The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Suddenly there was another loud thump that sounded like it was coming from the roof. Streak sat up quickly. "What was that?" He asked her. "That's the noise I was telling you about." She answered him in a very I-told-you-so tone of voice. Shawn sat in bed, unsure of what to do. He figured if they didn't try to come into her her apartment then it wouldn't matter. Soon they heard a very faint sound. It was the sound of someone picking the lock to their front door. Streak whispered to her, "Don't move. Stay in here and out of sight." He cautiously climbed out of bed and shut the bedroom door behind him. Before Streak closed the door he looked back to see Emily getting out of bed and going to find a hiding spot.
Streak powered up and waited for the intruders to come in. Not knowing what kind of weapons they had he formed a baton, like what the cops carry, out of his silver and waited for them to enter. He leaned against the wall, near the couch, and waited patiently. After another minute of listening to heir tinkering they entered. They quickly entered the room and looked around. Streak was able to count them as they entered. There were at least five, nothing he couldn't handle. One of the intruders spotted him. "Look over there boss." He obviously wasn't the leader. They all looked and saw Streak at the same time. "Hey you. What are you doing here?" The man asked Streak. He had a very thick Italian accent and Streak's thoughts immediately went to back to the Italian restaurant and all the dead waiters, waitresses, owners, and children. Then his thoughts went to Emily, whom he'd found at the diner after the murder. Streak didn't reply to them. They continued to ask him questions as they walked closer to him. They were very cautious about him and they had every reason to be.
He was a silver clad fighter lying in wait to attack. He didn't budge as they got closer. Didn't blink, didn't twitch, didn't even breath. They poked him a few times before they decided Streak was fake and moved on the looking through the house. That's when Streak attacked. It was very fast and brief. He'd move from one spot to another and they'd wonder how he got there. Finally one of them said, "Would whoever is moving that thing around stop it." Everyone denied moving Streak, because of course none of them had. "Man you guys sure are stupid." Streak said to them. They all whirled around to look at him. "Who said that?" One of them said. Streak stood still trying his hardest not to burst out laughing at them as a few of them stared right at him. He then spoke again, "I did. And I'm guessing your the ones who murdered the restaurant owners also." Now they knew it was Streak talking, especially since a few of them saw him talk.

They attacked. Streak dodged them easily and sent them running into the wall. Streak dodged a few of the attacks before returning the attacks. The first two went down easy. Dodging a punch aimed at his face, Streak returned by hitting the crook with the back of his weapon across the head. The bugler went down quickly and didn't move. One shot to the temple will do that to a person. The next attacker had grabbed a knife and started swinging it at him. Streak was getting backed up by the guy swinging the knife. He blocked it a few times with his own weapon, but he was still giving ground. He tripped over the chair in her living room and fell into it. "Oomf." He said, hitting his head on the armrest. The man that had the knife came down to stab him. Streak was able to pick up more silver off his body and form a longer, sharper object to use. It wasn't the sword he'd formed before but it was definitely sharp enough. He stabbed the man in the shoulder just as he was coming down on Streak. "Ahhh! the man cried as he dropped the knife and backed away from Streak, and pulling the blade out of his shoulder.
Streak rolled off the chair and onto the floor. He stood up and swung his machete looking weapon in a circle. They'd all stopped charging him. "Come on who's next?" he asked the thugs. "Us." one of the burglar's said to him. The two intruders that were the first to attack him attacked again. He swung his machete at them and they both reeled backwards. He then kicked them. One with a side kick to the ribs, so hard that they cracked, and the other got a round kick to the side of his head. They both stumbled backwards again, only this time they clutched the parts of their body that had just been hit. One shook his head and held his jaw. It may not have been broken but he was in a lot of pain. Streak followed up with an axe kick and a couple of punches to the two so fast that no one realized that they'd been hit until the two were lying on the floor in a heap.
The remaining three looked at him in surprise. Five against one and they were still loosing. It was no doubt that they were trained professional, however, they weren't trained enough to go up against someone who'd spent their entire life fighting people, when he could use his powers and when he couldn't. The boss stood back as he sent is next two victims...sorry I mean, partners, after Streak. They followed him without question and even though one was injured he still didn't complain. The already injured one was the easiest to take down. All it took was a little joint manipulation on the shoulder that was already injured and he was down. The second punched Streak in the head. He went down for only a second before coming back up to fight. The burglar threw a back fist at Streak. He caught it and hit him hard at his elbow. "Ahh!" He cried and Streak let him go. The arm hung limp at the mans side. Streak wasn't going to let him get off that easily. With a simple jump kick to the guys head, the man flew back and landed on the coffee table with a resounding CRASH! "Great now you broke the table." Shawn said to the unconscious man.
