The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Another point for tree lady as she figured out what Amber's intentions were. She nodded at the question, inputting the numbers into her phone. It was certainly a little on the slow and clumsy side about about 1000X better than not having any form of communication aside from chirps and head movement.
"Are you unable to shift back into your human form?"
It hadn't even occurred to Amber that she should try to shift back into human form. She had been so excited about the fact that, for the first time ever, she had transformed at will that the thought simply hadn't crossed her mind. Now that it was brought up, however, she realized that she had a rather serious problem. Mainly, that she didn't have the slightest idea how to change back. Her past shifts into dinosaurs had all come about because of being afraid, so that was easy to figure out. But her changes back had just sort of happened randomly so she didn't even know how to start. This was a problem.
Im Amber stuck like this
No, her grammar and spelling were not up to her usual levels of skill but now was not the time to worry about periods and apostrophes. Now was the time to figure out how to turn back into a human. Clearly she should have thought this out better.

Amber. Her name was Amber. Also, compared to the blackberry, she loked rather small now. Or at least not dangerously huge. More like, chicken-sized. Susan frowned. I am texting with a chicken. Shifting around carefully, Susan tried to get a better grasp on her situation. And the branch. Mostly the branch. Her position didn't look better from any other angle. Inching backwards, she ended up leaning back against the tree trunk, feet dangling as she peered down at Amber. "Yes, I think I am stuck too. Um." she sighed "Do you have someone we could call?..." she asked "... Possibly someone who knows about your, um, abilities?" Another though occured to her. "This is not your first change right?" she asked. Because that, kind of, would have made a lot of things more difficult...
Amber realized that she probably should be more worried about her current situation. After all, here she was in the middle of Central Park stuck as a very tiny dinosaur texting to a stranger who was stuck in a tree. She couldn't say that she was exactly at ease with the entire situation but she also wasn't panicking. She had never changed for more than a few hours before so eventually she would (hopefully) change back and this time she would even have her robes with her (bonus!). The ridiculousness of the entire situation did not fail to register in her mind.
"Do you have someone we could call?... Possibly someone who knows about your, um, abilities?"
Abyss
OK, so Abyss hadn't technically seen her abilities in action, she hadn't exactly had the opportunity to show him, but she had told him about them and there was no one she would trust more to come rescue her. She also sent the number to the woman in the tree.
"This is not your first change right?"
Amber shook her head and let out an indignant chirp. It was her fourth time, thank you very much. On second thought, maybe she didn't have much room to be indignant after all.

Abyss. Yes, that sounded like the name of someone who would not be freaked out by mutant abilities. Susan received the number, and glanced down at the little creature that was busy proving her wrong about the first-shift question. So, she had done this before. And she still didn't know better than to practice in the middle of the city park?... Or she hadn't been stuck before?... Weird. Susan dialed the number, and waited for someone to pick up the phone. Rrrring. If it didn't work, she'd have to call someone from the Mansion. Rrrring. Or the fire brigade. Rrring. Or animal control. Rrring. ... no, she probably wouldn't go that far. Rrring.
" Hello, this is my Machine you know"the scratch of static travels through the receiver as the phone is finnally answered."This Is Abyss."
The voice on the other end was a deep baritone, Susan very well might recognize it as Pluto,if she thought back far enough to the day when things got started.
How did Amber manage to get herself into these situations. She hopped, feeling restless as she waited for Susan to, hopefully, get a hold of Abyss. Or really anyone that could come rescue them. At least she was small enough to hide if she needed to, right? Although that would only delay the inevitable problem of needing to get back to Sanctuary. Unless she could somehow figure out how to change back, but that didn't seem to be happening any time soon. Thinking human thoughts just wasn't working.
Amber looked way up at the woman in the tree. It was ringing for an awful long time wasn't it? Maybe Abyss wasn't home and if that was the case, then what would she do? Finding a little nook to hide in was looking like a better and better idea as the seconds ticked by.

"This Is Abyss. Can I help you?" "Yes, please." Susan answered prompty and politely, keeping an eye on the little creature below "My name is Susan Hyde, and..." Information registered in her brain. The voice was familiar. Familiar to her ears, perhaps, but even more so to her eyes. As the little dinosaur was reduced to a handful of moss-colores chirps, the voice took on a very familiar tint... "...Pluto?!" Susan paused, shaking her head. What are the odds? "Um, I am here with a, um, girl. Amber. She is... in a bit of a situation. And so am I. In Central Park."
