The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

She frowned. There wasn't much else she could do. She was hungry and tired, but she figured she was more tired... and empty. She was alone again. Panic fluttered in her chest. She was alone and he was going off to murder people. What was she supposed to do just... she could only follow him so far. Had he been playing along so that he could ditch her here with the good guys all along?
He had said something about being back in the morning, hadn't he? She shifted nervously. Hadn't he?
"I think I'm about to pass out..." She commented in the direction of the floor. "Can I have a room, please?"
"I'm not hungry nor am I tired. I think I will sit outside for a while and get some fresh air. If you still want to give me a room then I will find one in the morning."
Neena nodded, though Torqueos may have left too quickly to see. Despite her amusement at his attitude, she could see, and respect, that he needed a bit of time to himself. Xavier's School wasn't right for everyone, and she couldn't expect it to be. As much as she shared Xavier's views, that mutants and humans should treat each other as equals, they couldn't force that view on everyone. She could argue and debate the issue until the sun ceased to set, but not force it. No more than she could force someone to not be prejudice toward dark-skinned people.
She blinked and squinted slightly, watching his progress back toward the gates, then veering off toward the wall.
"I think I'm about to pass out.... Can I have a room, please?"
"Oh! Sorry, kiddo. Let's get you upstairs." She moved to put an arm around Ghost to support her up the stairs. She turned down the right hallway, and picked out the nearest open room. "There no wake up call, and food's always available in the kitchen, so sleep as long as you need to, 'kay?"
She did not tell her not to worry about her friend. Only Ghost would know if it was necessary to worry. Instead she added, "The office phone number is on the phone, so give a ring if you need to find me." She waited a moment, to see if the girl needed anything else, before winking and saying, "G'night kiddo."

