The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

The response from the girl in purple made Syn smile. There weren't too many people who commented her. Then again, this girl didn't know Syn...advantage Syn... On the other hand this new girl did appear to have a good sense of style. At least in Syn's eyes she did. "What's your name? I haven't seen you here before."
While sitting down one of the guys spoke up. He had a grunge/tough guy look going on. What caught the black and red haired girls attention were the statements that almost literally fell out of his mouth. He said her wish is his command and complimented her looks. Funny thing was she didn't even have to use her power on him. One so willing to do her bidding might be worth getting to know. "Don't worry I'll keep that in mind." Syn winked and smiled to the guy.
Turning her attention to Calley she listened to his remarks about eating puppies or looking for salt. Inwardly she laughed while on the outside only a slight smirk was shown. Calley was working on getting on her nerve, but she would keep a calm and cold disposition. "Good afternoon to you too Calley. I'm sure Isabel will be thrilled that you're hitting on another girl. Now as for your comment about eating puppies...they aren't on my menu of things to eat."
Onyx felt strange as she made scence of the conversation. This was a total first to her but even Onyxanna Moon could tell when someone was crushing on someone, and this was maybe the case for Geo as he certainly wasn't acting so tough and matcho around the new girl that had arrived who's name was Syn. Yet again, he had called her, Onyx, beautifull, so he liked crazy dark girls then.
''Onyx, and I'm new actually, since like two hours ago.'' she said looking down at her pocket watch which was shaped like a golden skull with purple and black gems around it. Then the conversation turned to Calley and Syn, Onyx figured that Calley wasn't too fond of Syn, which meant that they knew each other from a past reunion which Onyx thought wasn't so pretty.
She ate a french fry, nt to be to much in the picture of their small arguement that might end up bigger than what she'd hoped. Well, a fight wouldn't be bad as Onyx always liked viewing Mutants fight, which she had seen about six months earlier in the middle of Japan.
Geo listened intently as the new arrival spoke, Syn her name was, and she still seemed so familiar to him. He skook his head clear of the strange light headed feeling. He quickly made his left arm turn to it's large rock state and crushed the final can for Calley. "There you go man, have fun." He said the last part with a bit of a laugh in his voice, he had no idea what the kids powers were, come to think of it, he had no idea what anyone at the tables powers were but here he was showing them off like there was no tommorow. His arm shrunk again and he he took a bite of one of his cheeseburgers then swallowing it.
Noticing that Calley and Syn were having a mini-convo he turned to the girl who finally revealed herself as Onyx. "Two hours ago," Geo said a bit of suprise in his voice. "So you've been out in the thick of it all, i gotta say i'm jealous, i would kill for a chance to smack around some humans right now." He found himself with a bit of a wicked grin which he quickly disposed of. He was still bitter about being forced to stay in this place, and quite litterally forced. He had no acess to his car which was driving him crazy, and this place was guarded like Fort Knox so there was no sneaking out.

Dragon King who was new to the labs went into the canteen to grab some lunch, since he got back and caught up with Hades he had not been out much, so he just gathered his try of food and went to a empty table and sat and began to eat, he noticed that there was a guy and a girl sitting at the table but they were in some kind of conversation so he decided not to be impolite.

