The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Having many credible sources was a valuable resource in Australia. Syn heard of how the mutants had risen up and were fighting back the humans. It was a battle they were currently winning with few areas of resistence. The perfect time and place to establish a foothold for the Order.
Flying in her own jet Syn brought along Velocity and Whisper as well as having asked Isabel to join her. She knew how much her old friend loved to join in the blood spilling. Not only was Isabel a formidable warrior but she had a great reputation as well. She was well known in the mutant community that shared the same vision as the Order.
The flight was long but once on the ground the jet taxied to a heavily guarded hangar. Several cars and SUV's sat waiting with a good size number of people armed to the teeth. The door of the jet was lowered and the first two out of the plane were Velocity and Whisper.
A somewhat ragged but strong looking man stepped forward with his hands up in a calming gesture. He showed the twin girls that he wasn't a threat and introduced himself. His name was Jack Riley and he was the mutant in charge of this ellaborate greeting.
It hadn't taken much in the ways of persuasion to get Isabel to agree to taking a little trip to Australia. She'd heard it through the grape vine that the mutants down under were staging a revolt against the humans and all hell was breaking loose. Things hadn't changed too awfully much in New York City over the years, and a change of atmosphere and intensity sounded quite nice to the ribboned girl. Besides, a good helping of destruction and human bloodshed always sounded appetizing. The only thing she wasn't too thrilled about was having Whisper and Velocity tag along with her and Syn. It was rare not to see the Dark Girl towing the other two around, but something about the bodyguards just gave Isabel the chills, particularly the one that never spoke. She'd grown used to having them around, but being stuck on Syn's private jet with them for a few hours was a little more than unnerving. It was easy enough to keep to one's self while on the jet, but at the same time interaction was inevitable in a closed space. It was somewhat uncomfortable, but the promise of violence made it worth enduring.
Once the jet had finally landed, Isabel stepped lightly out onto the ramp after Syn and the twins, moving as easily as always as they progressed to the ground. Cautiously she watched the unknown man approach. He made it a point to show that he wasn't any kind of threat to the small group, but the surrounding armed vehicles and individuals sent another message. She didn't much care for such a close feeling, especially since she didn't know these people, and therefore didn't trust them or their greeter's feeble attempt to send comforting signals. All she really did know about this group was that they were mutants, but it wasn't anything new for humans or mutants to turn on their own in uneasy situations. Slowly a layer of armor was forming beneath her skin, a comforting ripple of spikes making its way down one arm, though the weapons melted away into the forming armor without breaking through her skin. "What a lovely little greeting you've set up for us, Mister Riley," she commented, coming to stand just a short distance from the twins and the one they guarded, letting her gaze wander over the other individuals and their weaponry once more. "But is all this really necessary?"
I’m just a well-adjusted gal who likes to leave a serious amount of mayhem in her wake.
Jack smiled to Isabel. "Well, we're still not totally in control so this is all just in case the humans tried to do anything. Yourself and Miss Syn there are pretty well known especially amongst mutants." Finishing his statement Jack gestured for them all to get into the vehicles.
The twins got into one of the SUV's where as Syn and Isabel were motioned to get into an all black Lincoln Towncar. The inside of the vehicle was very well kept and luxurious. Jack also got in the same vehicle but sat in the front passenger seat. "So where are we going Mr. Riley?" asked Syn. "We're heading to our current headquarters building. There's someone there who I think you ladies might know."
Isabel returned her own smile to Jack, though hers was probably far less sincere. She knew well enough that both humans and mutants played dirty when something like supremacy of a species was involved, however she was also sure that this Mister Riley was aware of just how durable she was. She didn't feel the need to have all of this 'protection' trailing after her. She was protection enough for herself, and paired up with the Twins, she was also protection enough for Syn, though that's not to say that Syn couldn't hold her own in a dangerous situation. She also didn't miss the dual meaning of his saying that both she and Syn were well known in the mutant community. It was both a compliment and a warning. The two young women were both quite powerful and had a favorable reputation among the anti-human population, however that power and reputation also worked against them when it came to the other portion of the population. They were looked up to, but at the same time they were also targeted. Either way, it didn't particularly matter to Isabel. She liked the adoration that some showed, and she was indifferent to those foolish enough to think they could take her on. Let them come and play. She didn't mind.
