The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

"Really?" Dominic frowned putting his hand to his cheek after being back handed. Terrible timing his foot. Good timing in Dom's opinion. Normally he wouldn't be a spoil sport like this, so of course he had good reason. Even after he'd told Sam about what his senses were picking up, he'd actually go through the deed with that woman? He sighed and glared back angrily at Sam. " You know what, never mind. " he wanted to stop there, but he felt like the rest to follow had to be said.
"That eyepatch you wear? It's just a kick in the nuts of how I couldn't be there in Romania to come to your aid. That's what brother's do. They watch each others backs. So that's what I'm trying to do. Something you would probably regret later. You always scold at me or smack me whenever I make a mistake. Luckily I'm not a hard ass like you to do that, but I will say that I REALLY think you're about to make a mistake. I see what girls mean when they say you're being such a guy right now because you are. I tell you I smell blood and dead bodies and instead of investigating, you want to make woopy with the weird easy lady. I don't think she should be sleeping with the customers anyway. Thought this was a motel, not a freaking brothel." he curled his fists and inhaled and exhaled slowly to try and cool himself down. Last thing he needed was to lose his temper and go apesh*t....literally. "So go ahead and go back in there and snoo it up all you want. Sorry for actually being concerned for your well being."

Sam’s irritation melted away as Dom explained why he was acting the way he was lately, Sam didn’t say anything at first but just stood their stunned not exactly sure how to react. Sam was never good with this emotional stuff anyways especially when it came to concerning family, something up until ago he never had. When Dom said his peace Sam raised his hand high into the air only to bring it back and rest it on his brother’s head.
Pulling his head into his brothers and resting his head on his hand so the hand separated him, ”Even if you were there, you couldn’t have done anything, Alex was there and they had her pinned, everyone else was in a cell, even if you were there I wouldn’t have let you do anything anyways…” he pulled away and shook his hand on his brother’s head gently ruffling his hair, ”It’s just an eye, I have two.” Sam pulled his hand away from Dom and then looked back at the door having a feeling if Susan could stare through it she was.
”And I was planning on asking her about the blood and stuff, I am taking what you said seriously, I haven’t let my guard around her once, I already checked the room before dinner, there were no camera’s no secret doors… this isn’t the first situation like this I have ever been in.” he smirked and ran his hand through his hair, ”She said she worked he for a long time right? So wouldn’t it make sense she would know what was going on if there was going on? For all we know someone got killed a few months ago and housekeeping just sucks…”
he placed a hand on his doorknob and rested it there, ”If it makes you feel any better, I won’t go any further with her…” he was reluctant to say it but if his brother was that genuinely worried about him then he would at least make him a promise to put his mind at ease. ”So go back next door and listen in on the conversation we are about to have, I promise I’ll handle it.” he was about to go in when he looked back at Dom, ”And if something is fishy about this place stay close got it, I know you can handle your self but you’re the only family I got and it took us fifteen years to be reunited... Now go back to your room and lock the doors, keep your ears open and your nose sharp.”
Opening the door Sam quickly entered leaving his brother out in the hall hoping Dom would do what he was told, ”Susan…” Sam said as he locked the door behind him and already felt the girl’s cold hands on his skin. It was weird; even though the hotel room was pretty warm her hands were still cold, even Sam could tell a noticeable difference. ”I need to ask you a question…” Sam said as he turned around and placed his hands on her back pulling her into a hug, before he let go and walked over to the bed.
She followed all to eagerly like a lion stalking its prey oblivious to its surroundings. Once he was laying down in bed she limbed on top of him their lips met, “What did you want to ask me?” she asked as her hand trailed south only to be caught by his hand which in turn laced with hers, ”Can I ask why this place smells like blood?” Sam asked curiously waiting for a response.
His anger simmered down and all Dominic could do was blink at Sam's reaction. He expected some kind of back fire. A punch, another slap, a good chewing out but he got affection? It kind of bummed him out when Sam that there was nothing he could have done and that he wouldn't have even gotten the chance to do anything. Over protective much? Well, Dominic supposed it was better than Sam being a heartless jerk and not caring at all about his safety.
>>>”And I was planning on asking her about the blood and stuff, I am taking what you said seriously, I haven’t let my guard around her once, I already checked the room before dinner, there were no camera’s no secret doors… this isn’t the first situation like this I have ever been in.” ”She said she worked here for a long time right? So wouldn’t it make sense she would know what was going on if there was going on? For all we know someone got killed a few months ago and housekeeping just sucks…”
Dominic's eyes narrowed. If she was killing people, of course she would deny knowing anything about the blood or the smell. Then the mentioning of the house keeping sucking, precisely why Dom had brought a bag of cleaning supplies in the first place. Dominic however was a bit relieved when Sam promised not to snoo snoo any further with Susan. He didn't want to be a spoil sport on his brother's 'fun' and ordinarily, Dominic didn't care because that was Sam's own gross business, but this situation was different and itching at him. At least Sam listened and now it was time to get to the bottom of this mess. Dominic had his orders and he proceeded with them. He retreated to his room and the door was locked. Though he kind of felt that he should keep the door opened in case he needed to make an escape if something did happen. Whatever, Dominic would just go Donkey Kong and smash through a wall. They didn't seem that thick, so it wouldn't have been too difficult.
