The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Mettaliar kept walking down that road; his mind was preoccupied with various thoughts. Well, not so various. It mostly was on one topic. However, the thoughts were scattered all over. Various pondering philosophical questions mixed with hard memories of himself and others. He couldn't understand any meaning to it all. It was crazy to think of how anything could be done to this magnitude. He had a goal in mind this time walking, and he was determined to find the one place that had plagued his mind for a whole year and a half. One place that had gotten him to feel how he felt today.
King Pharmaceuticals. Haywire.
Those two names have destroyed his sanity but brightened his vision on the mutant world. Before than, he considered whether the Order or any other group would be a better place for him. Since than, there has been no doubt where his future laid. The thing that haunted him was how the Order was growing. New members were joining both sides, but why the Order? Do some people just have a knack for radical terrorism? Or were they just oblivious. He hoped he could meet a new recruit and find out what. He hoped.
After a lengthy search on the net at a library near the apartment, considering he hadnt bought a computer or internet for the apartment yet, Bear found something interesting. King Pharmaceuticals, he remembered that name from the night he met Calley and decided it would be a good idea to check it out for himself, maybe learn something about anything from a worker or anything really. Bear knew he just wanted to learn something about the place so he quickly left the Library on a trek to KP. He couldnt help but keep the thoughts of the experiments and such that The Order had done, on MUTANTS in this place, out of his head. He needed to know more about the things he was told by Calley so he could tell Aris more about it himself. There was so much information to be had as long as you knew where to look to get it and how to ask the right questions.
After a lengthy legging to the street address the Internet gave him, Bear stopped and looked up at the building in front of him before looking to a glass door in front of him, seeing "King Pharmaceuticals" written on the door itself. Bear knew that he had to get in there so he walked up the steps and reached for the door and gave it a tug, the door opened, wait, it was open, OH! It's a publicly known place, of course it's open. Bear beat himself up in his head a bit before opening the door a bit more and stepping inside, once inside he walks up to the receptionist at the desk with a smile. "Hey there, is this King Pharmaceuticals?"
"Uh... Isnt that what it says on the outside?" The receptionist snipped back snidely.
"Heh... I guess it does... So... Who do I see about maybe getting a tour or some information?" This question lead to a series of other questions and responses which in turn lead to Bear getting rather upset with the receptionist and the people she called out to 'answer' his questions. A bit longer and a sort of fight broke out inside which ended up having Bear thrown out of the building by two rather large men.
"You stupid pricks!" Bear forced himself to his feet, not wanting to start another brawl like the one outside a few years back. "I'm going to find out something somehow! You just wait and see!" Dusting himself off, Bear turned to leave the area before bumping into.....

Mettaliar walked along the road more until finally ending up at the large buildings with the name that he considered more sinister than Hell plastered all over it. He wouldn't even want to go inside at all. To hell if it was open. He knew if he went in he'd be intrigued to keep searching to find the old labs at any cost, and he was positive it was closed off from the public. It should be. That place holds nothing but torture and pain, everything else is irrelevant. Everything else. He just wanted to find the place to see what it looked like from the outside up close. It was something that he never got to look at with his time there. He simply saw it from the inside of a cell. With Kaz and Syn watching over you as you go insane from that girl. That poor, innocent girl.
Haywire.
As he turned to leave he saw a man shout from the door inside the place. He screamed and swore with all of his breath. He looked for answers but found none in there. Of course not. No worker would ever tell of what went on in that place. All the world knows is that a fight broke out. A fight, one measily little fight. Hell if the news broke out of the horrors that happened in there, it would be chaos all over again. As the man approached closer to him, he was too entrenched in thought to notice that them man was coming towards him. That is, until they bumped into each other. Instinctively, he shouted apologies to him.
Already kind of off his balance, after slamming into the young man, Bear tumbles down to the ground and lands on his butt, looking up at the culprit.
>>"Oh, I'm so sorry! I didn't notice you coming."
