The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

It was the first night of the beginning of the mission. The briefing had taken place night before with all of his team. Now it was time for them all to start the search. He'd finished mapping out his plans for that night and knew where they would go to start their search. Streak wasn't looking forward to it because he knew how hard this was going to be, but he wouldn't share that with his team. Being the leader meant that he needed to keep his teams morale high and he needed to not let them in on all the problems that would be involved with this mission. Streak was almost bored waiting for the remainder of his team to show up. Almost. Shawn had found something to do. The cool night air blew against Streak's face as he waited outside. It was a clear night and the moon shown full. The wind wasn't to strong but it was definitely cold and he needed to wear some extra clothing to make sure that he didn't stand out around here. Streak waited outside for Lily and Kasumi to show up.
Streak was wearing a pair of jeans, black steel toe boots, a t-shirt, a wool jacket and a beanie to keep his head warm. His clothing would be appropriate for what they were going to be doing. The silvermancer looked out at the street. They would end up walking quite a ways before they would end up in the area that they would be searching. He didn't have any leads yet but he was hopeful that tonight would bring them some yield and they'd be able to show some progress. Maybe if they were lucky they would be able to find a group that was looking for shelter or at least one person that was looking for refuge. These hard times weren't like the times that American mutants had gone through. This was harder because they were trying to get people out of the country before they busted the rest out of the camps.
Lily showed up on time - the least she could do was be on time at the beginning of their first night patrol. She was dressed in a much more modest way than she usually was. She wore black jeans, boots without heels (obviously), a warm blue coat and a scarf tied around her head to keep her warm. Under all these she had her jewelry read in case she needed to use it. In case. The rest was up to Shawn. She smirked. The sidekick with the silver supply. Rrright. It was a clear night outside; it wasn't stormy or rainy or anything that would have made their mission even more difficult than it already was. Lily had some ideas about what they were about to do; she did her best to familiarize herself with the details of the plan. She also had some ideas about searching for mutants. In case they didn't run into any. But she somehow suspected they would. "Hey" she smiled at Shawn as she walked out the door "Kasumi's on her way too." She kept her hands in her pockets and looked around, rocking from her heels to her toes and back again. She wasn't nervous, but she was excited. About actually doing something. Real work. Helping people. The whole deal. "Sooo. Where do we start?..."

Kasumi checks that she has everything that she needs. She slips on her heavy black jacket with fur around the hood. Fake fur nothing real she has on a pair of jeans with her snow boots that come under her knees. Soon she slips on her gloves and scarf and walks out. Soon she is on time her eyes looks around as she rests her hands at her side. She has on the make-up to cover up the spots that are on her face.
Kasumi wonders were they will start. Soon she walks in right behind Lily soon she smiles some and nods. Her nerves were nuts at first but they are easing off. She is feeling better about it. She speaks in a clam caring voice "So were do we start?" She read over the palins makeing sure that she knew them like the back of her hand. That is a very good thing.
To help other people be free that is a very good thing. She wanted to save as many as she can she does not want anyone to end up in a camp. She shivers form that how can anyone think of anything like that? She thinks that it is the worst thing in the world. Soon Kasumi shakes her head pushing her feelings to the side for the time being.