No sooner then he got a mile from the mansion he could hear the voices in his head. Telling him to do things. Not to do things. To feel this way. To act that way. He was starting to get a headache. He wondered how telepaths could handle eharing others thoughts. His own were driving him crazy. He started to ingore the thoughts though... but one pushed through.
Go back. Shes asleep. She can't defend herself or turn to air when shes asleep. Take that blade of yours and slide it across her throat. Add her tongue to your collection. If you don't do it yourself... I will next chance I get.
He stopped and just stood there. The coldness of the thought. He couldnt hear the inflections on the voice of course but just how dark and disturbing it was bothered him. He knew that somehow that was a part of him so casually talking about taking her life. And a tear slid down his face.
He just kept thinking he wouldnt. he couldnt do something that cruel. And thats when Goth decided to share what he had done when seperated from him. The images. The cruelty of it dropped him to his knees. He sat there rocking on his legs. Vile kept rising in his throat as he sat there. Finally it came up and he couldnt stop. He just emptied his stomache content onto the ground.
That was someones brother... father... son. That could have been the only way a family was making it from day to day. He might have completely just starved a child. A son or daughter could very well never see their father again. Tears streaked down his face.
That isn't all I will do. There will be more. Nothing can stop me. Only you can but in time... you will become as twisted as I. You can't stop it. Noone can stop me.
He was sobbing and knew he couldnt talk right now. He wasnt sure if he needed to. But he thought to himself anyway. No I won't. I can't be like that. No sane person can.
News Flash! You aren't SANE. Your sittin here talking to yourself nut job. We are you. You are us. Part of you is already that dark and twisted kid. And I plan on helping you push even farther. The first and the biggest step... go back... take her life. Itll be fun!
I cant... I wont do that. I... Shes my friend. The only one Ive ever had. I couldn't hurt her. She already means to much to me.
DONT BE SO BLOODY SOFT YOU IDIOT. You just met her. Its not like your gettin in her pants. Only reason she agreed to a date with your pathetic arse is because she wants you there... so you can be watched. So you can be stopped. Go back. Show them you can't be! Prove to them to everyone. I mean come bloody on. That woman told you you were self centered! And the other. Like everyone else. She within 20 minutes started on your wings like everyone. They don't bloody care about you or your feelings. They just dont want innocent lives taken.
I dont care why she does what she does. As long as I can be close to her... no. As long as I can protect her... it doesnt matter.
You protect her? You can't even protect yourself. Who in the bloody hell do you think kept your arse alive all those years. All those times you should have died who do you think fought for you. Fed you. You should have died years agos in those mountains but NO I have kept you alive. I have done everything for you. Now do this one thing for me! DO IT!
He felt his lugns burning as the deep bass voice of his lifted into the air, "NOOOOO. You cant force me to do anything. You can't make me do something I dont want to!"
A simple reply. Two words shook him to his foundation. Two little words caused fear to streak through him, "Wanna bet?"
He felt himself standing then. He hadn't tried to get up he just was. He was even walking back towards the mansion. His right hand grabbed the kinfe from his pocket and he looked into the cold metal. He could see himself. Could see his eyes. There was a dark glint in them that scared him. What was happening! He wasn't wanting to do this.
It took everything he had but he managed to stop moving. He heard a deep and fierce growl in his head and his right leg started to shake as if it wanted to move forward.
YOU CANT STOP ME Y OU IDIOT! Stop resisting! Just go with it.
You cant force the boy to do anything he doesnt want to do Goth. Its his life. Only he can chose to do the things you want him to do. You can influence but you can not force. Leave him alone Goth.
STAY OUT OF THIS!
Do not make me stop you myself Goth. I can and I will.
Just try i...
The words never had to be finished. Otieno felt his head start to split. He dropped to his knees and started to scream as he felt the pain of the splitting. Why. He wasnt in danger. It only happened when he was in danger. Why would they be splitting now. It didn't make much sense at all.
Then the world went black as his body slumped forward. The world around him would still ehar his screaming though he was out could. He wasnt knocked out technically. The pain was just so unbearable he couldnt register anything else and it was so intense that his brain couldnt even register how bad it was. That and his brains was splitting apart. His whole body was shaking and his from was being ripped into two. The clothes surround him shreded as the two forms split and pushed the cloth to its limits. His skin tore just as easily as the cloth, as did his bones and muscle.
After what seemed like an age the ugly transformation was done. Two naked angels stood there staring at each other. One with two beautiful wings and one with two decript... sad looking things he called wings.
"You should have just minded your own bloody business Christian. I won't kill you but I will end you butting you rnose in my affairs."
"When it comes to this mans life... his soul... it is my affair. I will not stand by and watch you push him into something he doesnt want. Something that he doesnt need. I won't."
Goth was moving. His right hand snapped up in the predictable attack he always made. Christian shot his hand up to block but was suprised when the attack stopped and leg shot out and hit him in the side. Goth had known he would block like always had known that christian would know what kind of attack Goth would make.
"New tricks eh Goth. They won't be good enough. I hate having to do this. But if you force me... I will stop you... I will put you down."
"Then try it tinkerbell."
Christian felt a tear slide down his own cheek. He had promised never to harm anyone... but this wasnt anyone... it was apart of the greater whole that was himself. If he didnt do something then to much was at stake. He felt himself moving forward. Goths eyes went wide as a fist came up and slammed him under the chin. This was the first he had ever touched Goth. He would normally just let the man wear out as he tried to atack him. But this wasnt one of those times that could let something slide. He had to show Goth he wasnt going to run buck wild and not be placed in check.
"I am the balance to your half of our soul for a reason. You won't do what you want."
Goth didn't say a single thing. Instead he tore forward and sent his fists slamming 1,2,3 right left right towards christian. Christian though just put on hand up an dblocked one, two, all three punches... he even finished with a straight foot into the gut of Goth.
"Goth... just surender. You will not win. Last chance."
Once again Goth just tore ahead. He went wild just singing like crazy. He wasn't fighitng like he normally did. Calm and collected. Christian just smiled. He had pushed Goth to his limit. Goth shook with his hanger as he swung fiercly. Each strike though missed by a good ammount.
Christian just kept dancing back away from each strike. His foot finally found the long branch he had seen on the ground. His foot stepped on one end and it came up into his hand. He smiled at Goth as the mans eyes went wild. They went even wider as the staff like branch came slamming around hittin him first in one side then the other. He was pelted repeatedly until he just crumbled.
Enough was enough. Goth felt himself pulling into Christian. He couldnt keep fighting. The bloody cheater. He had never once even thought about attacking anyone and now for the first time he struck and struck hard. Bloody cheater. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
It was hours later when he woke up. The sun still hadnt shown through yet. Otieno slowly stood up. He was completely naked. He frowned and wrapped his wings about himself hiding his nakedness. He turned and knew then he had to find out if Ghost was alright. He hadnt a clue if Goth had hurt her and both were strangely silent. He ran all the way back to the gate. He thought about hitting the buzzer but decided to screw that. He was naked an dthis wouldnt look very good. He went back to where he had lept over the wall and climbed over it once again. When he hit the ground this time he just rolled straight to his feet and walked towards the door.
He realized he didnt know where in this huge place she would be. He edged open the door and looked around. Then he haerd himself call out lightly.
"Hello? Is anyone here? Erm anyone mind helping someone out?"
She was grateful for the support Neena lent her. She may not have needed it physically, but emotionally she was held together by threads.
She nodded to Neena when she offered to take her leave - Ghost didn't have a thing except what was on her person, but she probably would have been too tired to change into PJs anyway.
She glanced at the bed with disdain. It made her feel dirty and guilty and she just couldn't understand herself at the moment. Instead she went to the window. There was a lovely window seat that looked uncomfortable enough for her to sleep on. She fumbled with the lock on the window and finally settled for pushing it open halfway.
Ghost curled up awkwardly in the small space, partially spilling her arms out of the window. The natural breeze that blew in tousled her dirty hair much like her mother had when she was a kid. Thankfully she didn't have time to let her mind wander, as soon as she lay still she slipped into a deep dreamless state of sleep. Her cheeks were moist with tears that spilled out from her unconscious mind.

