The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Cyra glanced down at her phone, rather annoyed. It came up as anyonmous caller. She rolled her eyes as she pressed send. "Who the heck is this. And how exactly did you get this number, hmm?" She tapped her foot impatiently for the person to answer. She was waiting for Virote to call her and didn't want anyone to make her miss it.
Cyra blinked and laughed, "Who said I was home Virote darling? I'm in New York, same as you." She smirked and spoke again, slightly taunting this time. "Did you think I wouldn't get worried? Think I wouldn't come here. Gods Virote, I can't not be worried, expecially with the syndicate wanting you out of the picture." She sighed and rubbed her hand over her face. "The syndicate knows more then they are telling about you. And me for that matter." Her tone went hard, "Where the hell are you for that matter?"
Her foot tapping had increased, "At the very least I expect you to make those bastards pay." Cruelty set deep in her voice, she spoke again. "Am I not allowed to worry? Expecially since I refuse to take down the syndicate myself. I was just going to make you do it. Then I was going to run it." Make him think twice about not calling her right away. This better teach him a lesson.
Cyra chuckled darkly, "Should I come searching for you or should I tell you now that where I might be at." She was toying with the idea of having him come to the labs again. "Or I could see you once you return here." She paused waiting for his reaction.
Cyra sighed, "Fine Virote, that is understandable. So, how much of the camp layout do you know of and will you be willing to help us get everyone else out?" She smiled, a happy evilistic one mind. "I can't wait to see you." Her tone was slightly teasing and playfully evil.
"Good, the better we know the inside of the camps, the easier it will be to get everyone out." She sighed, "How are you really doing luv?" Cyra found the chair that was in her room and collapsed on it. "I've been more so worried at what the camp has been doing to you." She knew that was a weird thing to say. but oh well/
"We prevented this in our homeland. It seems sickening, oddly enough, to let those people suffer." Her foot finally ceased tapping. "I have no idea why I care, perhaps I don't. Maybe I just want to make people pay for imprisoning mutants like us."
Cyra smiled wryly, "Being away from the syndicate for a week is a different experience. It makes me think upon things I normally wouldn't think upon." She switched hands holding her cell phone. "Nor do I like the idea of children being in those camps." She hadn't had to kill a child yet, for which she was grateful. A child was a spark of life, they deserved to live. "It doesn't sit well with me. And there's many people here at the labs that have at least one person they know there." Her voice went hard, "Stupid stupid humans, this will backfire and harshly."
"Virote...." Crap, what did he do now?" Cyra muttered as she heard gunfire on his end. "What did you do this time?" She sighed, "Try not to explode too many things luv. It's bad publicity."
"I'll see you soon Virote and please be careful." She sighed as she hung up the phone. From what she had heard, everyone that came into that room was now dead. Probably deserved though. She pulled herself from the chair and sat gracefully down on the bed. Then let herself fall backwards to fall asleep."