It was somewhat of a relief to see the Twins climbing into a different car than Syn and herself. It eased a bit of the tension that was coiled up inside her. The two were still close enough to assist should their help be needed, but were also a good enough distance away that Isabel was able to relax a bit more for a short while. At the mention of meeting up with someone they may know, her mind started buzzing with curiosity, wondering who exactly it was that Jack Riley was speaking of. The only native Australian that she knew was Bacchus, though that didn't necessarily mean anything in this situation. There could be any number of her acquaintances here to assist with the war for dominance. Rather than pressing questions, since she'd meet this individual either way, she directed her attention out the window instead. If Syn and Mister Riley wished to discuss anything, she'd be able to hear it, though she'd never really been much interested in talk of planning and other related matters. It wasn't long before their temporary Headquarters came into sight, easily snatching up her attention. It certainly hadn't been anything she'd imagined, though it made her grin widely at the sight of it. "Welcome the the HQ, ladies. Now, if you'd be so kind as to follow me inside, we can get down to business," Jack Riley proposed as the vehicles stopped just outside the Sydney Opera House.
I’m just a well-adjusted gal who likes to leave a serious amount of mayhem in her wake.

Erica looked around the room as she sat in large love seat with a bottle of water in front of her sitting on a coffee table next to the documents she had receive the day before. She looked over to Gunner who seemed antsy; she knew he hated being in for one-place long periods of time even if he would never admit it. ‘He has grown so much…’ thought Erica as she took a sip of her water and smoothed out the creases in he skirt once more.
“Gunner why don’t you sit down?” she said with a calm voice, she knew that this wasn’t the type of mission Gunner would normally get but he ha been assigned to protect her. Erica sighed, she would have much rather had Bacchus as her body guard, he was after all… Erica’s face slightly blushed as she thought of Bacchus and shook her head she had to concentrate on the mission. It was ‘simple’ she was told but meeting the legend Syn? Erica tried to remain her cool as she looked to Gunner who seemed very calm about this situation.
Gunner looked out the window lifting the large silk curtains and examine the best exit if the base was attacked. ‘Why the hell am I the body guard?’ thought Gunner to himself as he looked around the rest of the room from one thing to the next. Gunner would have much rather had Bacchus be the body guard while he was doing something else for Jon. Sure speed was good for being a bodyguard but Bacchus had met Syn and from the stories Bacchus told he had worked with her on several occasions he apparently lived under the same roof as her, so why wasn’t Bacchus the one here?
Shaking his head slightly Gunner walked up to the loveseat where Erica was sitting and stood behind her waiting for the guests to arrive. Gunner looked at the back or Erica’s head as she was trying to get rid of the creases in her clothing. She defiantly looked like a greeter in the outfit she was wearing just as Gunner looked like a bodyguard with an earpiece and a suit.
A few knives were scattered throughout several hiding places on Gunner’s body, he of course didn’t want to use them but if the opera house was attacked he would have no choice, his number one mission was to protect Erica as Erica’s mission was to greet Syn and answer all of the questions she possibly could. Gunner looked over to all the damage reports and statistics and files that Jon had gathered for Syn and frowned slightly, ‘Would she really be this interested in all of this?’ wondered Gunner as his eyes shot over to the door and his hand shot up to his back to put a hand on his knife. Only to quickly release it once he saw Jack Riely’s face enter the room.
Erica stood up after a deep breath and gave a slight bow and said, “Welcome to Australia Miss Syn, I hope your flight was alright!” Smiling all the while. Erica didn’t extend her hand to her or the others that were with her, ‘Jon’s exact words were don’t offer your hand till she or her friends offer theirs we must not be rude to here’ Erica thought.

The location the mutants had chosen brought a smile to Syn's face. In her mind she had pictured some war torn warehouse or something. She never expected them to occupy the Sydney Opera House. Syn kept herself quiet for the moment as Jack led the group inside and to a pair of awaiting mutants.
As they entered the room Whisper stepped off casually to the left where she looked that area of the room over. Velocity did the same off the the right. Once they were satisfied they stood there and kept an eye on things. Syn stepped forward as the female welcomed the 'Dark Queen'. Syn could see the male of the pair seemed a little on edge. She wasn't worried though as she knew the twins were also watching. "Thank you for the welcome. Our flight..." Syn made a slight gesture to Isabel..."was fine. This is Isabel Duskmoor my second in command and my associates Whisper and Velocity. And you two would be?"

Gunner’s eyes shifted from one to another as the people started to enter the room. A slight feeling of your stomach dropping cam over him as he looked from one of the girls to the next. All were very pretty in Gunner’s eyes but from what Bacchus told him about American girls never judge a book by its cover.
Gunner eyes lasted on the one introduced by Isabel, ‘Bone manipulation’ thought Gunner a he tried to remember exactly what Bacchus could say about her. Most of the stuff was good maybe a little to good. Gunner hoped he didn’t go into detail with Erica about Isabel, if he did she might get to involved in this situation emotionally.