Nathan was walking back to his room from walking Raven Fire to her room. He still could not believe what had happened this night. He met the most beautiful woman he had ever seen. He even managed to kiss her and ask her out on a date. And she said yes! AND SHE KISSED HIM BACK! Words could not begin to describe how good he felt at the moment.
While walking he noticed a bedroom door was cracked open facing his direction. A thin stream of light also shone through the crack. He was about to walk past it undisturbed when he thought he heard a noise. It almost sounded like a sob.
Now that he was intrigued Nathan could not keep on walking. He carefully opened the door a little bit farther and poked his head inside to investigate. He saw a woman with short white hair sitting awkwardly on the window sill while the window was half open. He could see the tears running down her cheek.
The sob must have come from her. He didn't know how he should proceed. The woman looked as if she was asleep and if she was that tired that she was sleeping on the window then Nathan had a thought of leaving her alone. But being raised to always be curteous and helping to women he couldn't walk away.
He walked over to her and gently picked her up in his arms. Similar to the way a groom carries a bride and as gently as he could set her down on the bed. When he did this he didn't think of how she would react to him since he was still a stranger to her.
Under normal circumstances she was a light sleeper. Nothing that had happened recently had been even remotely normal for her. She weighed less than she looked so carrying her was a simple task, though her head rolled slightly to the side exposing the long, uninterrupted line of her neck. The movement of her head made her realize that she was ... moving.
Her mind wasn't entirely ready to wake up, but she opened her eyes and tried to make sense of what was actually going on.
Goth had her! She shrieked suddenly and flailed her arms and legs, squeezing her eyes shut tight. "GET OFF ME YOU PERVERT!" She would fight him off, she wasn't the strongest ever but she was feisty.

OOC: Is this how you treat the nice "normal" winged boys you meet? lol
IC: The girl suddenly woke up from her sleep. She began to yell immediately and flailed her arms and legs. "GET OFF ME YOU PERVERT!"
Nathan did as she asked. He did not come away unscathed though. Her limbs had connected with his body several times before he could step away from her. Not completely understanding the whole outburst or where it had come from in the first place. He backed away to the edge of the room so that he could show her that he had meant no harm and at least try to explain himself if she gave him the chance.

