The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

"Will do. I'll have my people start investigating your case, Mr. Sable." Derek says, taking the card and putting it in his pocket. "I have to get to work on some other things, but Debbie will make you an appointment for tomorrow and you'll be all set." Derek says with a smile and a nod before disappearing back into his office.

At the day's end, Derek once again locks up all of the doors. He goes up to his room, and in routine goes to his closet and suits up as The Archer.
He exits his closet and hears the ring of his doorbell, followed by frantic knocking. "Shit." Derek curses to himself, removing his mask and throwing it in closet. He grabs a bathrobe and puts it on around him, covering his uniform.
Quickly, he jogs down the stairs and looks out the peep-hole of the door. It's Molly. "Derek! Please! Open the door!" She says through a cracked voice. Derek opens the door and looks at his lead investigator, her beaten and bruised face. He is nearly sent backward and she rushes in, clinging to him. "Molly? Who did this to you?" He asks, comforting her.
Molly sniffs, and her voice cracks as she speaks. "Malloy, he-he-he," She stutters as she speaks, no doubt this happened just a few moments ago. "he saw that I was following him, and he didn't notice, and he attacked me." She says through a crys.
Derek pushes her away to look into her eyes. "Where is he?" He asks, his voice growling with anger. His robe slowly opening down the middle, no longer caring about his secret, not to her.
She looks at his uniform for a moment, her hands resting on his chest. "You're The Archer..." She says quietly, her eyes now filling with tears of happiness as she hugs him. "Last I saw he was at his mistresses' apartment."
Derek nods, taking her hand and leading her up to his bedroom. "Stay here, I'll be back in a few hours." He says, going back to his closet and putting on his mask and grabbing his bow and quiver full of arrows. He leaves Molly there, and speeds off toward Malloy.

Derek returns four hours later. He puts the motor cycle back in the garage and then through the back door walks up to his room, where he finds Molly laying on his bed and watching TV. He opens the door, taking off his mask.
"We don't have to worry about Mr. Malloy anymore." He says, going to his closet and replacing his gear, coming out in a pair of board shorts and a white t-shirt.
"What did you do?" Molly asks, sitting up as Derek sits on the bed. "The Archer," Derek starts. "took care of things. And in doing so, we can also prove to Mrs. Malloy her husband was cheating."
"Derek...I....thank you." She says, hugging him tightly. "Would you mind if I stayed here tonight?" She asks, looking up into his eyes.
"Go ahead, but-" Derek starts, but is cut off by a kiss from Molly. He pushes her back, looking at her. "Molly...I can't let something start between us." He says, shaking his head slightly. "You would only get hurt, just like Kristen and our children."
Molly bites her lower lip. "Derek that was a year ago." She says, cocking her head the side slightly. "If you can't move on now then you'll never be able to." She says, wrapping her arms around his neck. "Ever since I started work here I've had a thing for you, and I know you knew it, don't try to lie to me."
Derek nods, still looking at her. "I know, Molly, I know." He says, looking down. "I just don't know if I'm ready for another relationship right now. Especially after...you know." He says, starting to come around a little. "Promise me you'll be careful." He says, looking into her eyes.
Molly kisses him again. "I promise." She whispers in his ear. A wide smile grows on her face, one much more of just happiness, but of devious nature.
The two exchange a few more kisses before getting underneath the sheets, and falling asleep.