The cold was biting at their clothes. He smiled as Lily came out and was soon followed by Kasumi. The main question on their minds was where they were starting. Since there was so much for them to cover they were naturally, and understandably, curious as to where they would be starting this mission. “We’re gonna start close, just a few blocks over.” Streak answered the question once both trainees’ were there. “Let’s go.” He said and started to walk in the direction that they were going to be searching.
It was a long and cold walk for the beginning of the mission. There were plenty of things that were considered normal going on for this time of night. There were couples walking in and out of stores doing last minute shopping before they close for the night, there were busses and cars that passed them by going to and coming from wherever it was they had been. It didn’t take them long at all to reach the area they were going to be searching. It was a road mostly devoid of cars or any form of motor transportation. That wasn’t to say that there weren’t people in the street. The businesses around here were showing plenty of signs of life. And they didn’t look like they were going to be closing anytime soon. Yes they were in the bar area of the city. No they weren’t going to be partying.
Streak continued to lead the girls past the throngs of people, the cat calls, and headed towards a less than active area of the same street. The area that they were going to seemed to be the less popular clubs to get into. When they were in the clear of most of the people overhearing them he told them, “The reason we’re here is because when the Registration Act was in place in the States, there was one major place that a lot of mutants to hide out. It was the club I took you to Lily.” He said, not even caring that Kasumi knew nothing about their little outing. Finally they reached a spot that looked odd. “Why is this club closed when all the others are open?” Streak asked them a little rhetorically but also looking for an answer to see what they were thinking. He’d already made up his mind when he thought it looked odd. They were going in there to look for mutants. The word MISFITS were spelled out in a neon sign that wasn’t lit and the windows didn’t look dirty or boarded up. It just looked deserted. Odd considering how many people were on the streets just a couple hundred feet away.
“The reason we’re here is because when the Registration Act was in place in the States, there was one major place that a lot of mutants to hide out. It was the club I took you to Lily... Why is this club closed when all the others are open?” Jewel looked around. Streak - codenames on the field - had a point. The place did look odd. She kept her mind from wandering to the American registration, the camps and all the deal she only knew from rumors and other mutants, and never had to experience herself. Shawn had been there... Lily shook her head. Later. Looking at the closed club, her eyes narrowed. "Well, if you are right, they are taking 'hiding in plain sight' to a whole new level." she admitted "Might work. Or might not." Glancing around, she allowed herself a small smile. "You know why nomadic women wear so much jewelry? It's easier to move when you always have your assets on you." allowing her eyes to close, she tilted her head "When people are forced to run and hide, and do even worse things to survive, they keep whatever is small enough to keep." She let her senses flow, then frowned and opened her eyes. "Excuse me, boss, you are creating feedback here. I'll see if I can find something." Stepping a couple of feet away from Streak and towards the door, she tried again. It might be a stupid idea. It might not work at all. But it was the only thing she could sense, so it was worth a shot.
((OOC: Streak it's up to you if she can sense something inside the club ))

Kasumi looks down the cat calls she could of very well lived with out. Soon they are at a place that no one seems to be there. Kasumi blinks a few times as she walks closer to it "Maybe the left in fear?" She is not sure soon Kasumi rests her hand on the door she deeply wishes that she can seance something then it comes to her mind. Yet they will have to wate for others to leave if she did that it would be a seen. Kasumi walks close to Shawn and whispers to him "When it clears it out I can clime up to see if anyone is in there."
Oh the joy of a tree frog they can stick to anything well she can at least. She has not found anything that she can not stick to yet at the least. Kasumi hopes that she will never find anything that she can't stick to that might be bad for her. But they have to see if anyone is in there and her climbing the wall to the top seems like the best idea she has right now. Kasumi just stands close to Shawn she is not use to this place and is a little bit scared form the cat calls.

"That's right Lily." He said. It wasn't uncommon, especially in Europe for there to be gypsies that traveled the country. Of course there were still some in America but they were much less, and a lot less widely spread than they were in Europe. Streak was very glad that Lily had done her homework on this place. Although it was a little embarrassing to admit that he was causing her some feedback with her powers. "Sorry." Streak said and he took a few steps back. Kasumi certainly wanted to help but she was scared because her powers could give them away a lot more easily than someone that just looked like they were inspecting the door or looking through a window of a closed building.
"When it clears it out I can clime up to see if anyone is in there.
Unfortunately the clubs didn't seem to show any signs of hurrying the people inside the clubs so that they could have the streets all to themselves. "I don't think it's going to clear anytime soon Kasumi." Streak said a little sadly. He didn't want her to feel useless right now but then again he also felt a bit useless because he couldn't use his powers to get them in there right away. Phasing was such a wonderful gift. Especially on missions where they had to break into some place that was locked. It helped ease the process immensely. But it would be weird to see three people one minute gathered around a closed building and then two people the next gathered around that same building, and quite as suddenly all of them gone without returning back the way they came. "If she finds anything I can get us in and then you can climb all over the inside of the building." Streak said to Kasumi.
Walking closer to the building, Lily looked around, making a good impression of someone who found a well-known place closed without sign or warning. Tilting her head, she smirked as Streak stepped farther away. He was still shining like a beacon, but at least not creating feedback, and now that he was behind her she could focus her powers on the building in front of them. It was not as easy as it sounds. Precious metals and the occasional gemstones had always been there, whenever she let her powers flow; one would be surprised how common they really are. It was like light in a city at night, you can see things around you but can't always tell where the light is coming from, especially when there are a lot of sources around. Also, she had to do it quickly and without looking suspicious. Letting her eyes drift closed the took a deep breath and focused her powers.
After a couple of minutes, Lily let out a sigh and turned around to walk back to her teammates. "There is definitely something in there." she said, not really whispering but making sure people couldn't hear them "Small bunches of mixed things, mainly silver. Some of them are moving. Not in the building though" she added "Under it. I think it has a basement..." Looking at Streak and Kasumi, she pulled her coat tighter around herself. It was cold out on the street. "What's next?"