"Yeah yeah..." Bear growls lightly to himself, this being the second time he ended up on the ground, too bad he couldnt get stronger from his ego being hurt. Bear plants his hands on the ground and forces himself up to a stand before looking at the young man with a sigh. "Watch where you're going next time alright?" He dusts himself off yet again and looks back at King Pharmaceuticals. "Bastards... Can you believe they wont even TALK to someone and give em straight answers?" He growls lightly looking at the man and almost feeling bad for having been so rude.
"Hey... Sorry bout the whole bumping into you thing..." Bear let out a little sigh before extending his hand. "Name's Bear... Yours is?" With a light smile and no further thought into the young man standing in front of him, Bear was simply trying to be polite now.

Mettaliar accepted the ranting of the new man, who had introduced himself as Bear. Interesting name. He's either a Native American or some kind of mutant. He shrugged off the idea and continued to listen as he complained about the apparent service he received in King Pharmaceuticals. He sighed, simply this individual was ignorant. He has no idea. No one did. Maybe it was better that way. It was mostly the whole "...straight answers," part that got him to consider telling him a little about how his service could never be compared to the service Mettaliar received. He turned to the man, fixing his hair over his eye first.
"Mettaliar. Pleasure to meet you." He sighed and glanced back at the building. "Yeah, they aren't very inclined to give straight answers in that place. What with it's history and all." Mettaliar put his hands in his pocket and relaxed, looking back at Bear. "This place has too many secrets to give away to the public. Doing so would be business suicide. Hell, come to think of it, half of the workers, maybe even more, don't even know all of the skeletons that lay in that buildings closet. It's too much for any worker there to handle, let alone anyone outside of the place." He stopped talking ad caught his breath. Maybe he had said too much, but it didn't matter. It was better discussing the matter with someone rather than ponder it alone in your mind.
Bear looked back to the building and let out a sigh before smiling at the man. "Nice to meet you Mettaliar..." Bear didnt really know what to think about this young man... All he knew was he bumped into him and his name was Mettaliar and he was concerned with the way his hair looked.
>>"Yeah, they aren't very inclined to give straight answers in that place. What with it's history and all. This place has too many secrets to give away to the public. Doing so would be business suicide. Hell, come to think of it, half of the workers, maybe even more, don't even know all of the skeletons that lay in that buildings closet. It's too much for any worker there to handle, let alone anyone outside of the place."
With this, Bears eyes lit up like a kid in a candy store, he couldnt believe he just met someone that knows about what happened in KP. Or at least.... Seems like he knows something, there had to be a way to get him to spill it, so maybe... A question might help? "What do you mean? What happened in there? I've heard some stories... But I want more information... What is this place, or rather... What was this place? Please, I need to know..." Bear placed his hands on the shoulders of the man, begging him to tell him something, after a moment Bear realized he was invading the mans personal space without permission and quickly yanked his hands back to himself.
"Please... I'm thinking about... Going to the Sanctuary... And I wanna know more about their inner workings..." Bear took a couple steps back. "But I dont think we should talk about this stuff right outside King Pharmaceuticals... I bet they have cameras or something... Cmon..." Bear turned and began walking away from King Pharmaceuticals, hoping the young man was following him, almost heeding his advice in a sense. His mind was racing with thoughts and possibilities, this young man could confirm or deny everything Calley told him and he could, in turn, bring that information to Aris. Even if what he thinks is true, in Bears heart and mind, he knows he's probably still going to try and get in with The Order, working from within was always better than beating your fists on the doors.

Mettaliar sighed as the man placed his hand his shoulder and practically begged for answers. This man was serious about getting to the bottom of this place and what secrets it held. Strange. Why would a man be so inclined to learn about events that happened almost two years ago? Was he trying to unlock any connections, or was he trying to get answers for something? Mettaliar didn't know until the man spilled that he had plans with The Order. Syn... Kaz... all of them. Why does this man want to associate with people like them? His curiosity was answered when the man invited to walk and talk with him about everything. Maybe I can change his mind.
He began to follow Bear and placed his hands in his pockets. He made a knife inside and held it. He didn't trust him. Not anymore. "So before I tell you anything that would interest you, I'm curious; why are you interested in the Order? What of their business convinces you to go to them?" He wanted to know. He needed to know. The reasoning behind joining them was still a mystery to him, and so getting answers from a true aspiring member should be the best logical solution. "Please, answer me these questions, and than I'll tell you whatever you need to know about King Pharmaceuticals."