He turned around to face the boss. He pointed at him and said, "Your next." The bosses face flashed fear. It was easy to see. Streak waited for the attack. He charged. With the ease that he used the first time he dodged the bosses attack and dealt a hard blow to the guys head. The man fell on top of one of his stirring flunkies. "Oomf." they both said. The boss got up weakly and so did the rest of his cronies. "Your lucky your hear or you'd be dead right now man. Dead. Come on guys lets get out of here." The boss said. All the other burglar's followed him out the door. Streak watched them run out of the complex and down into a car. He closed the door behind him and locked it again. They would probably be back but not for a while.

After the little brawl in Emily's living room slash kitchen area Streak checked himself over. He hadn't received any injuries that required more that a few minutes to heal. After making sure all the doors and windows were securely locked up, he walked back to the doors where he'd come from before the fight. Before entering the bedroom he pulled his silver back into his body. He began opening the door and called into the room, "Emily? You can come out now. I took care of them."
Streak entered the room and closed the door behind him. He didn't hear an answer when he called into the room so Shawn walked farther into the room. "Emily?" he called out. Shawn then walked into the bathroom. He checked behind the door, the shower curtain, the closet. No sign of her. Streak then checked under the bed and found her there. "Hey. Why didn't you come out when I called you?" His smile seemed to enlighten the room and made Emily feel completely safe. She crawled out from under the bed and, with Shawn's comforting, was able to fall back to sleep. They both woke up early the next day and spent most of the day cleaning up the broken furniture.
They didn't talk much that day. It took most of the day for them clean up and find all the pieces that were lying around in places where neither of them thought it was possible for the shrapnel of broken furniture was able to go. All Shawn could say to her was "I'm sorry. I didn't think this would happen." All it seemed that Emily was able to say to his statement was, "I'm glad you did that. If you hadn't been here I don't know what they would have done to me if you hadn't been here to stop them." Once they'd finished picking everything up it had turned into an all day event. They decided to leave the rest where it was and pick up where they'd left off tomorrow.
Both Shawn and Emily had an uneventful and calm night. They spent the night looking at stores for pieces for furniture that would blend in with the rest of the furniture she had in her living room. The relaxing day certainly helped Emily unwind from the night before. Emily, however, was still paranoid that the burglars, which Streak beat up, would return with more people and he would get seriously hurt. She maintained that he'd been lucky that night because they weren't expecting anyone to fight them while they were there. Streak, though, maintains that it was because he was such a great fighter. She didn't necessarily believe him but settled for his answer nonetheless.

The next day Shawn and Emily went to the nearest furniture store and she purchased a table that looked almost completely different from the one that Shawn had destroyed a few nights previous. The brought it back to her apartment and set it where it belonged. It was fairly easy to get it back there and once they were done Shawn decided to cook some food for her. The food was good, however, he admitted to missing a few ingredients which would have made it a great dish.
After they'd eaten They went out and Shawn treated her to whatever she wanted to do. There happened to be a fair in town this weekend and Emily announced that she wanted to go there. It was a clear and chilly night. He still had his jacket that he'd stolen from the store when he first arrived in London. The couple made their way to fair by bus. There were plenty of people there that were enjoying the shows being put on by the circus performers. They watched a few shows before going back out into the crisp night air and playing some games.
Streak played some of the fair games, like throwing a baseball at a group of bowling pins. He was never very good at throwing but he managed to get lucky this night and hit the pins. "Winner, winner, winner. What prize do ya want? Maybe one for your little lady friend?" The carnie said to Shawn. Emily blushed at the mans comment. "Oooh, that one." she said pointing to one of the large silverish teddy bears. Streak smiled understood why she had picked that animal. The carnie handed her the bear and they left. Moving along the stands of the various fair games, Emily finally caught sight of a fairiswheel. Her eyes lit up like she was a child again with her family. She took Shawn's hand and pulled him towards the fairiswheel practically running through the crowd.
Emily and Shawn waited in line for quite some time before they were able to actually get on the ride. Once there Shawn sat patiently as he rode the ride. Truth be told he wasn't to excited about going on the fairiswheel because if he wanted to see the sights from above all he had to do was fly. She gripped the bear and Shawn tight as they went higher into the air. She was having fun and Shawn wasn't going to stop her from having it. When she looked up at him he smiled back down at her so that she wouldn't know that he wasn't having a good time. Quite the contrary. He was having fun, it just wasn't as much fun when he could do that himself.