Kasumi soon nods she backs up keeping her hands in her cote pockets. Soon her eyes looks to Lily. Sensing gold and silver. That is something that can become very use full. Her eyes looks around as she keeps herself calm in all of this. Running her tongue down her lips. She will not talk right now. Taking a gloved hand out rubbing the back of her head softly. Soon she hears what Lily is saying as she nods softly.
Kasumi whispering "They could be hiding.." She is sure that is what they are doing. Kasumi hates the people having to hide. Wow this is much worse then she could of ever thought in her life. This is not good at all. Kasumi sakes her head softly. They do not need to be treated like dogs in a gutter yet they were. That just rubbed Kasumi the wrong way. More time she spends here the more she does not like it. Soon Kasumis eyes looks down as she shakes her head softly. She has to keep herself calm.

Streak looked around very cautiously. This certainly did look odd, but it couldn’t be helped. For the most part the people that were waiting to get into one of the clubs were somewhat oblivious to their odd actions, and that was the way Streak wanted to keep it. The thought never occurred to him that he’d be creating feedback with Jewel’s powers; however, it did make sense that he would because he was in such a close proximity and was the biggest source of silver anywhere.
"There is definitely something in there." "Small bunches of mixed things, mainly silver. Some of them are moving. Not in the building though" "Under it. I think it has a basement..." "What's next?"
That was the answer that he was looking to hear. He’d chosen this location out of pure chance that they might find something that would point them in the right direction anyways. But finding something under the building that was moving around was even better than he could have hoped for. “We go in.” came Shawn’s short reply. He stepped closer to the Lily and the door and started to inspect it.
"They could be hiding.."
Kasumi had been quiet thus far and her statement was obvious but she was new to the missions, as was Jewel, and it was something that they all knew was a good thing. If they were hiding then they might want to get out of the country and not have to fight. It was a perfect opportunity for them to get off on the right foot. Once his inspection of the door was complete and he was satisfied that he could get them in easily enough, he casually created some silver and picked the lock. Sure he could have just phased through the door but that required a more obvious display of his powers than he liked, and he thought it was fun to see how long it would take him to pick the locked door. It did take a few minutes before he heard the distinct sound of the lock turning. Standing up and feeling thoroughly satisfied with his lock picking skills, he turned the knob and pushed. Like any good door it would have opened. Unfortunately this was not a good door. This was a bad door and happened to have more than one lock on it. Shawn gave the door a few more hard pushes and pulls to see if it would yield and open. No such luck was going.
Streak had been thoroughly embarrassed with by the door and it was now that he was going to be forced to use his powers. “Alright I’m going in. Wait right here and I’ll let yall in, in a second.” The silvermancer said. He covered himself in silver and quickly proceeded to walk through the wall like there was nothing there but a cloth to keep the draft out. The other side was dark and musky. It smelled like a place that hadn’t been used in quite some time. Some things look out of place and in the dark the X-Man couldn’t make out what it was that didn’t seem right. Deciding that he would find out in a minute he unlocked the deadbolt and opened the door and pulled his silver back into his body. As the door was completely opened for them he smiled and looked completely normal like he hadn’t just walked through a solid door. “Ah, so nice of you ladies to come. Can I offer yall a drink or perhaps take your coats. The master is waiting for you to arrive.” Shawn said this in his best butler impersonation. Maybe not the best in the world but certainly something to ease their tensions.
Lily stood by Streak as he picked the lock, doing her best to look calm and casual, and at least partly shield him from view. Picking locks. Another useful skill to have. “Alright I’m going in. Wait right here and I’ll let yall in, in a second.” Okay, maybe not always useful. And with that, he walked through the door. Jewel blinked and glanced at Kasumi - she knew a thing or two about their leader's powers, but this display of walking-through-doors was still quite shocking. Apart from the fact that it was not exactly low profile, she had no idea what could be on the other side. Some scared mutant runaways, at best. She focused her powers on monitoring what was inside the building; unfortunately all she could sense now was Streak, on the other side of the door. “Ah, so nice of you ladies to come. Can I offer yall a drink or perhaps take your coats. The master is waiting for you to arrive.” Despite her previous worries, the corner of her lips curled up as he opened the door. Streak. Always the serious and professional one. "Why that would be awfully kind of you, sir" she answered as she walked in, stepping aside to let Kasumi follow, and blinking to adjust her vision to the darkness inside "Some champagne would be nice." With that said, she returned to using her sixth sense. The things she sensed earlier were still in the building, towards the back and at least one floor down. She unbuttoned her coat as she walked cautiously towards the back, avoiding some chairs and a pool table. "Stairs up, but not down" she observed "There's gotta be a door somewhere..." She wondered if they were being watched. She could only sense the metals and stones - she had no way of telling how many people were in the building, or what their abilities were. Well, they'll just have to wait and see. And in the meantime, look harmless and friendly.