Calley
((ooc: So new posting order is Syn, Onyx, Geo, Dragon King, Calley, correct?))
~ "There you go man, have fun."
"Heh!" Calley grinned, forgetting about Syn and her draining aura of Anti-Awesome for the brief moment it took him to grab that third shiny aluminum ball. Naturally, he began trying to juggle them. Equally naturally, this soon led to balls being dropped on the table, only to be scooped up on the rebound. He'd always wanted to learn to juggle. It was one of those terribly useful life-skills that all entrepreneuing young men should acquire.
~ ''Onyx, and I'm new actually, since like two hours ago.''
His gaze switched from his failed attempts at getting all three balls into the air, to the woman across from him. His eyebrows lifted in surprise. Two hours? That was new. That was definitely new. He knew she was new, because he knew just about everyone here. But that, friends, was new new. "Woah. Welcome, I guess." He said. "Still feeling a little disoriented? Get lost in our labyrinth halls yet? Discover the torture room down hallway 2-A? If a guy named Bond asks you for help, you're supposed to just shut the door again. Just sayin'."
~ "Two hours ago. So you've been out in the thick of it all, i gotta say i'm jealous, i would kill for a chance to smack around some humans right now."
Calley just rolled his eyes at that one. The whole violence thing? Not usually for him. Err, except when it served a purpose. A really good purpose. Only one purpose came to mind, actually, and he wasn't about to think about that in the Labs--too much risk of running into a telepath on Hunter's pay roll. All of this glancing away and eye rolling wasn't the best for his juggling. The balls scattered across the table; with quick darts of his hands and a half-lunge, he got them back, and started up again.
Just in time to remember that the Mistress of Dank Places and Crawling Things had joined them. Right. And she was smirking--well wasn't that just the sweetest thing, like finding half of a centipede in your half-eaten sandwich.
~ "Good afternoon to you too Calley. I'm sure Isabel will be thrilled that you're hitting on another girl. Now as for your comment about eating puppies...they aren't on my menu of things to eat."
"Hitting on? I am not hitting on you." Calley let his supreme revulsion at the mere thought of that shine through clearly on his face. As to the minor fact that she probably meant he was hitting on Onyx... honestly, that didn't even cross his mind. He wasn't. He was just talking, like he usually did. "The puppy question was legitimate. Last I checked, P.E.T.A. was passing around a petition against you. Don't tell me you've moved on to kittens." Somehow, he'd lost his fear of the woman. It probably had something to do with all of the mouthing off he'd been progressively doing with her in the past, and how little she'd physically done to shut him up. She hadn't even done much verbally. Honestly, he was starting to wonder what everyone else saw in her. That wondering definitely didn't help his attitude.
A new guy had joined them at their table. A big, rather impressive-looking new guy. Lots of inches to his height. Lots of weight that wasn't flab. Lots of not-even-saying-hello. Now that was intimidating. Calley edged his seat a little further away as he stared at the guy, and left it at that. He wasn't going to be the first to talk to Tall Dark and Beat-Down, that was for sure.
Onyx grinned as Calley gave her a welcome, ''Yeah, Well The dude only brought me here, I don't even know where i'm sleeping. If I even do sleep around here. Do we?'' swhe asked half expecting a no answer, this place was weird and trust me Onyxanna had seen weird. She pretty much ignored the rest of the conversation as it wasn't exactly directed at her, until Geo started making conversation, with her alone.
''Yeah, Well if you want to know something, in the outside, it isn't so awesome. It's litterally deserted with a lot of burnt down houses which I guess are from Mutant Owners. But really, if your a Mutant robots will be after you like crazy.'' she said in a half whisper. Onyx turned back, facing the rest of the group and eating a few bites of her fries.
She was surprised as a creak of a seat on the far side of the table grabed everyone's attention. He was a rather tall, built man who didn't look to friendly, Onyx glared sideways at him, he wasn't the kind to talk by the looks of it but Onyx; who was beginning to want as many friends as possible and less enemies, smiled at him and said: ''Dude, want to eat with us? You look like a loner on your own.'' she said.
The comments from Calley caused Syn to shake her head and roll her eyes. "I wasn't refering to you hitting on me and as for eating puppies or kittens...that's not something I do. However, I am on the hunt for a shapeshifting creature. Not that I'm going to eat it mind you. I would like to see it pounded to a bloddy pulp though."
Turning to Onyx the girl was very new to the labs. Even though two hours is a long time in most cases it was a short time in the labs considering how long most of the rest of the occupants have been here. "So where are you from Onyx? I like your name by the way."
Syn noticed the guy turn his arm into rock and crush a can. I wonder what else he can do thought Syn. She picked up him looking her over extensively. His initial statements to her were still floating in her mind. If he was that open about wanting to do things for her then perhaps she would let him do things for her.

