Character
Personality: The Joe is an Ego-Maniac, and has tendency to manipulate people (Usually not with any ill intent). He has issues with depression if idle for too long, so he is very busy. He is always learning, building, or socializing. A slow afternoon at home is a nightmare for him, though a weekend in the mountains is sometimes exactly what he requires. When around new people, he prefers to have them assume that he is "Just a dumb redneck". Hobbies/ Interests: The Joe's hobbies are all about taking things apart, improving or modifying them. He is very interested in old cars, trucks, and motorcycles. Also is fascinated by all forms of weaponry, politics, and anything he doesn't understand.
Joe owns two trucks and a motorcycle, all of which were bought in non running condition and restored. (Not sure if I went too detailed, but I was asked to address how Joe managed to afford these, the simple answer being that if you have the skills, its amazing what you can accomplish without spending much money)
-1983 Honda Magna V65 (1100CC motorcycle). This was bought for only $500 in non running condision after sitting for five years. Joe spent two months rebuilding the braking systems, replacing the worn out or leaking gaskets, and restoring it to useable condition. It is mostly black, very few chrome pieces remaining.
-1971 Chevrolet K5 Blazer (2wd and lowered, adapted for track use). Joe wanted to build a track vehicle and found the old truck sitting neglected with no engine or transmission, and the paint was destroyed. Joe was able to build most of the parts for the truck himself, spending a lot of time, and very little money. The truck is flat black, and has a 454ci engine, that is extremely loud.
-1969 Jeep Kaiser M35A2, (Deuce and a Half) demilitarized 6x6 truck, which is his preferred delivery truck. (You should ask in Character how he can afford to drive it) This truck was something Joe had wanted for years, though no one really understands why. It was bought on military auction, and was still the most expensive of Joe's vehicles at $2500. The truck needed some love but was road worthy only 3 weeks after Joe bought it.
Job or part time job and description: The Joe works as a Pizza Delivery Driver near the mansion, where he makes surprisingly good money in tips. (Despite refusing to use a fuel efficient vehicle) The Joe also runs a small buisness at home fixing and modifying Xbox 360s. He calls his at home business "Joe's Jtag" and even has buisness cards. Fears/ phobias/ concerns: The Joe has been in more than his fair share of Automotive and Motorcycle wrecks while being reckless on public streets. He therefore is rarely seen being a passenger, and will not allow reckless driving while he is in a vehicle. Also distrusts people that are too quiet in group settings. Special talents: Very gifted in fabrication, repairing mechanical/electrical objects, and the art of gently manipulating people, for their own good of course.
Morality
Good/ bad/ neutral/ other: There is no clean cut "Good", and The Joe is no exception. He likes to consider himself to be a Good person, everything from helping someone broken down on the side of the road to assisting a homeless teenager with a meal and sometimes a shower. That being said, Joe considers himself to be a little bit selfish, even in his selflessness.

Fighting Style
Explanation: Spent his teen years learning Tae-Kwan-Do, taking a specific interest in weapons sparring. Also spent his spare time practicing the very basics of sword fighting, and learning how to throw knives.
As a young adult he was in the Army (Not something he will talk about) where he learned Army Combatives, and learned how to operate a rifle effectively, and was taught the basic operation of the M249 "SAW" and the M-240B. Also was trained in the basics of operating some of the heavy weaponry, including the fully automatic grenade launcher, the vehicle mounted 50 cal, the AT-4 (Anti tank), and his favorite, the M203 under barrel grenade launcher.
Since leaving the US Army Joe took an interest in 12 Gauge shotguns and revolvers. After being robbed while working, Joe got his concealed weapons permit and bought himself a used .44 revolver and carries it under his jeans whenever he leaves home. (especially at work, despite the fact that even with a concealed weapons permit this is illegal) He does not see any reason to carry extra Ammo, only the six in the weapon, after all, what might he he encounter that he couldn't put down with his six shots? Will sometimes also have a knife on his belt or secured to his leather jacket when not at work, depending on where he going and his mood.
