Well, That's Unfortunate (Forte)

Kyle had to give Tses credit; the girl was quick, even without simply running through everything with her new ability. She'd had only a small head start but she'd made good time in her efforts to escape to the roof; Kyle was only moments behind her and that was because he had to actually dodge around people, a task he was well accustomed too. If she hadn't gone through that door, Kyle might have lost track of her.

Which begged the question..she'd run through the walls of the stores to get the headstart, but had to go through the door physically? Maybe her ability had a limit to how long she could use it, one that made it harder to use the more or longer she used it at once? More theories, not proof yet...well, not solid proof. He would just have to catch her and find out.

He almost caught her on the roof, till she jumped to the next building and went down the fire escape before he could catch up to her. Looking over the railing, he noticed her just making for the street..towards people. Crap. If she got into foot traffic like that, Kyle would never catch her. He needed to thin the herd.

THrowing both arms back, he first thrust one forward at her, sending a sudden lance of energy at her back while she wasn't looking. She wasn't in the crowd yet and from here, she looked normal enough to hit. Time would tell. And then, with the other arm raised...he jumped. Off the building. Timed it...waited...and then threw his energy out of his other hand about a story and a half from the ground, using the force of it to slow his fall enough that when he landed into a roll and back running, it only hurt a little bit rather than break his legs.

"Not a bad try kid...but you're finish was weak. Now stop running and let's talk this out this time instead."