All thoughts of him being naked vanished from his tired mind. He had heard the unmistakable voice of Ghost. She sounded like she was in trouble but it only lasted a second. He ducked down beside the house and took off int he direction he had heard it come from. He knew that there was no way she was outside with how tired she had been so that left only that whatever room she was in there was a window and it was open. He could also tell that with how lightly it had actually been that the window was either more than half closed or she was farther away then he hoped. As he ran he either noticed windows pretty much fully open or fully closed. The first window he seen that was more than a little closed he stopped at. It was on the second floor. He looked around and grumbled. It was a damn good thing he had been raised around mountains and could climb alot of strange things.
HIs fingers stung as he for the third time this night used them to scale a wall that had virtually no hand holds. All it took was the small crevice between each brick though. As soon as his hands reached the window he pulled as hard as he could with one hand and pulled the window open. Then he put both hands on the sill and coiled his feet under him. He pushe dout as hard as he could as he held onto the sill. His feet came up over his head and he let go of the sill. He landed with his knees an dhis right hand on the ground and his wings wrapped around him. His eyes flashed up hoping to see Ghost... hoping to see a safe and sound Ghost.
He backed away. That was her first indication that it wasn't Goth. It was as if the gears in her mind had skipped a few teeth, but now the cogs had caught she was able to think properly. She looked at the blondish man standing in front of her bed. He was trying to look non-threatening. He had no wings. She blinked several times trying to reconcile what she thought was happening and what was actually happening.
She opened her mouth to speak but her window was suddenly pulled open. She craned her neck to see, reaching to put her arm on the bed to support her balance - except that the bed didn't extend in the direction in which she was reaching.
With a loud *whump* she tumbled to the floor. And suddenly Otieno was actually there in her room. She hastily shut her eyes, though the damage was done - Her cheeks were a brilliant shade of bright red. She had looked up and seen his full glory.
"Uhh... hi." She scrambled awkwardly off of the floor. Hi was the best thing she could think to say in her current situation.

Her confusion was understandable. She was sleeping and a stranger walked right in and picked her up. She eventually stopped thrashing and stared at him in bewilderment. Probably, wondering who he was.
It was Nathan's turn to be confused when a man in his early twenties came through the half opened window. He had two wings covering his body. One white and pure. The other black and deformed. The way that the wings hid his form suggested to Nathan that he didn't have any other covering for his body.
He heard the girl say "hi" so he responded accordingly.
"Hello. I'm Seraph." He liked that name more everytime he heard it. He was sure it had something to do with the fact that Raven Fire had called him that.

He stayed crouched down like that a minute before he shifted hsi wings to make sure he was covered before he stood. Once he was sure he would stay covered he stood up. His eyes shot from her to him. An eye brow lifted to her as he watched her sitting on the floor. He had heard the thump as he landed and wasnt sure how she got there. His eyes shot to the man standing there then. Ghost might recognize that Goth wasn't there but noone else would be able to tell it was just Otieno with how his eyes bore straight through the man. His body shook with just a pinch more than a little bit of anger. His voice quivered lightly as he spoke softly to Ghost.
"Are you... alright? I heard you scream and came at once."
The whole time he spoke he never once took his eyes off the stranger. He knew this place was supposed to be safe for mutants but that didn't mean that someone couldn't get in here and try to harm someone.
"I know you can take care of yourself... but you might have been gotten while sleeping and I feared..."
He didn't know how to say he had split again... he didn't know what had happened when he split. All he knew was both voices were oftely silent in his head. He feared he had hurt someone. The only one he could think of that would keep them both silence was her.
A quick glance to her told him she wasn't hurt. Or atleast she didn't look it although her face was rather red. His stare went immediatly back to him. His jaw clenched tightly as he stood there. He was ready to pounce. Ready to do things that Goth would find a bit more then a little disturbing... if the man had hurt her. He would make Goth proud... and in the end make himself more disgusted with himself..
Otieno was pissed. She could hear it in his words, though the words themselves were kind. "Are you... alright? I heard you scream and came at once."
"I - I didn't... I mean, I thought that..." If possible her cheeks got even redder. How was she supposed to tell him that she thought his bad half had been man handling her? She looked between the two men, though Otieno never once looked at her.
"I know you can take care of yourself... but you might have been gotten while sleeping and I feared..."
She wasn't sure if he had meant to say more, but she didn't want anyone to beat anyone up. Seraph was a mutant if he lived here. He could probably take care of himself too. She stood hastily, but all the blood was pooled at her head and she was dizzy.
"Seraph." Her voice was a soft alto. She looked calmly at the currently un-winged man. "My... I" She swallowed this was harder than it should be. "If I may be so bold as to ask, would... would it be possible for you to find some clothes for my friend here?" She felt the moisture on her cheeks and wiped at her face hastily before turning to Otieno. Looking at his face made her turn all different shade of red again.
"I'm fine." She spoke mostly to Otieno but she wanted Seraph to know she was ok too. She found a spot on the wall to look at, and felt her way to sit again on the bed.