After letting Emily have a fun time on the fairiswheel, they walked around more. There were plenty of sights to see, the petting zoo, riding the elephants, watching the lions and tigers and bears...Oh my...perform in the big tents for them and many other hundreds of other people. After a couple of shows Shawn was getting hungry, so they left the warmth of the tent and found a hot dog vendor and cotton candy vendor. "I'll have a hot dog with ketchup, mustard, and pickle relish. You want anything?" He asked her as the vendor began getting his order ready. Em, shook her head 'no' and cuddled the bear he'd won for her. Streak paid the man and they continued on their way, until she saw the cotton candy stand.
She took Shawn's free hand and pulled him towards it. There was no one in line so they walked right up to the man and got a large portion of cotton candy. They walked slower as they enjoyed their food. "Can I have a bite?" She asked him. "Sure." he answered simply as he handed her his hot dog. She took a bite of it and mentioned her liking it. Shawn offered once again to get her one but she once again denied the invitation. Shawn finished his hot dog and she reciprocated the action by offering him a bite of her cotton candy. Streak took some and enjoyed the slight sugar rush he received from it. The couple spent the rest of the evening walking around the fair. It was late, probably midnight, if not later, when everything started to calm down and people started to make for their homes.
Emily was wearing out quickly after having eaten most of the cotton candy, and started to fall asleep on Shawn's shoulder as they walked closer to the exit. After a while Emily announced that she was so tired she couldn't walk any more. They still had a ways to go before they made it back to her apartment and he would have to carry her there. Since Streak had never had the best luck with humans, once they knew he was a mutant, he walked behind an empty booth, covered himself in silver and flew away with Emily in his arms. She was awakened slightly as the cold wind lashed at her face. "Close the car window Shawn." She said snuggling her head further into his chest, like a puppy in their owners arms.
Shawn laughed slightly. "Were not in a car. Look." He told her giving his shoulder a shrug. Emily slowly unburied her face from his chest, opened her eyes and looked around. She nearly jumped out of Streak's arms when she noticed she was flying high above the city. Buildings, streetlights, car horns and any other noises and lights were just specks like they were inside a plane and looking out the windows. Streak started flying lower and the lights started to get brighter as well as the car horns got louder. Streak landed in front of her apartment complex and they walked inside.

The flying seemed to give her more energy and cure her sugar crash. Emily's face was flushed red from the excitement and from the cold air. Walking up to her apartment, she started talking excitedly about the flying. "Is that what you see every time you fly? Can we do it again? Why didn't you take me flying sooner? Shawn just smiled. The questions continued to fly in his direction as they got closer and closer to the door.
Emily pulled out her keys to the apartment and after fumbling with them for about a minute opened the door. They walked into the warm apartment and quickly pulled off their jackets. Emily didn't even wait for any answers to her questions. Shawn thought they were more rhetorical questions than ones that she actually wanted answers to. After getting the fair smell off of them. Mostly from the petting zoo portion and the elephants, they climbed into bed and they both quickly fell asleep dreaming of the night they'd just spent together.
They both slept late and didn't awake until afternoon. Shawn got up and started making breakfast, or lunch depending on how you looked at it. Emily, however, didn't wake up until later and was still tired. Emily came out coughing. "Are you okay Em?" Shawn asked her. She was still gripping the bear that he'd won for her the night before. Em shook her head. She looked like hell and probably felt like it. Seeing the food on the small table waiting for her, she ran to an bathroom and promptly threw up. "Uh oh. I don't think that's my fault, but then again I've been wrong before." He said to himself setting the food down and walking into the bathroom. "Em. You okay?" he repeated walking a little farther into the bathroom. Hearing her hurl again, Shawn quickly knelt down by her side and, like any decent human being, held her hair out of the way so that she didn't get any vomit in her hair.
Once the retching had subsided Shawn felt her forehead. "Em. Your burning up." he exclaimed. "I think it was that hot dog." She said sickly before she threw up some more. After she had emptied the contents of her stomach he carried her to the bed and gently laid her down and tucked her in. Shawn then went about making soup and other things that would help heal her. He spent all day trying to figure out what had made her so sick and not affected him.