(ooc: Not for long.)
Derek wakes up in the morning, and looks out at the sun through a large window. He puts his hands to his temples and rubs at a headache.
"Good morning." Molly says, placing a hand on his chest and rubbing slightly. There's something about her smile that disturbs Derek, but he's not sure as of yet what it is. "So I have a plan for the day..." She says as she shifts her body and sits on top of Derek.
"Which is?" He asks, squinting at her through the sunlight.
"We rob a bank." She says quickly, and just as quickly kisses him, not letting him give her a response. Her kiss is long and intense, barely giving Derek any time to breath before she turns it into an even more strenuous activity. She doesn't let him up as things get more physical, and keeps occupied with kisses.
After the two are finished, Molly lay slightly on Derek's chest and on the bed, tracing circles with her fingernails on his chest. "So what bank do you want to rob?" He asks her, sitting up and walking to the shower. She follows him into the bathroom and watches him strip. She gives him appreciative looks as he gets underneath the hot water of the shower. "Your turn." He says, a smile on his face that doesn't belong to him.
"Gladly." Molly says, starting to do her best strip tease, which Derek appreciates greatly. After about two minutes she finally gets underneath the water, almost instantly kissing Derek once again. She pushes him against the wall and begins to kiss his neck. "The one on fifth street." She says, and begins to kiss Derek on more than the mouth, doing her best to please him using any body part of hers or his.
"Again?" He asks, lifting her up, her legs wrapping around his waist as he pushes her up against the wall underneath the shower head.
"All that it takes to get you under my control." She whispers into his ear, and then kissing and biting his ear lobe slightly.
In a few minutes they are out of the shower, and Molly puts on a robe and runs to her car while Derek suits up as The Archer, in broad daylight, something he normally wouldn't do. Molly returns a few minutes later in a home-made costume, or rather a modified, very revealing Halloween dress, a slit down the middle starting her belly button and slowly widening up to her shoulders. Two slits running up her legs and thighs end at a few inches below her hip and she wears black thigh high boots.
"Why are you wearing that?" Derek asks, waiting to put his mask on and taking very good looks at her.
"Well, my dear..." She says, moving closer to him, and wrapping her arms around his neck, making her voice sound as sexy as possible. "You are The Archer..." She kisses his neck. "...and I am The Seductress." She kisses him full on.
The two leave soon, heading straight for the bank.

The Archer returns to his home the next night in a "barrowed" car from the mansion. He parks it in his garage and heads up-stairs. It's early to turn in as The Archer, but Derek is tired from the last two days. He takes off his mask as he gets to his room, and throws it down in the closet rather than putting it back in the armorie. He does the rest of his gear the same way, the armor in his chest plates making a loud thump as they hit the floor. He shuts the closet door and falls back on his bed, falling into a light sleep quickly.

Derek wakes up in the morning, and heads for the bathroom. He starts a shower and gets underneath the water. He gets out ten minutes later and drys off. He walks to his closet and walks inside, tripping over his gear. An arrowhead pokes into his leg, but doesn't go too deep. He pulls it out with ease and applies pressure as he wraps an old t-shirt around the wound. He grabs some clothes to wear and heads back to the bathroom.
He cleans and dresses his wound, and then gets dressed himself. He heads downstairs too open up for the day and then goes to his office, shutting the door behind him. He picks up his telephone and dials a number. The phone rings several times before someone picks it up.
"Austin Cash." A man answers.
"Austin, it's Derek. Listen, Molly has been...let go, and I need someone for lead investigator and I believe you're the best qualified for the job. If you want it, the offer is on the table." Derek says, leaning back in his chair.
"That's great, I'll take it! I'll be in soon." Austin says excitedly.
"Good, good. Don't rush anything, you're going to have a load when you get here. Just come in whenever your ready, I'll see you later." Derek says, hanging up the phone. He leans on his desk and then pulls the keyboard to his computer nearer as he starts to research.

Derek spends the rest of the business day in his office, not being bothered by much. It's not quite dark before everyone leaves, so Derek can't quite go out just yet. He walks into his living room, and sits down on his couch. He grabs the remote on the coffee table and turns the t.v. on.
"In other news, New York City has a new hero on it's hands. The Archer seems to have some competition on the way if this video tape sent into by an anonymous viewer is indeed true." A news anchor says, and the news feed cuts to a home video recording of a family event. Some background noise is heard, some people screaming "look ever there!" The camera shifts qucikly and points towards the rooftops where a man with a cape is seen jumping between two buildings.
Derek turns off the t.v. and looks out the window, the sun had apparently gone down while he was watching the television. "Some jackass is either going to get themselves or me killed." He says to himself as he stands.

Derek looks out the window, but can't see anything. He goes to the door and looks through the peep-hole. He sighs slightly, opening the door to Jordan. "Mr. Sable, I'm afraid my business has closed for the day, is something wrong?"

"Please." He says his hands leading Jordan in. It is probably a good thing that Jordan is blind, for the look on Derek's face could kill. "I'm not sure what you're implying, Mr. Sable. I thought I told you I don't investigate cases?"
