The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Got a plot in mind?
MRO plots are player-created the Mods facilitate and organize the big ones, but we get the ideas from you. Do you have a plot in mind, and want to know whether it needs Mod approval? Check out our plot guidelines.
Haha, not quite ready to deal with an adapted (Mainly because I have no idea how Shane's power would react to it).
A cop would be a pretty reasonable opener I think though. Or a cop in Training. I could always go and eat a hobo. That would make for pretty reasonable excuse for a police officer to stumble upon him. He's meant to have just recently stumbled into the city and plans on keeping a very low profile, at least for now, so whatever we end up doing will probably be a rather awkward and somewhat defensive interaction on Shane's part.
Who is your fourth, out of curiosity? I know of Lenna, Shin, and Aurum (obviously).
And haha, I was unaware you were also Canadian Lucas, do you have any ideas? same basic criteria as above.

As Lucas is currently homeless, we could end up meeting in an alley or a park one evening when he is bedding down or dumpster diving. Good enough places for Shade to be hunting if you want.
Are you looking for more of a budding friendship or a confrontation?
I could see my character reaching out since you are a visible mutant and that would play off his own outsider issues. However, if you prefer a scrap, it would swing to the other end of the spectrum if he saw you snatch another Labrador.
I'm down for somewhere in between. Somehow I doubt friendship is in the stars just yet, but full out attack doesn't need to be the only other option. Who knows, maybe you can save someone/something I try and kill, scaring me off momentarily? (I forget how quick your powers work, so I'm not sure if that's possible). I'm open to suggestion on the plot of this thread, but I think it's safe to say an alley or something similar will be the setting.

What do you both think about putting all these ideas together? I could be trying to sleep in the alley. Shade mistakes me for an easy meal. Either Aurum’s cop or trainee shows up to scare you off.
I'm down for a scenario like that. I feel like it might be a better use of your powers if I go after someone other then you, but I'm open to either. I guess we have a reasonable start to this whole thing then. Does it sound fine to everyone else?