After thinking for a long time and surfing the medical web pages, he couldn't figure it out. Unknowingly he had passed over the real answer to her problems. He had passed over the illness because in America he didn't see many outbreaks there, aside from the random kid at the mansion. The answer was obvious and he should have known what it was as soon as she was sick. "Shawn. Get over here now!" Emily demanded. It snapped him out of his trance that he was in reading the information on the internet. He assumed it was something important so he hurried in to the living room where she was lying on the couch and watching the TV. "What's wrong." He said dashing into the room.
"Get me some water. Now." She said impatiently as if she'd told him a dozen times before. "Okay, sure." He said attributing her anger to being sick. Once he brought it to her she apparently thought it was time to let him have it. "Well it took you long enough. What's you do go down to the bloody English Channel and fetch it." Mind you it only took him about ten seconds to get the glass, fill it with water, and bring it to her. She continued, as Shawn stood there and continued to let her vent her frustration at him. "I don't know why your here if your going to cause me more trouble than help. Especially when I am bloody ill." She took a sip of the water before spitting it over him and the floor. "It's cold!" She exclaimed. "I told you I didn't want cold water! Why can't you do anything right?! I might as well do it my self." Emily said exasperated. "I'll leave you to watch more TV and get more rest. Shawn said to her. Em glowered at him as he left the room.
Streak continued to surf for more answers when one name caught his attention. It was in bold letters like it was calling out the answer to him. Haywire. She'd contracted the flu strain of the virus. Crap was all he thought. He'd had experience dealing with the virus. A long time a go. He didn't enjoy it then and he probably wasn't going to enjoy it now. Fortunately, this strain was less powerful than the real thing; however, it was still powerful enough to wreak havoc on things and people. He continued to read about this strain of the virus. Shawn absorbed the information like a sponge immersed in water. "This is not a good thing. Why did she have to contract this? Who gave it to her and why now?" He said to himself as he continued to read. "What did you say to me?" She yelled from the couch. "Nothing." He said back to her. She didn't believe him. She used her powers.

It was grayish and smokey. The wandered around looking for an opening. Shawn was finding nothing. No weakness, no way out. He needed to find a way out. he was getting tired. If he didn't find his way out soon there would be no telling when he would regain control of his body. Streak would run from wall to wall pounding on them, pushing, punching, kicking, and doing anything that he could do to gain the upper hand on her in his mind.
Shawn sat straight up in the chair. He looked around the room like he was seeing it for the first time. Getting up out of the chair, he turned, a little robotically, towards the door that led to the living room and the rest of the house. Slowly he walked into the living room, barely avoiding hitting the frame of the door with his arm and shoulder. He was walking like he was drunk, groggy, or even like he was dazed. IN truth he was mentally fighting to regain control over his body. Emily had done what he thought she wouldn't do to him ever. As hard as he struggle mentally he couldn't win the battle between the two minds. Since her power was mental she had the obvious advantage.
"Stop it Emily. This isn't funny. Let go of my mind now." He looked around expecting to see someone. Suddenly there was a dark figure walking towards him out of the shadows. "Don't worry Shawn, you'll get out of here as soon as I'm done with you. Just sit back, relax and see what I can do." She taunted him. Shawn, not thinking clearly, rushed her. He knew that it was futile. When he reached her she dodged him like he was moving in slow motion. He fell to the smokey ground before getting tied up by a thin, yet strong, silvery strands. "Relax." She bent down and ran a finger down his face and chest. "Now we are one." Just then he lifted up and she ceased to be here. He was free again. Free to walk around his mind just as if nothing had happened. She had taken over his mind. After a while Emily started to get used to controlling Shawn's mind. She didn't really know what was going on and little did either of them know when she touched him they had mentally joined minds.
As much as Shawn fought against her now he would not be able to regain control. "Just relax. I'll take care of us both now. No need for anyone to run around and serve the other. We are both one now." Her voice sounded like it came from nowhere and yet everywhere at the same time. Emily's voice sounded cold and uncaring. It wasn't like her to act like that. "Let go of me right now. This isn't right. You can't just take over someone's minds without permission." He felt oddly alone inside his own mind. Shawn could see through his eyes and into the living room where Emily lay. She was lying on the bed in a trance, almost comatose. It was apparent that she was doing this subconsciously. This was one jam that he would not likely get out of. How did this happen? What will happen next to him? Will he be able to regain control of his own mind or will Emily remain in control before for to long?