Kasumi stands there still she is breathing softly as she pulls some of her hair behind her ear. Looking back at Jewel as she nods softly looking around some. Keeping herself calm at this time soon she sees Jewel's nod soon she walks in. Kasumi looks around as she smiles some. Feeling a bit better she tits her head as she wounders who master is? Well she will find out soon.
Kasumi takes off her heavy jacket then her gloves. Under her jacket she has on a dark green long sleeve shirt. The shirt clings to her body soon she smiles more "I will have some of that also." Kasumi stands by Jewel as she looks around. It is dark in here she bites her bottom lip. Why is it so dark in here?
Kasumi stays close to Jewel as she smiles to her speaking "It is nice to get out of the cold." She thinks "And the cat calls." She wonders if a few of the men never seen a woman in there life. Shaking her head she really does not need to think of that right now. Just to get to know the people that is in here that is all. Getting them to a safe place also very good idea.

Streak smiled. At least Lily was picking up his little joke. Kasumi on the other hand might not have picked up on it. But that was fine they were both new to this and he'd spent less time around Kasumi than he'd spent with Lily. It only made more sense that Jewel would pick up on it faster than her. True Kasumi chimed in but it seemed more like it was forced than an actual reply to his joke.
"I agree. If there's people under us then they had to find a way down there. Spread out and start looking for a trap door or something that might get us down there." Streak said to the two women. He closed the door and started searching the building. "Kasumi, you said you can climb on walls right? Well go ahead and see if you can see something that we can't from down here. Jewel and I will start looking."
"Stairs up, but not down
Lily said what was out of place that he couldn't figure out just a second ago. This was not very difficult. He started to move chairs around and didn't seem to be getting anywhere except for making the place look less like it was left in a hurry. Once he was finally behind the bar he started to look for a trap door or some kind of key that might lead them to a hidden basement area. There were still tables covered everywhere along with some wine and liquor shelves along the walls. He didn't know what was above them but that might be where the key was, instead of down where they were currently searching.
The search for stairs leading down and/or trap doors did not bring any results, and after walking all over the place, Lily let out a frustrated sigh and leaned against the pool table. "I wish we could just knock." she frowned "But I don't think they'd come out that easy... as far as I can tell, they are all huddled up, and farther away from us than before. We walked all over this place, and still no way down. How on earth... Hey." She looked at Streak. She looked at Kasumi. No way. Why hasn't she thought about that sooner? She started pacing again, staring at the floor; she did not expect to find anything now, she just needed to make sure she didn't miss something more... obvious. Finally she stopped, looking at the others. "I think we forgot to add to the equation the fact that we are dealing with mutants." she said, almost amused "What if there is no way down?..." Then, of course, someone in that group downstairs would have an ability to make the impossible possible. At least for a couple of people.
