The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

André had seen his share of large gates before, but he'd never seen seen one as big as the one to the entrance to the mansion, or at least, not close up. As he approached Xavier's Institute for Gifted Youngsters in the backseat of a taxi cab, he grabbed large backpack beside him, filled with his belongings. He never owned much in his life to begin with, so it was of moderate weight.
"This is your stop, and don't forget you bag." said the taxi driver. André refitted his backpack onto his back, reached into his pocket, and pulled out several bills. "Here, keep whatever change is left over." said Reactor as he eased himself out of the cab. As the taxi drove off, Reactor readjusted the strap on his right shoulder and walked up to the mansion's gates.
"So how do you open this thing? Is there a bell or something?" he thought as his eyes glanced around the gate. A moment later, Reactor noticed an intercom system, and pressed the button next to the speaker. "Um, hello? Is anybody there?" Reactor took his backpack off and leaned against the gate, waiting to see if he'd get a response.

It had been a while since Sam played greeter and he was beginning to think that either Streak and Raina were snagging all of the new residents or the popularity of the mansion had begin to decrease, which made sense seeing the order attacked in full force not to long ago.
"Um, hello? Is anybody there?"
Walking past the intercom down to his office Sam smiled and said, “Hold on a second be right out.” Sam buzzed the gate which would trigger it to sound and unlock. Pulling away from the intercom system Sam laughed and thought that it was a bit weird that a resident or some one would show the second he thought of one.
Sam made his way to meet whoever was at the main gates. Treading on the drive way Sam walked at a steady pace waving to the person who he was sure now was a man. “hey there!” Sam said as he got closer to the man as he extended his hand for a shake, “My name is Sam what can I do for you?”
Somewhat startled by the sudden response, André immediately lifted his backpack, pulling one of the straps around his right shoulder as he wathced a figure approaching the gate entrance.
“hey there!”
André did a quick nod and seeing the man extend his hand, shook the other man's hand. At first, he expected to see several people with abnormal abilities on the grounds, but the absence of all but one normal-looking man made him feel unsure that was the place he thought it was.
“My name is Sam what can I do for you?”
André quietly cleared his throat. “Oh, uh, nice to meet you. My name's André, André Santiago. I uh, heard that this is a place that can help... certain people learn to control their special gifts.”

“Andre Santiago, nice to meet you and yes, this is the place for the gifted.” Sam then looked at the grounds and then said, “Holiday’s and classes are going on so there aren’t to many kids here now but you’ll notice when they are around.”
Smiling Sam waved him on to follow Sam to the mansion. Once inside Sam said, “So you looking to live here, or just help with your abilities cause you can do both here.” Looking down at the resident form Sam said, “Paper work, I hate it but part of my job if your interested in staying here.”
Picking up the paper work Sam smiled and said, “But there are some portions that need to be filled out, like name and a brief description of your mutation…” Sam smiled and waited for his answers.
“But there are some portions that need to be filled out, like name and a brief description of your mutation…”
Andre exhaled subtly and whispered, “Siempre tiene que ser un obstáculo...”
Andre took the form papers, took his backpack off, and sat in a nearby chair with a side table, leaving his bag next to it.
“Look, um... I'm not really sure what my mutation is - exactly I mean. You know, if I had to guess I'd say heat blast or something, but I don't know exactly. Will this be a problem?”

“Look, um... I'm not really sure what my mutation is - exactly I mean. You know, if I had to guess I'd say heat blast or something, but I don't know exactly. Will this be a problem?”
Sam looked at the guy for a second and said, “Well that’s not really descriptive, but I guess that’s why you are here correct?” Sam had a hunch that this was the reason he was here after all he did mention earlier that he wanted help controlling hi gifts. “But there isn’t much we can do if your not sure your self so I guess we will just have to test your powers out and see won’t we?” asked Sam as he smiled at Andre.
“The mansion has a underground training facility called the Danger Room and if you want we have a few high tech scanners down there so once we get you settle I can grab a few of the tech guys and toss them down there with you.” Looking at him curiously Sam asked “what do you think? You interested?”

