The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Kaz had long since reverted back to his true form when he was dropped on the floor. His cuts had closed and barely showed in this form. His bruises were light and minimal. Something about that other form just wasn't right. Kaz's hand moved to his head as he covered his eyes from the lights with his hand. Looking through his fingers he saw the high ceiling and bland walls. "Where the...." He saw someone...someone red. Slowly Kaz got to his feet, which were a bit shaky. <Guess I musta been out for a while.> "Abyss, What's goin on? Why are we in the training room? When and how'd we get back? More importantly, what the hell happened?"

Kaz couldn't help but chuckle. "What the hell is this Abyss?" Black. Black, everywhere. Kaz couldn't see a thing, not the floor nor his hands in front of his face. Kaz pulled his hair back and tied it in place. Kaz assumed a defensive stance. He couldn't see the walls, but he 'felt' them, like something in the back of his mind told him he was surrounded by something unnatural. He was perfectly still, nothing on his person moved or shifted. The only noise came from his mouth when he spoke softly into the void around him. "Whether I do or don't, doesn't really matter. If I did, then you did something to deserve it, and, you're not Abyss. Which one are you? Pluto, Jupiter, Saturn? Do you have a stump for an arm now? Is that why you have me in this...box? To put me at a disadvantage." Kaz was silent and still still, his breathing completely controlled and steady. His ears caught every little noise. If he was dealing with what he thought he was, he could be hit from any angle without warning, he would probably only have less than a half second to react. He kept his eyes close, focusing their energy to his hearing.

"If you don't have a stump then what's the problem. You're mad because your pride was hurt, that's pathetic. Grow up Saturn." Scoffing, "How much flesh do you want? My arm? That'd be rather excessive seeing as you didn't LOOSE anything. Maybe just to bleed and feel pain? You want to cause permanent damage on me though you have none yourself?"
Due to Kaz's stance his head was lower than it would be if he was just standing. When Saturn punched out at Kaz, his shirt made the slightest ruffle that was picked up by Kaz's keen hearing, though the sound from the void made it quite hard. It was just enough to move fully out of the way. He felt the air move from the punch, he had a good idea where Saturn's arm was. His hand began to vibrate immediately. Shooting up he meant to catch Saturn's arm, if he landed it he would stop his open palmed strike just as it touched 'flesh', sending shock waves through Saturn, shattering blood vessels. With how densely packed Saturn's arm is, if the shock wave hit, it would do a lot of damage in a small area.

The voice changed slightly, a bit more rough and gruff, yet at the same time smooth and clear, "And you had no idea what would happen when you put your arm in the path of the whips. It's your own fault for loosing that arm." Sarrus enjoyed poking fun at Saturn. Kaz reasserted himself to full control while trying to counter Saturn.
" So perhaps I don't know if you will bleed or feel pain."
Kaz scoffed at Saturn, "That is so lame. That's a blatant and pathetically weak lie and you know it." Saturn twisted his offending arm towards Kaz's. With it being dark as it was, Kaz was actively using his senses to try and pick up any attack from Saturn, but he didn't have perfect focus with Saturn's attacking arm. Whatever was around Kaz was freaking him out just a bit, it was the first time he'd ever felt this way, and probably one of the last. Of course Kaz would never admit to feeling this way. Saturn's massive hand gripped down on Kaz's upper arm, much to Kaz's annoyance.

Kaz flexed his arm and reached to try and loosen Saturn's grip. Before he had a chance he felt something hit his other shoulder. Gritting his teeth, Kaz kept silent, he could already feel the stiffness in his shoulder. Suddenly the world was VERY bright. His eyes had adapted to the lack of light and had dilated completely, the sudden entrance of light made him shut his eyes tightly and look down towards the ground.
After a few moments he blinked away the spots and looked around. "Got you back." Kaz looked at Saturn with one squinted eye as the other was shut, he saw the smirk on his face. A surprised dumbfounded look was on Kaz's. "Huh." Saturn had taken his hand off of Kaz's shoulder, so Kaz reached with his good arm to the other shoulder and looked. As soon as he touched it, he grimaced and saw a purple-black bruise already there...in the shape of an enlarged finger. In a surprised and confused tone, "You flicked me?" He went silent for a moment before shaking his head and looking downwards a bit. He chuckled. "I guess it's better than the alternative." He held his hand out to Saturn. "Sorry."

Kaz looked at Saturn, the look on his face showed clearly he wasn't sure how to answer the man. "I...I think I am. I mean...sometimes I sorta loose focus. I don't, Blackout, but I don't always remember everything clearly." He rolled a few things around in his head while tapping his arm with his fingers. "Sorta like...an overview of what happened, that's what I get when I loose focus. I'm usually a lot more pissed and I want to spill blood a lot more." He laughed at how crazy that made him seem. "I can't tell you why for the life of me. Honestly, I don't remember cutting your arm 'OFF'. I," He went silent as he searched for the memory. "I was just about to impale your sister four times over when out of nowhere you show up and put your arms in the way and the whips wrapping around your arm because of that....but that's...about it. Until I got bashed by the wolf-chick." He looked at Saturn, "That really wasn't smart, the whip doesn't discriminate. But it shouldn't have cut your arm off just from that. I didn't pull back on it. I can remember trying to get it off...."
Kaz realized he had started to babble, "Infirmary? I suppose we should head there. Other than a few bruises and my jaw bleeding inside and a few claw marks...I think I'm fine." He laughed. "Ok, maybe I got hit a few more times than I thought. I'll have to make a stop in the living quarter first though. Gotta wake someone up."

Kaz chuckled a bit at Saturn. He waved his hand at Abyss, "No, you guys head to the infirmary. I'll catch up with ya later...besides, I doubt she'll like me waking her up." Kaz mumbled to himself as he started out of the training room, "Maybe I won't have to go to the infirmary."