Stairing at her, he could only think of looking at her through a movie screen. Everything was happening, and yet it seemed like it would never happen to him. Like it was all a movie. Unfortunately it was all happening and there was nothing he could do to stop it. The more he struggled against her control the tighter she held his mind. "Stop struggling. It wont do you any good. Just sit back and let me do all the work." A chair, a very comfy looking chair appeared out of the mist. She had obviously created it from his mind. Once again Emily appeared in front of Shawn. Without touching him she pushed him backwards and he fell into the chair. As much as he tried, He couldn't get out of the chair. It was sucking him into it and holding him down.
Once again she spoke in her very cold and unfamiliar voice. The Emily he knew had a beautiful voice. One that always sounded kind and welcoming. Her new voice sounded harsh and dangerous. Shawn stopped trying to get out of the chair, sitting still. He knew what she was trying to do, because he had it attempted on him before, he was going to let her think that he had given up when all he was really doing was lulling her into a false sense of of control. Part of Shawn wanted him to continue to fight against her, knowing that she would win in the end, and the other part of him was interested in finding out what she was going to do to him.
Seeing him relax, she smiled her cold smile, and said "Now. Look at what you are capable of and knew that you are only able to get this through me. Your pathetic mind would never allow you to access your full power." As she was talking she became more excited and Shawn could see the excitement in her eyes. As the figure of Emily disappeared from his sight he was able see her again on the couch and hear her in the same omnipotent voice . Shawn had lost all control of any bodily movement. He saw only what she wante dhim to see, heard what she wanted him to hear, and did whatever she wanted him to do. She wouldn't tell him what she was making him do, although he could see it, he just did it.
Little did Shawn know, Emily was going to get even with the burglars that had broken into her apartment just a few days ago. After he had done a few things for her like bring her more soup and generally taking care of her she covered his body in silver. She made him fly out of her apartment. He was flying at speeds he'd never been at before. Flying past jets that were at their top speeds before coming to a stop dead stop in less than a second.

Still sitting in the chair Shawn saw the people that were standing around talking. Emily had appeared beside him during the flight and sat on his lap sideways. Her arms wrapped around his neck and her legs and feet dangled lazily over the arm rest of the chair. He laid one hand over her legs and she sat there happily. "See those men down there. They broke into the apartment. They're also the men that killed all those people in the restaurant the day we met. You let them go because you're weak. But I'm not going to do that. I'm going to get revenge and you will help me." He tried to push her off him but she didn't budge even an inch, as if he hadn't touched her. Shawn could feel her digging into his mind. She was looking for something he didn't know was there. After hovering for about a minute Emily found whatever it was she was looking for.
Streak could feel the changes happening as they took place. Inside his mind Streak was screaming from the pain. It felt like his skin was ripping apart and things were pushing out of his skin. As a matter of fact, that's what was happening. His arms both upper and lower were on fire. His back felt like it was being stretched to its limit. His silver back spit open, first a little, then bigger and bigger as two blades began to protrude themselves from his shoulder blades. His skin continued to rip wider as they continued to push out of his body. His arms were a bit different feeling. It It felt like someone had taken a sharp knife and, beginning at his a point just below his wrist, began to cut him going all the way to just above his elbow. Then it started just above his elbow and ended at his arm pit. The blades faced backwards and away from his body.
After the pain had begun to subside on his arms, his back fired up again. Emily was controlling how and wen the blades came out of his body. She wanted him to feel pain and know that it was she that was in control of everything that happened in his life right now. Another set of set of blades came out of his back which if you were to draw them would make a rectangle down his back that ended at his lower back. Once all the blades were done growing, expanding, and hardening on his body Shawn mentally worn out on the chair sat there as if he was asleep, eyes open and and aware, yet exhausted. "You can't be tired yet, we've just started. And I'm not done having fun with you." She teased him. "I bet your not done." He said wearily and in as disgusted a voice as he could muster.
Emily smiled at him before sending Streak down to where the burglars/murderers were standing around conversing. They were in a run down apartment complex where no one went. Not even the cops came in this neighborhood. The criminals and drug dealers had the run of the place her e and Emily was going to make sure that they didn't, or at least this little group didn't have any more control. Streak floated through the crumbling building, passing through floor to floor until he entered the room where the criminals were gathered. One of the burglars looked up when Streak appeared. He recognized him from when they broke into Emily's apartment and shouted out, "Oi! It's that guy who kicked our arses when we tried to burglarize that apartment." He'd sounded the alarm. Just what Emily had wanted. Since she was insed his head she knew everything that he was capable of and more so. Currently he was a walking papper shredder with all the blades that were on him. They hadn't seen the blades yet, however, once they encircled him they saw them and were afraid.