Andre looked back at Sam, staring almost in disbelief. To him at least, a place that was called 'Danger Room' didn't leave the ideal impression of a training facility. Not a safe one anyways.
“Well, I guess learning what my mutation is in the first place would be the best first step to take in learning to control it.” said Andre, getting up from the chair he was seated in, “It sounds like a good idea to me. So, where is this Danger Room?”
Down a corridor Mir's slightly acute hearing forced her to over her many conversations. This in turn allowed her to hear a new prospective student talking with what sounded like a staff member.Restlessness was an understatement she had been in this place fora few days but she had uncovered nothing new of her powers and so when she heard the new arrival speaking with a teacher, she found her self compelled to force her frustration on them. Her tail swaying from left to right as she walked closer and close, she just had to say some after hearing about what he knew of his powers.
"Hmm...so you do not yet know what your curse is...if you ask me it wound be best to just ignore it if it can be helped and just act like you not of the damned...the more you know the more you can be judged," she said pulling her shirt down a bit she had to do this often for her short were just a bit to short in her mind. Sadly though she did not have to many choice she could not cut a hole for her tail in all her clothes she did not have a tail every day. Stopping a few feet from them she leaned to her body up against the wall still facing them. Being this close she was bombarded with their few scents but like always she would keep what she smelt to her self she had learned it was strange for her to sniff things very quickly.

Noting the look on Andre’s face Sam let out a loud laugh and clapped Andre on the back, “Don’t let the name fool you, it’s actually one of the safest places in the mansion,” frowning slightly Sam began to search for words to best describe the Danger Room, “think of it as a virtual reality game, either me or one of the other’s in charge would create a simulation for you, the only thing that you would have to do would be to figure out how to activate your powers and from there,” Sam snapped his fingers, ”it’s a piece of cake!”
“Well, I guess learning what my mutation is in the first place would be the best first step to take in learning to control it.” “It sounds like a good idea to me. So, where is this Danger Room?”
Smiling at Andre’s response Sam said, “Okay, hold on a second so I can get the tech guy here.” Pulling out his phone and dialing Streak’s number Sam waited a moment then said into his phone, “Streak when you get a chance can you meet me at the entrance? Got a favor I need from you.” Sam then hung up his hone and put it in his pocket.
"Hmm...so you do not yet know what your curse is...if you ask me it wound be best to just ignore it if it can be helped and just act like you not of the damned...the more you know the more you can be judged,"
Sam turned his head as he looked back up and frowned slightly at the new girl that seemed to be somewhat upset. Trying to remember all the new students and resident Sam was drawing a blank, “Umm…” Sam said trying not to offend the girl, “Our gifts,” said Sam still trying to bite back the disappointment in his voice, “are only a curse if we allow them to be that.”
Lifting his hand and forming ice around his fingers Sam looked back to the girl and said, “it is never wise to ignore the gifts we are given, over time those gifts could very well become a curse!” shaken his hand the ice vanished and then Sam looked to Andre and said, “Andre this is…” looking back to the girl Sam stuck out his hand and said, ”I’m sorry what was your name?”