Also, Joe keeps a 12 gauge pump action shot gun in his home that he received from his grandfather.
Pros for fighting style: The Joe prefers to avoid fighting, and usually does a good job of it. He can use with moderate effectiveness any weapon available. (Favoring a rifle or a blade usually) Also understands how to adapt, how to not become reliant on a weapon, and how to take advantage of those that do rely on their weapon. (Example, a man with a knife forgets he has two hands, and if he was to loose that knife forgets he has a fist.) Cons for fighting style: The Joe is NOT the most powerful man his age, and despite his Ego, he lacks confidence in a fight against an opponent of any decent ability. Joe also lacks an abundance of physical strength compared to other warriors his age. He also lacks real experience outside of military training, apart from the occasional dealing with petty thugs in the Ghetto. Also, does not have much ammo with him on most occasions.
Faction Allegiance Unaffiliated
History Of Your Character The Joe is very simply, a young man with an above average intelligence that refuses to do any above average intelligence type work. Joe was home-schooled until high school, and then attended public high school. While homeschooling the state required some form of physical education class, and Joe was able to take Tae-Kwan-Do to meet the requirements. Joe stopped taking the martial arts classes when he began to work at the age of 16, and since his 16th birthday has bought all his own food, and all his own cars. Joe made a habit out of buying his cars in non running form, and then selling them for significantly more than he had paid for them. This led him to be very, very good at creating or rebuilding the things that he wanted. After all, anyone can own something, that just takes money. Means nothing until you can build it.
Joe spent a short period in the Army, which really only consisted on basic training (10 weeks of boot camp) before he received a medical discharge. While in the military Joe was trained in the basics of Army Combatives (Think wrestling, but MUCH more lethal) and learned to the basics of how to operate US military rifles. This is not something he likes to talk about, because he sees getting discharged as a failure in his life.
After the military he moved into a bad neighborhood in Tacoma, Wa. He worked evenings and nights, and attended Physics classes at the local community college. After a particularly bad breakup, he decided to let the woman keep most of his belongings and loaded his life into the trucks, dead set on a new start. Recently, he moved into a studio apartment in New York, nearby the home of the X-Men.
Roleplay Where did you learn about this site?: Google is my friend! Do you have any other characters on MRO, if so who: N/a Sample RP: (An action scene is easy, if you can do a simple scene with nothing really going on and have it be impressive I think says much, much more.)
As Joe walked up the side walk he took a moment to appreciate the upper-class neighborhood and the beautiful clear night. Three steps led up to his right to carry him from the driveway to the large, wraparound porch, decorated in overpriced, low quality, made in China, garbage. Joe shook his head and checked his uniform as he moved the pizza bag to his left hand.
The ornate doorbell played a little tune to alert the homeowner, which was immediately followed by the bark of a very large dog and a young boy screeching “Pizzas Here!! Mom, Mom, Pizza is Here!†Joe chuckled as the boy’s mother opened the door, holding back the dog by his collar, her son about three and a half years old and clinging to her leg with a big grin.
Joe couldn’t help but notice the woman was still in her work clothing, and she looked exhausted. Her style of clothing suggested she most likely worked as some form of receptionist, possibly a real estate agent or something comparable. Joe removed the pizzas from the hot bag and bent over to talk to the child, as she gave a half sincere greeting and dealt with the dog, whom she called “Bowserâ€.
“Hey buddy, you think you can help your mom out and put these on the counter for me?†Joe said kindly as he carefully held the Pizza, wanting to ensure the child wouldn’t drop it. The young boys face lit up as he enthusiastically took the pizza and ran towards the kitchen. Joe stood back up straight, looking at the boy’s mother with a sincere smile. Bowser seemed to have lost interest and ran to chase the child into the kitchen also.
“I can’t help but love my job, to kids his age I am a superstar.†Joe chuckled a little as he handed the credit card slip to the young woman and told her the total. She thanked him kindly and when Joe got back to his truck he noticed she had also tipped kindly also.