He grabbed his phone and posted his back against the wall next to Sam's room and slid down into a seating position and allowed his canine hearing to kick in to listen for the conversation on the other side. Multitasking, he looked down at his phone and logged on to his Facebook to change his status.
"Dominic Johnson: I might be fighting a succubus tonight. And she's not as hot as Morrigan from Darkstalkers either. Lame."

Her reaction made it clear she knew what he was talking about the brief second she was surprised. He noted it and then waited for a response as he initial reaction changed from surprise to confused. “What are you talking about?” Susan asked as her hand traveled south as she started to press her lips against his. He pulled away and she tried to lock lips again. ”Susan!” Sam said as he reached down and took her hand from the south and held onto it bringing to her side where it belonged.
”Answer my question, I can smell blood here, and the longer I have been here the more convinced there is a hint of decay… did something happen here?” Sam asked as he eyed the woman on top of him reluctant that the interrogation had to take place instead of snoo-snoo. “Sam… what are you talking about? How can you smell…” then it hit her, “You’re a mutant?” she asked with interest as she pulled her head back and locking fingers with his, ”Yeah, Beast mimicry…” Sam lied claiming his brothers powers for his own.
”Why I can smell the blood and the decay…” she frowned slightly and got off the bed and walked closer to the window, which was covered in a thick curtain. “Your brother a mutant?” Susan asked curiously as she put her hands behind her back seductively, ”No… he is human” lied Sam as he started to lean forward on the bed. Something was going to happen and he was getting ready for it. “Shame… you would have made a perfect slave…” Susan said as she pouted and pulled back the window to reveal that she was in fact not human… or hot… she was a skeleton.
”Wait…. What?” chucks of decayed flesh covered her bleach white bones as her formally sexy apparel drooped and hung from her bones. ”ewwwww!” Sam said as he gagged disgusted he made out with a dead chick. “Awww Sam, your too cruel… if it wasn’t for the moonlight you wouldn’t know, sides I still have feelings… feelings I hope your brother can help me with seeing as he is human, you see I can’t take control of mutants like I can humans…” Sam looked up for a second and remembered all the hungry looks from the people he saw earlier on in the ballroom.
“It seems you recalled my servants?” she said with a boney smile, yep all of them belong to me, over the years I acquired a few dozen people, this hotel was the perfect place for us, pick up who ever stops in.” Sam got up from the bed and edged over to the wall, ”So what you plan on killing me keeping my brother as your pet?” Sam asked as he placed his hand behind him ready to notify Dom that they were leaving.
“No, I need to kill you both, I’d of course eat you but your brother’s heart would belong to me, so please make this easy I’m tired and don’t feel like calling all my pets to hold you down.” Knocking on the wall Sam traced his hand around the wall and slowly started to back out of the room but as soon as he found his hand on the door knob the door slammed open and a few people were looking at him with a smile on tier face hands outstretched trying to grab him. ”Shit!” Sam cursed as he threw a punch at the only man who grabbed him to find out he didn’t let go despite the power Sam behind the punch. Grabbing the door with one hand he reached for the door and slammed it shut severing the man’s arm from his body. The hand still clenched and tugged at his arm as Sam tried to pull it free he forgot to make sure he knew where Susan was.
A body landed on his back as his first reaction was to slam it against the wall, a female grunt could be heard as she started to laugh, “Sam stop struggling!” ”Right I’m just going to let you kill me then eat my brother!” he slammed against the wall again backing away from the door trying to through her off as the door opened up as a few of her pets entered.
His cheek pressed against the wall, Dominic listened very closely to the conversation taking place on the other side. Blue eyes rolled into the back of his head as he heard Susan continuing to feign ignorance about Sam's questions. Sure, maybe she didn't really know anything, but Dominic wasn't buying it. Hearing Sam claim Dominic's powers and telling Susan that he was a human drew a look of intrigue on the 17 year old's face. He guess Sam was attempting to protect him by doing this, but it would only cause things to take a turn for the worse.
>> “Shame… you would have made a perfect slave…”
At this point, the blatant look of 'WTF' replaced his expression of intrigue. Seriously, after her escapades tonight, Dominic wasn't sure exactly what kind of slave she was talking about, but he didn't want to think about the possibilities as it would lead to him having to bleach his brain.
