The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Fiona's face immediately dropped it's neutral disposition and took on a defensive expression. Looking the man over once, she moved higher up on the Mansion roof, attempting to find a better place to survey the action. Finally taking a hold of one of the raised angles of the roof, she quickly held on to that and looked back to the man who was currently screaming down at the others.
"I don't have to take orders from you. I will say what I please, and I firmly believe what I said." she responded coldly, and then looking back down at Iris looked to him again.
"Even if you don't want to give me your name, my name is Fiona Ciapercelli. Where I come from, it's considered polite to introduce yourself to the person who you'll be working with, and as I'm stuck on this roof and there's a crazy woman down there that we need to try and contain, I think we will be."
Looking down again, she kept her gaze on Iris. She gasped as the water seemed to explode out of the pool, and a small figure with blonde hair lay almost dead at the bottom.
"On second thought, I don't think we'll need to anymore." she said, and began to look for a way down the roof.

Mettaliar listened to the man from above speak. He was surpised that he knew what Kaz was doing. He considered to talk with the man after this was all over. He needed to talk to him personally about something, and now wasn't the time. All he did was shout back to him.
"Well, why don't you come down here and actually work with us here? Instead of fighting each others let's try to get Iris to calm down together?! We shall settle our debate aftwards?" It was the least he could say to him. He didn't really want to be offensive to him. He was trying to help after all. After that he turned to Michael and decided to explain what was going on in a short story.
"Long story short, a bunch of us were kidnapped including me and her. We were put under testing against this mutant. Her real name was Jack, and her powers were extraordinary. Once she entered the room everyone went crazy. I convulsed and twitched and hallucinated and... well I think you get what happened to Iris. Well I was released a few days ago. By my guess they kept her for a longer period of time and ran more tests. She must still be under the influence. That's why I wanted to just stop her and keep her in a room instead of let her run free out here. Technically if we wait long enough she'll calm down. But-"
He was unable to finish as suddenly a loud squeal appeared to be coming from the pool and the water sprayed everywhere. "LOOK OUT!" he shouted and ducked down. He was sure the hot water would burn him, yet he felt something covering him. A glance up saw Michael laying over him shielding him. After the water landed he got up and thanked him. "Yeah I'm fine... and I assume you are too?" He didn't wait for a response though, as he ran to the empty pool. He saw Iris laying there and jumped into the empty pool and kneeled next to her motionless body. she was still alive, yet did not want to leave her.
"Quick!" he called to the others, "let's get her inside! We can take care of her in there."

Wyn looked at the woman. "Say what you want. But those comments show your ignorance and immaturity. There there things more important than my name right now. Priorities." Apparently stopping the burning woman didn't do anything, or at least not in time. The water burst from pool to fall and splash on everyone within the area, though not up on the roof thankfully. Mumbling to himself, "Idiots." He saw Iris laying at the bottom of the pool. "Damnit!" Without thinking, he lifted Fiona up off the roof as he jumped off himself.
Setting her down gently behind where the two guys were standing he continued his decent into the pool. As he landed he knelt beside her putting his fingers to her neck and leaning in to listen to her breathing and so he could watch her chest to see if it was still moving. "You wanted to kill her. You nearly did it. Think next time before you let someone boil another person alive." Standing he lifted Iris into the air and into his arms. He looked at the 12ft wall and then to Michael and Mett who had just jumped down. With a thought he lifted both guys up and over the wall a foot or so, dropping them without care to how they landed.
He lifted himself up out of the pool slowly, not wanting to jostle her around too much. As he reached the ground above the pool, he began to let out an area suggestion to everyone within the area, as strong as he could: Calm, Quiet. He wanted to make sure people weren't going to get angry with everything. Wyn knew his actions were harsh, and could be concidered rash, but he wasn't looking at Iris as an enemy like it seemed the others had been, but someone who needed to be helped.
He would have walked if he could do it without moving her around too much. So he opted to float above the ground. They had made their way around the building, farther than he had realized. He was headed towards the front doors so he could get her to the infirmary.

Mettaliar had been lifted out of the pool and landed harshly on the ground. As much as he wanted to punch that guy in the face, he had control of Iris and he didn't want her to fall. So he simply got up and rushed after him walking alongside him. Now that Iris was out and the guy seemed to have control he could just let out what his little anger at him.
"Look, I can understand you confusing our actions as hostile, yet we were only trying to help. We wanted her out of the pool so that we could get a hold of her. There was no way we were gonna let her die in there. Understand that, that's all I ask for." He then let out a little tear. If there was one thing that hit him, it was people confusing him for a mean person. Luckily, the tear came out of his right eye, so it was not so easy to catch it. He tried to be calm, and since that was let out he could talk softer. "So where are we going to take her? Infirmary? Even if we don't know if the effect has worn off?" He didn't say it in a harsh way, only out of concearn. He didn't want anyone to get hurt, and now that he was being confused for a would-be murderer he was more cautious.

Michael was a little surprised about the lift out of the pool, but was grateful none the less. It almost made up for the guy’s lectures. However, soon afterwards he didn’t feel that bothered about the guy’s attitude. In fact he felt very calm.
He also didn’t feel the need to say anything, feeling that quiet would be a good idea. Wanting to make sure everything was ok he followed the guy and iris towards the mansion.