Streak was relaxing in his new rec room that him and Sam had built when his phone rang. "This had better be good." He said to himself before picking up the phone. It was Sam. "What's up Sam?" Shawn asked as once he answered the phone."I'll be right there." Streak responded and walked out of the room. Their office was just as spacious as the hidden room behind it, but he walked through there and into the hallway immediately heading towards the front door.
He heard introductions being made, so he decided to pipe up when Sam didn't know the name of the woman in front of him. At first he thought it was Emerald, but once he got closer and heard what she was saying he could tell that it was definitely not Emerald. It was Miracle, the woman he'd met and fought a few nights ago on the mansion grounds. "That's Miracle and I'm Streak." He said once he was close enough the little group. "What's up Sam. Whadda ya need?" Streak asked him when he stood next to the werewolf.
"Hmm...so you do not yet know what your curse is...if you ask me it wound be best to just ignore it if it can be helped and just act like you not of the damned...the more you know the more you can be judged,"
Andre turned his head slightly sideways, looking beyond Sam to see a tailed girl behind him. It was no mystery that some mutants hated their abilities, but Andre's powers had saved his life more than once, and he'd never consider them to be a curse.
Before Andre could speak his mind, he felt a familiar sensation, and glanced down. His hands were glowing; he was starting to lose control again. Andre clenched his fists tightly, taking a sharp, deep breath to calm himself down.
“Our gifts are only a curse if we allow them to be that. It is never wise to ignore the gifts we are given, over time those gifts could very well become a curse!”
Andre rose his head while he listened to Sam's response, but what caught his attention even more was that ice was forming around his fingers, and then dissipated with a shake. ‘Cryokinesis’ was the thought that immediately entered Andre's mind.
As Sam was introducing himself, Andre noticed the voice of another person as he approached and stood next to the girl.
“That's Miracle and I'm Streak. What's up Sam. Whadda ya need?”
Not truly upset she could never safely be up set Mir looked to Sam as he described his take on their birth rights. she did not agree which was obviously apparent and so prepared to again speak about the curse until The silver man began to approach his sent was unmistakable it caused her to pause for a second until he introduced her. Stepping away from the wall she walked forward a bit close to Sam. She had much to throw his way he seemed quite sure of his gift it was so easy to conceal she thought to herself. Mutants with easy to hide or control powers made her a bit uneasy and very conscious about the nature of her powers
"Well excuse me...if I think having to avoid doing anything that could produce any type of..." she said before her ear flinched a bit the newbie had begun to breath funny and so her attention shifted to him focusing her florescent amber eyes to him as she prepared to speak to him. He was new which made him interesting for a time.
"Are you okay there notice you seemed a bit excited there for a sec...would that be a sign of control issues are your hands on the reigns of the beast or is it the other way around i wonder?" she asked taking another step forward it was always interesting to see another one in the struggle besides her it reminded her that the curse was not just hers but it was inherited by many. Quickly as she she spoke her tail lifted from its relaxed and still position, to a higher energy wag. Most of the time she could by force of will keep it still and down to where it dragged the ground slightly. Sadly this time she lost track of her instincts and simple forgot to keep it in check and down to the ground it was a pain to have her emotions visible displayed to the world with this nice lil tail .
"Are you okay there notice you seemed a bit excited there for a sec...would that be a sign of control issues are your hands on the reigns of the beast or is it the other way around i wonder?"
‘‘Isn't that the reason why most mutants come here, to places like this, mujer loba? Isn't it always control issues, or to find a place to be accepted?’’
Andre glanced at Miracle's unusual features, but her tail drew most of his attention. It wagged like a hyper dog's would, but Andre had seen mutants with unusual features before. Still he couldn't help but feel perplexed at seeing a human with obvious animal features.

"What's up Sam. Whadda ya need?"
Sam looked to Streak and said, “Streak meet Andre, he is a new mutant here that doesn't know his abilities, and seeing as your one of the tech guys, I figured I’d toss you two into the danger room so we could figure out what his powers actually are.”
‘‘Isn't that the reason why most mutants come here, to places like this, mujer loba? Isn't it always control issues, or to find a place to be accepted?’’
Sam looked at Andre, “Generally yes, that's why the school’s such as this are such a big hit.” Frowning as he looked at his ringing phone Sam said, “Sorry to do this Streak but… I got to go…” Sam looked over to Andre and said, it was nice meeting you but I have to go…”
And with that Sam left Streak to Andre and miracle.
Andre made a quick, nod of acknowledgment as Sam walked out.
“Nos vemos, Sam."
As Sam walked away, Andre redirected his attention to Streak, the one who, apparently, was going to help him discover the nature of his mutation. Andre felt particularly tense and excited, and didn't bother trying to hide it either, about learning about his powers, and seeing the 'Danger Room' he kept hearing about. Andre started to rub his hands together, an old habit he often displayed when he felt in expectation.
“So... Streak...” , said Andre, putting emphasis, albeit in a slightly humorous manner, on Streak's name, “Do I get to see this 'Danger Room' now?”
