The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

“To fight and conquer in all our battles is not supreme excellence; supreme excellence consists in breaking the enemy's resistance without fighting.” Mars said quoting Sun Tzu.
Lori and Mars had decided on trying to get the ball rolling and her vision of what the Order could do under way, It would require letting the Bronx know that it was under new control, absolute control, and if it submitted to that control it would be rewarded with protection, those that resisted would serve to others of how well the order would protect them, the gangs, the police, the shop keepers, the residents would all need to learn. The Bronx would come under their control and stay that way for awhile, they would hone their techniques, Train their abilities, ensure their dominance and from there they might consider moving further, taking more of New York for them selves.
“So, with that in mind, I think we simply take every opportunity to break out those that are currently controlling the territory that we want. There are atleast two gangs that we could dissolve by force and let the actual denizens of the Bronx know that they are ours. They might even want to be ours if we accomplished this. If we want them to feel protected then indeed we should protect them first. They can find out about the hidden fees later. I also think that some of our more volatile members would appreciate this and fall under your command, I know some of the more blood thirsty members have their doubts.”
“So, what we need to decide what tasks we need to accomplish and who to hold responsible for accomplishing it. If the order is to truly succeed we need to reward success and punish negligence.”
Lisa was giving Lori a look that clearly said she was being unprofessional. But Lori had been professional all day. She'd played monkey for the sapiens and jumped through their dirty hoops and phone trees and bureaucracies for hours, days, weeks. She hadn't gotten to misbehave in a long time. Laying her face on the table wasn't all that bad. Lisa was probably more miffed that Lori had taken off her jacket, shirt, and static wicks before laying her face on the table.
"I know all this. The problem is getting them to mobilize at my word. I'm still the interloper for most of them. Still proving myself. They won't put their buck behind me until I'm worth investing in."
To her credit, her shirt had coffee spilled on it and it needed to dry. Whether that coffee spill had been intentional was up for debate.
"From what you've told me, your tasks seem clear." Lisa, on the other hand, was maintaining every modicum of decorum she had ever possessed despite her new boss' lack of proper attire. "Essentially there needs to be some kind of patrol. The radius can slowly increase once certain landmarks have been reached. The members we have yet to mobilize in any particular pursuit are Pix, Predator, Isabel, and Calley."
"I'd like to save something special for Calley. A growing boy needs proper stimulation." He had displayed an apt and cunning mind along with a certain cavalier attitude and will to survive. She couldn't send Calley on a patrol to rough up some idiots. He would likely tell her where she could shove those idiots and find something more interesting to do on his own. No... they would find something suited for Calley later. For now...
"Mars, we could split Predator, Isabel, Pix and one of the red brothers up and send them to take apart the rabble in our territory."
~~"I know all this. The problem is getting them to mobilize at my word. I'm still the interloper for most of them. Still proving myself. They won't put their buck behind me until I'm worth investing in."
“I think they will put their buck behind you, once you tell them to, but if you’d like to get out and show them how its done, that’s fine as well. You could use some stress relief. I can field your calls for a bit. Or we can go out together.”
^^"From what you've told me, your tasks seem clear." "Essentially there needs to be some kind of patrol. The radius can slowly increase once certain landmarks have been reached. The members we have yet to mobilize in any particular pursuit are Pix, Predator, Isabel, and Calley."
“The rest of the guys minus Abyss and Pluto are happy to throw their support for you where ever you need, Abyss is still mourning as of yet, but he said he approved of your actions, so don’t worry about that potential issue is out of the way, and Pluto, Well, he hasn’t checked in, in awhile, so one more thing for both of you to not worry about.” Pluto had made a menace of himself to both of the women.
~~"I'd like to save something special for Calley. A growing boy needs proper stimulation."
“Probably a good call, you might want to ask, instead of tell him what to do, he seems a bit more angsty then I remember.”
~~"Mars, we could split Predator, Isabel, Pix and one of the red brothers up and send them to take apart the rabble in our territory."
“Hmmm, Isabel and Predator, Pix and Jupiter? We’ll see what pairings work best for them. I am sure that they’ll be excited. Though we definitely need to go over the goal of the patrols before we unleash them.”
“Now, is there any certain task that you think we should take upon our selves to complete, ensure that it gets done with our own hands?” He loosend his tie, and for a moment Lisa glanced at Lori’s shirt on the table and his loosend tie. Mars couldn’t help it, did she think that they were going to do something in front of her…of course she had been the one to have to take care of the payment for one rolled Limo, but honestly.
“feel free to get a bit more comfortable Lisa.” Mars said as he sat down. Undoing the cuffs of his sleeves. “I would really like to see some teambuilding get done on a larger scale as well, the last thing we did as a big group other than that mess at KP, was Knox..”
"Team building?" Actually Lori was enjoying watching Lisa squirm. Well, it wasn't really a squirm. More like it was a slight inclination of the eyebrows and a tensing of the fingers. Lisa was one tough broad.
"We could always stage an epic capture the flag across.. no, though New York or we could crash a Church of Humanity party. Nothing brings together a group like a solid and fleshy enemy."
This is why being management sucked balls. They had to think about other people for far too long.
"Capture the flag requires two opposing teams. Is that still team building or will that encourage dissonance between team members?"
Lori shrugged which was sort of a sideways action with her face and shoulders flat against the table. It more looked like she was heal-heartedly attempting to swim a stroke across the table.
"Sometimes heckling is the best part." She shrugged again. "Making the map across the city will help. And there's no need for jailers and jail. We can just dodge cops as usual. The flags could be monuments or... oh I don't know what's something obnoxiously human that shouldn't be?"
Mars smirked as he settled reaching across the table to the back of Lori’s neck and to lightly massage the base of Lori’s neck.