The newcomer hadn't taken his eyes off of Nathan that he could tell. The woman had said that she was fine and Nathan believed her. The girl asked for some clothes for her friend. He was happy to help but it did not sit well with him leaving behind a naked man with a pretty woman. No, that did not sit well at all. He imagined that the man did not want Nathan out of his sight either. "Ok, let's go get you some clothes." He waited for the man to walk out of the room ahead of him.
Nathan took the man to his room. It was not far. He knew he didn't have much in the way of clothes but he had something at least. There was no conversation between the two of them during the journey. He let the man borrow a pair of jeans and a t-shirt. When they were done there they headed back to the room with the woman in it.
They walked through the bedroom door and saw the woman exactly the way they had left her.

-He accepted the jeans when they were handed to him but let the man keep the shirt. He didnt want to rip a hole in it so that he could put his wings into it. He followed the man back to the room and looked at Ghost. A slight smiling touchin his face. He had been so afraid that he had hurt her that it was a relief just to see her sitting there. He walked over to the side of her bed and bent down onto his knees so he could look her in the face.
"Its good to see you safe."
He really didn't know what else to say besides that. He stood back up and moved over to a wall and turn and sat down. He was sitting so he could talk to Ghost and look at her but so he could also see the other man the whole time. He was also sitting so he could quickly get up if the man became some kind of threat towards Ghost.
"I am Torqueos Angelus by the way. Sorry for my bare entrance. I was previously occupied with two men and the didn't let me keep my clothes. Tore em right off of me. After I got ahold of the situation I came straight back here without having a chance to stop and get any clothes."
He knew how it sounded but he wasn't goig to tell this man everything and he knew Ghost would know what he ment. Thats all that mattered to him. He had feared that Goth had gotten to her and had rushed back.
"did you get a good view though?", his voice was soft and kind and for the first time in a while his eyes shone as if he was at peace. He wished he could feel like this forever. he knew that eventually whatever was keeping the two silent would end and they would once again be pushing into his thoughts. Into his mind.
She bit her lip. She knew exactly what he was talking about... in theory. And she decided that the best way to avoid embarrassment about what she had viewed was to ignore Otieno's question entirely. She again directed her attention toward Seraph as she clambered off the bed and stood.
"I'm not sure why you were in the room..." She began cautiously, she must've looked like a wreck. "But I'm sorry for hitting you." She smiled apologetically and offered her hand to him. "My name is Ghost. Oti-Torqueo and I were traveling together. So please forgive his... protectiveness. We are new here." She meant for Otieno to catch the we... she wasn't entirely happy with him leaving, but if he had needed to split perhaps it was better for him to fight with himself elsewhere. The mansion was obviously still under construction- it would be a shame to poke holes in the freshly built walls.
She felt a little guilty for all the double speak going on around Seraph, but such was the life of a mutant. "It's nice to meet you, Seraph."