''Dude, want to eat with us? You look like a loner on your own.'' she said “I would not mind at all, thanks. Im DK by the way.” Dragon King said as he moved over to their table. “So what’s up?”
(OCC: sorry for the rather lame conversation but have exams right now)
Geo shook his head as Onyx spoke about what the outside world was like now that they were here. "You see thats why i wanna get out there. They can't just push us around like we're nothing, and there's noone out there who can smack them around, most of us are either in here or in the camps, and if there is anyone out there who could, they're too scared to do nothing." Geo was a bit heated, he got that way alot on the subject given recent events. But he quickly shook it off and started glancing round the table. He heard Calley and the black haired beauty talking, "Dude i think she means you and our purple haired friend" He said as the new comer was glancing around. He then saw her talk to a man who had been wandering around and then introduced himself as DK...Dk, like the big monkey. Geo and to hold back a laugh.

(OOC: Hope noone minds the resident samurai coming over; if this is set during the camp raid and I shouldn't be here, someone shout at me. And as usual, if I misinterpret someone in Shogun's mind eye, shout at me)
IC: Shogun hated the canteen. Largely because it was full of people. And he hated people. So going to the canteen was not his greatest idea of a good lunch. But he had his reasons. He was working on improving his foresight, and at the same time working at being able to use his foresight on multiple people at once and keep track of all of them. This meant practising on lots of people, and this was the most convenient group of in the labs.
he waslked in, wearing his green kimono, and got a few dirty looks from guards he had used for earlier excercising; he'd made a habit of riding his horse around the grounds, using his spear and seeing how close he could come to killing the guards. He wasn't about to kill any of Antonescu's men, but he didn't have to tell them that.
He noted that Calley and Syn were sitting together, but could feel the emotions between them; he'd keep an eye on them, make sure nothing got out of hand. There were also some new people sitting with them, so Shogun decided to find out more about them. He wanted to keep on with his training though, so as he went to get some food he followed each person's paths, tracing them out in his mind as far as he could. For each person, if he focussed on just them, he could plan a good while ahead of them. but with so many people, it was difficult.
He headed over to the table with Calley, Syn, a boy who'd been around for a while, and some new people. He looked into the girl first; she was very strange. On the surface, she was reserved and dark, but underneath she was a good person with an interesting personality. He supposed that she had learnt to hide herself from people, for whatever reason. He focussed on the other one; this was even stranger. He was almost definately a mutant. He didn't seem... complete. no, that wasn't the right word. He was, changable. But that didn't seem like it was his personality, it was different. Had to be a mutant power.
Shogun took a seat at the table, and began eating. (OOC: I know very little about japanese cuisine, so I'll leave it up to your imagination what he's eating) He wasn't espcially interested in talking to them; he could learn a great deal just from listening. If any other tables had been free, he would have gone and sat down there, but if the place didn't have many people in it then he wouldn't have been interested in coming.