Bear smiled realizing the man was following him before his smile turned into a bit of a frown as the question came. "Why are you interested in The Order?" Bear let out a light sigh, not wanting to admit his being a mutant right away but realizing he made a slip up by mentioning wanting to join The Order. He glanced over at the man before turning back forward as they continued walking.
"Well... I want to join The Order for many reasons... One of which being my best friend of more than 10 years joined the Order. She doesnt know about their inner workings and doesnt know about the things that they do... I was told a few things, namely about King Pharmaceuticals back there..." Bear sent a nod over his shoulder obviously towards KP to further his point. "I've heard about experiments on humans and mutants and I want to know if they were real... If that stuff really happened." Bear sighed lightly, thinking about Meld and how little she knew of the issue as well as how little he knew of the issue.
"I also want to join The Order because, despite what they may have done, they want Mutant Rights... And so do I... They also are going about it the only way that could really have an impact and that's by taking action... At least... They were... The people at The Mansion dont do stuff like that... They have bake sales and promote mutant and human peace and happiness through... Doing nothing?" Bear thought back to the people greeting him with platters of cookies and the pitcher of Kool-Aid in the corner somewhere, laughing lightly and shrugging to himself. He couldnt help but think of them as cultists, they were too... Happy and peaceful, it just didnt make sense.
"And if you cant tell by now, I'm wanting to join The Order because I'm a mutant myself and I want to be able to walk down the street, proudly being a mutant." Heh proudly being a mutant indeed... He just wanted to walk down the street being a mutant and not having to worry if anybody found out. "And I dont want to get spit on or hissed at or insulted because I am... The Mansion wont get me that... The Order will, it's simple as that... Take Action because it's being taken against you. People hate us and we do nothing... But The Order does..."

Mettaliar nearly stopped in his tracks as Bear mentioned the experiments. Who the Hell told him? His mind went blank. None of the people who were there were around anymore. He hadn't seen Iris for sometime, and the rest have all gone and done their own thing. So who told Bear about it? He couldn't think much longer as Bear continued his rant about the Order and specifically their way of doing business. He mocked the X-Men's tactics and claimed that they Order were progressive for mutant rights. Mettaliar could spit in his face at that second. He was disgusted at how such a mutant could be so blind. Enough was enough. He couldn't let this foolishness continue.
"Oh yeah, The Order does something alright: instigate hatred." He stared coldly into the distance and continued, "The Order are nothing more than mutants who fight for something that cannot be taken by force. 99% of the problems people have with our kind are because of people like them. Radicalism does nothing but create problems. The X-Men at least try to fight the non-mutants at their own game, politics. They defend people AND mutants to show how we're not different. No, the X-Men do things alright, make sure the Order doesn't cause another registration camp scenario from happening! The Order is the most regressive group in the mutant world and it sickens me how people believe their actions will bring anything but chaos!" Mettaliar stopped for a second to calm down. He was practically shouting at that point and did not want to instigate a fight.
Instead he focused more on the other question at hand. "Either way, you told me what I needed to know, now I have to hold up my end of the bargain. You asked if there were any experiments on humans and/or mutants there. Yes, as a matter of fact their were. About two years ago several mutants were kidnapped and held in King Pharmaceuticals. To continue with this story, there are other question that I need to know if you know. My first one is have you ever heard of 'Haywire?' And my second one is who told you all of this information?" He raised his one eyebrow and looked at Bear. He needed to know if he needed to explain Haywire, and he needed to know who else knew about the experiments.
Bear stopped in his tracks when the young man started yelling practically, he blamed The Order for everything that had been done, how could he place the blame on The Order, they actually DO something, the X's dont do anything. Bear continued listening to the man talk and his blood boiled a bit but he held his tongue, not knowing who this guy was or what he could do. Then more questions came after the revelation of experiments going on inside that place. "No I dont know what Haywire is... What is it? And as for my source of information... Uhm... I cant give his name but... He says he was there for all of this, he saw the things happening... I dont think he was experimented on though... So... What kind of experiments did they do? And what's this 'Haywire'? Is it some kind of machine or something or like a computer virus? I dont understand, why is that term relevant to the topic?"
