The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Tired of unpacking and getting his room set up, Terran Harken walked into the kitchen. His stomache ached for food. He hadn't eaten ina few days, and now would be a perfect time to fix his hunger problem. Besides this place probably had some better supplements that the usual tavern he visited regulary. Terran reached into his pockets for a pack of marboro ciggerettes and tapped the bottom of the pack. A lonely ciggerette slid out into his open palm. Terran brought it to his lips. Smoking was a bad habbit, he knew but the taste he had for them was already there so he required them. Terran also brought out his silver zippo lighter and lit the ciggerette, cupping his hands. Terran breathed in the smoke and looked around the room. 'The fridge. Tha's gotta have somethin' innit.' He thought. He moved quickly over to it, careful not to wake a sleeping teen at the table. Terran looked at the boy snoring, and shrugged. 'Gotta focus.' He continued over to the fridge, opening it and being careful not to make too much noise to wake the boy. "Nothin'." He muttered, under his breath. Terran pulled out item after item. "Ice cream, milk, milk, water....Damn...." Terran slammed the fridge door shut, forgetting the boy who slept on the table. "Whhooozaat?!!" The boy shouted, jumping and falling out of his seat. Terran turned, taking in another inhale of smoke. "Calm down sunshine nothin' but a hunry mutant..." Terran said. The boy looked startled. "You new? I I mean....I've never seen you around here....aren't you a bit....old?" He asked, wiping the drool off his chin. Terran narrowed his eyes. "Not old enough to kick your...." He started but was interupted. The boy stood up, waving his hands. "I didn't mean it like that sir...I I..." Terran glared at the boy. "CAN IT WOULD YA?!" Terran growled. His stomache was killing him at the moment, and he believed that 'chocolate milk and icecream' wouldn't help much...
Kesuk walked into the kitchen and he saw a man just standing near the fridge. Kesuk was starving so he went to go pick up some pizza. He threw the 2 large pizzas on the counter and grabed a slice and shoved it in his mouth. He looked to the guy near the fridge and asked "want some?"
Terran looked over to the new person. The boy who had been Terran's "victim" jumped up at the chance and ran out of the kitchen. Terran smirked, hearing the boy's sneakers squeek off as he ran. 'Called me old...' Terran chuckled. Terran turned, peering down at the pizza. "How much ya got left o' tha'?" He asked, finishing off the ciggerette and stomping on it with his boot.
Kesuk saw the boy run out and looked to the man. "How much ya got left o' tha'?" He asked " a whole pizza! want some?" kesuk asked as he grabbed another peiec and shoved in his mouth meanwhile handing the pizza box to the man "im kesuk. im new just got here today"
Terran thanked Kesuk. "Yer a lifesaver mate..." He took a slice and bit into it. His stomache gurgled with joy when Terran finished half of the pieces. He wiped his mouth on a napkin and held out his hand. "Terran Harken. Much thanks mate.."
Kesuk laughed a little to see this man starving. " any time" kesuk said flipping his hair our of his face " Pleased to meet you Terran" extending his hand and firmly shaking it. After Kesuk grabbed the pizza boxes and threw them away in the trash. Kesuk looked at Terran and he looked like a normal guy like himself but he wondered what his mutation was. After wandering around in space for a miniute or so he asked " So how long have you been around here?"
Terran smirked at the question. "Coincidently I too 'aven't been 'ere tha' long..Two, three days tops?" Terran replied, reaching for a chair and sat down at the table... 'ope tha' pizza wasn' too old...' He thought to himself. Terran looked up to Kesuk. "So wha' are ya 'ere fer Kesuk?"
Kesuk listened to him talk and then answered back " Im here to learn more about my 'gifts' you can say. I only found out about them a few months ago. How about you?" He asked while going to the fridge and pouring him self a glass of milk
Terran nodded. "I guess we all come 'ere fer the same reasons.." He said. He tapped another ciggerette into his hand and brought it to his lips. Before lighting it he asked; "Don' min' this do ya?"
OOC: Technically, this would be the day after the danger room thing Hurricane, so let's just not mention that XD
Fiona's appetite never really acted up, however she knew when she had to feed herself. After a long drive back from Times Square, she made sure to have the things unloaded and sent to her room. Deciding now was as good a time as ever to feed herself, she walked to the kitchen. Upon entering, she noticed two new people who she hadn't seen around before. Of course, this wasn't a surprise as she was a newcomer as well. To her, the Headmistress was new.
"Hey boys," she said innocently. "Hope I'm not walking in on anything."
Looking over at the both of them, she noticed a tough looking character and the guy she had seen in the Danger Room the previous day. Noticing they were in conversation, she stayed quiet whilst she looked around for the ingredients she wanted for a salad. Hopefully she would find something, otherwise she would need to do some more shopping.
Kesuk looked at Terran about to light his ciggarette and got little nervous but he didnt care. Then he asked Kesuk if he minded " Well acually i dont care for smoking and stuff like that it kind of bugs me. But go ahead i dont care ill just open the doors and window." he said " You know thats bad for you right?" he said. " well yah, back to why we are here. Yah i guess we are. do you mind my asking what your 'gift' is?" Kesuk then saw the girl enter that he had seen the yesterday in the training room " hey how are you nice to see you again." he said smiling dumbfoundily. there was something about this girl that made him wild
He lit the ciggerette, inhaling then replying to Kesuk; "Yeah I know...bad, bad..." He rubbed his burn on his left side of his face "I'm a shapeshifter.." He concluded. Terran turned his head towards the woman. He nodded towards her. "No not at all miss.."
Fiona smiled at Kesuk and continued towards the refrigerator. Quickly finding a few salad greens, she tossed those on the counter and walked to the storage closet to see if they had a bit of olive oil, vinegar, the likes.
Hearing about the stranger's ability, she calmed her spark of interest. She didn't know if the new person would mind her asking about it, so maybe Kesuk would ask about it first. Finally finding oil, vinegar, salt, and a few herbal seasoning powders, she set those down as well. She looked to the pizza box and grimaced, but then smiled. She always needed to remind herself that most people weren't completely alert when it came to their health. But then again, it was only her with the giant phobia of doctors.
Sighing, she turned back towards the refrigerator and pulled out a tomato. No cucumbers...
"I should try to stock this place up..." she muttered under her breath with a bit of a giggle.
Terran peered over at her. "Wha's tha'?" He asked, finishing off his ciggerette. Terran frowned. "Damn...out again..." He cursed, burning out the ciggerette and tossing it in the wastebasket. Terran seemed interested in what the woman was doing, and began to watch her intently..
Fiona set to chopping the greens and tomato into small pieces to go into her salad. Taking a small bowl from the numberless that were in the kitchen, she mixed a tad bit of oil and vinegar as her base and added the spices and salt as she went to make a homemade vineagrette.
"A salad. I always go for this sort of thing. I guess I just like what people call rabbit food."
Pouring the mixture carefully into the salad bowl, she grabbed two forks and began to mix it in. "Nothing like tossing a salad after a long day."
Holding her face straight for a moment, she snorted and began to laugh out loud in her strong laughter. "Forgive me, I'm such a little kid sometimes." Placing the salad in the fridge to chill for ten minutes, she washed her hands and dried them off. Walking to the stranger, she held out her hand.
"I'm Fiona Ciapercelli." Then, looking down, she picked up the butt of a cigarrette and tossed it in the trash. "Bad habit, but throwing it on the ground? For shame." she giggled. She wasn't a nazi when it came to cleaning, but she would at laest make sure that she could help the cleanliness effort as much as possible.