Singlehandedly he'd beaten them all when they'd surprised him. Now that he had surprised him, they wondered what he would do to them. They all rushed him at he same time. Emily-Streak waited until they were close enough before kicking one on his left and swinging his bladed right arm at one of the other guys. The burglar moved right into the blades, which sliced cleanly into his neck and was almost decapitated. He fell down at Streaks feet. Shawn wanted to see what had happened to the other man, but Emily was focused on the other criminals in the room. One of the criminals was obviously not the brains of the group. He ran straight at Streak's back, which was covered in blades, hit Streak's back and sunk the blades directly into his chest and abdomen. The man was dead on impact.
Emily shook him off as he slumped down onto the ground. That was two dead with out even really trying. They quickly disposed of two more criminals before the rest got smart. They couldn't beat him in the dark by surprise, what made them think that they could beat him when they were caught off guard. The others came around to stand in front of him. They all stared at him, seeing all the dead bodies lying around him, with the blood seeping out of the bodies and onto the floor. Emily formed knives in Streak's hands and waited for the attack. Emily-Streak beckoned them to attack, ready for action and hungry for blood. "This is not right Em. There's no way they can win against me. I beat them without your help and now with your help i'm even more dangerous. Isn't this enough? Haven't you had enough?" He pleaded with her but she wasn't listening. She was having to much fun.
Suddenly they all pulled hand guns and aimed them at Streak. If they couldn't beat him with sheer numbers then they would kill him with bullets. Or at least try to. Emily was ready for it. She quickly made Streak form a shield that covered himself from any bullets that night hit him. His favorite shield was one that looked like it was from 300 and that's what Emily used. They started firing and she shielded them from both the bullets. Surprisingly there weren't very many that were good aims. Very few bullets actually hit their mark, Streak's shield. While they were shooting Emily-Streak put knives through their shield to make it a weapon. When they ran out of bullets it was their turn. Emily-Streak ran directly at them knives in hand and shield on their arm. Streak was fast alone, however with Emily in his mind he was faster.
He ran directly into the nearest criminal with his shield and detached the shield from his hand. Moving on to the next guy he took the knives directly to his neck and sliced through cleanly. He went down in a spurt of blood. Turning their attention to the next bad guy, who was trying to reload his weapon fast, was easily struck down with a knife in placed deep in his chest. The last guy that was there managed to reload his gun; however, he wasn't quick enough to use it. Moving quickly through the remaining group Emily brought Streak's bladed arms down on the mans chest. There was no way he could have avoided it. His chest was sliced open and then had a slash cut open his neck. With Streak being the only person left alive in the room and the blood quickly spilling out of these people on the ground, Shawn was getting annoyed by all the blood shed. She had apparently had enough, picking up all the knives, and his shield before making Streak take off into the air and fly through the building without leaving a trace that he was there.

They returned to her apartment, Shawn ranting to Emily the entire way back about what she'd mad him do. "Shut up Shawn." Emily said to him finally as they entered her apartment. She slapped Shawn and tied him up to the chair. All this was taking place in his head which meant he was forced to watch what his body was doing because of Emily like he was watching the outside world on a movie screen. Once he was back in the apartment, Emily powered him down and made him start making dinner. As his powers were retracted the blades in his arms and back withdrew back inot his skin just like the other silver in his body.
One thing he did not notice was that he had no scars from the blades. There was no evidence that the blades existed, until he used his powers again. the rest of the night was pretty calm. Well, calm in the sense that there was no more unnecessary blood shed. Since Emily wasn't inclined on making any more revenge, Shawn had quit complaining to the Emily in his head. She was being more amiable and friendly that night and what seemed just as odd was that her moods seemed reflected by the Emily that was in control of Shawn's mind.
Since Emily was happier that night she seemed more inclined to be nicer to Shawn, who was still tied up in the chair, and sat on his lap. While Emily made Shawn's body sit next to hers on the couch they cuddled with both their minds and their bodies. Shawn, however, continued to make her comfortable and try to nurse her back to health. Unfortunately, no matter what he did it didn't seem to work. She just didn't seem to get better. Streak continued to give her the basics of making people feel better. You know what I mean, soup, water, blankets, and let her get plenty of rest while they shared the couch. Emily was in no shape to be moved to the bed. For her any major movement, aside from rolling over to get more comfortable, was just to much and made her nauseous. After they watched a few hours of TV in Shawn's head they got up turned off the lights and slpet together on the couch. Unfortunately the sleep didn't last for either of them because every time Emily woke up to vomit Streak woke up as well to console her.