Bear went back to the situation in his head, not really understanding what Haywire was and not even giving it a second thought that it could be a person. His mind raced with ideas, trying to come up with something, also trying to figure out why this guy knew so much and why he hated The Order so much. Then it hit him, his face lit up like a light bulb and he grinned lightly, realizing why he hated The Order so much, it all made sense. This young man was one of The Experiments, either that or he was one of the ones doing the experiments, either way he was happy he didnt give out his informants name. Now that 1 plus 1 equaled 2 in Bear's head, he could hopefully keep up with the conversation a bit better. Especially now that he had realized this young man would be very biased in his opinion of the Experiments and of The Order itself. Bear had to make sure to keep a clear head through all of it, just wanting the information, not wanting his opinion swayed.
He knew the only way to make any change in The Order, to get them to do things for the right reasons and to simply just stop massacring humans left and right, he'd have to get inside and work things from inside. He wouldnt be a mole delivering information to the people at the Mansion, but he'd be informed, he'd know what he was dealing with and who he was dealing with and he'd know how to handle situations better. Only if he gets inside and sees everything for his own eyes, information is key to winning a war, the more information you have, the better opportunity you have to do something productive. Blackmail the right people, threaten the people that can be threatened, kill the people that needed to be killed and out the people that could be outed and everything would fall into place. This tactic would work in getting things done in the order and getting things done to gain mutant rights, and eventually mutant supremacy.

"Haywire is a mutant, like you and I. Her name is Jack, though she's named Haywire due to her power. Her mutation is that she affects the people she's around. For humans, it's illness. Deathly ill from what I've heard. For mutants, it affects their powers. A mutant who controls lightning might lose control and begin to shoot bolts everywhere. Someone who might turn into a beast may change into an even stronger form of themselves. You get the idea. Well, the experiments were just that. The subjects were locked in cages and were exposed to Haywire. Your precious Order watched as the group of kids were helplessly freaking out. Dragons formed, metal shards flew everywhere, ice filled the place. It was chaos. All to see who would eventually have the strongest power. The experiments didn't end at King Pharmaceuticals. They just started."
Mettaliar sighed and looked up at him. "I guess you can tell how I knew this. The experiments were private, so only those who watched or were being tested knew what was going on. You also see why I don't trust the Order. For a group that "fights" for mutant rights, they sure do a good job of treating their fellow mutant well. The X-Men may not be as active, but activity is nothing if the cause is for destruction instead of peace."
"I cant condone The Order doing those experiments Mettaliar... But I also can't condone the way Mutants are treated... This whole situation is a lot to think about and a lot to handle really... I dont understand why they would experiment on their own kind... But I guess there's no telling really... Maybe the people in charge were the kind of people that you wouldnt want to even sit next to on the bus for fear of being stabbed by them." Bear sighed lightly, knowing the whole conversation was probably upsetting him but he needed to know more.
Then, the answer came, he was an experiment, that must not have been fun for him, them trying to find out how much his body could take and how strong his mutation could get. That couldn't have been fun, but at the same time, things were clicking in his brain telling him that it might not have been that bad to find out at the same time. "What else happened Mettaliar... You said it just started at King Pharmaceuticals, what do you know?" Bear was far too curious for his own good.
"And you say activity is nothing is the cause is for destruction instead of peace, how could you say The Order is fighting for destruction? War usually ends in peace, history shows us this, all great periods of peace tend to follow a horrendous war. And the cycle will continue now as it has in the past, people dont learn, so... Force and Action need to be taken. The goal isnt destruction for The Order, it is, inevitably, peace... Be it just for mutants or for mutants and humans, who really knows... All I know is I'm going to fight for that peace, not have a bake sale and hope it comes around at some point."

Mettaliar tried to block out the last part of Bear's speech but couldn't. Why was he so sure that the X-Men did nothing? What has he known? He eventually would find out. First, Mettaliar had to gather his thoughts. If he went a screaming tirade again, nothing would get done. Simply Bear would dismiss it and focus on nothing. That's probably all he wanted. Just information. It saddened Mettaliar to think of that, but it was probably the truth. And he accepted it as such.