”Pleasure is all mine” said Erica as she motioned for all of them to sit down. Erica noticed the two girls in the battle suits and nodded slightly to Gunner, ”This is my body guard for now, his name is Gunner, and I am Erica.” She paused slightly then said, “Ares sends his regards but fears that he was to busy with a few upcoming missions that are of great importance.” She paused again and then said, “So in his place he has sent Gunner and I.”
Looking at the ‘Queen of darkness’ Erica’s smile slightly faded, “Even though he wanted to Bacchus couldn’t be here to greet you, he is on a mission at the moment and I fear I am not at the liberty to discuss that here without the permission of Ares.”
Erica looked over to Isabel and bowed again and said, “Bacchus has told me a lot about you…” Erica wanted to say more but didn’t she wanted to know what exactly happened between her and Bacchus. Even though it wasn’t any of her business she still had to know what happened between Isabel and ‘her’ Bacchus. Erica sighed and motioned for the seats for Syn Isabel and the other two to sit in, ‘guess that will be another topic for conversation another time…’ thought Erica as she asked, “Shall we get down to business or if you would rather we could find you some food or a place to rest?”
Isabel followed a comfortable distance behind Syn and the twin bodyguards as Jack Riley lead them through the Opera House and into the room that was apparently their intended destination where they would be discussing whatever it was they wanted from her and Syn. She knew they were there to assist with the problems the humans were dredging up in order to try and beat the mutants for supremacy, but that was about it. She had always had a rather bad habit of letting her thoughts wander in any sort of meeting. They were just so stuffy and boring. Talk of plans never had held her attention for too very long. She was too much used to just jumping in and playing it by ear. Plans wasted time and often enough they put restrictions on her movements and had orders issued that she was supposed to follow. She'd never been so very good at that either. Sure, she'd do what she was told to do, but she would also have her own fun on the way. She trusted Syn enough to believe she was allowed to do as she wished without repercussions, just so long as the objective was reached. She had been spared the details of the situation by the dark girl, the promise of bloodshed being the only hook she'd needed to reel in the ribboned mutant. Now it seemed as if those details would be given to her anyway, and by strangers no less. This didn't look like it's be a whole lot of fun. She'd so much rather be outside with the fighters. However, Syn had chosen her to come along, so she would stick with the Dark Girl for as long as she was required to do so.
As they entered the room, Isabel let her gaze briefly shift between Whisper and Velocity as they made no subtle attempts to make sure the room was secure enough to satisfy them. Her attention then shifted to the two individuals that were already occupying the room, moving to stand next to and slightly behind Syn as she did so, waiting quietly as words were exchanged. Apparently it had been Bacchus that Mister Riley had been speaking of earlier during their trip. She also recognized the other offered names, having heard them before from the Giant. She'd been told a bit about his friends, though not quite enough to set off any red flags about any of them. At this point they were just people whose names she'd heard before. Apparently the situation was not quite the same for them. One eyebrow raised curiously as the girl named Erica addressed her and informed her that Bacchus had been shooting off his big mouth about the ribboned mutant, though she wasn't quite sure if that was a good thing or not. Instead of making a reply to her little comment, she instead turned her attention over to the young man that seemed to be playing the part of either a secret agent, or a bodyguard. Crossing her arms, she gave a bit of a smug grin. "Kind of scrawny to be a bodyguard, aren't you?" she asked of the fidgeting youth, not bothering to take the seat offered to her, but instead remaining where she was. Not even five minutes in the room and she was already messing with someone, though it wasn't anything new for her to do so. She'd grown a little restless after the long flight to Australia and the tense, stuffy atmosphere that seemed to follow Riley and his men. She wanted to have a little fun. She would leave the more serious matters, such as deciding when to start their meeting, up to Syn.
I’m just a well-adjusted gal who likes to leave a serious amount of mayhem in her wake.
The woman spoke up again. It would seem she was the one incharge of the two. The male was more focused on Isabel as Syn looked into his eyes. "I'm sure we'll see Baccus soon enough. Now as for what to discuss, for now a basic run down of what you've accomplished should be enough. i know I'm not the only one who's ready to get to work." Syn wasn't just suggesting herself so much as Isabel.

Erica nodded and smiled to Syn, “Yes to start,” Erica handed her the first folder with names of the Mutants that were more than happy to join the resistance, “this is the first couple pages of the list of Mutants and their mutations that had already offered to help us. They are categorized by power first then individual mutation and what use their mutation would be best suited for.”
