The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Eyebrows slanted inward as he stared at his boss as Slate’s expression didn’t really change, the slightest change in the runt sitting across from him lecturing and making his life a living hell, no change none other than a brief change in tone and volume before sounding the same again. He hated it, maybe because he had been hanging around the members of the order to long but when they didn’t like something they said it or made it known, Slate… Slate was far too hard to read.
“Drop the Mister, and it’s not the easiest thing to control hadn’t had this all my life, unlike some mutants, besides the amount of time that I would need to do something like that takes a long time, time I don’t have, between working for you, and everything else I need to do time is something I am short on.” could he be making excuses? He could have been, he certainly wasn’t looking forward to a major change like being sober all the time, besides he was happy for the most part with his mutation why try and fix something if it wasn’t broken?
Shifting his head to the side as if he heard something from behind him Bacchus regretted not bringing enough alcohol to combat the voices, maybe he was like his father after all? Shaking his head ignoring a comment about a fetus or something of the like, Bacchus sighed as he reluctantly said, “Isabel and few other mutants would be glad to know I stopped drinking and I could always pass my non-lethal attacks as an attempt to hone my mutation…” he disliked speaking of Isabel in the presences of Slate, mainly because he didn’t want the midget of a dictator to know the relationship between them something like that would only further his danger working for Slate and staying in the order, not only that but he was already being blackmailed by one bastard best to avoid making it two bastards.
“More important than anyone will ever know… and all you need to do is find him, I’ll go see him and pay him personally, have the money I just need a location, after than I can put it behind me I just need some closure so I can get on with my life.” he knew that the deal for Slate to pay him back but he didn’t know if that meant in person or not with any sort of meeting what so ever, clearing his throat in hopes to get what he wanted out of the deal Bacchus raised the stakes, “Two Drinks, and A.A. if you can track him down and point me in the right direction…”
Bacchus licked his lips the way a lion does when the felt themselves coming in for the kill, the shark had eluded Bacchus for years and put his family in danger if he could sever his ties with the shark then he was a free to do as he pleased, freedom was at hand and if all went the way he wanted it to Slate would be the one to cut the shackles.
“Agreed,” Slate stated, simply. “Your Alcoholics Anonymous meetings will begin immediately. In six months, if you are indeed holding to your side of the contract, I will find this man for you, and give you his location.”
He did not expect the man in question to survive the encounter; six months of relative sobriety from the giant shifter, however... might be worth the price of one of his usual murders.
“I will take care of any interest accumulated by that delay, of course.” It was a necessary delay: he had minimal hope that Bacchus would continue to hold his end of their deal after the man was dealt with, after all. The man... simply was not that honorable.

Disbelief filled Bacchus’s face for a brief moment as he was surprised that Slate had agreed so easily to the terms he had just stated… was it really that easy? Or was he tricked? Bacchus sighed and then determined it didn’t matter he would have his vengeance, no one looks through a scope at one of his friends no one, it was as good as signing a suicide note, the only reason the Sharks had lasted this long was because he was hiding like the cockroach he was. In the end he would find his way under a large newspaper… Bacchus chuckled as the thought entered his mind, maybe he should just swat him with a giant newspaper?
The thought satisfied Bacchus as he turned his attention back to the meeting, it was at an end and he had responded to everything his boss had asked him, though it would seem not to his approval, work harder and get paid, that was what he was going to have to do, and that was what he planned on doing, mainly by finding out more about the Order. Maybe Isabel could set up a meeting with the headcheese or possibly tell him more about their workings…
“Sounds like a plan boss man…” Bacchus said as he stood up, the chair looking more disfigured and bent out a shape than it did before gave a small groan as Bacchus extended his hand towards Slate, it was mercenary and hired help’s code to shake the hand once a business transaction ended. That’s what this meeting was after all just business. “If that’s all you need I’ll take my leave…” at that point Bacchus made his way to the door his large figure shrinking down to his normal height as he had to duck his head slightly to leave the room.
