The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

The dead men's green mist flowed into their bosses hand's and as it did, the man himself began to turn an odd shade of green. There was only one possibility, the program was simulating a mutant leader to the gang. Turning the Man made a punching motion at Aura despite the distance. A green fist shape shot out at Aura, who retracted her weapons and decided to stand her ground. Aura crossed her Arm's in front of her as the Fist struck her.
Knocked Back, Aura felt herself go through the bar, a funny shaped cartoon like hole now in the bat, the sounds of shattering and crunching glass could be heard as Aura's body wiped out the support beam for the liquor shelf. Anything that was still on the shelf fell in a shower of glass and booze. Aura did not get up, or at least she did not rise above the bar. She had no idea what power the program had given the man, but she wanted to see what shane could do.
The large man turned to Face shane again, his fists still glowing with the green gas like energy which flowed back to him from where it had hit aura. The fist struck like a hammer and the Man brought his fist back again, and sent a green fist for shane. The fist was slow and dodgeable but powerful. Aura ahd felt her Aura starin to hold back the power behind that fist, when she emerged again she knew she would not wnat to try and take one of those fists again.
The last goon turned out to be quite the formidable foe after all. Shane’s furniture assault did little to divert his attention from Aura until his now apparent mutation had shown itself. His fists seemed to fire green balls of some sort that struck with rather destructive power. The whole room seemed to shake each time one of them collided with anything else.
From where he was standing, Aura seemed to have taken shelter behind the bar. She’d gone through it pretty hard, but from what little he knew of her, it seemed unlikely that a blow like that would have been the one to finish her off. The dummy, however, didn’t seem to agree. His attention finally swung back to Shane as his fists began to taken on the same other worldly glow before launching a green ball right towards his head.
Shane managed to duck under it, but just barely. He heard an explosion behind him, and out of reflex turned his head to see what had been hit. Bad move. A second green fist slammed into him in his moment of distraction and sent him flying back into the damaged wall he’d just laid his eyes on. He let out a primal grunt before flinging more chairs in the man’s direction, moving to the nearest corner from where he landed. His plan now was to get directly across from the bar and draw him out into the center of the room. The robot might be strong, but he didn’t have eyes on the back of his head, and leaving his back turned to one of them was bound to spell trouble for him.
Aura had never seen this particular mutant before, but the machine also knew of a lot of people. Aura watched as Shane fought him and smiled, he was good tactically. With the goon, back to her Aura charged, she quickly closed the distance, and She felt her Hammer, strike home on the goon and felt the metal give way as well, as the man was knocked onto his side. had it been more Human, it probably would not have shot the charged green fist at her, but she noticed this was weaker and instead skidded back until she knocked into a pool table.
The Simulation, began to fade away as Shane's tactic had worked. The distraction had given her the time needed to incapacitate their foe., Aura noted to herself that though the target lived he would have either needed a healing mutant or a serious ER visit. "so what did you think?" she said with a smile. She had enjoyed the work out and she watched as the illusions broke down the system automatically gathering the robot remains.
"Not normally a mutant in that fight, but it happens." she said with a shrug. "You up for another one?" she asked curiously. If he was she was willing to begin one. No one else has wnated to use the room, from what she could tell.
Shane took a minute to catch his breath, marveling at the technology that surrounded him. For a moment he’d completely forgotten that he was in the sanctuary at all; the bar had become real to him, and the thugs just the same. The way the scenery just melted away had a similar feeling to waking up from a vivid dream. It was usually never as nice once you left the fantasy. But this time it was a refreshing experience.
>> "Do what did you think?" the girl asked him. He had to let the whole thing sink in still.
“That was, incredible.” He stumbled over the words a little bit, but they were sincere. The entire experience had blown him away. However, when she asked him if he was interested in another round, he found himself hesitating. Perhaps it had actually been more then he was ready for, and little too quickly.
“I don’t know.” He started. He scratched his head as he slowly assumed his humanoid form again, looking around, eyeing the control panel. He was definitely out of shape, and he’d lost a bit of his mass as a result of that much physical exertion. He really wasn’t cut out for combat, at least not yet. “Maybe a break wouldn’t be such a bad idea.”
She was glad shane had liked it, She knew she loved it herself. Their was nothing better then being in the dance and losing yourself to it's embrace. Aura had learned to do so, she knew because of how she had been brought up. Most people lacked even half her experience. She walked over to the machine and began the shut down process, as she did, The machine sent smaller robots out to sweep away the remains of the destroyed robots.
"It's fine, the machine is awesome though. It can do so much, so back to the tour then?" she asked having suddenly remembered the tour they had started. She ahd forgotten it almost entirely during the fight. Her Aura settled down to a thin outline around her body before smpel dissopearing. She started for the exit flexing her back as she did. "Always nice having somone to train with as well she said to Shane.
Shane was panting pretty heavily, but he was still able to stay focused on the little machines that had suddenly spread out over the floor of the now back to normal hologram room. The quickly swept over the damage that had been left over from their training exercise, making it look like nothing had happened.
He found himself reconsidering Aura’s offer of another room now that he was seeing the fantasy melt away completely, but that was far more of a work out then he’d had in quite some time, and another one was sure to drop far too much weight off of him. It was in his best interest to call it a day.
>> “Back to the tour then?"
Shane’d forgotten entirely that that was how he’d gotten here the first time. Slowly he was piecing his day back together in his head, though. “No,” he started, still trying to catch his breath a bit. “I think I need something to eat and a nap more then anything right now.” He took a tired glance toward Aura, realizing that he was still quite lost in this place. “Any chance you can point me back towards the lunch room?”