^^"Capture the flag requires two opposing teams. Is that still team building or will that encourage dissonance between team members?"
“hmmm, we could, bring the game to the Kabal or the x-men I do fear that we might only bruise our own numbers if we throw them against each other .

“How about both…I hate that we have allowed those foolish human’s to sit there as long as we have. We could throw down the gauntlet with those x-men and force them to prove them selves pathetic, the leaders of the church of humanity are obnoxiously Human I would say. We can have multiple flags and see how many of their pathetic high council we can throw into the harbor, Jupiter and Mercury can wait a t a spot and if the council member survives to the harbor we throw them as far into the ocean as we can…if the xmen save them. have everyone work in pairs…we could also set fire to the COH headquarters…distract some of those jailers of yours.”
“In the end the COH is hurt, they either have to be degraded by being saved by the xmen, or die by our hands. Send the xmen something like
“ fun starts at 9pm, central park oxoxoxoxoxoxo -the Order”
"Do we really have to invite the X's? They always take it so damn personally." Besides they were wanting to build up camaraderie not the angst between factions.
"Making the Church Officials the "flags" sounds like a pretty good idea. They could really be anywhere in the city. We'll just have to find them, break their kneecaps, and let someone tall, dark, and red launch them half way to Greece." Lori rolled her face down toward the table so Mars could prod at the knots in her neck. He had such thoughtful fingers.
"I don't know about the Kabal. Would they even be interested in protecting feeble old pigs who invite doom upon themselves?" Also could they mobilize like the X's and O's could? Lori understood they were at the KP brawl, but really how much of that was Kabal and how much was X-men? They'd been sort of intermingled and she'd been sort of distracted at the time. "If all the resistance we hit is human, the game could get old fast."
"Also remember that the police are willing to overlook your illicit activities to a point. Make it too public and it could be bad for business."
Lisa had a good point. They didn't want bad business or public chaos unless their was a pay off for them in it. "Maybe this would be a good exercise in stealth and discretion." If anyone at the Order held any of those qualities, that is...
~~"Do we really have to invite the X's? They always take it so damn personally."
“No, I suppose we don’t have to invite the X’s.” He of course still felt like the X-men and Kabal needed some putting in line. A small point of tension between the two, but Mars knew when to pick his battles. Both the Kabal and the X men would do his arguing for him. See how long they stayed out of the orders way.

“Precisely.” He liked it when she agreed with his Ideas and would reward such behavior with more messaging.
~~"I don't know about the Kabal. Would they even be interested in protecting feeble old pigs who invite doom upon themselves?"
“from what I can tell, they have their own unique interests, I can’t see how the COH benefits any one, other than scared little humans.” He didn’t even bother, placating the fact that he didn’t count Lisa among them, she knew she had Mars’s respect and didn’t have to worry about off the cuff comments.

~~"Maybe this would be a good exercise in stealth and discretion."
“now that is a lesson we could use. Maybe it would be more of a cannonball run than a capture the flag then.”
Lisa wasn’t the least bit effect by Mars’ antics to annoy or disturb her, per haps she already made peace with seeing what ever there was to see in the next little while.