Erica’s name was in the middle of the list as Gunner’s was towards the front, close to thirty mutants away from the beginning of the list. Which was reserved for Bacchus, he happened to be the strongest physically on in the resistance as of now and he happened to have a star next to his name. “Erica took a pause then said, “The one with stars are the higher ups, mainly the generals and the V.I.P.” Erica waited to hand her the next statistics of finical and past exploits of the resistance that were worth significant value. Jon had been very detailed on all the past missions and their outcomes.”
Gunner frowned slightly as Isabel seemed to be making fun of him but quickly caught his tongue before he said anything. ‘Finish the mission: say nothing and protect Erica.’ Gunner’s eyes then shot over to the two girls that looked to be in the same boat as him, they said nothing and did nothing.
Gunner’s body slightly twitched as his phone began to ring. ‘Who is calling this is for emergency’s only.’ Wondered Gunner as he pulled out the phone and answered it. Yes he knew it was disrespectful to Syn, Isabel, and everyone else but orders were orders and he had to answer the phone when the caller ID said, ‘Urgent Base Line’.
As fast as he could Gunner reached in his pocket and pulled his phone out and answered it, “Sir!” Gunner said into the phone. If someone in the room blinked they would have missed the movement of Gunner reaching his phone and lifting it to his ear, a short after image would have been seen if no one blinked.
Gunner’s expression changed only for a second as he listened on the phone. ‘Bacchus is in trouble…’ after the conversation was finished on the phone Gunner hung up and took off his glasses and leaned into Erica’s ear telling her the situation. Then noticing her reaction put a hand on her shoulder
Erica paused as Gunner answered the phone afraid for what was happening. She knew that the phone Gunner carried was only usable for emergencies so why did it just go off? Bacchus was the first person she thought of as the color fled from her face.
Time seemed to slow as Gunner hung up the phone and inched in closer to her ear. Gunner spoke and Erica dropped the files she was holding as they scattered to the ground. Erica’s eyes became blank as she gasped for air. She couldn’t speak she just froze until she felt a hand on her shoulder it was Gunner.
Erica tried to recompose her self as she bent down and picked up the scattered papers. “My apologies…” she said sounding slightly frantic. Once Erica collected the papers she stood and said, “Gunner and myself have just been informed that as of 2:40am last night Bacchus had been captured during a raid, we are under the assumption that Adapted were involved.” She paused looking at her hands then looked back to Syn, “It seems that Ares is in dire need to free Bacchus, and has requested your assistance. Mainly if you know anyone that would be of great help sneaking into a base.” Erica had a look in her eyes of both fear and longing to help Bacchus and hoping he wouldn’t be hurt.

Isabel grinned widely at the young man playing FBI dress-up, nearly disappointed that he had not made a retort to her little comment. Even a little bit of verbal banter was more excitement than she'd been put through for the past few hours. And the kid looked like so much fun to tease, especially if that disapproving frown was any indicator of his possible reactions to her poking and prodding at him. Easily she let her gaze slide away from Gunner and toward Syn as she set the meeting in motion, her pleased grin still firmly in place as the Dark Girl made it clear that not everyone was interested in talk. She couldn't agree more. From the sound of things, the humans had grown far too cocky for their own good int he Land Down Under. She had no qualms with putting them all back in their place. Especially since she believed their place was six feet down in the ground.
That grin, however, soon faded into a look that was somewhere between confusion and curiosity as someone's phone suddenly went off. Shifting her attention away from Syn it only took a moment before she realized it was the wannabee secret agent's phone that had interrupted their meeting. She didn't know what was going on, nor why it would extract such a reaction from the young woman that had met with them, the fact that the boy was whispering to her only causing frustration and impatience to bubble up inside her. Something was wrong, that was certain, though she couldn't quite tell if the girl was overreacting, if the calmer Gunner wasn't reacting enough, or if it was somewhere in the middle. She was getting increasingly unhappy with the situation as Erica hurried to collect the papers she'd allowed to scatter before finally the young woman spoke up and let them know what was going on. "Bacchus, huh?" she asked, the mounting frustration draining away as easily as it had boiled up, her expression calming as well. "That big idiot's always been getting himself into trouble ever since I first met him. And I've had to save his sorry ass more times than I can count," she continued, exaggerating perhaps the littlest bit. The Giant always had been nothing but trouble for her. For the most part at least. "Are we going to go in and save his sorry hide ourselves, Syn? Or are there any more of us crawling around Australia as well?"

Nathan flew around the camp once before he landed. The angelic pyromancer was returning from an advanced scouting mission. He ran reconnaissance for the force in Australia occassionally when he felt like it. This mission had offered the chance of intercepting an enemy force. And that sounded to good to pass up to Seraph.