>>“No, I need to kill you both, I’d of course eat you but your brother’s heart would belong to me, so please make this easy I’m tired and don’t feel like calling all my pets to hold you down.”
"Sometimes, I hate being right." Dominic's face deadpanned after hearing Susan's rant. Why did bad guys always have to spill their plans? You think they'd see that flaw in why they fail so many times. If they'd just shut up and actually just go through with the plan instead of giving the heroes a heads up, maybe just maybe they could actually win. Dominic could here a struggle starting from the other side. The mixtures of psycho cackling and items being smashed and broken. It was time for Dominic to get off of his butt and help Sam. Sure, he could take the brute approach and punch a hole through the wall, but he always learned from Sam and the other X-men to always try and approach the situation with as much stealth as possible. Dominic opted to go with wallcrawling and had begun to climbing up the walls of his room, across the ceiling and slowly peeked through the window of his room. He had always joked about zombie apocalypses, but he really did not expect to actually see real life zombies, all of whom were going right into Sam's room.
"So much for this being a nice brotherly bonding trip." he grumbled. Of course he was ticked. He should be sleeping and getting rest up to finish the trip to Colorado, not fighting zombie queens and her minions. There was nothing he could really do now. So he hopped back down into the floor into a crouch and unlocked the door to slowly open it. He hoped that these would be the idiot kind of zombies, but for the first time this night he had been wrong. As soon as the door crept open, some of them had decided to barge their way into the room looking to their left and right for it's occupant. Dominic had already retreated back to the ceiling and shook his head as he crept out of the room above their heads.
He crossed over along the building's outer wall into Sam's room. Hanging from the ceiling, Dominic watched from above the thing that was on Sam's back. And Susan's voice coming from it. So she wasn't quite a succubus, but she was undead, close enough. Once again, he was hating being right about this night. He had enough of it and it was time to nip this in the bud. The teen hopped down from the roof behind Sam and Susan and a hand reached out to grab Susan by the back of her neck, his fingers digging into the decayed flesh. "It's safe to say your taste in women has definitely declined." of course Dominic had to throw in some witty comment to Sam, even if the situation was looking a bit grim. The 17 year old noticed Susan's 'pets' coming closer and increasing in numbers. "Ice the zombies, please! An ice wall to block them away, something!" he demanded as he tugged harder to pull Susan off.

The situation quickly turned from bad to worse, he had miss undead on his back trying to eat him while her legion of the undead tried to enter from the only entrance to his room other than the window which seemed to be Dom’s point of entry seeing as he heard his brother’s voice behind him lighting the load on his back. ”Well look what I came from before hard to top that isn’t it?” Sam said with a hid of sadness on the topic as he tried a joke. ”Thanks for lightening the load!” Sam said as he rotated as the grasp on his back lightened then fell.
Pushing himself away from the woman Sam turned to the door and grinned, ”Zombies, one hell of a horror film my life turned into…” raising his hands Sam activated his mutation as his thoughts went to his brother as the room started to get cold, ”Don’t move Dom!” the air around Sam became brittle as the air in front of him steamed from his breath as ha blue streak shout out from his hands engulfing the oncoming minions in a blue ice. From there Sam formed a wall in the entrance of his room making it impossible to enter unless they somehow broke down the door.
“You lied, you said your mimicked beasts!” Susan screamed under Dom’s hold as she tried to charge Sam, ”Yeah will your undead… and tried making a pass…” Sam shuttered as he looked to the frozen zombie hands from behind the broken door and the wall of ice. ”Now what?” he paused and looked to Susan, ”Not sure we can just let you be here, this hotel is a pretty convenient place to pick up travelers such as ourselves…” “nothing you can do, I’m already dead!” the girl laughed as she tried to struggle free from Dom’s grip.
"Very." Dominic thought to himself. Dominic had seen a lot of attractive women around the mansion, but Alex had that exotic look to her. Truly Sam was a lucky guy...now Dom really needed to know what happened between his brother and Alexandra. But first thing's first....Zombies! Which were put on ice by Sam. Though it also reminded Dom that he really needed to find an animal that could adopt to the cold better because a t-shirt and some basketball shorts weren't cutting it for the temperature the room had dropped to as the zombies were frozen and the room blocked off with a wall of ice.
"...Who needs shot guns when you can just freeze them in place." Dominic quipped. His grip on Susan was starting to slip. She was shaking violently to get free and her laugh...ugh. Doomed to forever haunt any nightmares he would have in the future. "You're sick. How can you do this to people?" he asked. Honestly, people just come here for a night's rest from the road and they get turned into zombies...that was just all sorts of levels of messed up. Not only that, but it also meant that a zombie apocalypse was possible. Susan probably wasn't the only one with her powers. If she was even a mutant. She probably was a just a minion of the undead.