The next few days proceeded in much the same manner as the earlier that week, only without the murdering. The time spent was mostly healing Emily, and have him cuss him out if he didn't do it right. No matter what she said it was her fault if whatever she wanted was wrong because she was the one in control of his mind. All he could do was sit in the chair she'd created for him in his mind, and take the abuse. During the previous day they'd visited the doctors office, who had only confirmed what Streak had thought it was before.
This doctor, in Streak's opinion, was a complete idiot. He told them that there was nothing they could do to treat her. All they could do for Emily was let the sickness run its course and after that her body would create antibodies to protect her from that strain of the virus. Once Streak took her back to her apartment, Emily promptly threw up. Finally, Shawn led her back to the couch and laid her down so that she could rest. The Emily in Shawn's mind had become frustrated and restless. Whenever this happened it was not a good thing. She decided to take Streak out for a swing again and experiment with his powers. It was evening when they returned to the apartment, which meant that it was around diner time.
Just like before, she powered up his silver and he flew around looking for something only she knew of. Shawn could only watch as Emily continued to control his body and show him elements to his powers that he himself couldn't have even imagined in his wildest dreams. Once again Streak flew faster than he'd flown ever before. When he stopped, which was rather abruptly, he felt the blades protruding through his silvery skin again. Fortunately for him it didn't hurt this time; in fact he hardly noticed it. Streak looked down on the scene before him. It seemed calm and he didn't notice anything out of the ordinary. Emily looked like she was waiting for something, someone important. Then Shawn saw them. It was another group of people, like the ones that she'd made him kill. they wore all black suits and looked over all very professional, yet very suspicious.
Streak-Emily landed in the alleyway next to building where the group of suspicious looking business men entered. The alley was completely dark and Streak stood out like a lantern in the dark. Luckily Emily soon fixed that. She dug through his brain again, where his powers were situated, and once again found what she was looking for.As a random stranger walked by they glanced in and saw Streak brightening. The person stopped and stared at what was happening. Just like when the the blades first appeared on his body, he was in tremendous amounts of pain. On the outside his muscles were straining and spasming, while his head was contorted in silent pain. Inside Streak's head, however, was a different story. Inside he was screaming from the pain. It was like he was had been sitting in the sun all day long for five days straight with no sunscreen. Then just as suddenly as the pain and brightness had begun it had all ended. Streak was back to his normal silver color.
Then it happened again. Streak then looked calm on the outside like nothing had happened. The person who was watching him was earlier was confused. He didn't know what to think of what he'd just seen happen. Then Streaks body started to shake. It looked very odd to anyone watching him. his skin was getting darker by the second until he was almost completely black. Inside his head Shawn was shivering, his lips had turned blue, breath was frosting with every exhalation. Then once again Streak was back to his silver color. Once her torturing had finished for the night she had him enter the building, which also happened to be a restaurant. Streak looked around and saw that nothing looked out of place, like it did a few minutes before when he looked down from the air at the business men. Shawn wondered why he was there.

Shawn watched intently as Emily seemed to know what she was doing. Emily; however, moved Streak to a corner of the restaurant where the light wasn't very predominant. It was another Italian restaurant. The smells of lasagna, spaghetti, and many other delicious foods bombarded Shawn's senses as he watched the bustle of the dinner time rush. Emily darkened Streak's silver to an almost black, which blended in with the corner of the room he was hiding in, and went unnoticed by all patrons and employees of the restaurant. Shawn asked Emily, "What's going on? Why are we here?" Then the memories of when they first met came flooding back to him like he'd just been hit by a train.
"Was this how it happened back at the other restaurant?" Shawn questioned her. She turned to face him, eyes burning with rage. "Yes this is just how it happened last time. A group of business men walked into the restaurant casually. The owner came out and greeted them like they were all friends. See there's the owner right now." She said pointing him out to Shawn. "They'll sit there all night until the place empties. Then they'll discuss things before they make their move on the store owners. We'll sit here and wait for then. We don't want the police around just like they don't." Emily concluded.