As soon as he landed, Nathan was informed of the Dark Mistress's arrival. Along with a few other peices of information. As quickly as he could, the fire elemental made his way to the Sydney Opera House and then to the room where the meeting was being held.
The guard outside the door didn't make a sound as Seraph opened the door and walked inside confidently. The room held the expected Lady of Darkness, as well as the playful, fun-loving Isabel. Seraph offered a bow and greetings to the leader of the Order. The pair of female twin bodyguards Nathan dismissed immediately for he had no intention of harming the Lady Syn.
Seraph offered a nod of acknowledgement for the last two in the room. He knew hardly anything about them but it did not matter. The Lady Syn was in attendence, making her of the utmost importance. "I hope that I did not miss too much while I was away."
So now there's suddenly an emergency involving Baccus. Erica seemed a bit desperate from her tone. The comment from Isabel regarding Baccus always being in trouble recieved a smirk. Just then Seraph joined the gathering. "You haven't missed much at all." Turning back to Erica Syn gave a slight nod. "I do know someone who is skilled at infiltration. His name is Shade and I'll get him here quickly." Activating her communication device on her wrist Syn sent a signal to Shade requesting his pressence.
In a New York City, sixteen hours behind the Outback country, Shade was in a restless sleep. Along he was visible and no hellish dreams haunted his head, the lights required for him to stay visible burned through his eye-lids making it hard for him to get more than a few hours of rest at a time. Even that little amount of sleep was constantly interrupted when the slightly sound echoed through the halls of the Sanctuary. Snapping awake as another late night arrival clampered past his door, Shade's hand immediately materialized a dagger and was cocked to throw before he realized the innocence of the sond. Groaning loudly, he fell back into his bed as his dagger disappeared in a whisp of black smoke. His eyes had just slid closed when his communicator buzzed to life. They filled open in an instant as Shade reached for the communicator on his dresser. Syn was summoning him.
He immediately got out of bed and moved to his closet, throwing on his battle gear in a precise yet hurried fashion. With everything else on, Shade reached for his cloak and swung it around his shoulders and on to his body. His face immediately fell into darkness as the hood covered his head. Activating his communicator to both tell that he was on his way and as a GPS to home in on Syn's signal, Shade flipped the switch to the lights and teleported away into the darkness, beginning his long journey to the country down under.

Gunner immediately froze when a man just walked into the room. He didn’t say anything but just frowned slightly ‘what the hell is Riley doing? Letting everyone enter the room what if he was or is an enemy…’ although it couldn’t be seen Gunner’s eyes followed the man who entered the room. Still resting on him he heard Lady Syn speak of the one called Shade. Trying to remember all the names that Bacchus had spoke of back when he was in the order the name did ring a bell but Gunner could not put the mutation to the name.
Erica’s heart almost leapt out of her chest when Syn said she had someone in wise. ‘thank god’ Erica thought as she looked upon the new mutant that walked into the room. Despite the situation Erica couldn’t help but notice this man was cute.
Shaking her head slightly shaking out the bad thoughts Erica turned and waited to hear the good news from Gunner. She knew full well that even if Syn had one person in mind she would need a few more or some combat specialist seeing as Bacchus was caught; he was often called the Strong Armed General, mainly because of his brute strength. She did wonder how he was caught even with the adapted being there. ‘Probably knock out darts’.
Picking up his phone and hitting redial Gunner said, “Lady Syn said she had someone in mind and he will be here soon.” Gunner then listened to the voice on the other line and nodded then hung up the phone. He looked back to Erica and held her gaze for a second then turned his head back to Lady Syn, “Ares thanks you for your help in the rescue of Bach… I mean Giant’s Bane.” Gunner hated using code names but when you were in a battle for power it was the safest way to do things.
Pausing for a second Gunner knew he wasn’t supposed t talk but decided to add, “Also I was wondering if this Shade is skilled in fighting Adapteds, seeing as the base Bane is held at is probably swarming with them.” Gunner didn’t want to offend Syn in any way but was concerned not only because it was an order to make sure that Bacchus is returned safely but also because Bacchus was hi brother in all but blood.
”They have been after Bacchus for a while now and I doubt they will roll over and let him be set free.” Erica said in a tone that was both polite and full of determination, “I can only imagine how they are keeping him there for as long as they have.” She knew Bacchus wasn’t one to sit in one place for long and she knew that if he wanted to get out of a situation it would only be a short while before he would find a way. But this time was different this time he was captured something that doesn’t happen all that often.
Erica knelt down and began to collect the papers she dropped before trying to be quiet as possible; she did after all have to finish the job at hand. Which was to make Syn feel at home and inform her as much as possible.
