The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

She was the wind. Shogun was in his full armour, but that didn't slow her down much. The warhorse kept on going, darting through the grounds of Mondragon labs, dodging through groups of guards. This greatly worried the guards, who didn't fail to notice Shogun's blindfold, and he hadn't been there long enough for many of the guards to know he can 'see' perfectly fine without it.
The fact that he was wielding a spear didn't help much.
He kept the spear moving the whole time, using both hands to twirl it, and using his feet to steer the horse. Focusing on multitasking like this was good practise for fighting multiple foes. He also tried to see how far he could see a guard's patrol route at the same time, so he was really having to focus.
After a few hours of this, he noticed the horse starting to get tired, which was usually a good indication that was getting tired, but was too focussed to notice. He stopped at the small pond near his house, which he noted was where he had spoken to Katrina a few nights ago. He let the horse have a drink, whilst he drank from a water skin tied to his belt.
Kitra had been over in the archery field practicing for awhile when she noticed that Shogun was riding his beautiful horse. Her mouth quirked when she also noticed that the guards were a little jittery about that. More then likely it was because he was wearing his blindfold. She continued practicing for a bit, then put her quiver of arrows away and the bow faded away to nothingness in her hands.
She strode over to the small pond where Shogun was letting his horse drink from. "Hello Shogun, haven't seen you in awhile. How are you?" She fidgeted slightly for a few moments, "Also, another question for you. Is it possible for me to do some training with you?" 'There, she had asked, now for his answer.

Shogun had noticed Kitra approaching, and wandered what she wanted. he didn't have to wait long, as she asked him to train. "Sure. What did you have in mind? More archery?" Come to think of it, it had been a while since he had used his bow, and he needed to practise with his Psyite arrows. He could do with practising with the grandes too. "I've recently been given some new weapons from Hades to improve my abilities, and I havnt used them yet." He patted Dove's neck as she reared up, eager to be moving again. He could sense her wanting to be free, wanting to be back in her mountains. She didn't like being caged up, despite the expansive grounds. But it would have to do for now.
Kitra stopped fiddling and looked up, "Actually no, I mean weapons training. I've been training with Hunter and now that he's away, with some of his men." She scratched the back of her head, "The thing is, they aren't as fast as I would like them to be. That's why I'm asking you to train with me." She grinned, "And we can practice archery too. I've been improving on that as well."

Shogun nodded. "I could do with some practise in combat as well. I havn';t been training much with anything besides my swords, I'll get some of Antonescu's men to bring down my weapons for me." Ordinarily, he would would carry them himself, but it was punishment to the guards for being so jittery about a blind man almost killing them. "We can use one of the taing rooms, or would you prefer to train out here?"
Kitra smiled, "It really doesn't matter to me. It would mean however, we would scare the guards even more if we trained out here." Kitra just wanted the weapons practice. Once this training session with Shogun was over, then she would practice on her own. She wanted to get more practice in with her new found ability, she didn't want to risk anyone's life though. "Once you have your weapons, we can began whenever you like." She didn't have any weapons on her, only her sketchbook.

Scaring more guards? "If the guards are being hred to protect the labs, then they must learn to not show fear." He waved a couple guards over. "Inside my house, on the wall to your right will be a spear and a morning star. Opposite that will be an axe and a sword. Please go bring all four of them out here." He wasn't fond of particularly long weapons, and dispised the randomness of the morning star. But he was detirmined to be able to wield all weapons well, so he would practise with them. Doing what he didn't like was a good way to disclipin himself. The guards shortly returned, one carrying a long spear, with a half-foot metal point on the end, and the morning, the ball swinging from it's chain. The other guard carried a heavy battleaxe and a short sword. "I like to use different weapons," Shogun commented to Kitra as the guards carefully layed down the weapons and returned to what they were doing. Before picking up a weapon, he pulled out a psyite grenade. He had practised with one of these earlier in the training rooms, but now he had a chance to try it in a real fight. "This is a Psyite grenade, to boost my power. I'm still not used to it, so it will probably be a hindrance more than anything at first." Shogun tossed the greande into the air, and it exploded. It wasn't especially loud, but still drew the attention, and gunsights, of many of the nearby guards.
Shogun could sense the billions of bacteria floating outwards, speeding away from the spot where they were released. They covered everything nearby, so now he had an exact image of everything around him. It was for this reason that he had been practising his multitasking earlier, as it was a little overwhelming. Still, he lowered his spear to point at Kitra. "Whenever you're ready."
Kitra watched, slightly fascinated as the grenade went off. Shogun had picked his spear and had it pointed directly at her. She grinned and picked out one of her weapons from her sketchbook and concentrated. Soon, a steel bo appeared in her hands, glinting slightly in the sun. Despite the fact it was stell, it wasn't that heavy. At least not to her, she prefered using weighted weapns in training. It made real fights more interesting, since a lighter weapin meant quicker reaction time.
Kitra dashed to the left bringing her bo to slam down on Shogun's spear. She stopped just before reaching it and switched its postion to hit Shogun in hisn side. If it connected, it might hurt her more then it would hurt him. He had his armor on, this would make things a bit more difficult.

He should have waited before using the grenade, as the bacteria weren't on the bo. But there were still some in the air, so he got a good idea of its length. A pulseidentified it as being very smooth, so probably metal. he could guess from her muscle movments, and the speed with which she was moving, that it was probably heavier than wood. So, most likely a steel bo.
He had thought this all through as she came at him, and focussing through the large amount of bacteria, he was able to make out her very human presense. Humans were easier to pick out than animals, as they were so very much different. He saw her faint coming, so he only moved his spear slightly to block, to give the illusion of falling for it, but then moved to deal with her real attack.
because the bo was metal, he wasn't sure if his wooden spear would be able to stand it, so instead he jumped back. Hoping that heis unexpected evasion would put her off-balance, he flicked the bottem of his spear up, hoping to catch her in the stomach. It wouldn't hurt much, but if it connected it would wind her enough to allow him to neatly put the spear point next to neck.
Kitra nearly fell as Shogun jumped back, evading her blow. She used her momentum to block his attack to her stomach. She lurched backwards before bringing her bo up and twirled it to add a bit of confusion. She then slammed it down, going for his right shoulder.

As the bow twirled, Shogun had to focus to ignore the psyite everywhere. Note to self; don't use as much psyite. He focused on Kitra, and s he bow swung down he held his spear horizontally to block it. He angled it as the bo came down, so that it would slide harmlessly off to his right. As he did so, he aimed a kick at her midriff, hoping she would be too focused on the weapons to do anything about it.
He blocked her bo, making her slid off his spear. As he did this, he kicked out at her midriff. Kitra leapt back, but not quick enough. She got grazed and winced before bringing her bo down on the offending leg. He may be wearing armor, but it was bound to make him sore if it connected. She concentrated on a small dagger in her sketchbook and brought it in to being. It appeared behind Shogun and whizzed directly for the back of his neck.

As Shogun got a thwack to the leg, he ducked the oncoming knife so that it sailed over his head, and as he came back up he thrusted the spear point at Kit. He watched the knife's path though the bacteria, and also noticed that several guards had stopped paying so much attention to what they were doing as they were distracted by the sounds of the fight.
