The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Hymn escaped the Sanctuary again this day. Well , escaped it a big word. She got out without anybody knowing. She found herself in the park again. She really liked that place because it was mostly calm and there where animals around. She liked animals exept if they hurt her. The park was always fun for her. Nice and calm and she didn't seem to have this much bother with her whispers when she was around area's like these.
She walked down the path with a smile on her face. The days wasn't very cold and the leaves fell of the tree's. The crisping of Cailyn's feet over the fallen leaves was heard as she went down the path. She found a big old tree in the middle of a field. She decided it could be fun to sit under it and look at the birds who where flying around. She sat down and looked around simply enjoying her freedom and the cool breeze that flew through the air. The grass felt soft and nice. She placed her hands in the grass and let her hands move through it while she sat with her back against the tree.
Sara’s day had just started. The feline had slept, well into the afternoon, so when the sun was high, she had finally stirred and pushed herself up. Ready to start a new day. The first stop was the park. Pick pocket someone, despite her latest talk with Luke about how her thievery effected others. Then she would be off, looking for something to eat.
The path in the park, where people jogged, wasn’t really the best place to find a pocket to pick. Joggers didn’t tend to carry cash with them, when they ran, and they also seemed to have attention to their surroundings. However it was a good way to get around the park, without being out in the open. The trees providing nice cover.
Sara was walking on the path, with her long coat draping down to her heals, and tail, and her head low under her hood. When she saw a girl sitting on the grass, under a tree a head. Sara tilted her head at the girl’s white hair, but intended to keep walking.
There seemed to be allot of joggers today but one person really stood out of the croud. Seemingly somebody didn't want to be recognized because that person was hiding behind some clothes. Cailyn found it rather interresting that somebody would dress this way.
The person seemed to have looked at her and then turned away. Whispers talked to her saying that the person was dangerous, not human. Cailyn believed it but she kept watching the person like a child seeing a big lollypop.
Sara stopped for a moment, so that he could move out of the way as a pair of joggers came up from behind. Officially, Sara could out run them, but running would attract attention. People don’t jog with a lot of cloths on. Even in the winter, Sara noticed that people jogged with shorts. Not long pants and not long coats.
Walking off of the path, to let the joggers by, brought her closer to the girl sitting in the grass. Without thinking, Sara’s tail flicked out from under the hem of her coat, and twitched, before she moved to continue on.
The person had a tail. Cailyn found that very interresting and fun. She got on hands and knees when she saw that and crawled a bit through the grass towards the person hoping she could see it again. People might look funny at her but nothing mattered anymore. The tail was her focus, she really liked animals with tails. They where mostly soft and furry and she wanted to see why that person had one. Whispers told her that she wasn't human. Cailyn saw that now too but then again, she wasn't "human" too.
She got to the edge of the grass and she stood up. She started to follow the person with big eyes of amazement. Hopefully she could see the tail again and maybe even touch it. That where Cailyn's objective for today.
The joggers passed and Sara started walking again. Though the girl that had been seated under the tree caught her attention. Sara’s ear, under her hood flicked back. To listen to her crawl towards her. It wasn’t till the girl stood up, that Sara tilted her head back, angling her face so that she could look back at the girl. Sara’s feline face was now in full vie, and her tail twitched again, at the hem of her coat.
The person turned around and looked like it was a she. She had a cat face instead of a normal human face. Most people would jump up, scream or run away but not Cailyn. She looked at her with her big amazed eyes and simply said: "A kitty." She pulled up a nice smile and looked at the woman. "Hi." She added shortly after she pulled the smile and she said it with a squicky nice voice.
Sara raised an eye brow when this girl didn’t back down, turn, or run from her face. Hello! Sara was the most frightening living breathing Halloween costume there could be! Ok maybe she wasn’t but most people still left her alone the minute they saw her face.
"A kitty."
“…” Oh great.
"Hi."
“Ahhh. Hi.” Sara waved a paw like hand, then turned around and started walking again. Not exactly sure what to make about the sudden attention she was getting.
She waved back and examined the kitty person. She couldn't see her tail anymore which Cailyn didn't like. The kitty person tried to leave to leave but Cailyn didn't want that. As the kitty person was turned around, Cailyn grabbed her hand and said: "Please don't leave." She looked a bit shyly and added: "I never met a kitty girl before."
Sara paused in mid step. Her hand grabbed, and Sara turned back to look at the girl over her shoulder. Clearly confused by the unusual action.
"I never met a kitty girl before."
Sara’s head tilted. She let her hand stay out where the girl could still hold it. While Sara had been meaning to continue on her way, the contact between their hands was nice. A pleasant experience, even with it not being her norm. “Well that sort of makes two of us.” Sara replied. “I’ve never met anyone interested in meeting a kitty girl before.”
“Well that sort of makes two of us.” Sara replied. “I’ve never met anyone interested in meeting a kitty girl before.”
This made Cailyn wonder. Why wouldn't anybody like kitty people. Weren't cats fun animals. "Why don't people like kitty people?" She blurted out. Was she one of the few people who did was a question that was raised in Cailyns head. "You are all fluffy and soft." She said as she looked at the cat persons hand and petted it. Then she reminded herself that it wasn't nice to do that and she pulled her hand away and blushed. "Sorry, i'm being rude." she said.
Sara raised an eye brow, again. Was this girl nuts? Didn’t she walk around in every day New York? People weren’t furry and they didn’t like difference. Still Sara staid rooted to the spot.
"You are all fluffy and soft."
Fluffy and soft…. Sara’s right ear twitched and her eyes stared. “Ahhhhhh…..” Sara didn’t like being called fluffy and soft. Even if she was… sort of… at least her fur was fluffy and soft… but still.
“Are you so sure about the fluffy and soft part?” the words just ort of slid out of her mouth on their own. Sara didn’t really mean to say them. Sure her fur was fluffy and soft, and that hand on her arm, stroking, felt oddly calming to her, but she had sharp teeth too. Long elegant, sharp feline teeth.
"Sorry, i'm being rude."
The hand, that was stroking the fur on her arm, left, and Sara’s right ear twitched again. “Huhh… That’s alright. I guess I don’t mind.”
Cailyn thought it over again. In her mind cats where the fun and soft animals you see on tv. She had no idea what cats could do to people when there angry and seeing as she stood against a human sized cat it could be dangerous for her. She simply nodded and said: "Uh huh."
“Huhh… That’s alright. I guess I don’t mind.”
"You don't?" she blurted out again. Her father always thought her that touching people without permission wasn't a very good idea. The guards where a perfect example of that. "They always said i couldn't touch without permission." she said to the person a bit shyly with a blush on her face.
Sara shook her head. The change from the normal reaction was becoming easier to accept by the minute.
"They always said i couldn't touch without permission."
Sara smirked. She use to be told the same thing, but given the chance, Sara was also a biter/clawer. With good reason. “Well it is rude to walk up and start touching people without being asked to, or without permission. It’s a little… Surprising to most people, I guess.” It was certainly surprising to Sara.
“Well it is rude to walk up and start touching people without being asked to, or without permission. It’s a little… Surprising to most people, I guess.”
Her face turned red like a traffic light. She bowed and quickly said: "Sorry." again. She didn't want to offend the kitty person because well kitty persons where cool. Cailyn couldn't resist the urge to ask her what it was like to be a kitty person and if there where more of her. "What's it like to be a kitty person? do you have your own city." She blurted out again with a face like a tomato. She gotten into other akward situations before bit this time her curiousity ran amok in her head.