"Well, it's quite easy you see, but I don't have to explain myself to you. Anyone can see how pathetic you are. Just by the way you've been behaving since you got here and the look in your eyes now. You're not really big bad and tough...you're just a weak little boy. You're not impressing anyone." Susan replied. Dominic gritted his teeth. Who the hell did this woman think she was? Yet she hit a nerve in him. Bad. He always did feel somewhat inferior to Sam since having been reunited. Whether it was true or not, Dom felt like Sam and everyone else held high expectations for him and Dom just didn't deliver. He wasn't the fighting type at all. Always the passive type who would enjoy spending his afternoons in the kitchen baking than in a training session in the danger room.
"But it's alright. After I kill you and I'll get Sam, also! I'll just take out his other eye so he'll have a matching pair of decaying eye sockets..." Susan laughed again. That was a terrible mistake. You can call Dom weak, call him a wimpy, make fun of his love of Beyonce and Lady Gaga, call him a pansy for having episodes of Martha Stewart Living and Paula Deen's Home Cooking on the DVR, but do not ever, EVER threaten the only blood relative he had left. Susan's laugher dissolved as did the amused look on her face as she noticed Dom's change of expression in his eyes. From cowering hero wannabe to blood lust. His teeth were bared as he snarled mimicked that of a wolf ready to go in for the kill. It might as well have been that, because whatever trace of humanity left it Dom's mind had been locked away for the moment and his grip on Susan was tightening so much till the sounds of bones snapping could be heard and seen poking out from her decayed flesh.
"Let me go! Let go of me! AHHH!" Susan screamed stirring more aggravation in the teen. Dominic left out a feral Gorilla-like roar of his own and began hammering his fist with the ape's strength onto Susan's face. Repeated blows to her head and he had began smashing it in, ignoring the carnage he was creating. Sure Susan might have been 'dead' but couldn't she function with her brain having been smashed into jelly, just like how the only way to really stop a zombie was to shoot it in the head. While she might have been long gone, Dominic continued to scream and thrash the body around like a ragdoll. The issue he'd yet to be able to solve with his powers. It was hard enough keeping his mind in dominant control whenever it battled the mind of whatever animal he was mimicking, but using his powers when he was pissed resulted in pure animalistic rage. He couldn't control himself, even if he was on the verge of killing someone he cared about. Just like when he first absorbed the Gorilla and tried to kill Sam when he lost control during a training session. Speaking of, after Donkey-Dom was finished with Susan, he looked back at Sam growling. This was deja-vu...

It’s funny how most people think that seconds don’t matter but Sam, he knew better however while he was preoccupied with the undead horde that was approaching he failed to realize what was happening with Dom. His mutation was taking control, and when Susan threatened Sam it seemed to be the final straw that broke the camels back. He jumped back as his brother bashed the woman’s face in so quickly Sam didn’t have enough time to react. Even if he could have reacted there wasn’t much he could do. Susan did say after all she was already dead so did that mean she could actually die?
His right eye winched slightly as he saw the pain and fear in his brother’s eyes as his mutation took control of him fully once again. He had been here before and it wasn’t a place he wanted to be. Once Dom had dispatched of Susan and dropped the corpse lady with the bashed in skull his brother turned to him and growled. Sam frowned slightly hoping his brother wasn’t going to turn his attention to him for a new punching bag because if so Dom would have been a little upset to find out that it wasn’t going to happen.
He took a step forward and looked sternly at Dom as the sounds of the wailing and groaning from the undead seemed to die down. He didn’t know if that meant they were done for good or they were relinquished from Susan’s control. What ever it was it meant that their was one less thing to worry about. ”DOM!” Sam yelled as he tried to get through to his brother hoping he wasn’t going to ice the poor kid. Sure he could handle the cold but he knew his brother couldn’t, not yet at least anyways.
He took another step forward to his brother and Susan and then looked from one to the other. ”Get a hold of yourself!” he yelled again the way only a brother could when he was scolding a younger brother. He kneeled down and eyed the mangled body and frowned slightly then looked back to Dom.
Brain matter was scattered on the floor and the smell of it was intoxicating. He resisted the urge to gag while he continued to stare at his brother, ”I’m fine now stop with this Dom smash businesses!” he wasn’t too upset at his brother in fact he was rather impressed with the ferocity that his brother had been hiding. He was however upset that some one had to di…
He looked down to the beaten corpse and watched a finger twitch slightly. He blinked and frowned. She did say she was undead but really? Dom just gallagered her head there was no way she could be moving… hand reacting before his mouth he shot a stream of blue and covered the corpse of his undead succubus. ”That’s enough Dom!” Sam said as he looked to his brother again not wanting to do what he had to do to his brother last time.