The two continued to sit in the corner, and remarkably, remained unnoticed the entire night. The shop closed early. Because they apparently had important business to attend to. The business men and the owner, along with a few other employees, sat at the table and talked for another hour or so. Emily remained awake the entire time; although Shawn began to drift off towards the end of their meeting. He was suddenly snapped wide awake when he suddenly heard the sound of guns cocking. It was time for Streak-Emily to jump into action. They stood up and and instantly returned to his normal silver color. Non e of the businessmen paid any attention to Streaks seemingly sudden appearance. Since they were all facing away from him they obviously didn't see him; however, the owner and his employee's did see him. Since Streak showed himself at the same time as the businessmen pulled out their guns they were still surprised just as much. Streak stepped up and said "Now in what way is that good hospitality? This own has obviously been nice to you, feeding you, closing early so you could have your bloody meeting, and even humored you through your meeting by keeping the drinks comin. And you're going to kill him?" Streak-Emily inquired. Since Emily was talking to them through Streak it sounded as if he had an English accent. The businessmen looked around confused. "Wha...Who...Huh?" Finally gaing their tounges one of them said, "So what? you double crossed us and now you hired this freak to take us out when we showed up?" The mafia was apparently much more prevalent than Shawn first realized. Especially in this day and age. Streak had thought that most mafia groups had been erased long ago. The restaurant owner was just as confused as the business men, who were holding their guns at both the restaurant owner and Streak.

(ooc: i couldn't help the reference to such a great movie. V for Vendetta I took the quotes directly off the internet so if something' s wrong it's not my fault. I have tweaked it a little to fit the plot better. Enjoy.)
Streak began to walk towards then steadily without any fear of getting shot. The businessmen were still trying to figure out what was going on when Emily-Streak was right next to them. They all looked over Streak's appearance. It was very frightening to see a silver person with blades coming out of their back and arms. "I'm not hired by any of these fine gents here." Streak began. He was quickly cut off by a gun being pointed directly at his head. "I'll be doing the talking here. Just answer my questions and I wont have to kill you. Now. Who are you?" Both Shawn and Emily smiled. They both knew where this was going. Shawn was finally allowed to get out of the chair. He walked up to Emily and said, "Let's screw with 'em.""my pleasure." She replied immediately returning his sly smile.
"Who? Who is but the form following the function of what and what I am is a man made of silver." The question and answer couldn't have been more perfectly placed together than if they were reading the lines off the script. "Well I can see that." "Of course you can, I’m not questioning your powers of observation, I’m merely remarking upon the paradox of asking a silver man who he is." They were getting very confused and Shawn and Emily continued to smile at each other. "Oh, right."
They continued to play with the businessmen minds. "But on this most auspicious of nights, permit me then, in lieu of the more commonplace sobriquet, to suggest the character of this dramatis persona. Voila! In view humble vaudevillian veteran, cast vicariously as both victim and villain by the vicissitudes of fate. This visage, no mere veneer of vanity, is a vestige of the “vox populi” now vacant, vanished. However, this valorous visitation of a bygone vexation stands vivified, and has vowed to vanquish these venal and virulent vermin, van guarding vice and vouchsafing the violently vicious and voracious violation of volition. The only verdict is vengeance; a vendetta, held as a votive not in vain, for the value and veracity of such shall one day vindicate the vigilant and the virtuous. Verily this vichyssoise of verbiage veers most verbose, so let me simply add that it’s my very good honor to meet you all and you may call me Streak." By now the mobster, including the restaurant owners were looking back and forth between each other. Businessmen looked at businessmen and restaurant employee looked at restaurant employee. Businessman looked at restaurant employee and vice verse. "What do we got here some kinda wacko here playing bobby?" They couldn't have been playing anymore perfectly into the couples hands.
Shawn thought they were going to continue to confuse the people in the building; however, he was wrong. Emily had had her fun with them and was now bored. She wanted to get this over with so that they could return to her body and curl up for the night in the warmth of there apartment. The killing was quick and seemed to be easier than expected. They didn't even see it coming. The men were still trying to figure out what he had just said as he formed knives in his hands and went to work killing all the people closest to him. The rest went down just as easily and pretty soon all were dead. Shawn didn't protest this killing as much as he did the first one as they flew back to their apartment. It wasn't that he was getting used to the killing. He was past that, having grown up killing people to survive everything that was thrown at him when he was younger living at the mansion. After Streak cleaned up her mess they headed back to the apartment, where as to be expected, Emily's body was still lying on the couch sleeping peacefully. Shawn relaxed for a bit and Emily stirred on the couch. It seemed like when they were near each other she was better than when he'd just walked into the apartment.