"After the testing, some were released, some were kept for further testing. I was one that was released. A friend of mine... well... let's say your friends in that Sanctuary decided to have some more fun with her before they let her go. In face they had so much fun as to give her to final test. They injected a syrum that mimic'd the effects of Haywire. Than she was sent back home... to the Mansion." Mettaliar sighed, holding back emotion. "There she acted as if Haywire were tied to her back. I was one that was there to contain her. To this day I still remember the carnage that took place when she arrived. Sad, sad thing to see such a nice young girl turned into an H-Bomb of a mutant." Mettaliar took a sigh and then continued.
"And that's why I believe The Order works towards destruction. Their actions back then were unnecessary and cruel, and their actions now are even worse. In the early stages it was understandable what they tried to do. But now all the Order members have turned into cold-blooded murderers equally as hurtful to the mutant cause than those politicians that sign that registration camp bill into law. The X-Men don't have bake sales. They simply try to save human and mutant alike. If that is so bad, than really none of us deserve to live. Hell I'd be fine with Armageddon if THAT kind of thinking is our future."
Bear sighs, thinking about all of the horrible things done by The Order, but he knew there was something different about The Order now and The Order then, after all, the internet did say it was 2 years ago almost. And everyone knows things and people and organizations can change a great deal in such a time. But things could also not change at all in such a short amount of time, however Bear had hoped it was the former and not the latter. "That's not right... Injecting that girl with some serum... Then setting her loose... But how do you KNOW that the Order now is the same Order from back then... I mean, you yourself said it was 2 years ago..." Bear let a light sigh escape again as he continued to listen to the man ramble on about how The Order works towards destruction.
"Why are there actions now worse than their actions then? And what makes any thing the people at The Mansion do, any better than the things the people at The Order do. I mean, I dont know about you but good and bad is subjective to whatever the person coming up with the definition depicts good and bad are to them. I think that the Order is good, they're working for Mutant rights.. They may be doing it through violence but at least they're doing something...."
"And why do you support that Mansion so strongly? Especially without telling me what they've done for mutant rights... I havent heard anything about that... I can almost gaurantee that anything those people do will be counteracted by the Humans. The Mansionittes could do good deeds and protect people until they're blue in the face but that doesnt mean that they're going to be respected or earn mutant rights. You're right, the bad name Mutants have are from people like the ones in The Order, but The Order also has good members with amazing intentions... And you're shunning them too simply because they joined The Order?"

Mettaliar listened to him ramble about The Order and it's pattern through time. He understood quite well that The Order was changing, yet to Mettaliar it was changing for the worst. The old members of the Order may as well be good hearted, yet that didn't matter when their new recruits were turning the organization into a killing clan rather than a movement. Hell, he could BARELY tell if the murders that had been taking place held any sort of merit to the movement or just for the fact that they were simply humans. The new members, from what he experienced, were just as set to kill off humanity as humanity was to kill off them. This is why he lost any sort of respect, combined with his incidents with them as well.
"The Order may very well have been a group that wanted nothing more than a forceful takeover of the system to protect mutants. Understandable, like I said. But from what I experienced with newer members outside of the King Pharmaceuticals, the group is heading downhill. The group now-a-days wants nothing more than to just kill off humanity. I've witnessed multiple incidents where assassination is committed in broad daylight for no other reason than it was simply a human. The Order of now is not like The Order of years past; this Order has no goal. They just do it for the blood and battle. I wouldn't even be surprised if some members didn't care what happened to mutant rights. As long as they have a mission to kill some man in the streets, they're happy."
Mettaliar sighed and decided it would be impossible to change his mind. "Look, go to the Sanctuary if you want. Maybe one day we'll meet on the battlefield as enemies instead of fellow mutants. Just, please. For the sake of mutants everywhere. Restore some sort of pride back in The Order. Don't be some ruthless killer who just wants to see non-mutant blood on their hands. Do it for the cause. Maybe than, I'll respect your decision a bit more." Mettaliar could throw up for saying that, but it was the only way to get his point across. He hated The Order and would love it to be changed or destroyed. If this is the man to do it, at least he can give some motivation.
