The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Hades walked into the vehicle bay and walked over to a cordoned off corner that was cordoned off with an elaborate security system. He walked to the wall and his fingers seemed to dance in a complicated sequence over the wall a section slid back, which he entered. Soon he returned wheeling a motorbike a doorway which was sealed off with metal shutters marked “Private”. He waved his hand at it and it opened to reveal a fully stocked service pit. He wheeled the bike in and promptly set to work on it. Since it was summer and he was in a good mood he left the door to the pit open, besides he was not working on anything sensitive.
The bike he was working on was one of his modified bikes, it was slim, sleek, smooth, streamlined. Hades set about lovingly taking it apart and cleaning each part.

Hades was not working on his bike alone for long. Not too long after Hades had placed the bike on a holder and was in the process of dissembling it a deep voice sounded. “Mind if I also work on my bike here as well?”
~“Sure.”
“Cool, be right back.”
Soon Dragon King was back wheeling his bike into the spacious service pit. Their bikes could not have been more dissimilar, Hade’s bike was streamlined for speed and agility, Dragon King’s bike was also built for power and speed, but raw power. Soon they were working away and chatting about bikes and other random stuff.
Slade returned to the vehicle bay, it had been a few days now and he was getting the hang of the place. On entering he saw two men working on a pair of what looked like top of the range motor cycles. They were in a part of the vehicle bay Slade had not yet been able to access. Slade sighed, how was he expected to do his job if people were going to DIY everything in private areas that Slade didn't even know about let alone be able to access.
Folding his arms he called over to them, his head cocked. "You know if you let me look at those I might be able to soup them up for you..." Slade was making the judgement on face value, he could tell they were already above normal efficiency but then again whoever had upgraded them hadn't had Slade and the resources offered by mr Antonescu. "So how come people around here have secret little pockets in my workspace that I can't get to? You must be pretty important, or does everybody get the cool secret chambers here?" Slade smiled, he hoped they would click into the fact that he was joking.

Hades smiled slightly as he saw the new mechanic. “Ah you must be Slade, the new chief mechanic. And yes if you have any ideas on how to make a secondary hydrodynamic motor more efficient when out of water I would love some suggestions.”
“Seriously I am one of the resident weapons and vehicles inventors and he (gesturing at Dragon King) specializes in modifying and refining designs and in armour and materials. That is why I get a private work space, as not all who come here should be privy to all the secrets of all vehicles I build for various purposes.”
Hades said as he calmly removed what looked like a miniature chain gun with associated ammunition out of what before looked like a smooth part of the chassis. Various bits and pieces of meaning looking machinery followed, finally the bare bike was revealed, the frame wheels and chassis looked like a cross between a Dragster and Kawasaki ZZ-R1400, however there were some interesting looking components…
“However if you want to come over a see if you can do anything with the engines you are more than welcome.” Said Hades bringing up the specs of the bike on a holo screen (think Ironman)
ooc - im assuming you can toy with the schematics on the interface like in iron man for this.
ic - Slade blinked, either this guy was trying real hard to be cool or he didn't approve of jokes... As for souping up this bike a challenge like this was what Slade lived for. "Well kudos to you man for gettin the private quarters, i have still to be told exactly what i have and don't have access to so when I do I'll inform you of how much I can do." Slade paused, his attention returning to the schematic interface. "Now, onto your bike. Some things will take more time than others and please don't tell me you let the schematic design the most efficient design capability because I assure you computers fail at life. If I may I'd like to have a blast at that schematic?" Slade hoped they'd let him play with the bike, that thing was gorgeous!
ooc - here's a redo of the deleted post
ic - Slade almost pounced on the schematics, his forehead pulling over his eyes into what looked like goggles he plunged his hands into the designs. With a flurry of movement he began doing what he did best: modifying and improving. His actions were cut apart by short murmurs of concentration. "Twist that slightly... that's junk... ooh not seen this before..."
he paused, having disassembled and refitted the relevant schematic parts. His eyes flitted quickly from one end to the other before his hands rekindled thier activity, now reforming the bike and refitting the parts. The entire process took about five to ten minutes, this was just routine fun for Slade. "Ok so I boosted the control by 1 percent and the speed by 1.5 percent, however fuel efficiency is down by a half percent... If you give me some more time I can sort that out and probably give it a 5 to 10 percent increase overall. Nice parts by the way, they all yours?"
His goggles retracted back to reform his forehead and he folded his arms once more. He hoped he could do more work on this guy's machines, they so far had been pretty impressive.

Hades nodded, his mouth split into a slight grin. “Not bad, I like it, and yes if you have more time feel free to modify it further. Well done.”
It was his turn to move over to the display, murmuring a quick “Excuse me.” He set to work.
“Now with that new configuration, let me see how I can afford to modify the casing.” Hades said as he quickly flicked through the new schematics his brain absorbing the new changes to the bike and processing them at a frightening speed. His fingers started to dance over the outer casing and some components of the bike, he also began to explain about the bike as he went.
“I designed this bike for costal operation, one of the components that you have never seen before is this,” as he said that the component seemed to be projected far above the other schematics, do a cut-out view and then return into the flurry and blur of the display. “That is actually a new hydrodynamic fluid propulsion system, it uses the batteries that you see lining the chassis either side, which incidentally act as ballast when it is under/in the water, to strip free electrons from seawater, that starts off a reaction which both powers the continual stripping of free electrons and also forces water through the directional vector nozzles at the rear of the bike.”
“This bike is able to be launched off a ship or out of a torpedo tube of a submarine and be able to propel the rider underwater or on the surface, hence the retractable panels that will shield the rider and create a more streamlined and aerodynamic profile. The bike then can propel itself onto beaches or up a cliff by means of built in grapple hook and launcher. Now that you have changed the structure slightly I also need to modify the ballast distribution and aerodynamics shape to account for that…. There!”
Hades pressed a button and readouts showed the simulated performance of before and after. “I write the simulation program to test my designs. But it appears as if the requirements mean I have to lessen the armour of the vehicle.”
He turned to Dragon King, “DK that is your area, think you can help?”
ooc - i've had another go at the post, balls in your court.
ic - Slade watched the guy closely as he reworked the schematics. this man worked fast, and seemed to know what he was doing, although Slade might not have done it in exactly the same way... different people different rules that was what Slade had learnt. He found the concept interesting enough, although if this was just coastal he wanted to see the inland equipment! He had a few ideas brimming about the armour issue but he kept silent and looked to this "DK", his arms still patiently folded. He wanted to know just what this guy had to offer...
unfortunately Slade realised he had other places to be. Coughing he murmured, "Sorry I have other works to be getting on with. If you need me you now where I am." Turning he strode from them, heading back to his workplace. "And I'll look inot that bike for you." He called over his shoulder as he left. These two seemed alright, being to first two men he had held a social conversation with here he felt confident that this job would work out for him just fine.