Calley
~ ''Yeah, Well The dude only brought me here, I don't even know where I'm sleeping. If I even do sleep around here. Do we?''
"Umm, yeah." Calley replied, with a nod of his head. He quickly swallowed down a gulp of his milkshake. "Yep, there're guest rooms by the barracks. You can pretty much just pick your own." Personally, Calley slept in the library. It just felt less under the Mondragon thumb, and mildly defiant. Mildly defiant had pretty much been his life these past months. ...It'd be a year, soon. Huh. That... sucked.
~ "I wasn't referring to you hitting on me and as for eating puppies or kittens...that's not something I do."
Uh-huh. Sure it wasn't.
~ "However, I am on the hunt for a shapeshifting creature. Not that I'm going to eat it mind you. I would like to see it pounded to a bloody pulp though."
"A shapeshifting... creature..." Calley parroted, turning the phrase over in his head with glorious obliviousness as he kept up his attempts at juggling. He'd been living and breathing the life of a strictly tiger-shifter for months. It took him a second to realize she was talking about him, and by then, he'd already blurted out: "Hey! What did Ted ever do to you? You leave him alone!" He didn't see fit to retract that statement.
~ “I would not mind at all, thanks. I'm DK by the way. So what’s up?”
He noted the huge guy's name, and scooted to the far edge of his seat as the man slid closer. This table was definitely getting... crowded. One person he didn't know, he could handle, particularly if she was shy. A giant hulking guy he didn't know was not quite as fun. Calley nervously gulped down a few fries.
"Umm, so what's your power?" He asked DK, his habitual smile in full force. "It's not, umm, going all Hulk or anything, is it?"
Shogun came as a welcome sight, even if he didn't have his spiffin' armor on. Calley caught an aluminum ball in one hand, and gave the Japanese man a little wave. "Heya." He crinkled his nose. "Is that... nato? Wow. Just... wow." He'd only heard of the vile food in anime. When the Japanese themselves made fun of it, something was seriously wrong with the food item in question. ((ooc: ))
It wasn't long before two more people joined the gathering. The first was a man Syn had never seen before. He must've just arrived recently she thought. The other Syn recognized from the meeting. The man had stood next to Hunter like he was some kind of personal body guard. He wore a different outfit this time though.
The rock boy's comments had frustration smeered all over them. Syn could tell the guy wanted to do something. Perhaps he might even want to destroy something. Now that was a pleasing thought. "Makes you just wanna break something doesn't it?"
Calley's annoying repetition of Syn only got a rolling of the eyes in response. That is until he named Ted and insisted the girl leave him alone. "Maybe I'll just have a little chat with him anyway."
They're little get together was growing seemingly none stop, first they had the gorgeous girl joining in and then Donkey Kong and now that samuri guy that had come in to train that day that he had fought Zodiac over Deja. This place serously got filled about lunch time. The earthy mutant finished his food and pushed his tray away, he loved this feeling, being surrounded by fellow mutants. Of being with others of his kind and accepted on some levels.
The beautiful girl was talking to him again, apperantly she had caught up on the emotion in his mini speech, though it wasn't much of a feet the way he had poured it on. "Well who's to say i haven't been smashing things up already," He said adding a little wink at the end of his statement. He couldn't help it, the player in him always seemed to get the better of him.

Dragon King paused for a minute, not too sure how to react. Turning to the girl who rolled her eyes and who Hades had told him was the leader of the Order he asked “And why would you like to see a shapeshifting creature pounded to pulp?”
Turning to Calley he replied with a shaking of his head and a warm smile. “No, nothing so dramatic, I can sort of shape shift, that’s why I was surprised when Miss Syn said she wanted to quote ‘Pound one to pulp’. I hope nobody here bears a grudge against shape shifters.”
It was hard to dislike Dragon King, he was warm and kind at heart, and above all in a world where people often put on masks, he was much a genuine person, he expressed what he truly felt, and that showed in his heart warming smile.

Shogun was interested in this group. They were all different, each one unique. They were far more interesting then the guards all eating around them; they were a mixture of discipline, confidence, and fear. The fear was largely stemming from Antonescu, and most of them were so used to it that it seemed to be a part of them, as though they were born to fear the man. But this collection of mutants was much more interesting.
Calley was bubbly and excitable, with an underpinning of fear. And hate, directed at Syn. There was also fear and hate directed at Antonescu, but that was more of a constant thing. Syn herself was playing her usual games; she got a weak minded boy apparently to the stage where he was willing to do anything for her; Shogun took note of exactly how serious he was. (OOC:Shogun knows exactly how far Geo would go for Syn, but I don't)
The two new people were intriguing. The man, called DK, was unlike most other mutants he had met; he was honest. He didn't try to hide himself, or make him appear as someone he wasn't. He just was; Shogun respected that. There was a new girl too; she wasn't as honest. She tried to pass herself off as mopey and lonely, someone who would prefer to be left alone. But really she was like other teenage girls; she wanted friends. She just wasn't sure how much she wanted them; and it muse be hard for a young girl to find friends in a place like this. He spoke to her, "What brought you here? Why aren't you with your family?" He supposed that there may be a reason that she wasn't comfortable sharing, and maybe the question could stir some memories that create an emotional response. Taking that into account, Shogun could have been a little more tactful. But he wasn't especially good with tact.
