Description of ability:Victoria can disintegrate and coalesce. At the current point, it is completely involuntary and is as a result of a shock, surprise or physical impact. The consequence is that even high velocity solid objects will not harm her. If she hears the sound of a shot before it hits her (i.e. a subsonic round), she will have completely disintegrated by the time it arrives and will take no damage. A hypersonic round will cause her to take some damage as the disintegration will only start to occur as the shock wave ahead of the round hits her.
As the ability will progress in two directions:- Victoria will be able to carry more and more complex items with her when she disintegrates. It will start with underwear and progress to the rest of her clothes, her handbag and contents and will ultimately allow her to disintegrate and reintegrate all that she carries and in time potentially another person as long as she is embracing the person at the time.
- Victoria will be able to move, trans-locating further and further. It will start with minor movement, a few inches becoming a few feet. She will also be able to flow through small gaps and reintegrate on the far side.
Cons (weaknesses) of ability:- Involuntary – Victoria literally goes to pieces if startled or overly anxious.
- Can only stay disintegrated for a short period at the current level of ability
- Cannot think while disintegrated
- At her current state of ability, nothing she is wearing or carrying disintegrates with her. When she reintegrates she is naked and devoid of possessions. However they will be within arm's reach unless she has been blown away from where she disintegrated. She won't get dispersed though a strong wind will make it take longer for her to coalesce and will put her further away from her possessions.
Fighting style: None
History:Victoria was born in Castine, Maine to Eileen and Mark Llewllyn. Lower middle class in income, Mark struggled to provide for his wife and daughter in a material sense but more than made up for it in other ways being an attentive and loving father and husband. Although they tried their best not to spoil Victoria, being an only child and circumstances preventing Eileen and Mark from having any more children they tended to both coddle Victoria and to lavish attention on her.
It was clear from a fairly early age that Victoria was not normal. While she excelled in both drawing and music she did not do so well in other, more traditionally academic pursuits and her curse made physical sports in particular, an impossibility. The curse did not manifest itself immediately, gradually strengthening, but by the time she was nine, Victoria's parents had to take her our of school and Eileen ending up teaching her at home with the assistance of a correspondence school. Contact with others was carefully controlled.
With little money but with a job that did not demand significant extra hours and a daughter that could not be taken out in public on a regular basis, time was something they had. When Victoria was not practicing her drawing or her flute, Victoria spent her time with her parents. Eschewing television, something that Eileen and Mark felt had no place in their home, they helped Victoria with her school work and played games. Chess and Bridge were favourites, though the latter depended on a Fourth being available, something that happened only every other week or so. When they didn't have a Fourth, Ninety-Nine, a game designed specifically for three Bridge players lacking a Fourth was a favourite. Racing Demon, also known as Galloping Patience, was also favoured, though it's sometimes boisterous nature occasionally resulted in Victoria disintegrating. Fortunately the main consequence was losing the hand, though as she got older and puberty struck she became more self-conscious and that particular card game faded from popularity.
It seemed likely that Victoria would remain living with her parents for the rest of her life but their death when struck by a drunk driver. With no income and with too much attention focused on her, the girl felt she no option but to leave Castine and head for a big city. New York, always an obvious choice beckoned and Victoria gave in. Catching an overnight bus, Victoria travelled to Manhattan where she found lodging in a cheap boarding house and employment as a shop assistant in a clothing store. That was a couple of weeks ago and so far, things have been going okay; she hasn't disintegrated, except once in the privacy of her own room when someone slammed a door close by.
It will be the first day at the store and things will not be going well.
However, matters will take a turn for the better? when she has a chance encounter with Trista Evans (I have discussed this with Trista's player).
Sample RP: The sudden silence, a consequence of the ancient diesel engine stuttering to a stop, was a blessed relief. The journey had seemed interminable as the bus, surely half a century past its prime, had crawled its way along the slower roads. The modest hills and bends had resulted in frequent gear changes and either the clutch was in need of serious attention or the driver had got his license out of a cereal packet, the bus lurching and shuddering each time. There was a good chance the gearbox lacked synchromesh on any of its gears though whether that was an original feature or through years of abuse was a matter open for question.
Victoria had kept to herself, shrinking into her seat and doing her best to avoid attention, watching the landscape, the houses, the towns sliding past and trying not to wonder what the future might hold. It was hard and more than once she felt the bands of anxiety tighten around her chest. It wouldn't have taken much for her to go to pieces and, on a crowded bus, such an event would have not gone unnoticed. Victoria hugged her arms tightly to herself and tried to keep herself together. She tried listening to music on her iPod for while but the bus was too noisy and the dynamic range of the music she preferred was too great, alternating between inaudible and blowing her eardrums apart. For a little while she tried to use her laptop, an HP2134, which while diminutive was nonetheless a real computer but the bus jolted too much. Sighing she put it away and tried to doze.
The journey time, using the major roads was a little short of nine hours. The scheduled time, a consequence of the numerous stops, was thirteen but it had taken eighteen hours and forty minutes, though two of those hours were caused by the bus refusing to start after a scheduled stop. They had spent a couple of hours tinkering with the engine, sometimes quietly, sometimes banging and crashing, usually without warning. In desperation Victoria found a quiet place away from the bus and ended up nearly missing it, rushing back in a panic when she heard the engine finally start again, arriving at the bus just as the driver was about to shut the door.
New York, when the bus finally crawled it's way into the maze of streets seemed both more, and less, impressive than the girl had imagined. It was overcast, a slight drizzle falling and the clouds threatened heavier rain, making the city seem dark and dreary. The tall buildings seemed to crowd in on the bus.
'What am I doing here?' she wondered.
Victoria waited until almost everyone else was off the bus before finally getting out of her seat. Having stepped down out of the ancient vehicle and retrieved her small, battered suitcase she looked around and the buildings seemed to crowd in even more. The sky was a distant scrap of grey, or at least it seemed to a young woman who had not seen a building taller than four floors. She looked around in bewilderment, trying to get her bearings while she searched her pockets for the directions to the boarding house she had arranged to stay in.

As you can see I am struggling to assign all the 50 points. Perhaps I can hold them in abeyance and assign them as Victoria starts to develop her ability. Victoria is never likely to be particularly strong unless she discovers another ability.
