicked off the blanket, stretching; she felt she could sleep for a week more, if only the damned headache would stop... "It huuuuurts..." she whined "Why do people drink alcohol?..."
"Time to get up Lily." Yes it probably was. She could see the light through her eyelids; it was unusually strong, or did she just feel like it was?... And not just sunlight either, there was a different kind of light, dancing around her senses... Silver?... Lily's eyes flew open. "Shawn?... Ouch." okay, so this was probably not a good idea. Her head hurt like hell; it started the minute she opened her eyes, and now there was no going back to sleep. Good morning, hangover. Memories came flooding back. Alex... pub... Hurricane... singing... Kaz... Sam... Shawn... Hmmm. All right, she was not missing anything too important. Hopefully. They were dressed, check. In his bed, check. Lily let out the breath she was holding and allowed herself a smile. "Mmmmornin'..." she murmured, snuggling closer. Ouch, talking hurt. Moving did too. "Daaaamn...." she moaned "I feel like hell..."
